“Same gesture, different political party. Funny how that works,” . . .

. . . New ‘Nazi salute’ furore erupts in US as Cory Booker is accused of making the same gesture as Elon Musk said activist Brandon Straka, joking (sarcastically) that Mr Booker was “giving a heartfelt, patriotic salute” while Mr Musk was “personally resurrecting the Third Reich, according to the media”.

. . ."Media Double Standards: Elon Musk vs. Cory Booker in 'Nazi Salute' Controversy
In early 2025, two prominent figures—tech mogul Elon Musk and Senator Cory Booker—found themselves at the center of controversy for making gestures that some interpreted as resembling a Nazi salute. However, the media's response to each incident highlighted a stark contrast, raising questions about biases in reporting.
"Elon Musk's Gesture and Media Backlash
"On January 20, 2025, during a celebration of President Donald Trump's inauguration, Elon Musk made a gesture that drew widespread criticism. He placed his hand over his heart and extended his arm outward with an open palm, a motion many perceived as akin to a Nazi salute. Media outlets such as Axios, CNN, NPR and Reuters reported extensively on the incident, with headlines emphasizing the controversy and public outcry.
"Musk dismissed the accusations, referring to them as "dirty tricks" and expressing frustration over the media's portrayal. Despite his defense, the incident led to significant backlash, including calls for bans in certain countries and criticism from various organizations.
"Cory Booker's Similar Gesture and Media Silence
Several months later, Senator Cory Booker made a gesture during a speech at the California Democratic Convention that bore similarities to Musk's. He placed his hand over his heart and extended his arm outward with an open palm. While social media users quickly drew parallels between Booker's and Musk's gestures, mainstream media outlets largely refrained from covering the incident.

Jonathan Turley Drops Inconvenient Fact Check on Rep. Crockett After Hilarious Claim About 'Caring' Dems

 Sister Toldjah

"I think you OK with punching." "all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.""this dude [Sen. Cruz] has to be knocked over the head, like hard, right? "Let me tell you that we know how to use a chair, whether we’re pulling it up or we’re doing something else with it."

Jasmine Crockett: "We out in these hot a** streets with the 'hot wheels

governor' who a hot a** mess!"

"One of the biggest lies ever told in the history of the world is that the Democrat Party is the party of "love" and "compassion." In fact, one of the reasons I completed my conversion to the dark side (conservatism) all those years ago and never looked back was the realization that there was nothing "loving and compassionate," for example, about advocating for the "right" to terminate innocent, unborn life at any stage of pregnancy.

So, like many on our side of the aisle, whenever I hear such claims coming from Democrats and their allies in the press, I just shake my head. And then will promptly set out to set the record straight in hopes of keeping casual observers of the goings-on in this country from being fooled.

We are at that moment yet again, with emerging Democrat "leader" Jasmine Crockett being the latest example.

The woke Texas Congresswoman recently sat down for a chat on MSDNC where, among other things, she discussed her desire to "lead" the House Oversight Committee in the event Democrats retake control of the House.

While that was hilarious in and of itself, even more comical was what she proclaimed about Democrats allegedly being the political party that loves and cares for people:

But my issue is this: All of y’all voted for this so that it would hurt somebody else. The problem was you got upset when you found out that, ‘Oh, shoot, it can hurt me too?’ And honestly, it is like it’s ingrained in who Democrats are is that we actually care and we love and we want to take care of everybody, and that’s why we got this big tent party and we all over the place. . . .

. . ."As far as I'm concerned, if Jasmine Crockett wants to be the face of the Democrat Party going into 2026, more power to her. And if she does it with the Democrats' blessing, that's even better - and will make the GOP's job a whole lot easier with a whole lot more material to work with come the midterm elections." . . .

From 201i; They Never Change! Palestinian who slaughtered Fogel family has no regrets

 Phil Boehmke,via American Thinker

"Last month as Mr. Obama was pandering to the Muslim world by suggesting that Israel return to their 1967 borders, the Palestinian Authority enacted a new law which will pay a monthly salary to Palestinians and Arab-Israelis serving prison sentences in Israel for terrorism."
The Fogel Family

"The two Palestinian teen-agers from Awarta (West Bank) who brutally slaughtered the Fogel family in their Itamar home (north of Jerusalem) on March 11, were officially charged with five counts of homicide on Sunday.  The Jerusalem Post reports:

The defendants, 17-year-old Hakim Awad and 18-year-old Amjad Awad, who are from the same clan, have confessed to stabbing and shooting two young brothers, their parents, and a three-month-old baby in the attack.

"In a chilling statement to reporters, an unrepentant Amjad Awad proclaimed "I don't regret what I did, and I would do it again," adding "I'm proud of what I did and I'll accept any punishment I get, even death, because I did it all for Palestine."

"The official charges provide details of how the Awads approached the home and noticed 4-year old Elad and his 11-year-old brother Yoav asleep in their beds and then entered the home and stabbed the boys to death.  The killers then made their way to the parent's bedroom where they attacked Ehud and Ruth Fogel.  During the attack the Fogels fought a desperate battle with their attackers, but the Awads overpowered the couple and Ehud succumbed to numerous stab wounds while Ruth was shot to death during the struggle.

"As the two murderers fled the home, they could hear the cries of Hadas, the Fogel's three-month-old daughter who had been awakened by the attack.  The Awads re-entered the home and stabbed the baby to death in her crib." . . .

From 2019: The Bedford Boys: A Time for Remembrance and Gratitude

Intellectual Takeout

"Let us hope and pray that there will always be young people like the Bedford Boys who love their country and who are willing to risk their lives to preserve our freedoms."  Jeff Minick, author

Company A, 116th Infantry, 29th Division: 95 % casualties in the first wave at Omaha Beach; June 6th, 1944
Think of these men while you watch the opening of "Saving Private Ryan". TD

"Thursday, June 6th, 2019, brings the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the massive assault on occupied France by Allied Forces in World War II. It was the greatest seaborne invasion in military history.

"President Trump has gone to Britain to share in the remembrance of D-Day. Speakers in Great Britain, the United States, and France will remind us, and rightfully so, of that historical event and of the past sacrifices that have enabled us to live in freedom. Some of us may break out “The Longest Day” or “Saving Private Ryan” as a way to recollect the dead of that battle and to honor those who, having gained a foothold on French soil, marched across that country and linked up with the Soviets to bring down tyranny and Adolph Hitler.

"As we call to mind those boys and men who parachuted behind enemy lines into Normandy, who rode on landing craft into the machine gun and artillery fire at beaches code-named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword, who climbed the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, who drowned in the English Channel or were shot dead in the surf, some in our country will also remember the Bedford Boys." . . .Full article here

Tim Walz Paints Bleak Picture of the Democratic Party

The American Spectator

"Walz and the Democrats continue to deny their own mistakes. Unwilling to surrender losing cultural issues such as transgenderism and DEI, they are floundering for a way to win back voters."

"Minnesota governor and former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz’s address to the California Democratic Party on Saturday demonstrated that the Democrats have diagnosed a problem with their public image but are unwilling to implement a solution.

"Walz spoke to Democrats in California and South Carolina this past Saturday. Much media attention has been devoted to his South Carolina address, where he made his now-infamous call for the party to “bully” President Donald Trump. However, his speech in California was equally important.

"During that speech, Walz repeatedly acknowledged a serious issue with voters’ current perception of the Democratic Party. Walz described the “primal scream” of voters, which demands that the party reorient the messaging it puts out and the policies it makes.

"“None of us can afford to shy away,” Walz said, “from having hard conversations about what it’s [going to] take to win elections.”

"Walz called his party a “deer in headlights” and noted that voters won’t “elect roadkill.” He explored how the party lost the working-class vote to Donald Trump and urged his fellow Democrats to “get out there and listen to people.”

"These are statistically driven exhortations. However, Walz did not leave his speech there. Though the governor was clear that his party must refocus its vision, many other statements throughout his address directly contradicted this advice.

"The governor warned the party to avoid “calibrating [its] words” and instead urged Democrats to continue discussing issues like abortion, climate change, transgenderism, and DEI policies. “Don’t worry about the pollsters calling it distractions,” he reassured." . . .

"Thousands" Of Empty Units After LA Wastes $1 Billion On Homeless Housing

 Zero Hedge

Analysts initially praised the plan. But as empty rooms pile up, so do costs—interim housing placements, security contracts, staff salaries, and millions spent just to keep these “investments” from decaying.

"Once hailed as a fast-track solution to California’s homelessness crisis, Project Homekey now looks like a billion-dollar boondoggle littered with empty buildings and broken promises.

"In Los Angeles County, shuttered motels meant to house the unhoused stand lifeless—fenced-off, vacant, and increasingly resembling abandoned movie sets rather than havens for the vulnerable, according to Westside Current.

"Meanwhile, a stone’s throw away, other properties funded by Homekey have become de facto homeless encampments, complete with tents and makeshift fire pits. Out of 2,157 rooms the county bought with $550 million, a staggering 71% sit empty. The city’s record is only slightly better, with 44% of its 1,237 units still unoccupied despite spending $820 million.

"The problem? Bureaucratic delays, ballooning costs, and questionable deals—like a luxury Mid-City apartment building the city bought for $36.5 million despite contractor liens, or a facility flipped for twice the price just days after a private buyer snagged it." . . .

Another DEI hire burns Biden

Trevor Thomas

. . ."In other words, like Kamala Harris, et al., Jean-Pierre was a DEI hire, and like Kamala, she was a disaster at her job! And as was the case with naming Kamala as his V.P., the Jean-Pierre hire has now come back to bite Biden." . . .

"The one consistent thing I’ve heard about Karine Jean-Pierre since she announced that she’s leaving the Democrat party and publishing a book—Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines—about her time in the inept Biden administration is that she was “the worst White House press secretary in history,” or something very close to it."

"Yesterday, the Washington Free Beacon declared, “Jean-Pierre is widely regarded (by normal Americans) as the worst White House press secretary in modern history.” Scott Jennings said, “She is the literal worst White House press secretary in my lifetime.” Axios reported that an unnamed House Democrat stated, “Other than Sean Spicer ... she was the worst press secretary in American history.”

"The Axios article set fire to Jean-Pierre’s reputation:

Jean-Pierre has also been lit up by her former Biden White House colleagues, with one former official telling Axios’ Alex Thompson she was ‘one of the most ineffectual and unprepared people I've ever worked with.’

  • ‘She had meltdowns after any interview that asked about a topic not sent over by producers,’ the official said.
  • Said another: ‘The amount of time that was spent coddling [Jean-Pierre] and appeasing her was astronomical compared to our attention on actual matters of substance.’

"Almost every political pundit sees Jean-Pierre’s move for exactly what it is: a grift; or at least an attempt at a grift. She wants to cash in on her time as Biden’s press secretary, and nothing else has worked out so far (even “The View” doesn’t want her!), so why not leave the party and write a book? After all, as is almost always the case with those who share Jean-Pierre’s worldview, this is all about her and what’s in it for her." . . .

How can you not know? ..."you’re a part of the problem? You’ve been inciting the 'river to the sea' crowd for years.”

Law Enforcement Today

In similar commentary, Republican voting activist Scott Pressler wrote, “When are you going to realize that you’re a part of the problem? You’ve been inciting the 'river to the sea' crowd for years.”

"Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she was “horrified” by Saturday’s antisemitic terror attack in Colorado after having previously backed a controversial anti-Israel measure that critics say fuels hatred and violence.

“I am horrified by last night’s horrific attack in Boulder.” Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez wrote in her post to X,  “My heart is with the victims and our Jewish communities across the country. Antisemitism is on the rise here at home, and we have a moral responsibility to confront and stop it everywhere it exists.”

"It was back in 2019 that AOC co-sponsored a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a bill which the Anti-Defamation League has said is part of a tactic to "delegitimize" Israel, as well as her defense of Omar against House discipline for antisemitism. Meanwhile, Democratic voters have continued to protest the embattled Social Democrat’s alleged support for Israel, as crime in her district has spiked.

"The Congresswoman faced swift backlash, echoing her struggle for nearly a year to reconcile her support for the Biden administration’s Israel policy while confronting a rebellion from pro-Hamas supporters angered by her shift in stance.

“Jews are targeted with violence and it's the same virtue signal post time and time again,” World Series champion baseball player Kevin Youkilis wrote in an excoriating rebuke for AOC, “What have you done to confront those calling for intifadas in NYC? Until you create a plan of action, your repeated virtue signaling after the violence occurs holds no weight.” . . .
