How California Colleges Created Kwanzaa and Destroyed America

 Daniel Greenfield | Frontpage Mag

"The same California university system that helped give us Kwanzaa, Angela Davis, Barack Obama and Kamala Harris wrecked the state and the country. And it isn’t done yet. Imagine if we stopped funding it."

"In 1965, Ronald McKinley Everett changed his name to Maulana Karenga, in 1966, he invented the fictional holiday of Kwanzaa, in 1969, members of his US black nationalist organization got into a gunfight with Black Panthers at UCLA, in 1971, he was arrested for torturing two women, and in 1989, he was hired as the chair of the black studies department at a California State University college where he currently teaches on subjects such as “the socio-ethical thought of Malcolm X” and “Ancient Egyptian Maatian Ethics” (after the goddess Maat).

"The story of Kwanzaa and Karenga is a small part of the larger story of how California’s public colleges, its UC (University of California) and CSU (California State University) systems, incubated, financed and inflicted some of the worst racial political extremism on America.

"When Chancellor Charles Young (later the head of the Qatar Foundation) took office, UCLA had a 12% minority population. Young, like many radical administrators, was on a mission to rapidly increase the minority population through affirmative action and make it more appealing to them with identity politics courses of the kind being championed by the Ford Foundation.

"Karenga (pictured above) was admitted to UCLA despite being a high school dropout. UCLA had created the ‘High Potential Program’ as a form of affirmative action to enable black students with poor grades and not much of an academic track record (but ‘high potential’) to be admitted ahead of more qualified students on account of their race. Or at least that was the theory.

"The reality however was quite different." . . .  More...

January 22, 2026 Democrats Join Republicans in Voting the Clintons in Contempt of Congress

Hillary Clinton Fundraises for Minneapolis Rioters  "And accidentally exposes the radical networks behind the rioters."

Democrats Join Republicans in Voting the Clintons in Contempt of Congress – JONATHAN TURLEY

"For a party that runs on fighting the privileged and entitled wealthy class, this vote is comically ironic. They are supporting the claim of the Clintons that they get to decide when they will be subject to legal demands without offering an even remotely plausible legal defenses."

Editorial Cartoons That Bite

Yesterday, a curious thing happened in a House Committee. Bill and Hillary Clinton were actually held accountable for flouting the law — at least as a preliminary matter. In the House Oversight Committee, Democrats joined Republicans in approving contempt resolutions against the two political figures after they refused to appear to answer questions about their connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
The House panel voted 34-8 to advance the resolution on Bill Clinton to a floor vote. It voted 28-15 to advance a resolution on Hillary Clinton.
"As previously discussed, the Clintons adopted a position that was devoid of any cognizable legal defense. It was simple hubris, telling Congress that they did not want to appear to be saying that congressional subpoenas are discretionary for them.
"From the Whitewater case to the Lewinsky matter to the email scandal, the Clintons have always escaped accountability for their actions. Courts can find perjury and prosecutors can find classified material without a criminal charge. Evidence can suddenly surface after investigations, or thousands of emails can be destroyed without any repercussions.
"After that history, it is little surprise that the Clintons would believe that they, unlike other Americans, can choose whether to comply with a subpoena. After standing in flagrant contempt, the Clintons only reaffirmed the sense of entitlement by offering to allow an interview in New York without a transcript. There would be no “what the meaning of ‘is’ is” moments.
"It is a demonstration of our partisan times that the mere fact that Democrats joined in the motion came as a surprise to many. Nine Democrats voted with their GOP colleagues against the Clintons
"What is disgraceful are those Democrats who dispensed with any institutional or ethical obligations in opposing the resolution. Here were the eight Democrats who voted to allow the Clintons to disregard lawfully issued subpoenas from the Committee:
"The three Democrats who voted to advance the resolution against Hillary Clinton are Lee, Stansbury and Tlaib, according to Politico."

The committee voted 34-8 to advance a contempt recommendation against Bill Clinton, with two members voting present. A separate contempt recommendation against Hillary Clinton passed 28-15, with one member voting present. Nine Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the contempt measure against Bill Clinton, while three Democrats voted with Republicans to advance the recommendation against Hillary Clinton.

The 'Stolen Land' Argument Has Reared Up Again, and It Still Makes No Sense –

Remember in those high school student elections how we looked around to see who the cool kids were voting for and voted the same. We dared not go against the grain. How can we not see these "Hollywood elites" as making a career choice at the expense of our nation? TD

"Every piece of land, everywhere, has been occupied, lived on, hunted, fished, and worked by someone who came along before the someone who is there now. The piece of land I sit on as I write this formerly belonged to another family who built the house and outbuildings and raised a family here. Before that, it was part of a homestead by a family whose name still appears on plat maps of the borough. Before that, there's scarce evidence that any Natives occupied this land for any length of time, but absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence, so it's possible." . . .

Watch: CNN's Scott Jennings hits singer Billie Eilish with reality check following her comments about ICE and 'stolen land'  .

. . . "Jennings noted a few issues with this, however.

"What does she mean by stolen land? Radical communists like Billie, who profits handsomely from American capitalism, believe America is stolen from Native Americans. Which means we have no right to enforce laws today, chiefly immigration laws," Jennings said.

"By the way, Billie Eilish lives in a $14 million mansion in Los Angeles on property that was once inhabited by the Tongva tribe," he added.

"So far as we can tell, she hasn't taken any steps to return her mansion and surrounding properties to its rightful owners, but we'll keep you posted."

Native American tribe has message for Billie Eilish after Grammy's speech

. . . "The Native American tribe that owns the land under Billie Eilish’s multimillion-dollar Los Angeles mansion said celebrities should “explicitly” reference the tribes if they want to use them to virtue-signal." . . . "But, then again, these leftists think all of America is on stolen land. And yet these snobby freaks remain in America."   Not one word about Iran. Zero.

Billie Eilish under fire to fork over mansion

“The woman is a blithering idiot. Of course, if she really means it, then she’ll happily hand over her multi-million pound Malibu beachfront home to illegal migrants,” wrote British journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer on X. “Which she won’t, because it’s all just silly celeb posturing.”

"Lefty pop star Billie Eilish is facing calls to hand over her ritzy Los Angeles digs to a Native American tribe or illegal immigrant after she declared “No one is illegal on stolen land” at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

"The “Wildflower” singer, 24, is being accused of virtue signaling for the anti-ICE remarks she made while accepting the award for Song of the Year on Sunday night.

" 'What about if we all showed up to her mansion and said we are going to live there now? It’s stolen land right? She doesn’t own it,” wrote one X user in response to Eilish’s comments.

" 'Meanwhile, she’s chilling in her … Hollywood Hills fortress with armed guards and a moat of privilege. If the land’s so stolen, sis, hand over the keys to the nearest tribe or migrant family,” wrote political commentator and YouTuber Brandon Tatum." . . . More photos at the link.

Man launches GoFundMe to move into Billie Eilish’s home after her ‘stolen land’ Grammys remarks

"A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by an Australian man who says he plans to move into Billie Eilish’s Malibu home, citing the singer’s recent comments at the Grammy Awards that “no one is illegal on stolen land.”. . .

"The fundraiser was created after Eilish criticized US immigration enforcement and spoke out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the awards ceremony." . . .

Drivers fume over Dem-led push that could see them taxed for every mile: ‘Citizens treated like ATMs’

NY Post: California drivers are a step closer to paying per mile tax

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-San Diego) warned that AB 1421 could pave the way for intrusive government monitoring, branding it “a tool for future control.”

Republican assemblywoman Alexandra Macedo
a vocal critic of the proposal.

"California drivers and Republican legislators are furious over a Democrat-led proposal that could see motorists taxed for each mile they drive.
"With the state staring down a budget deficit in the billions and more Californians switching to electric vehicles, Democratic lawmakers are searching for new ways to shore up declining gas tax revenue.
"Californians pay the second-highest gas price in the nation behind only Hawaii. In January, the average price was $4.23 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association.
"On Thursday, state legislators advanced Democrat Lori Wilson’s bill, AB 1421, which would direct the California Transportation Commission and the state Transportation Agency to continue studying options for a mileage-based tax, rather than implementing one.
"Opponents of the proposal were out in force Saturday, with activists gathering at Cal Expo in Sacramento to collect signatures opposing a raft of new Democratic tax measures, including a potential mileage charge." . . .
