Chinese-owned farmland next to 19 US military bases in ‘alarming’ threat to national security

NY Post   "China has been buying up strategically placed farmland next to military installations across the US, raising national security fears over potential espionage or even sabotage. The Post has identified 19 bases across the US from Florida to Hawaii which are in close proximity to land bought up by Chinese entities and could be exploited by spies working for the communist nation. They include some of the military’s most strategically important bases: Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) in Fayetteville, North Carolina; Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) in Killeen, Texas; Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California, and MacDill air force base in Tampa, Florida. Robert S. Spalding III, a retired United States Air Force brigadier general whose work focuses US-China relations told The Post: “It is concerning due to the proximity to strategic locations." . . .

“It is alarming we do not have laws on the books that would prevent the Chinese from buying property in the US.”

"Under the guise of farming, the Chinese landowners could set up reconnaissance sights, install tracking technology, use radar and infra-red scanning to view bases or attempt to fly drones over them as ways to surveil military sites, sources told The Post.

"A report in the Wall Street Journal from September 2023 found Chinese intruders attempted to breach military facilities over 100 times in recent years, including sneaking onto a missile range in New Mexico and scuba divers spotted near a government rocket-launch site in Florida.

"The threat the Chinese government poses to America is huge, with the FBI labelling it a “grave threat” and director Christopher Wray saying in April hackers have made their way into US critical infrastructure and are waiting “for just the right moment to deal a devastating blow” and “physically wreak havoc.' ” . . .   More...

Grieving families’ fury exposes Democrats’ grotesque gaslighting on violent crime

Jennifer Harrison NY Post
"Yet just as we saw in New York, House Democrats in Charlotte did not come to listen with empathy or humility. They came armed with talking points and political spin, determined to discredit grieving parents and loved ones, and to invalidate the raw truth of what these families endure every single day."

"On Monday, as I watched the House Judiciary Committee convene its field hearing on violent crime in Charlotte, NC, it all came rushing back.

"In April 2023, I testified before that same committee here in New York, in a hearing made necessary by the disastrous progressive policies implemented by a George Soros-funded district attorney and the state’s “soft-on-crime” laws.

"I spoke both as a survivor of homicide — the love of my life was murdered decades ago — and as an advocate who has worked alongside countless other victims of violent crime ever since.

"My words were not about politics, but about life and death.

"Two years later, House members convened in Charlotte for the very same reason, in the wake of the horrific light-rail slaying of Iryna Zarutska.

"Families shattered by murder and violent crime came to share their stories. Their words were gut-wrenching, their pain undeniable." . . .

. . . "Logan Federico, Mary Collins, Iryna Zarutska, the list goes on. Do their lives not matter?

"Consider what these families brought into that hearing room.

"Steve Federico broke down as he described his daughter Logan being dragged out of bed, naked, shot in the head — perhaps praying in her final moments that her father, her hero, would burst in to save her.

"How could any human being listen to that man and then dismiss him with a talking point?"...  More...

Mamdani’s plan for disciplining cops exposes his anti-blue bigotry

 NY Post

In short, Mamdani’s “reform” would be yet another reason for every officer to leave the NYPD, whether via retiring as soon as possible or finding a cop job somewhere else.

"Zohran Mamdani just offered fresh proof of his deep anti-cop bigotry with his call to shift key powers to discipline officers to the Civilian Complaint Review Board.

It’s a terrible fix for a problem that doesn’t exist — and one that would lead to worse policing, and so more crime; it would likely even produce a force with far more bad cops.

“What I would do is ensure that the recommendations of the CCRB be understood to be the final voice of the question of accountability,” Mamdani says — without pointing to any actual bad results of the current law, which gives final say to the police commissioner.

Anti-blue prejudice is hard-wired into the board. Nearly half its members are chosen by the bitterly anti-policing City Council and cop-hating Public Advocate Jumaane Williams; the staff leans heavily left, too.

And the CCRB incorporates anonymous tips into its files on individual officers — an open invitation for gangs and other criminal organizations to smear cops who are actually too good at their job.

Transgender Ideology Killed Charlie Kirk and It’s Destroying America

Joseph Ford Cotto

"The menace of transgender ideology cannot be wished away. It must be named, challenged, and defeated—for the sake of truth, for the sake of justice, and for the sake of America not going the way of self-destruction. Charlie Kirk knew the stakes. Now the rest of America must know them too." JFC

"Charlie Kirk is dead. Americans must face why.

"His murder was not random, not confusing, not detached from the battles he fought so fiercely in life. It was the direct consequence of his bold refusal to bend before one of the most aggressive and destabilizing ideologies of our time: transgender radicalism.

"For years, Kirk warned about the dangers of this movement. Not just its cultural consequences, but the deeper crisis of mental illness and violence it has unleashed across the nation. In the end, his voice was silenced by precisely the pestilence he spent his career opposing.

"The facts are painfully clear. On Sept. 13, 2025, police captured Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old suspect in Kirk’s murder, after a tense 33-hour manhunt that spanned cities and involved local law enforcement working with the FBI. Robinson had been living in a shared apartment in Saint George, Utah, with roommates, including Lance Twiggs, a young man “transitioning” from male to female.

"The shooting itself occurred two days earlier, during Kirk’s “American Comeback” speaking tour at Utah Valley University in Orem, south of Provo. Kirk was engaging with students on subjects including gun violence and transgender issues when he was struck in the neck by a sniper’s bullet. Moments before, a student had asked him about the number of transgender mass shooters over the past decade.

"The irony was crushing: a man known for exposing the dangers of transgender activism was gunned down in the very event he addressed the link between that ideology and violence." . . .

New: FBI Director Patel Lops Off Comey-Era Ties With ADL –

 RedState

"The fact is, referring to TPUSA as an "extremist and hate" group is nothing short of ridiculous; the FBI shouldn't be listening to such people."

"FBI Director Kash Patel has been making some pretty serious changes at the embattled FBI. DEI is out, real police work is in, and the FBI is no longer to be making common cause with people who don't like America very much. Case in point: The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which once listed Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA in its "Glossary of Extremism and Hate."

"Former FBI Director James Comey embarrassed himself slobbering all over the ADL. Now, according to a Fox News exclusive, Director Patel is showing them the door - and booting them through it.

FBI Director Kash Patel is cutting ties with the Anti-Defamation League that the bureau forged under its former boss James Comey.

"James Comey disgraced the FBI by writing ‘love letters’ to the ADL and embedding agents with an extreme group functioning like a terrorist organization and the disgraceful operation they ran spying on Americans. That was not law enforcement, it was activism dressed up as counterterrorism, and it put Americans in danger," Patel told Fox News Digital.

"That era is finished. This FBI formally rejects Comey’s policies and any partnership with the ADL," he added.

"It's certainly not an overreaction to note that Comey slobbered all over the ADL, either.

On May 8, 2017, Comey addressed the Anti-Defamation League National Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. and declared his and the FBI's "love" for the organization. He began by referencing a 2014 speech which he called a "love letter to the ADL," adding, "Three years later I can say, from the perspective of the FBI, we’re still in love with you."

"We are not only educating ourselves, we are working with the ADL to build bridges in the communities we serve," Comey said in his 2017 speech.

"For more than 100 years, you have advocated for fairness and equality... And for all of that, we are grateful. As a law enforcement and national security agency, yes. But also as Americans. As humans," Comey said.

He concluded his speech with the words, "Love, the FBI." . . .  More...

Remember Obama's Vindictive shutdown?

 Remember Obama's Vindictive shutdown?

"While there may be parks where a shutdown poses a genuine threat to visitor safety and security, the administration has carried the shutdown to vindictive lengths, inviting these instances of peaceful civil disobedience around the country. "

"As the sun came up over Washington on Monday, National Park Service workers were busy replacing barricades around the National World War II Memorial.

The previous ones, erected ostensibly because of the government shutdown, had been removed by peaceful protesters over the weekend.

Using the supposedly scant resources of the federal government to re-erect barriers around an open-air memorial on public land in this way trumped even the original placement of the barriers in ridiculousness. It also came a day after police in riot gear were dispatched to guard against the protesters — many of them elderly or disabled veterans — who traveled to the nation’s capital to express their displeasure at what they saw as a politically motivated abuse of power by their government.

Welcome to the government shutdown, Obama-administration style. The government has shut down 17 times since the modern budgeting process took effect in 1976, according to The Washington Post. But this time is different, under a president who puts politics before all else. There simply is no reason to close many parks and memorials that never are under lock and key to begin with, especially since it requires more manpower to “close” them than to keep them open.

Both political parties share blame in the current budget impasse, which began Oct. 1. But after announcing weeks in advance that he would flatly refuse to negotiate, President Barack Obama has proceeded to use American citizens, from schoolchildren to elderly veterans, as pawns in his battle with Congress.

This playbook is familiar. After an earlier failure of leadership that led to the sequester cuts, Obama halted White House tours and cut back the number of air-traffic controllers at major airports. The administration’s efforts proved too ham-handed even for his hometown paper, the Chicago Tribune, which slammed “the stunt pilots in the Obama administration” for making a “terrible miscalculation” in encouraging the Federal Aviation Administration’s “phony crisis.” It was easily resolved through Congress authorizing the FAA to shift around money — something the president could have championed himself, had he wanted to.

A number of outrageous stories have emerged from the parks shutdown. At Yellowstone National Park, a tour group composed largely of senior citizens from around the world was kept in lockdown in a park hotel under armed guard after the shutdown went into effect. They were told they could not take photographs of wildlife outdoors. When they were allowed to leave, their bus was not permitted to stop during the 21/2-hour trip out; they were even prohibited from stopping at private bathroom facilities." . . . More...
