The Press Is Lying About D.C. Crime

The Press Is Lying About D.C. Crime – Issues & Insights   . . . "But who is doing the lying here?

"Crime in D.C. “is getting worse, not getting better,” Trump said. Nonsense, came the chorus of press reports, with headlines such as:

  • “Fact check: Violent crime in DC has fallen in 2024 and 2025 after a 2023 spike” said CNN.
  • “Trump Takes Control of D.C. Police, Citing ‘Bloodthirsty Criminals.’ But Crime Is Down.” said the New York Times.
  • “FACT FOCUS: Trump exaggerates, misstates facts on Washington crime” said AP.

"The implicit message is that Trump is making up a crime problem to flex his authoritarian muscles.

:These and countless other stories all cite the same set of police department statistics showing the rate of violent crime in D.C. on the downtrend.

"So, case closed, right?

"Not so fast. Just a few weeks ago, the local NBC affiliate reported that:

A D.C. police commander is under investigation for allegedly making changes to crime statistics in his district. Full Article..

Poll of Residents Stomps All Over Democrat Narrative About D.C. Crime
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said that. Democrats are now placing themselves in the crazy position of not wanting to do something to help alleviate crime because they hate President Donald Trump.

It's a losing issue. And it's taking positions like this that may explain why their approval is in the basement.

We've outlined a variety of things that have blown up that narrative — from the D.C Police Union saying, yes, there's a real problem, to even MSNBC's Joe Scarborough admitting he knew of Democrats and media who were privately cheering Trump's action.

Here's the Left's Plan to Stop Trump's Move Against D.C. Crime - and It's As Lame As You Would Think   . . . "The Democrats should be welcoming the aid, but instead, because of their Trump Derangement Syndrome, they have to come out against it, even if that makes no sense. As is always the case with the left, what do they do next? They're throwing down the protest card. They're protesting an effort to make things safer. What are they going to do to make things better? Bang pots and pans." . . .

Washington, DC has itself to blame for Trump's police takeover  . . . "The municipal government of Washington has never been worthy of the seat of government of the greatest and most powerful nation that has ever existed. It’s consistently been an embarrassment and, for decades now, has tolerated — and, worse, created the conditions for — disorderly and dangerous streets.

"The late historian Fred Siegel wrote how “social license and economic restrictions,” what he called “the two halves of sixties liberalism,” drained cities like Washington, DC, of their vitality.

"Over-regulated and inefficient, they were saddled by a “state-supported economy of social workers.”

"On top of this, in the 1970s, DC experienced “black nationalism in power,” especially in the person of the catastrophic, long-time mayoralty of Marion Barry." . . .

Mother backs Trump's DC safety mission after son killed in city.

"When I heard the news today, and he mentioned my son, not by name, and mentioned the others who have been victims of violent crime, I was so happy and I said, I looked at Eric's ashes, and I said ‘Eric, you haven't died in vain.’ Things will change so other people are safe when they go visit DC or work in DC and that's my goal, to make people safe," she told "The Story" on Monday.

Tamara says she heard there were surveillance cameras from the scene, but they are all grainy and told Fox News that even cabbies were afraid when she was in DC to identify her son’s body, saying the area was dangerous at night."

How do you solve a problem like Mr. Schiff?

Shifty Schiff’s leaks exposed   "A newly declassified 2023 FBI FD-302 interview report from FBI director Kesh Patel reveals notes from a staffer who blew the whistle on Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.)’s alleged involvement in classified leaks during his tenure as ranking member of House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

"The whistleblower reported that during a 2017 meeting, Schiff instructed staff to leak classified information to the press to discredit President Trump and lay the groundwork for indictments." . . .

Newly declassified FBI reports allege that Schiff and Swalwell knowingly leaked classified information - Andrea Widburg

. . . "Nevertheless, Schiff and Swalwell are unlikely to face prison for their alleged wrongdoing. That’s because the limitations period for what they allegedly did is five years from the date of discovery. Someone in the DOJ, who must surely have known that leaking classified information to the media does not have constitutional protection, wanted to ensure that these men and their staffers remained free.

"However, if an investigation proves the allegations, the one thing Republicans can do is vote to expel both men from their respective Chambers. Leaking classified information to the media deserves some punishment, even if it’s not prison." . . .

Meet the Leakers! Russiagate Was More Incestuous Than You Could Believe – PJ Media

. . . "At the center of the Obama White House’s fabricated Russia collusion narrative is Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) — currently under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland for mortgage fraud.

"The first name is Ellen Nakashima, whom RealClearInvestigations senior reporter Paul Sperry dryly calls "the Washington Post's handmaiden for the deep state." Her most recent appearance, Sperry reported on Tuesday, isn't under her WaPo byline, but in "FBI 302s as the likely key recipient of classified intelligence leaks from Adam Schiff regarding Russiagate."

"Sperry previously reported in July that "Declassified docs show Obama's spooks used Washington Post stenographer Ellen Nakashima to plant 3 major Russiagate stories," so the idea that Nakashima was also on Schiff's speed dial is hardly outrageous." . . .

JUSTICE INCOMING? U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro Hints At Serious Charges for Adam Schiff

Notice a pattern here? Schiff (Congress) leaking to the media. Comey (FBI) leaking to the media… all coordinated.

Solomon also notes that tomorrow he will be releasing documents that show how often the FBI was blocked from “trying to investigate the Hillary Clinton corruption at the Clinton Foundation.”

Getting Jimmy Kimmel to Self-Deport Might Be Trump’s Greatest Victory

 Nolte: Breitbart

"Imagine what a cowardly, thin-skinned, spoiled, entitled, and whiny baby someone must be to actually consider fleeing your own country because some elections didn’t go your way."

"Can you imagine what a victory it would be for all Americans if, merely through his successful leadership, President Trump were able to get the basement-rated Jimmy Kimmel to self-deport?

"We already have a partial victory based solely on the fact that the Late Night elitist is putting the pieces in place to make it happen.

"Former comedian Jimmy Kimmel was a guest on former comedienne Sarah Silverman’s podcast on Friday, and the two of them discussed fleeing the country due to Trump.

“ 'A lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship?” Silverman said.

"Kimmel then broke this glorious news: “I did get Italian citizenship.”

"Then he explained why. “I do have that. And what’s going on is—as bad as you thought it was going to be—it’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable,” Kimmel said.

"Yeah. What could be worse than a steady economy, peace breaking out all over the world, and evicting child rapists, drug dealers, and murderers?

"Oh, I know what could be worse: Kimmel’s ratings.

"Yes, we now get to picture Kimmel sharing a villa with Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres (who have already self-deported), as they play the victim, stress-eat, and watch bootlegged copies of The View for their daily affirmation." . . .

Beto O'Rourke Is The Political Wart That Won't Go Away

The Federalist  The sugar daddy of temper-tantrum-throwing Texas Democrats appears to be ramping up for another losing political campaign.

"Why? Because Beto believes “that’s the highest and best use of what I can offer this state.” Yes, the gasbag really did utter that sentence."

"Someone my family knows well — let’s just call her an old family friend to protect the subject of this, uh, sensitive story — for years battled a nasty plantar wart on the ball of her foot. Our friend and her doctors tried just about everything shy of amputation. Salicylic acid treatments. Prescription medicines. Cryotherapy. Immunotherapy. Minor surgeries (electrodesiccation and curettage). She couldn’t get rid of it. That freeloading wart just wouldn’t take the hint.

"The unpleasant growth hung around so long she gave it a name: Stuey.

"She should have called it Beto. As in Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, the former congressman, three-time high-stakes political loser, and leftist hanger-on. He is the wart, the Stuey if you will, of American leftist politics. The multimillionaire — made so with a huge assist from his very wealthy daddy-in-law — has been rejected by Texas and national Democrats in races for U.S. Senate and governor and in his ill-fated bid for the White House.

"Like a pesky plantar wart, Robbie has no intention of going away mad because he has no intention of going away. He’s an unrequited lover in need of a restraining order. A Texas judge recently slapped him with one.

Powering ‘Deceptive Acts’

"Seeking a return to political relevance, O’Rourke resurfaced earlier this year alongside failed vice presidential candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, at a liberal rally/political stunt near Houston. You talk about looking for love in all the wrong places — or at least with all the wrong people. It’s part of O’Rourke’s strategy to force Texans to have to think about the has-been again." . . .  More...

Argus Hamilton remarked: Texas Democrat Beto O'Rourke blasted Texas Republicans for their attempt to gerrymander 5 new GOP districts. In 6 years in Texas he's lost for senator, for president and for governor. In 2020 when Beto O'Rourke ran for president in the Democratic primaries, he polled .05%, tied with O’Doul’s .

Beto O'Rourke makes a fool of himself at rally for Texas's runaway lawmakers - Monica Showalter   . . . "Memo to Beto: When your opposition is using what you say at rallies to support their own cause instead of your friends, you know you've accomplished the opposite of what you thought you were accomplishing.

Just look at the idiocy of what he said: He called Republicans 'fascists' like the rest of them, and then vowed to break the rules, using his customary profanity. That pretty well negates the runaway Democrat lawmaker argument about 'saving democracy' and Republicans being a 'threat to democracy,' given that Beto let the cat out of the bag about Democrats now wanting power without rules. Beto just dislikes living by rules when Republicans turn the rules that Democrats made to their disadvantage.

"Meanwhile, Beto's call to legalize all DACA illegals and their parents will be about as popular in Texas as his last bright idea of gun control.

"And did he really want to 'go there' with that crime metaphor about 'drive that car like it's stolen,' given his arrests for burglary and drunk driving? Somehow Beto is comfortable with thinking of his metaphors in crime terms." . . .

Trump moves Obama, Bush portraits to hidden stairwell in White House

Trump moves Obama, Bush portraits to hidden stairwell in White House

How to explain this?

"That is because it was recently moved from the entryway to a far less visible location at the top of a restricted staircase.

"The area is rarely seen by the public.

"Portraits of former Presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush have also been moved to the same area.

"The relocation of the portraits breaks the tradition that gives recent presidents prominent placement.

"According to sources, President Donald Trump personally directs nearly all White House decor decisions."

"Trump Calls on Jasmine Crockett to Take a Cognitive Exam: She's 'Only Slightly Dumber' Than AOCI think Mr. Trump may have wanted Crockett's actions to speak for themselves. TD

Watch: Michael Cohen Says It's Over for Schiff and James:

Michael Cohen Says It's Over for Schiff and James: If the Feds Got Me on This Stuff, There's No Hope for Schiff and James

Cohen basically reminded James’ and Schiff’s supporters of the Golden Rule of politics: Do unto others as they do unto you. Which means if you want to engage in lawfare, and you’re not squeaky clean, and your people don’t win the election, don’t expect to be protected.

"Michael Cohen, it’s fair to say, knows a little bit about what happens when you make false statements on home mortgage documents and you’re a political target: You’re finished.

"The former personal attorney for President Donald Trump, who was sentenced to 36 months behind bars in 2018 for various tax evasion and campaign finance violations, also ended up getting convicted for knowingly signing documents regarding a home equity line of credit that he knew to be false to get favorable treatment from banks.

"Funnily enough, two of the Democrats who have spent much of Trump’s time in the political spotlight engaging in lawfare against him also have some, ahem, problematic real estate dealings — and, speaking on MSNBC over the weekend, Cohen predicted the feds would be going after them, too.

"Cohen was making an appearance on a show called “The Weekend” (wonder how long it took them to workshop that name), where the ostensible topic was supposed to be Jeffrey Epstein. (Cohen’s magical insight on this: “Somebody will get thrown under the bus.” MSNBC pays this guy. Just saying.)

"However, he did have insight into the similar plights of New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has engaged in much of the Empire State-based lawfare against Trump, and California Sen. Adam Schiff, who was one of the chief elected peddlers of the Russiagate hoax."

.“Mark my words: Politically, they’re both doomed,” he said. “I’m telling you right off the bat, this is a political suicide for both Tish James and Adam Schiff.” . .

What Fox News 'cougar' Harris Faulkner really thinks of The View hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin after her upset ratings win

What Fox News 'cougar' Harris Faulkner really thinks of The View hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin after her upset ratings win | Daily Mail Online

"Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner has called out her morning TV show competitor The View in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, likening the left-leaning show to a recent Massachusetts council meeting mobbed by yelling transgender activists.

"Faulkner, 59, threw some serious shade on the ABC hosts for resorting to 'vitriol' and having a 'myopic' worldview and a 'dicey' approach to facts.

" 'On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics,' she said.

"She let loose on The View stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, after her 11am Fox News show, The Faulkner Focus, beat them for the first time in a shock ratings upset.

"Faulkner The Focus received 2,552,000 viewers in January, edging ahead of The View's 2,508,000 – a significant de-throning of the long-running ABC show by Faulkner's, which has a smaller potential audience on cable.

"In the wide-ranging interview with DailyMail.com, Faulkner, 59, does not hold back - revealing why her opposition to transgender competitors in women's sports is personal and describes her bi-racial marriage to her Jewish husband, 57, jokingly calling herself a cougar.

"She described how her Baptist-Christian faith was a central part of her life, and lauded the Trump administration's racing start with DOGE shaking up Washington DC.

"But the Fox News anchor's saltiest comments were reserved for the women with whom she competes in the 11am hour on TV: the hosts of ABC's The View.
