Why does the political establishment hate Trump?

" . . .The Democrat vision of how the country should operate and of America’s place in the world lies in tatters, a catastrophic failure.  But President Trump’s vision is not yet in place, which is why the struggle is so intense.  Trump is shaping a new political, economic, and cultural order, which is why the Democrat establishment must oppose him at every turn."

"The short answer to that question comes from George Orwell: “Who controls the past controls the future.  Who controls the present controls the past.”  Packed into that pithy aphorism is the explanation of the bitter struggle centering on the person of President Donald J. Trump.

"The dirty little secret of American history is that a largely left-leaning establishment has dominated our politics since 1932 and thereby framed our understanding of the past and goals for the future.  Only two Republican presidents have held temporary majorities in both houses of Congress since then: Dwight D. Eisenhower and George W. Bush.  Neither made a dent in the establishment’s control.  Indeed, during the past thirty-eight years, since the political establishment kicked President Reagan upstairs and out of power in the Iran contra scandal, the political establishment has taken the country farther to the left than ever before, centered on the policies of détente with Moscow, Beijing, and Iran.  In the process of attempting to create a new world order, the Democrat establishment left behind and totally alienated the American people.

"The beneficiary of this widespread alienation was President Donald J. Trump and Republicans, who in 2016 swept to power across the country with strong majorities in both houses of Congress and a mandate from the people to reverse course.  Trump led the way, attacking the Democrat establishment’s narrative of the past and setting forth a new vision of the future.  “Make America Great Again” is more than a campaign slogan; it is a repudiation of the past failure of the political establishment.

"It did not last.

"Trump lost control of the House in 2018 and fell victim to a Democrat counter-revolution in 2020.  In less than four years, demonstrating a level of incompetence unknown in modern history, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sank the nation into a quagmire of debt, opened the borders to an invasion of illegal aliens, condoned the virtual collapse of social order, and generated the highest inflation since Jimmy Carter." . . .

"Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is being slammed as a traitor following damning claims he instructed administrators at Columbia University to dismiss any criticism of the school’s handling of blatant violence and antisemitism on campus in the wake of Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel.

"The GOP-lead House Education and Workforce Committee, in a 325-page report, contended the New York Democrat advised then-university president Minouche Shafik that the school would be spared any scrutiny by Democrats, explaining that the elite university’s “political problems are really only among Republicans.”

"His staff then encouraged Columbia administrators that the “best strategy is to keep heads down,” according to the report.

“ 'The self-proclaimed protector of the Jewish people. Chuckey Schumer is nothing but a kapo traitor. He should be ashamed of himself,” said former Brooklyn state Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat-turned-Republican who heads the group Americans Against Antisemitism." . . .

One more conspicuous reason to not only elect Donald Trump, but to ensure we have a Republican Congress by a strong majority. TD

They are attacking women, blacks, Hispanics, and gays who don't embrace the Democrat agenda and vote enthusiastically for a vapid and incompetent mixed-race woman just because she has the "right" identity. 

"I don't know whether this campaign pitch will move any votes to the Harris/Walz ticket, but it's pretty clear that a lot of women, blacks, Hispanics, and gays don't appreciate being lectured to by a bunch of freaks who prioritize killing babies, sterilizing children, opening the borders, and destroying the middle-class. 

"Mark Cuban's comments calling Trump's female supporters weak and stupid didn't sit well with a lot of people outside the Blue bubble, where this sentiment is universally held. Mark Cuban's comments would never have landed well, but he would likely have been extended some grace but for the fact that everybody already knows that the Democrats have contempt for anybody not in their club. 

"Cuban's comments were, let's be fair, intended as a slam on Trump, implying that he was not man enough to be around strong women. On its face this is clearly absurd; Trump's key advisors were as often as not women, and early in his administration, there was even a fair amount of reporting on this fact. Kellyanne Conway was one of the most influential people in America and widely credited for getting Trump across the finish line in 2016, and Trump relies on women in key positions more than most--without bowing to identity politics.

"Despite having previously worked for both Bill Clinton and Al Gore, Wolf says she is endorsing Donald Trump this time out.

“President Trump did something very smart,” Wolf said, highlighting how he had aligned himself with people such as former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (R-HI), and Elon Musk. “He’s being more inclusive.”

“He’s speaking out to the concerns of black people, white people, Puerto Rican people, Hispanic people of all kinds, women, men, it doesn’t matter,” Wolf added. “You guys have become the unity party, and he’s leading the unity party, and I would be an idiot if I didn’t recognize that.”

Apparently she listens to Trump and not Mika Brzezinski and her MSNBC crowd. TD

It’s no surprise that the Institute of Energy Research has compiled 250 ways Harris-Biden and its allies, beginning on Jan. 20, 2021, have pursued an outright war on the oil and gas industries that has included numerous restrictions and outright bans on new production.

"ZERO. It was one of six numbers listed by your correspondent last week that made up the case against Kamala Harris. It stood for Net Zero, a Harris-Biden administration commitment of which her Veepness took personal ownership, to wit:

“ 'You know, when President Biden and I took office, we set an ambitious goal.  Yes, people said, ‘That can’t be done.’ We said, ‘Well, you know what? We believe in dreaming with ambition and then seeing it through.’ And so, we set an ambitious goal … to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.”

"And now, with the full foot-in-mouth placement by Kamala’s Camila, a tone-deaf aide (and despite her frantic, fruitless effort to backtrack), ZERO stands for the coup-candidate’s remaining credibility on her claim that she won’t ban fracking.

"To understand why begins with a swing back to the nature of Harris’ climate commitment.

"Achieving her “ambitious goal” has involved the Harris-Biden administration’s pursuit since week one of a “whole-of-government approach to combatting the climate crisis” aimed primarily at obliterating oil and gas, including: 

• Commitment to “a carbon pollution-free energy sector by 2035 and net-zero emissions from the transportation sector by 2050”
• A similar “whole-of-government” approach to mitigating “climate-related financial risk” – aimed at drying up investment in the sector
• “(R)edirecting resources toward economy-wide decarbonization” as part of achieving “net-zero global emissions by mid-century” – essentially, an end not only to fracking but to all production, transportation and use of oil and gas worldwide (except for the Chinese).

"In addition, the Veep has boasted of her tie-breaking vote on the $1-trillion-plus Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). That spending orgy larded an estimated $18.5 billion in taxes on oil and gas to be diverted into renewable energy boondoggles to achieve “metrics” that, per the Veep, “include holding ourselves to deadlines around time.” (Is there any other kind of deadline?) 

"What “metrics” and “deadlines” might those be? Per an Energy Department fact sheet, the IRA is about “putting the United States on a pathway to achieving the Biden-Harris administration’s climate goals, including a net-zero economy by 2050.” (Emphasis added.)

"Let’s take a gander at that there “pathway,” contained in a document appropriately entitled “Long-Term Strategy of the United States: Pathways to Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050” — America’s so-called “Nationally Determined Contribution” mandated under the Paris climate accords. " . . .
