Kathy Hochul sort of says: 'Oops'

 Mike McDaniel - American Thinker

"Blakeman is promising to cut taxes and make New York affordable. He’s not insulting the rich and telling them to leave. Those are, by New York standards, crazy ideas, but they’re so crazy they just might work."

Cartoons That Bite

"The Democrat Party is infamous for its economic illiteracy fueled by its compulsion to ignore and/or denigrate anyone who understands basic economics, like Margaret Thatcher who said the trouble with socialism is you always run out of other people’s money. This collective brain tumor causes Democrats like Hochul to say and do things guaranteed to cause financial disaster. Things like this:

The comments are a far cry from Hochul’s much-derided remarks from her 2022 election campaign where she ripped her GOP opponent, Rep. Lee Zeldin, as well as then-Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and President Trump, telling them and other New York Republicans to scram.

“Trump and Zeldin and Molinaro – just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong. OK? Get out of town. Because you don’t represent our values,” Hochul said at the time.

Well. Wealthy New Yorkers, people who run businesses employing thousands, all of whom contribute to the tax base of a state facing a $27.5 billion dollar budget deficit, which will surely be exacerbated by New York City Mayor Zhoran Mamdani’s full communist economic illiteracy—never go full communist--took Hochul’s arrogant advice.  Mamdani is chasing out NYC’s billionaires, millionaires and folks who can’t afford the Big, rotten Apple anymore, and wants Hochul to bail him out." . . .  More...

Today’s news about Iran’s attack on Diego Garcia proves Trump was right

"Unless every European leader is stupid beyond stupid, Europe just had a “come to Jesus” moment."

 Andrea Widburg - American Thinker

"Like Carthage before it, Iran delenda est (that is, Iran must be destroyed). The world will be much safer and happier when a non-Muslim Persia arises from Irans ashes."

"Yesterday, Iran fired two ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint US-UK base. Both missed, but one got near the target. The attack is significant because it proves that Trump was absolutely right that this war needed to be fought, and fought sooner, rather than later.

Diego Garcia has been in the news of late, so it made a nice, symbolic target to prove Trump’s point.

The base is located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 2,500 miles due south of Mumbai. The islands are “only” 1,250 miles northeast of Mauritius, a dot in the Indian Ocean, due east of Madagascar. For very complicated reasons, Mauritius has laid claim to those islands, which have long been under British control.

In May 2025, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government announced that it would transfer the Chagos Islands back to Mauritius. Trump strongly objected, saying that the islands, which house Diego Garcia, still have strategic value. Obviously, he was already thinking ahead to its value vis-à-vis Iran, and his objections were so powerful that, this February, Britain delayed the transfer.

However, although it delayed transferring the islands to Mauritius, the British government didn’t want the U.S. to use the base in the war against Iran. It eventually announced that the U.S. could only use the base “defensively.”

Defensiveness arrived yesterday:" . . .

"In other words, Iran just proved that it can attack every country within a 4,000 km radius of it. Imagine if those missiles weren’t armed with conventional warheads but were, instead, nuclear-tipped? Given Iran’s apocalyptic jihadism, it would control almost half the planet."

It Is Time To publicly Heal An American Patriot Whose Name Was Dragged Through The Mud: LTG Michael T. Flynn (US Army, Retired)

  American Free News Network

"Which is how it came to be that Trump had to Pardon an innocent man. Trump still needs to find a way to recognize Mike and make him whole: it is not too late."

. . . "I wrote a series of articles about Mike Flynn when he released his documentary about his railroading by the Obama Administration that continued long after President Trump took office.

"I did so because having met with and worked with my fellow Rhode Islander, I knew a little bit about what he had done in his military career and I found it disgusting and ridiculous that he was being singled out to be punished for the obvious offense of zealously supporting Donald J. Trump and getting caught up in the vitriol that many in that orbit drew from all quarters of the LSMBTGA.

"Mike was never made whole again after the criminal proceedings that about bankrupted him, forcing him to sell his home. The treatment of Flynn is a cautionary tale about the Trump orbit where many of those who stepped up to help have been manhandled, lawfared and broken financially by the deep state swamp: democrats-demonrats-all.

"People like Mike should be made whole somehow. If it happened to Trump he would sue the pants off of the FBI and DOJ and Obama: Trump can afford it.

"Whereas Mike-even after the charges were dropped because of the malfeasance of his lawyers-Covington and Burling (Michael Chertoff)-best that money can buy-and the DOJ prosecution team, as well as the FBI, had to be pardoned by Trump when Judge Emmit Sullivan refused to drop the case and actually appointed a lawyer to represent the court to continue the trial after the charges were dropped by DOJ.

"Putting Mike in the nebulous position of continuing to pay for the lawyers and rolling the dice-being an innocent man who was in the precarious position where if he continued to fight in court against Sullivan-who had the bagels to refer to Mike at one point in the proceedings as a traitor-lucky that Flynn did not kick his cowardly, big mouthed arse-and Sullivan ran out the clock with continuations that lapsed into a new administration-and it turned out to be Biden-then new DOJ Merrick Garland could reopen the case and continue to bankrupt Flynn through legal and court fees to an unknown end.

"There was no there, there to the Flynn railroading. The FBI didn’t finalize the official 302 of his interviews until weeks after it was conducted: it was finalized by lawyer Lisa Page-who was not part of the interview. The FBI had the transcript of his discussions with Kislyak all along: the future National Security Advisor conducting business with a key US concern. The word sanctions was never mentioned in the discussion.

"VP Mike Pence seemed only too anxious to turn on Flynn when he was being played by Sally Yates with seeming disregard for the facts: the dinosaur/Logan Act, really? GTFO here.

"And-of course-we now know that the declaration of persona non grata status to kick the Russian diplomats out of the US for election interference was made up, President Obama donkey dung nonsense: the plan hatched 9 December 2016 to cover the arse of Team Obama-who as of that date-lacked a predicate for such an action that had to be created by the slap dash Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian interference choreographed by Brennan later that month.

"Flynn was never an agent of a foreign government due to his status as a subcontractor to a firm that was registered. The work was in support of NATO ally Turkey. Regardless, his very expensive lawyers convinced him to file FARA paperwork, anyway-just to cover his butt-and that-like everything else-was leaked to the LSMBTGA as if it was an admission of guilt.

"His lawyers failed to advise him that the DOJ had offered a plea deal. What he eventually pled to was a drug deal, stop beating your wife ruse in an attempt to prevent the Feds from going after his son." . . .  More...
