The Testosterone Ticket

Don Surber (substack.com)

"Biden’s departure from the election gives Democrats a choice between making Kamala look presidential or giving up completely as they try to salvage the Senate and House races. In 1972, they chose the latter and did pretty well. Sure, Nixon carried 49 states, but they kept Congress — and the deep state disposed of Nixon two years later.

"But Democrats no longer are known as the intelligent party. Power has corrupted their brains. So who knows what they will do — fish with Kamala or cut bait and work on expanding their Senate majority?

"Republicans have finally figured out that voters are not impressed by their white bread politeness. If Americans wanted a ceaseless stream of apologies, we would move to Canada. "The RNC convention in Milwaukee was unapologetically American.

"Jake Tapper: “What theme are we seeing at the convention tonight?”

"Chris Wallace: “Is that a trick question? Testosterone.”

Vanc

"Agreed. After 4 years of this slop brought in by an impotent old president shouting at clouds and his witless vice president talking like a kindergartener explaining the world to a 3-year-old, the American people need men running the White House again.

"The pushback against the Secret Service for allowing the assassin to get two shots at President Trump is that their crew included Melissa McCarthy who was too short to protect him, too tubby to keep up and too untrained to re-holster her gun even after they got to the hospital.

"I am not against women as Secret Service agents. She put her life on the line to protect him but she should have had a different duty that day — like climbing the roof.

"Trump learned. Miranda Devine tweeted as Trump boarded Trump Force One on Saturday, “All-male security crew, big boy steps, sure-footed climb, no stumbles.”

"Let’s cut to the chase. Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal said in an editorial on Friday that President Trump projects strength.

"That is what we need. As Tucker Carlson said of Trump rising from the stage after being shot: “A leader’s courage gives courage to his people." ” . . .

Here Are Three Red Flags Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle Dropped During Her Grilling by Congress

  Matt Vespa (townhall.com)

"Rep. Raskin asks why Donald Trump was able to go on stage if would-be assassin was identified in advance as "suspicious." She distinguishes between a "suspicious" person and a "threat." Says detail would not have brought Donald Trump out to stage if would-be assassin had been ID'd as a threat." Benjamin Weingarten

"I’ll make this quick because Spencer already covered most of this trainwreck hearing by Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who surprisingly showed up for what she could only imagine would be a charbroiling before House Oversight. As of writing this post, Congress is still shredding Ms. Cheatle on both sides of the aisle, perhaps for different reasons—Democrats reiterated their gun control antics—but even they were getting frustrated with her refusal to answer simple questions about the security failures that were revealed in the aftermath of the failed assassination attempt against Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

"This hearing is an absolute catastrophe for the Secret Service, who limped into this room with damaged credibility, and Ms. Cheatle opted to make it worse by stonewalling. The woman is offering zero answers to basic questions whose answers we already know—it’s been reported in the media. The answer for why the rooftop remained unprotected and unguarded remains lost in the Bermuda Triangle, but three things were disturbing regarding this hearing: Cheatle wouldn’t definitively say that the would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was the lone gunman. She wouldn’t disclose how many spent shell casings were found on the roof. And Ms. Cheatle said no one at the agency had been disciplined for this staggering security failure:" . . .

Secret Service Director Cheatle Is Getting Destroyed During Oversight Hearing – PJ Media  . . ."The Secret Service has a zero-fail mission, but it failed on July 13 and in the days leading up to the rally," Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in his opening statement. "The Secret Service has thousands of employees and a significant budget, but it has now become the face of incompetence."

"Cheatle is still refusing to resign despite admitting in her opening remarks that the Secret Service failed to protect Donald Trump." . . .

. . ."Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) brutally called her out for her failure to provide answers to basic questions about what happened and why.

"You didn't get briefed on how many times you turned down the Trump detail when they asked for additional help?" he asked. "You didn't get briefed on that before you came to this hearing knowing you were going to be asked that question!?" . . .

‘It’s Lunacy’: Donald Trump Jr Rips Joy Reid For Comparing Trump’s Assassination Attempt To Biden Getting COVID

 IJR

During a segment on Wednesday evening, Reid questioned to a panel if Biden surviving his COVID-19 after testing positive would be comparable to Trump surviving his assassination attempt.

"Donald Trump Jr. ripped Joy Reid Thursday for comparing President Joe Biden’s fight against COVID to former President Donald Trump surviving an assassination attempt.

"Trump Jr. appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” to discuss his reactions to the Democrat Party’s pushback while attending the final day of the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During his interview discussing the failed assassination attempt against his father on Saturday in Pennsylvania, Fox host Laura Ingraham called out the left being “unhinged” over Trump’s defiance to being shot at.

"Ingraham highlighted to Trump Jr. how some, like CNN’s Medical Analyst Jonathan Reiner, have recently demanded answers to Trump’s health.

“ 'Joe Biden has been a vegetable for about 3 and a half years, and no one has ever questioned anything. Trump gets shot in the face, stand up, defiant — is here for the last few days talking to people. That’s how insane they are, Laura,” Trump Jr. said.

“ 'I saw, I think it was Joy Reid or one of these people saying, ‘Well you know, Joe Biden, he just got COVID. If he survives Covid, that’s basically the same as getting shot in the face. Like, I swear I feel like I’m being punk’d. I’m the star ‘The Truman Show,’” Trump Jr. continued. “Okay, Laura blink three times if everyone is in on it. Because like they can’t be serious. I had others say, ‘Well, you know, he was only shot in the ear.’ I’m like what are you talking [about]? You want him – he needs to be shot more? It’s lunacy. It’s lunacy. It’s Trump derangement syndrome.” . . .

Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle is blasted for 'stupidity' and 'BS excuse'

Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle is blasted for 'stupidity' and 'BS excuse' that snipers were not on the roof used by gunman Thomas Crooks because it was 'too sloped' | Daily Mail Online   "The Secret Service's director Kimberly Cheatle has been slammed for her 'stupidity' and 'BS excuse' that snipers were not present on the roof used by would-be assassin Thomas Crooks because it was 'too sloped'.

"Speaking to ABC News on Tuesday, Cheatle claimed that agents were not positioned on top of the sloped building, deeming it too dangerous - despite images from the scene showing Secret Service snipers set up on a sloped roof behind where Trump was delivering his speech.

"Former Army Ranger Sean Powell was among those who registered his outrage with Cheatle's 'BS excuse' a rage filled tweet.

"'Holy s***. A sloped roof? That is a total BS excuse,' he wrote.

"'Our snipers used to set in on mountain tops in Afghanistan. On the down slopes if need be. The stupidity of this statement explains so much of why s*** hit the fan that day. Absolute incompetence,' he added.

"Following Cheatle's bizarre comments, a former US senator from South Carolina, Jim DeMint also weighed in saying: 'This sad excuse about defies believability.' " . . .

Insider reveals how Secret Service 'really screwed up' BEFORE Trump assassination bid and role women DEI hires played to put lives at risk | Daily Mail Online   . . ."He spoke of a roughly 5ft 5in female agent correctly 'using her body to protect' Trump from any further gunfire — but was just too short to be able to stop bullets hitting someone as tall as the former president.

" 'It looked more like that he was protecting her than she was protecting him,' said Gray.

"He also referred to widely-shared footage of a female agent as she struggled to holster her weapon after Trump had been bundled into a black vehicle.

" 'It certainly was something that raised my eyebrows,' said Gray, now an academic at the University of New Haven.

" 'I am a former firearms instructor … and that shows to me that person lacked the skills to be out there at that time.'

"The Secret Service team, which included male and female agents, also took far too long to get Trump off the stage and away from any potential second shooter, he said." . . .

"Cheatle then proceeded to the Congressional hearing where she refused to answer any important questions.

"This was a disgrace."

Kamala Harris Will Be Burdened By What Has Been –

I have to say this: how can other nations in this world respect America any longer? We have become a silly nation with our pronouns, this cross-dressing administration, our entire generation that destroys historical monuments, wears trendy scarfs to protest for those who invade and destroy peaceful villages, burn babies alive, and mutilate women's female parts; all the while chanting mindless slogans like obedient humanoids. TD

 Issues & Insights (issuesinsights.com)

"Fresh off denying Biden’s mental decline for four years, the media will immediately shift gears to portray Harris as a smart, savvy, warm, affectionate, strong, determined leader who would be a history-making president. God help the country if voters can’t see through this latest con job."

Toon added by TD

"On YouTube, there is a four-minute video that is nothing but Vice President Kamala Harris repeating this empty phrase: “What can be, unburdened by what has been.”

"But no matter how many times she utters this idiotic mantra, Harris will, in fact, be heavily burdened by the disaster that has been the Biden administration. Burdened by her own dismal record as vice president. And burdened by the fact that she is so uniquely unqualified to be leader of the free world." . . .  More here.

. . ."No matter how much Harris tries to distance herself from Joe Biden, she will carry the burden of answering for his failures. Among them: (Quoting)

The border crisis. One of the few jobs Biden gave her to do was to stem the flow of illegal immigrants. She blathered on about “root causes,” after which 10 million or so illegals crossed the border and her “leadership role” was quietly memory-holed.

"The economy. Harris will have to defend Biden’s economic record – inflation, falling real wages, widespread dissatisfaction.

Biden’s mental decline. She will have to explain what she knew and when about Biden’s obvious mental decline, what she did to cover it up, and whether she thinks he’s fit to finish out his term.

Foreign policy. There are wars raging in the Middle East and in Ukraine. Does Harris have any idea what is going on in the world? In our editorial, we said “Imagine her going up against Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping. As long as they could hold their laughter, they would be able to easily push her into making grave errors. “

Her own record as a “leader.” In her three-and-a-half years as vice president, she’s made it clear to anyone paying attention that she is a terrible, awful, no-good, very bad leader." . . .

The impassive Kimberly Cheatle is getting raked over the coals.

"Key questions:
(1) Why was Trump not removed from the stage immediately?
(2) You have said SS "secured" the AGR building from the inside, does that mean that there were sniper positioned on the inside? Were any of those weapons fired? Where are those weapons?
(3) Initially, you told the public "local law enforcement" fire guns. They deny it. Why did you originally claim a third weapon was fired? Do you still believe a third weapon was fired and have you identified that weapon? Who did it belong to?"

Monday: The ‘woke’ ways of President Biden and Kimberly Cheatle’s US Secret Service

RealityBites by Broc Smith

The 'woke' ways of Kimberly Cheatle's US Secret Service (nypost.com)

"Embattled Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has unabashedly embraced woke initiatives at the agency ever since she took over two years ago — including recruiting at Pride events, hosting seminars on pronoun use and even bringing in a popular YouTube female daredevil to attract a more diverse workforce.

"Cheatle, 53, unveiled her marching orders in the Secret Service’s 2023-2027 strategic plan, demanding agents to be “focused on achieving excellence through talent, technology and diversity,” documents reviewed by The Post show.

“ 'We must embrace diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) across the agency,” wrote Cheatle, a longtime friend of First Lady Jill Biden who was plucked in 2022 from her previous job as global security boss at PepsiCo by President Biden to be the second woman to lead the federal agency. “DEIA must be demonstrated by all employees — leading by example — through ‘every action every day.’”. . .

"Part of the diversity effort to attract women included letting YouTube influencer Michelle Khare — who’s best known for posting videos of herself training to become everything from an astronaut to a bomb squad officer — give the Secret Service academy a try.                "Khare’s “I Tried Secret Service Academy” 41-minute segment has scored more than 12 million views since posting in November 2022.

Getting to Ground Zero in the Assassination Attempt Investigation - Molly Slag

The bad news is that Rep. Comer plans to begin his inquiry into the debacle by examining the Secret Service’s director, Kimberly Cheatle. However, all knowledge about the debacle lies with the agents on the ground. She’s a desk jockey.

Trump Was Denied Additional Security Contrary To Secret Service Assertions, WaPo Reports (legalinsurrection.com)   "A new report from the Washington Post confirms that the Trump campaign asked the Secret Service for additional security and was denied. Alejandro Mayorkas denied this was true during a recent interview. He and Kim Cheatle of the Secret Service should resign immediately." . . .

"Here’s part of what Sean Davis wrote at The Federalist:

Nobody wants to hear this because of the implications, but oh well, because it needs to be said: Joe Biden’s security regime deliberately and with malice aforethought created the conditions that led to an attempted assassin shooting Donald Trump in the head. It is by the grace of God that he lived and our nation is not currently in the midst of a violent civil war.

They deliberately starved Trump’s security team of the resources it needed. And they did it repeatedly, over many weeks and months.

With Trump’s security detail understaffed, under-resourced, and stretched to its limits, Biden’s security regime reportedly diverted even more resources to a hastily planned Jill Biden event that just happened to be in the area.

Biden’s security regime then ordered the most obvious assassination perch in the entire area to remain outside the main security perimeter.

Secret Service chiefs REJECTED Trump's requests for more agents and snipers at his events for two years before assassination attempt - as their shocking reasons are revealed | Daily Mail Online   . . ."In fact, furious US senators took it upon themselves to confront Cheatle as she herself hid behind her own security agents.

"She was shielded by her officers after the senators pursued her down the corridors of the RNC and demanded she explain how a gunman was able to get a clear shot at Trump.

"Cheatle was in the Milwaukee convention hall to oversee security arrangements on Wednesday evening -  just hours after making a 'cover-your-a** call' to senators about the shooting in Pennsylvania on Saturday night." . . .

SCOTUS Girls Gone Wild: The Right to Crap in the Streets

Ann Coulter
. . ."But with just two more votes on the court, these deranged justices would turn every city in America into a dystopian nightmare where zombie drug addicts crap outdoors and get high all day." . . .

"On MSNBC, they're convinced that the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity will finally usher in the long-feared Trump Dictatorship, though I'm almost certain the Supreme Court explicitly limited the immunity to presidential acts authorized, or even required, by the Constitution.

"Staging a coup would not be covered. Neither would murdering political opponents.

"(One of the most alarmed guests was former CIA chief John Brennan. Wasn't he involved in a bit of unauthorized surveillance of American citizens, as well as lying to Congress about it?)

"MSNBC: What if Mohamed Atta were president? According to SCOTUS, EVERYTHING HE DID WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECTLY LEGAL!

"What if TED BUNDY had been elected president? But for a few votes in a few precincts, he could have been ... OH MY GOD!!!

"Where on Earth did Clarence Thomas get the idea that raping and bludgeoning coeds is part of a president's core functions? That's CRAZY!

"As liberals carry on about the conservative majority on the court, I direct your attention to the three liberals on the court, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson -- aka "Girls in Robes Gone Wild" -- and what a majority of them would mean for our country.

"In City of Grants Pass v. Johnson, the court was asked to decide whether the "homeless" (in the sense that "I am Hope Diamondless") have a constitutional right to camp anywhere they please. Thankfully, a majority of justices found no such right in the Constitution.

"But the dissenters concluded, Yes! Mentally ill drug addicts have total immunity from any local health and safety ordinances.

"To illustrate how bonkers this is, consider that both the crazily woke governor of California, Gavin Newsom, and the certifiably woke mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, pleaded with the Supreme Court to allow them to shut down homeless encampments. That has been impossible since 2019, when the 9th Circuit -- and the 9th Circuit alone -- ruled in Martin v. Boise that "the Eighth Amendment prohibits the imposition of criminal penalties for sitting, sleeping or lying outside on public property for homeless individuals." . . .

How nuts are the three liberal justices? They're well to the left of a California Democrat.

But these robed dingbats think they know better than governors, mayors, district attorneys and sheriffs -- you know, the people who actually have to deal with the homeless on a daily basis. (It seems relevant at this juncture to recall that Harvard Law professor Larry Tribe warned President Barack Obama that Sotomayor is "not nearly as smart as she seems to think she is.")    Full article here.

Kamala Harris proves again she’s not a better candidate than Biden

Douglas Murray (nypost.com)

"If the Democrats have any desire to win in November, Kamala cannot be anywhere near the top of the ticket. If the Republicans want to win, they should pray that is exactly where she is."  DM

"On Thursday night, from the convention in Milwaukee, former President Donald Trump held the attention of the world.

"Trump’s account of the attempt on his life one week ago was honest, poignant and unforgettable.

"His successful efforts at unifying his party and his promise to unify the country reverberated far beyond the Milwaukee convention center.

"Just a few hours earlier, another contender for the presidency was addressing another hall full of supporters.

"With Joe Biden absent due to COVID, and almost certainly about to be pushed out of the race by his own demoralized party, Kamala Harris is kicking things up a notch.

"On Thursday afternoon, she addressed supporters at Westover High School in North Carolina.

"Never mind the world watching — it’s not clear that all the people at Westover High school were watching.

"So how did she do?

"In a word: terribly.

"From the moment she bounded onto the stage, Harris reminded people of why this November’s election is Trump’s for the losing.

"First came the fake hysteria of finding herself on a stage in front of all these people: the almost-hyperventilating note Kamala hits when she wants to sound as if she is really excited about something.

"She started by saying how great it was to be “with so many incredible leaders” in Fayetteville.

"Her smile was so broad, you worried her face would run out of space." Full article...

Ex-Harris Staffer Says She Gives 'Soul-Destroying Criticism': Report - Business Insider  . . ."Some said Harris would refuse to analyze briefing materials set forth by employees but then scold them if she appeared unprepared.

" 'It's clear that you're not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work," one former staffer told the newspaper. "With Kamala ["she/her"] you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you're constantly sort of propping up a bully and it's not really clear why."

Kamala Harris is a very weird person (nypost.com)   . . ."Americans tend to tolerate presidents who have proven to be stupid or incompetent, but Harris is downright weird. After she lied to Lester Holt by saying, “We’ve been to the border” and he replied by noting this wasn’t true, she came back with “And I haven’t been to Europe!” Then she let out a giant, weird, inappropriate laugh and made the weird admission, “And I mean — I don’t understand the point that you’re making.”

"Politicians often don’t understand when they’re face-planting, but they usually don’t come right out and say, “I don’t understand,” because that tends to make things a little too easy for their opponents. Just like Nixon never came out and said, “I am a crook.”

"Any five-minute TV interview with Harris — heck, even her own self-promotional videos, such as the instantly notorious YouTube clip in which paid child actors visiting NASA gamely tried to not look creeped out by Weird Kamala — becomes another piece of evidence for her enemies to club her over the head with. It’s gotten so bad for Harris that even state media outlets such as CNN are regretfully informing the public that she just ain’t got what it takes." . . .
