Do You Know the Date of Christ’s Return? You’re Probably in a Cult.

Pulpit & Pen

“When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing does not happen or come true, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken…” – Deuteronomy 18:22

"Let’s be blunt: If you believe you know the exact date of Jesus’ return, or you’re following someone who claims they do, you’re not more spiritual than the rest of the Church.

"You’re probably in a cult.

"And I don’t mean that flippantly. I mean you’re caught in a high-control belief system built around private revelation, failed prophecies, and spiritual manipulation. It may feel like passionate faith, but it’s disconnected from Scripture, church history, and sound doctrine.

If your first response is, “Yeah, but this time it’s different…” That’s what every cult thinks, including the ones that are now barely footnotes in history.

Jesus Was Explicit: You Don’t Know the Day

"No riddles. No numeric codes. No feast-day theories. No   algorithms.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” – Matthew 24:36 (LSB)

"Jesus didn’t say, “No one knows yet.” He said, “No one knows.”

"He didn’t say, “You’ll be able to calculate it if you’re really watching.” He said even the angels don’t know.

"In Acts 1:6–7, the disciples ask the resurrected Christ if the kingdom will be restored at that time. Jesus replies:

“It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set by His own authority.”

"That should have settled it. But many people today, like cult leaders and date-setters of the past, are functionally saying, “Actually, it is for us to know.”

"That’s not discernment. That’s defiance.

"Everyone Who Has Tried… Has Been Wrong

"Let’s recap a few examples, and this isn’t even the full list:" . . .More....

Over 250 journalists demand reporters 'forcefully' protest Trump at White House Correspondents' Dinner

Will Don The Lemon be there as well?

NY Post

"Why would the President want to attend an event where he was not welcomed? These people don’t represent the majority of Americans, only their own self interests. It’s like watching Kimmel and Colbert on repeat, with the same ratings."

"Forget covering protests — some reporters think they should be the ones making the ruckus.

"A group of over 250 journalists implored members of the Beltway press corps to “forcefully demonstrate opposition” to President Trump at the ritzy White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

"Trump, 79, is set to attend the swanky dinner for the first time in his presidency. But the group of 250 reporters is demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) ensure he doesn’t feel welcome.

"We believe the White House Correspondents Association should take stronger action by issuing — from the podium — a forceful defense of freedom of the press and condemnation of those who threaten that freedom, followed by a standing toast to the First Amendment,” the letter to members of the WHCA said.

"“Speak forcefully, in front of the man who seeks to undermine our country’s long tradition of an independent, strong, and free press.”

"The WHCA, which represents the White House press corps, is organizing the annual dinner and has clashed with Trump repeatedly over the past year.

"Early last year, the White House press team began meddling in the pool rotation, in which outlets take turns getting special access to the president to share their notes and footage with everyone else.

"Historically, the WHCA has set the pool rotation. Notably, the White House has left the WHCA in charge of determining outlet seat locations in the press briefing room." . . . More...

"These so-called esteemed journalists also purposefully omitted the context to two successful Trump lawsuits against ABC News and CBS’s then-parent company Paramount Global."

The Lion Roars Again

"The president went on to affirm that “this is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their country.'”

March2, 2026; The American Spectator | USA News and Politics
"Israelis woke at 8:30 AM on Saturday to the sound of a nationwide siren. There was no imminent threat. It was the Home Front Command’s wake-up call to the nation that the Israeli military had carried out joint strikes with the United States earlier that morning against Iran, and to be on high alert for retaliation. (RELATED: Iran’s Fatal Miscalculation)
"Shabbat morning rituals were put aside momentarily in order to clean out the in-home bomb shelters of old furniture and storage items to make room for pillows, blankets, and cases of water. Public bomb shelters were unlocked and, as rehearsed last June, neighborhood residents claimed their corners and set up camp. (RELATED: America Visits Iran)
"Thirty hours later, by the close of Sunday evening, Israel’s “Operation Roaring Lion” had decimated Iran’s missile and air defense systems, taken out top Iranian military and government officials, including the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and had established air superiority over Tehran. But not without fatal collateral at home. (RELATED: The Line That Held on Iran)
"The opening “Genesis” waves of Roaring Lion on Saturday morning included about 200 Israeli fighter jets carrying out the largest military flyover in Israeli Air Force history, dropping hundreds of munitions on military targets in western Iran. The operation was carried out jointly with the U.S. military. Israeli forces focused on targeting Iranian missile storage, production, and launch sites and air defense systems, while the U.S. targeted Iran’s nuclear program facilities and the headquarters and command centers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ayatollah’s regime.
"The attack came on the heels of stalled talks between the U.S. and Iran, after Iran refused to agree to U.S. President Trump’s terms to dismantle its nuclear program, limit ballistic missile capabilities, and abandon its sponsorship of terrorist proxy groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. Since the so-called 12-Day war last June, Iran continued to advance and conceal its remaining nuclear assets, rehabilitate its missile arsenal (with the help of Russia and China), and finance, train, and arm regional proxies." . . .More...
