Maria Bartiromo Unloads on Far-Left Rep. Ro Khanna for Absurd Claim Obama 'Delivered' on Iran: 'He Sent Pallets of Cash!'

America's allies and other nations must love it when today's democrats replace Republicans in our government. Surely nations must be in awe at the silliness - yes, I mean silliness - of those who likely then represent our nation. We can only hope this silliness does not pervade the culture of conservatives. "Saudi Prince Mohammad bin Salman recently revealed that President Obama gave Iran $150 billion while he was in office, and the regime did not even build a single street with that money."

"Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo embarrassed Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and his absurd claim that Barack Obama ‘delivered’ on Iran.

"Bartiromo asked Khanna, “Are you suggesting that Obama’s leadership on Iran was better?”

“ 'Because under President Obama, there were 14 wire transfers to a— hold on, hold on. There were 14 wire transfers to a Swiss account linked to Hezbollah between 2014 and 2016. That was a total of $1.7 billion.”

“ 'This was after he left office. So, you know, he— it was almost like a shadow government. He also sent pallets of cash in a plane to Iran.”

“ 'Now, why would you send money to Iran knowing that they are building a nuclear weapon and they are the leading sponsor of terrorism?”

"Unable to dispute a single example of Obama’s support of the brutal Iranian regime,  Khanna replied, “Barack Obama was a great statesman who left America much safer. I wouldn’t put Donald Trump in the same paragraph.” . . .

The Democrats Are Becoming More Extreme; And the new radical extremes are only the beginning.

They have degraded education; journalism; entertainment; even TV channels as a whole. TD

"But Mamdani wasn’t elected by New Yorkers, but a minority coalition between urban leftists and Muslim occupants, while native New Yorkers mostly sat out the election."

"A recent poll showed current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who had worked in Cuba with the Marxist Venceremos Brigade trailing Councilwoman Nithya Raman, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. Only 24% of Los Angeles residents approve of the job that Bass is doing, which included the worst wildfires in the city’s history, while 47% disapprove.

"If disappointed voters replace Bass with an even more extreme version, that will be in line with what happened in New York City where a widely despised former Mayor Bill de Blasio was, after a one term break to make room for former Mayor Eric Adams, swapped out for Zohran Mamdani, who described him as a role model. Even only 100 days into his term, usually the political ‘honeymoon’ period, Mamdani’s approval rating is at only 43%. And the majority of New Yorkers believe that the city is headed in the wrong direction.

"In Chicago, former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, widely hated by voters, was replaced with Mayor Brandon Johnson, who made Lightfoot seem responsible, civil and moderate. Johnson’s approval ratings have recently been in the twenties, but the extremist teachers’ union hack may well be replaced by someone even worse. Possibilities include Alderman Byron Sigcho Lopez who spoke in front of a burned American flag at a pro-terrorist rally, and would move the city even further leftward.

"Democrats are in a downward spiral towards further extremes even as their poll ratings sink.

"In Maine, Democrats may well find themselves stuck with Graham Platner, a rich kid pretending to be a fisherman, who boasted of being a Communist, had a Nazi tattoo and praised a Hamas attack. In Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed, a Muslim who called for abolishing ICE and ‘choking out’ political opponents, who claimed that many in Dearborn mourned Iran’s Jihadist leader, and who has been campaigning with Hasan Piker, a social media influencer who celebrated Hamas and mourned the fall of the USSR, is running neck and neck in the Democrat primary." . . .

Springsteen’s N.J. concert was poisoned by hypocrisy. Anti-Trump final act is a tragic mistake

 Bobby Olivier - nj.com

"But even if Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones or Taylor Swift uses a premier ticket pricing system, none of them are also exalting themselves as the cavalry coming to rescue democracy from the clutches of fat-cat bureaucrats as they march to the bank."

. . . "One problem: It’s all hypocritical crap. Profiteering over legitimate protest. Springsteen’s artistic identity, as a bleeding-heart populist who sings for the destitute and downtrodden, has never been more disconnected from his economic behavior as a touring act or businessman. The blue-collar troubadour now charges exorbitant amounts for his tickets — up to $2,900 retail for the best seats in Newark Monday; prices he agreed to despite fan backlash. He’s selling “No Kings” branded flags for $90 in the arena concourse. And last week, his merchandise distributor got an injunction passed to ban bootleg T-shirt sales outside the venue, even as crews of independent sellers — fine examples of working-class people he’s romanticized for 50 years — hawk merch at nearly every other Prudential Center show without issue.

"The unrecognizable reality of the 2026 Springsteen experience, coupled with this tour’s political framing — an exploitation of American division and outrage in a manner no better than any cable news pundit — is a damning contradiction, a lapse in logic. It threatens to tarnish the final act of Bruce’s career and is no small tragedy for New Jersey’s greatest rock star." . .
.. . "Now Springsteen’s offering plate runneth over, as power and money are held above the people he serves, the people that made him — just like the administration he chastises."His impulse, to preserve his standing as rock’s last great prophet in the most commercial way imaginable, is shameful and frankly, a bit boring in its perceived antagonism. Of all the themes for a tour, he’s pitching anti-Trump ... in the president’s second term? Singing to 15,000 fans who already agree with him or they wouldn’t have spent a car payment (or two) on a ticket? What a revolutionary." . . .  More...

Another One Gone: Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick Resigns, Skirting an Expulsion Vote on Ethics Violations

Dive DeeperFlorida Democrat Faces Possible Expulsion From Congress After Being Found Guilty of 25 Ethics Violations

Damning Ethics Findings Fuel Expulsion Push for Rep Cherfilus-McCormick: ‘Substantial’ Evidence of Fraud

"Democrat Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (FL-20) has tendered her resignation effective Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. ET.

"As RedState reported on March 27, the House Ethics Commission found Cherfilus-McCormick guilty on 25 of 27 ethics violations, including violating campaign finance laws after she accepted more than $5 million in FEMA funds for a family business, and then spent the bulk of that money to fund her 2022 congressional campaign.

"As is the stance of many a politician of late, Cherfilus-McCormick expressed outrage, cried racism, and claimed it was a witch hunt to distract from the Epstein Files. However, after the ethics verdict came out, Cherfilus-McCormick had a "come to Jesus" meeting with her Democrat caucus to get an idea of whether she had the votes to avoid being expelled.

"The fact that Republican Rep. Ana Paulina Luna (FL-13) wanted her head on a platter probably added to the pressure.

"Before a vote on her expulsion, Cherfilus-McCormick submitted her formal resignation letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson.

I hereby resign my office from 119th Congress as Representative for Florida's 20th Congressional District, effective Tuesday April 21, 2026: 1:30 p.m.

It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve the people of my district. I remain proud of the work we have accomplished on behalf of our communities.

After careful reflection and prayer, I have concluded that it is in the best interest of my constituents and the institution that I step aside at this time.

I remain committed to supporting a smooth transition and ensuring continuity of service for the district.

"However, on her Congressional X account, Cherfilus-McCormick once again cried foul, declaring that the process was not fair and that due process was not allowed to be fully meted out." . . .
