"Wesley Hunt challenges the modern use of the term "Jim Crow" during a heated congressional hearing. After listening to repeated comparisons between voter ID laws and segregation, Hunt responds by displaying real historical images from the Jim Crow era and asking whether modern America truly resembles that period. The exchange quickly shifts from political talking points to a debate about history, race, voter ID laws, and the meaning of civil rights in 2026.
"This video covers Wesley Hunt, Jim Crow, voter ID laws, election integrity, congressional hearings, civil rights debate, segregation history, voting rights, Democrat arguments, and one of the most controversial moments from the hearing."Wednesday, June 17, 2026
The European Mind Is Beginning to Comprehend America
Heartland Institute – RedState
U.S. Votes To Legally Adopt Freddy The German | Babylon Bee
"A German soccer fan named Freddy walked into a Waffle House at 1 AM, ordered a hash brown bowl, and gave it a perfect score. Since then, seven million people have seen the post. In just a few days, he’s amassed more than 400,000 followers by driving across the American South and reacting to what he found, and he’s not alone.
"The 2026 World Cup brought European tourists to our doorstep, and they can’t stop talking about the awesome time they are having. A Swedish visitor named Elsa went viral, marveling at ranch dressing and the simple sight of a yellow school bus. A Scottish fan named Shaun documented being welcomed to a Texas barbecue and put American mac and cheese near the top of his all-time foods list. Another German fan watched a military flyover before a match and admitted, in the meme-centric phrasing, that the European mind cannot comprehend it.
"They are blown away by things we enjoy every day without thinking twice. The mountain-to-beach road trip. Fountain drinks the size of a small bucket. The Wendy's menu with more options than some European grocery stores. The bald eagle circling a football stadium holding 90,000 people. For people raised on a steady diet of negative stories about American decline and division, the real thing is a revelation. As it turns out, the America they’ve seen in the movies is actually the real deal.
"Here is the part that shouldn’t be overlooked: Everything our new European friends are experiencing is a result of America’s economic freedom.
"Buc-ee's wasn’t designed by the government. No central planner mandated 120 gas pumps, freshly made brisket, and a home goods section full of affordable tchotchkes. It exists because the free market rewards entrepreneurs who serve customers better than the next guy. The road trip from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Gulf of America in a single day is possible because Americans enjoy affordable fuel, open roads, and the freedom to fill up their Ford F-150 without asking anyone’s permission.
"The European mind struggles to comprehend American abundance because the European economic model is not built to produce it. Most EU states tax gasoline in excess and ration energy in the name of climate targets, making driving a personal vehicle too expensive for residents to justify. When you tax and regulate the life out of an economy, you don’t get Buc-ee's, you get a tiny petrol station with two pumps and a bathroom that costs a euro to use. The best real-world example of this contrast is that the average person living in America’s poorest state has a higher income and greater purchasing power than the average EU resident.".. . More...
Trump’s Iran Deal: Americans Wanted Something Done Short Of Ground Troops, And They Got It
“War is this regime’s shield against popular uprisings, while peace and a ceasefire are, as Khomeini put it, like ‘poison’ for it,” Rajavi said. “The overthrow of the regime is the responsibility of the Iranian people and their organized Resistance.”
"President Donald Trump’s deal with Iran has received a lot of flak from both sides of the spectrum for its supposed shortcomings. Is it a failure before it’s even finalized? No, but that won’t stop the angry backbiting over an agreement that looks like it could significantly weaken Iran’s ability to cause trouble in the Middle East.
"Let’s be clear: If Trump’s deal leads to a non-nuclear Iran, a freer flow of oil to the global economy, and a more stable Mideast, that will be a net gain for everyone concerned.
"For the record, no, we’re not entirely satisfied, either. We didn’t want Trump to give an inch to the mullahs.
"'The only choice they should be offered is to give up everything or lose it all to the almighty forces of the U.S. and Israeli militaries,” we wrote in late May.
"But that was before people on both the left and the right began complaining about committing ground troops. Our own I&I/TIPP Poll showed a 57% majority of Americans opposed sending U.S. ground troops into Iran.
"Those of us who have been around since Vietnam remember quite well that even the most gung-ho supporters of military action often recant when troops get wounded or killed. It happened in Vietnam, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan. It would have been no different in Iran.
"Meanwhile, continuing the war and leaving Iran entirely bombed out and devastated would have perhaps set off a global recession of epic proportions as oil prices spiked. As it is, inflation-adjusted oil prices peaked recently at $109.70 a barrel. Prices are now at $77.02 a barrel.
"So Trump didn’t “lose” a war. There was never a real war to begin with. A war almost always requires troops, direct battle, and a will to win." . . . More...
"rump did it with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman AND Israel on our side."
. . . "If someone told you this 10 years ago, you would have thought them crazy. Arab Muslims supporting Israel against a Muslim nation? Get out of here. Donald Trump saw it as a challenge. He launched the Abraham Accord to bring Jews and the Muslims together.
"It worked.
"Yes, we lost 13 troops in the fighting—but that just happens to be the number of troops Joe Biden lost in surrendering the Basram airport in Biden’s faile retreat from Afghanistan. Biden left behind at least $8 billion worth of military hardware behind.
"The Pentagon estimates we killed 6,000 Iranian military personnel, we sank 150 Navy vessels and we destroyed most of Iran’s 350 aircraft. Many of its planes never left the ground. We took out Iran’s air defense." . . .

Josh Hawley on Warpath After Baseball Players Targeted, and MLB Won't Like What May Be Coming Next
"RedState reported earlier on the disgraceful warning Major League Baseball issued in the aftermath of three San Francisco Giants baseball players (pitcher Landen Roupp, along with relievers J.T. Brubaker and Ryan Walker) refusing to bend the knee to "Pride Night" by writing Bible verses on their rainbow-themed hats during their Friday game against the Chicago Cubs.
"As my colleague Rusty Weiss noted, these were "Bible verses, mind you, that explain the true symbolism of the rainbow—God's covenant with Noah, his descendants, and every living creature after the great flood." The verses were Genesis 9:12-16:
"The Monday warning stated that "The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations." In a follow-up statement, they pretended they weren't issuing the warning because they didn't like the Christian message. "To be clear, this routine verbal warning not to wear the hat in future games is not disciplinary and had absolutely nothing to do with the content of the message." Sure." . . .

. . . "As expected, players expressing their Christianity weren’t well received by sportswriters on the political left, who threw criticism at Roupp and his fellow pitchers. The backlash led to Major League Baseball getting involved.
"According to a report from The Athletic, an official within MLB has “warned” the Giants pitchers not to write on their hats and be in violation of the rules.
“The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations,” said MLB chief communications officer Pat Courtney in an official statement.

Chicago Cross Burning Is Latest Example Of Left-Wing Extremism Being Blamed On GOP
"All too often, acts of left-wing violence and extremism are ignored because the left is obsessed with the rather non-existent threat of right-wing extremism."
All too often, acts of left-wing violence and extremism are ignored because the left is obsessed with the rather non-existent threat of right-wing extremism so much so that it blinds their ability to see an increasingly radical left and as a result, (as is the case with Chicago), the knee jerk reaction from Democrats and the left is to blame Republicans.

15 Antifa Goons Face Slew of Charges For Attacks on Federal Officers During Anti-ICE Riots in Minneapolis
"He said the agitators “even followed law enforcement officers from locations like the Whipple building to the officers’ homes.'”
"The Department of Justice announced Tuesday that 15 Antifa-affiliated defendants have been charged with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers, along with several other charges related to the violent anti-ICE uprising in Minneapolis earlier this year.
"A federal grand jury in Minnesota indicted the agitators for plotting violence against ICE officers during the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities, dubbed “Operation Metro Surge.”
"During a press conference announcing the indictment, U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Daniel N. Rosen declared that “political violence is the scourge of our times” and said that federal law enforcement is dedicated to combatting that violence.
"He told reporters that the defendants are members of Direct Action Minnesota (also known as DAMN) and its subgroup the Black Cat Workers Collective, a group of “Antifa affinity” organizations that train members in aggressive tactics against law enforcement.
"Rosen said the Black Cat Workers Collective “advocates, promotes and utilizes militant tactics and violence,” and pointed out that on social media, the group even features a banner depicting the 2020 torching of the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd Precinct, along with the words, “Welcome to Minneapolis!” . . . Major League Baseball commits an unforced error — an unforgiveable one
"All about honoring the gays and stomping out the Christians."
"Sports is supposed to be about entertainment and escape, not indoctrination and adherence to The Narrative. It should be unifying, not divisive."
"Insanity is en vogue.
"Major League Baseball (MLB) wants each and every team to abide by its Pride Month mandates. (Only one team, the Texas Rangers has failed to do so this year.) Teams are supposed to host a “Pride Night” during which the team’s players are supposed to don gaily colored Pride apparel. As if that isn’t intrusive and tyrannical enough, MLB has now issued a warning to three Christian San Francisco Giants pitchers who had the unbridled temerity to inscribe a Biblical passage, Genesis Chapter 9, on their “Pride Night” ball caps last Friday.
"That passage reads:
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
"Pat Courtney, MLB’s chief communications officer, issued a statement to LGBT sports site Outsports reading, “The writing on the cap violates our rules and consistent with normal practice we have warned the players about future violations.” Outsports subsequently published a truly stupefyingly hypocritical and condescending commentary stating, “Three SF Giants pitchers disgraced themselves at the team’s Pride Night, weaponizing the Pride rainbow and attacking the LGBTQ community.” . . . Battling ‘Pride’ month with religious faith initiatives - Susan Quinn
"We also recognize that some members of the Pride community are promoting a lifestyle that many of us don’t appreciate or agree with, yet they often feel justified in attacking us. What’s worse, is they’re often not content to keep it in their bedroom—they force it into our churches and schools, demand we censor our beliefs to promote theirs, and come after children."

The Bee Explains: How Soccer Works
"The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being hosted in the United States for the first time since 1994. But what should be a cause for celebration is, instead, confusing a lot of Americans who can't quite seem to grasp the nature of the game. Thankfully, The Babylon Bee is here to compile all the facts you need to understand the obscure sport of soccer."
"WHAT IS IT?
Soccer, or fútbol as it's often erroneously called, pits two teams of twenty against each other in a rectangular arena to see who can put a ball in the other team's goal the most times.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The game takes place over a series of rounds called halves. Each half is supposed to take 45-minutes, but they never do. The game clock often goes beyond the elapsed time for no discernible reason, giving players an additional opportunity to casually jog around on the grass.
HOW DO YOU PLAY?
Players must work as a team to overwhelm the opposing team's goalie and symbolically murder him through the scoring of goals.
There are several key positions:
Center — This guy is in the center.
Forward — This guy is further forward than the center.
Sweeper — This guy sweeps the field near their goal to make sure nothing will trip his teammates.
Goalie — This guy is in the goal and protects it, keeping the other team from scoring. He also gets to wear special gloves.
Other — Everyone else takes up this position, and kind of just runs around the field in random directions. They can also chase butterflies and catch them for extra points.
As players compete for possession of the soccer ball, they must also adhere to several arbitrary rules meant merely for philosophical introspection. These include the offside rule (with an imaginary line that follows a player's heart), out of bounds, and the use of hands.
HANDS?
Though commonly called "fútbol" internationally, the sport often employs the use of knees, chest, and head for some reason. Hands are strictly off limits, except when they're not. A foul is typically not called unless a soccer player first announces, "I am going to use my hands!" and then proceeds to do so.
HOW ARE FOULS RULED?
In place of referees or umpires, the sport employs the use of on-field schoolteachers who reprimand poor players by assigning them devastating yellow or red report cards to shame them into submission.
IS IT A DANGEROUS SPORT?
Only for the audience. Soccer is unique in that it takes place both on and off the field (or "pitch," as it's called to honor baseball, the only sport invented by God). Audience members take part in the event themselves as if it were an interactive show. A team's fans must, by necessity, shout down opponents in an attempt to destroy them, or their team will lose style points.
The outcome of the match, win or lose, leads to a riot. This is a strict rule observed by all true soccer fans.
I DON'T THINK I UNDERSTAND THIS GAME
Well, this article explained it perfectly, so that's on you."

Fonda and Joy Reid dared call President Trump "Racist"!
Joy Reid goes on most unhinged, racist rant yet: ‘mediocre white men’ never invented anything . . . "According to these two idiots, white people are parasites, riding the coattails of incredible black intellectuals and inventors. Naturally, Ali and Reid didn’t name any specifics about who these achieving blacks were, because of course, this is a fictitious narrative. (If they had name-dropped Thomas Sowell or Booker T. Washington, I would have actually heard them out.)
‘These people cannot create culture on their own,’ Ali said. ‘Without Black people, Brown people, the DEIs, there’s no culture in America. We make the food better. We make the economy better. We make the music better. Right? MAGA can’t create culture. They got Cracker Barrel and Kid Rock.’
"An America without black people would mean rates of theft, rape, and murder would drastically drop—statistically speaking. If there were no blacks, every state would essentially look like Vermont, known as “the safest” state, which has a black population near zero (1.6%). And without DEIs it means we’d restore systems based on merit, meaning everything from services to products would be better, for everybody." . . .
"If “these people” (meaning whites) “cannot create culture on their own,” then how do they explain the gloriousness of Europe? (And, America is simply an extension of European peoples and the Christian values conceived there, built for European progeny.). . .
In what universe could professedly anti-racist Hollywood elderly invite the bitter bigotry of Joy Reid? Not occasional racist opinions but ones woven throughout all she is, feels and declares.

Cornell student who said he's 'not interested in working for a Jew' is given $11k from supporters
"Young Mr. Franco sounds like he experienced FAFO. His parents should have taught him some manners. A simple “I’m not interested” would have prevented all of this." Reader comment...
"A Cornell student caught in a whirlwind of controversy after declaring that he was 'not interested in working for a Jew,' has received more than $11,000 from supporters who blamed Jewish people for trying to 'ruin' his reputation.
"Austin Franco, 19, sparked a fierce debate on social media after he turned down an interview at a tech start-up over the founder's Jewish faith.
"Gabe Einhorn, the 24-year-old chief executive of VryfID, an anti-fraud platform, jumped on X to share the message he received from Franco on the college career platform Handshake.
"He included a screenshot of Franco's comments, which read: 'Not interested in working for a Jew. Thanks.'
"Yet, after receiving mountains of backlash over his comments, supporters began appearing and rallying behind the Ivy League student.
"A GiveSendGo was even made for Franco, which garnered over $11,400 as of Monday afternoon.
"An account on X, which operates under the username Lord Miles, said he created the fundraiser and wrote: 'I’ve created a givesendgo with 100% of proceeds going to him. jews are doxxing this man and trying to ruin his career. I cannot let that happen.'
"The user, who is known for controversial content, verified an X account previously believed to be connected to Franco, which has a bio that reads, 'Standing by my principles: honor, integrity, and loyalty.'" . . . More...

Victory in Iran
"Cuba is next. I doubt we’ll kill many leaders and we cannot destroy their air force, navy and air defense because they don’t exist. We could land troops, but why? Cuba needs foreign investment, not Army Rangers."
The main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon! They fully agreed to that with strong POLICING powers and they won’t have a nuclear weapon, which is what it was all about because they probably would have used it if they had it.So we had two big moments when we terminated the JCPOA, that was the Obama deal, the Barack Hussein Obama deal. And when I terminated, that was very important because it was a road to a nuclear weapon. It was a horrible deal for the United States. It was a deal where billions of dollars was given to Iran.
