That knock at the door

. . ."In uncertain times like this, we as a country must come together in support of our bedrock institutions. We are facing unparalleled threats to our democracy. Who but the FBI will stand guard against the domestic terrorists who ask their local school board to stop segregation? How will America continue if we do not arrest those who build LEGO models of the Capitol? Now is not the time for talking about the well-documented cases of the FBI encouraging young men to commit mass shootings. No, friends. Now is the time for putting our absolute faith in the organization who so wisely protected Epstein's clients, who labored for years to prove Russian collusion before discovering the Steele dossier was a hoax, and who we are sure will finally act on the evidence of Hunter Biden's felonies any day now.". . .

14 FBI Whistleblowers Came Forward Against DOJ After Mar-a-Lago Raid

Jim Jordan: 14 FBI Whistleblowers Came Forward Against DOJ After Mar-a-Lago Raid (legalinsurrection.com)

“It’s becoming a well-worn trail of agents who say this has got to stop, and thank goodness for them and that American people recognize it, and I believe they’re going to make a big change on November 8.”

. . ."Two months ago, Jordan said that six FBI whistleblowers approached the committee. Two came forward in relation to a school board memo and four in connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. In the Senate, meanwhile, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in July that whistleblowers had come to his office to provide information, including disclosures relating to investigations into Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings.

“ 'It’s becoming a well-worn trail of agents who say this has got to stop, and thank goodness for them and that American people recognize it, and I believe they’re going to make a big change on November 8,” Jordan said Sunday, referring to the 2022 midterm elections.". . .

What the Biden Administration Wrought in Afghanistan

"It left behind total devastation". Reflecting unfavorably on not just Joe Biden, but the United States and the people of this nation who choose silly leaders like him.

"We are approaching the one-year anniversary of the collapse of the U.S.-backed Afghan government and its replacement with the Taliban. The Diplomat’s managing editor, Catherine Putz, spoke with Justine Fleischner of Afghan Peace Watch about what has transpired since then. Fleischner’s account is a damning indictment of the Biden administration as human rights. . ."

More than $7 billion in U.S.-provided weapons seized by Taliban when Afghan government fell - Washington Times   . . ."More than $7 billion worth of U.S.-supplied military hardware, ranging from howitzers to sniper rifles, fell into the hands of the Taliban in Afghanistan when the American-backed government in Kabul swiftly collapsed amid the U.S. pullout a year ago.
"In a report released Tuesday, the Defense Department’s Inspector General said the U.S. government provided almost $85 billion in security assistance to Afghan forces from 2005 to 2021. About $18.6 billion of it funded the procurement of weapons and equipment over the years.
"The Taliban seized more than $923 million worth of military aircraft; $4.1 billion worth of ground vehicles; and more than $511 million worth of weapons when they took control of Afghanistan, according to the report.
"Also left behind were Humvees and heavy Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles.
"The Afghan forces were heavily reliant on U.S. contractor support to maintain both their aircraft and ground vehicle fleets,” the Pentagon IG said. “Without this continued support, the long-term operability of these assets would be limited.”. . .

Americans Stranded In Afghanistan For Full Year Starting To Think Maybe Biden's Not Coming Back For Them | Babylon Bee  . . ."Representatives for the new Taliban government insisted that all Americans are being treated humanely and will live happy lives — as long they never disobey or question Sharia Law — in which case they will be tortured to death.
" 'We will continue to wait patiently in hopes that Mr. Biden will think of us and maybe send someone," said another American refugee. "I'm sure he's working on a brilliant plan and will send people for us any minute!"
"At publishing time, several stranded Americans submitted an anonymous tip to the FBI that they were in possession of several classified documents from the Trump presidency in hopes that the FBI will send someone to get them."

See Ya ’Round, Liz -

Liz Cheney and Her Supporters Learn Zero Lessons From Her Embarrassing Defeat – RedState   "By the time most people went to bed on Tuesday evening, it was already abundantly clear that Rep. Liz Cheney had not just lost her Republican primary, but she had gotten obliterated. The next morning provided an even clearer picture, showing the soon-to-be ex-congresswoman lost by nearly 40 points.

"With the primary election in the books, the only thing left was to deal with the reaction. Unfortunately, Cheney and the establishment-loving figures backing her learned zero lessons from the crushing defeat. In fact, they are only doubling down on what so clearly didn’t work.

"Here’s a helpful meme to illustrate things.". . .

See Ya ’Round, Liz - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "Bush Republicanism, that zombie political persuasion which in its heyday did for the GOP and the conservative movement what Jimmy Carter and Mike Dukakis did for the Democrats, might not quite be dead. But rigor mortis set in several years ago to be sure.

"Just ask Liz Cheney, whose political career was zombified in January 2021 when she opted to not just turn on Donald Trump in a public fashion — Cheney was always a Never Trumper; she just didn’t out herself as one until she thought the coast was clear — but to harp on the question.

"Cheney voted for the idiotic post-presidential impeachment of Trump. Then she volunteered to serve on the disgraceful kangaroo court that is the Jan. 6 Committee, perhaps the most counterproductive political fiasco since Monsieur Robespierre felt the guillotine’s blade.

"The rumblings within the GOP have gotten louder and louder since — especially as Trump-backed challengers have knocked off one impeachment voter after another, and the MAGA/revivalist wing of the party has laid waste to the Bush Republican crowd up and down the GOP ballot this year.

"And Tuesday, the voters of Wyoming delivered to Cheney a metaphorical echo of what befell Robespierre. Harriet Hageman, a lawyer who’s made a name for herself going to war against the EPA and environmentalist wacko groups over a three-decade career and who ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2018, clobbered the most prominent Never Trumper in elected office by a 65-31 percent margin, with almost 60 percent of votes counted at time of publication.

"The size of that beatdown is a big deal. One Wyoming voter summed up the reason why quite nicely:". . .

Rugby Team Facing Full Revolt After Players Refuse to Wear ‘Pride’ Jerseys Announced Last-Minute

Sydney Morning Herald  "A group of Australian rugby players plan to boycott their team's upcoming match after it was announced that gay pride jerseys will be worn.  "

"Seven Manly Sea Eagles players will boycott Thursday night's match against Sydney after being blindsided by their club's decision to wear a pride jersey, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

"Manly's coach, Des Hasler, told the players he understood the difficult position they had been put in as a result of the club not consulting them about the jersey, the Herald reported.

"The coach said he will support their decision not to play.

"The players did not want to wear the jersey on cultural and religious grounds, the Herald reported.

"Sea Eagles team officials said they understood the backlash it would face from the public if they decided against wearing the gay pride jersey after publicly launching it on Monday, the Herald reported.

"Manly legend Ian Roberts, who came out as gay during his playing days in the 1990s, had been an advocate of the club wearing the one-off jersey.". . .

Brittney Griner National Anthem Comments Resurface Amid 9 Year Russian Prison Sentence -

Analyzing America  . . ."Back in 2020, critics say Griner openly bashed America and vowed to protest during the National Anthem. She also refused to be present if the National Anthem was playing.

“ 'I’m not going to be out there for the National Anthem,” Griner said. “I’m going to protest regardless.”

“ 'If the league continues to want to play it, that’s fine. It will be all season long, I’ll not be out there. I feel like more are going to probably do the same thing. I can only speak for myself,” she added.

“ 'I honestly feel we should not play the National Anthem during our season,” Griner said in 2020. “I think we should take that much of a stand.”

''Griner used her platform as an athlete as a backdrop for social and political activism.

''Although she claims her comments about the National Anthem were not meant “disrespect to our country,” many Americans don’t feel that way.

"Fox News political commentator Tomi Lahren responded after learning about Griner’s Russian prison sentence by explaining, “On the bright side, B Griner won’t have to endure our National Anthem for 9 whole years!' ”. . .

How About a Climate Change Policy That Actually Likes America?

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics   "That “Inflation Reduction Act” the Democrats passed a week ago on Capitol Hill is best known, at this point, for its most brazen horror — which is of course the 87,000 IRS agents it will inflict on the American people.

"But that bill is also one of the most horrific assaults on American manufacturing and fossil fuel extraction in history, all in the name of fighting “climate change.”

"This column accepts none of the premises of the global environmental Left when it comes to their unproven/disproven theories about anthropogenic global warming. It made that point clear when Greta “Scoldilocks” Thunberg made her way to our shores. But, here’s the truth about global warming, or “climate change”: it’s a ruse, a pretext, a crooked game.

"There is no reason that game can’t be rigged the opposite way. It’s about time the Republican Party stopped playing Washington Generals on Capitol Hill and started cutting out the legs of the grifters on the Left.

"What are we talking about here? Well, the other side has been bobbing and weaving in an effort to foist this implausible narrative that your GMC Acadia and your 70-inch TV are killing the planet and it’ll be uninhabitable in a dozen years — a narrative they’ve been attempting to convince you of for well more than a dozen years. When Thunberg came onto the scene, she showed something the perspiration pimps of the climate change movement probably regret putting on display — namely, that ceaseless apocalyptic advocacy along the global warming lines is turning too many kids into psychopaths terrified of their own shadows and angrily demanding the deindustrialization of the West.

"That is the sum total of Greta Thunberg’s crusade, and she is the single most visible figure among the global warming creeps of the past five years if not more.

"But if we were to surrender to this grift, this idea that if we don’t returto plows driven by oxen and commuters sweating away on bicycles as we surrender to global socialism of the Klaus Schwab variety, we’ll burn up the planet, would it even matter?". . .

Garland Stature Shrinks as He Doggedly Pursues Trump

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "In the cult classic "The Incredible Shrinking Man," the character Scott Carey is caught in a thick fog that causes him to gradually shrink to the point that he lives in a doll house and fights off the house cat. At one point, Carey delivers a strikingly profound line: "The unbelievably small and the unbelievably vast eventually meet – like the closing of a gigantic circle."

"If one image sums up the incredibly shrinking stature of Attorney General Merrick Garland, it is that line in the aftermath of the FBI search of former President Donald

"Two years ago, I was one of many who supported Garland when he was nominated for attorney general. While his personality seemed a better fit for the courts than the Cabinet, he is a person with unimpeachable integrity and ethics.". . .

Doubts about Garland's handling of controversy

"If there are now doubts, it is not about his character but his personality in dealing with political controversies. Those concerns have grown in the past week. ". . .

MSNBC attempts to defend FBI after Trump Mar-a-Lago raid

MSNBC attempts to defend FBI after Trump Mar-a-Lago raid - American Thinker "They say justice delayed is justice denied. Similarly, the law applied selectively is also justice denied. For any given action that is considered to be a violation of the law, the punishment should be equal, irrespective of who the perpetrator is.

"The only countries where laws are applied selectively are totalitarian dictatorships; there you get away with murder if you are an ally of the regime and if you are the regime’s perceived enemy,  you could be sent to prison for a prolonged period for not returning a book from a

public library before the due date.

"Last week’s raid on President Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home made it amply clear that there is a two-tier justice system.

"Back in 2015, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, had emailed classified government materials using her personal email address and conducted official business on an unsecured server housed on a bathroom of her home. Despite being under federal subpoena, Hillary Clinton had “bleached” thousands of emails and destroyed her communication devices and records. These are obvious federal felonies.

"Did the FBI raid her home to confiscate the server? .....Emphatically not!". . .

. . ."The very same Comey revealed that he sent agent Peter Strzok on a preplanned mission to trap National Security Advisor Michael Flynn in hopes of finding Flynn in violation of the Logan Act, a 1799 law that has never been prosecuted successfully. Flynn was fired for lying to the vice president and the FBI. He was subjected to a prolonged legal nightmare

"In the end, Flynn, who is a patriot, was vilified and bankrupted by legal fees. His crime? Challenging the status quo and attempting to drain the swamp.  Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell revealed that Flynn had intended to audit the intelligence agencies as Trump’s National Security Advisor. Hence, he was stopped.

"The Mar-a-Lago raid was a coup de grâce that cemented the FBI's reputation as a rogue and deeply politicized agency.

Victor Davis Hanson On Trump Raid: ‘The FBI is Beyond Redemption’

Victor Davis Hanson On Trump Raid: 'The FBI is Beyond Redemption' (VIDEO) (thegatewaypundit.com)

"The writer and historian Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most serious thinkers of our time. When he says something, people should listen.

"Following the raid on Trump’s Florida home, Hanson is saying that the FBI is beyond redemption. That it cannot and should not be saved in its current form.

"To hear Hanson saying this should alarm people. He is not the type of man who engages in outrageous talk. He means this, for real.

Victor Hanson: ‘We Don’t Have Rule of Law in Washington … FBI is Beyond Redemption’

When asked about the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Fla., professor, author, and political commentator Victor David Hanson said, “right now, we don’t have the rule of law in Washington,” and added that, “The FBI is beyond redemption.”

Hanson, who was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President George W. Bush, made his remarks on the Aug. 9 edition of FNC’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, guest-hosted by Will Cain.

Cain asked Hanson why the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago and why were they targeting Trump.

“Well, they’re afraid in the short term,” he said, in reference to the Democrats and the left, “but in the long term they believe they’re morally superior to America, and therefore any means necessary or justifiable for their morally superior ends.”…

An Elegy for the FBI - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

The FBI Has Gotten So Bad Even the Most Restrained Pundit on the Right is Calling for It to Be 'Broken Up' (trendingpolitics.com)   "Victor Davis Hanson is often the avuncular and sobering voice of reason on the conservative right. But on Friday’s episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” guest-hosted by Will Cain, ‘VDH’ unleashed a clarion call on the FBI so passionate it may move you to tears.

“ 'At moments like this, why has what we’ve watched over the last 24 hours taken place?” Cain asked. “Why have they targeted Donald Trump?”

“ 'Well, they’re afraid in the short term, but in the long term, they believe they’re morally superior to America, and therefore, any means necessary or justifiable for their morally superior ends,” VDH said. “Right now, we don’t have the rule of law in Washington. Whether you’re targeted or exempt depends on your ideology. So in the past, when there was a dispute over the archives or presidential papers, Barack Obama just said, ‘I’m not going to turn them over, the freedom of information.’ He spent $30 million resisting efforts to do that. George Bush had an executive order and said,’ you know what, I’m not going to do this.’ And that was adjudicated. And now we go after a president, and go to his house with 30 agents. In the past when a high official was called for a congressional subpoena, Eric Holder just said, ‘I’m not going, and I’m not turning over any of this Fast and Furious.”

“ 'The idea that you would put him in shackles or you’d confront him with his family and grab his phone is just ridiculous,” he added. “But this is what we’re doing on ideological basis. And when you start to do that, you don’t have a democracy anymore. And I don’t think we do.' ”

'The FBI Raid On Melania's Closet Was Justified,' Says Merrick Garland Wearing Gorgeous New Evening Gown And Sun Hat

"With many Americans up in arms over the unprecedented raid of former President Trump's residence in Mar-a-Lago by the FBI, Attorney General Garland released a statement to assure everyone the raid was completely justified. Eyewitnesses noted he looked unusually fetching in an elegant Dolce & Gabbana evening gown and a Dior sun hat.
""We wouldn't raid Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate or Melania's wardrobe unless it was absolutely, 100% necessary," said Garland. "I resent any accusation that this raid was influenced by partisan politics or my insatiable desire to wear pretty designer dresses." The Attorney General then did a little spin in his purple gown as the press gasped with delight.
"FBI Director Christopher Wray echoed the statement as he strode up to the Hoover Building in a dazzling pair of diamond-encrusted Alexander McQueen stilettos. "The men and women of the FBI are paragons of unassailable integrity and impartiality, and any suggestion otherwise is murderous treason," he said. Several news outlets present also noted the delicious smell of Chanel No.5 in the air.
"At publishing time, Trump had taken to Truth Social to announce that all his golf clubs were also missing."
