The SPLC Pays Racists To Do Racist Things (Updated)

Religio-Political Talk (RPT)

…"not every Democrat was a KKK’er, but every KKK’er was a Democrat.” — Ann Coulter, Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama "

(You don’t dislike Democrats enough)

The Southern Poverty Law Center leveraged its credibility from fighting the KKK to smear mainstream conservatives — placing them on a “hate map” and “extremist watch list” alongside neo-Nazis and actual Klan chapters.

Targets included:

  • Turning Point USA
  • PragerU
  • Dr. Ben Carson
  • Stephen Miller
  • Sen. Rand Paul
  • Jack Posobiec
  • Matt Walsh
  • Chaya Raichik
  • James Lindsay
  • Mike Cernovich
  • Moms for Liberty
  • David Horowitz
  • Franklin Graham
  • Charles Murray
  • Dennis Prager
  • Frank Gaffney
  • Heritage Foundation
  • The Federalist Society

These are mainstream conservative figures—authors, scholars, influencers, elected officials, student organizations, and parent groups—branded as extremists for political disagreement.

Their sole offense was disagreeing with the SPLC’s politics.

Yet the SPLC listed them in the same database as terrorist organizations and white supremacist hate groups.

The real-world consequences followed.

In 2012, a gunman targeted the Family Research Council after using the SPLC’s “hate map” as a guide.

Months before Charlie Kirk’s murder, the SPLC added Turning Point USA to that same map.

One day before his death, it published

Putin hiding in underground bunkers ‘for weeks’ to avoid assassination, leaked report claims

"Leader is concerned for his personal safety after the killings of top generals and an alleged attack on his personal residence"

 The Independent

Top Russian general Fanil Sarvarov was killed after a bomb detonated beneath his car in December

"Russian president Vladimir Putin has amped up security precautions over fears of being assassinated, according to a leaked European intelligence report.

The 73-year-old leader is said to be so concerned about his personal safety that he spends weeks at an underground bunker in the Krasnodar region, according to CNN.

Bodyguards, cooks and photographers must be thoroughly screened before being near him and are unable to use their personal phones; instead, they are forced to use devices without any internet access.

It also alleges that Putin has stopped going to his residences in Moscow Oblast and Valdai, Novgorod Oblast. This appears to follow unverified claims that Ukraine attempted to attack the Russian president at his personal residence in the Novgorod region. US intelligence found that it had not been targeted, and Kyiv has denied the allegations.

The measures have also reportedly been put in place following the killing of a top general, Fanil Sarvarov, in December. Sarvarov was killed by a bomb planted under his car." . . .

Trump rips into ‘crying like a baby’ CNN mainstay for calling him a ‘Dictator’ — a year ago

  The Independent

“This hateful and constant and violent rhetoric directed at President Trump, day after day after day for 11 years, has helped to legitimize this violence and bring us to this dark moment,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt last week.

. . . "Trump’s anger against the media has intensified in recent weeks as coverage of the war in Iran and Americans’ views of the economy have painted a dour picture for his party ahead of the midterms. Jones is not the only CNN figure to take a beating from the president; the network’s White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins is a frequent target of his insults.
"In February, the president made headlines with a comment to Collins many perceived as sexist. During a White House event, Trump responded to a question from Collins by claiming he’d never “seen [her] smile”.
"Democrats on Capitol Hill frequently accuse the president of using authoritarian tactics and methods, including the efforts of the FCC under his administration to punish media companies including CBS and ABC. In recent days, he has renewed his efforts to pressure ABC into firing Jimmy Kimmel, his likely last remaining vocal critic among the broadcast late-night hosts after CBS announced that Stephen Colbert’s show would come to an end this year." . . .

Exposing The Great Green Grift

Issues & Insights

. . . "People are beginning to realize that the entire scheme has had no connection to the climate and is inextricably connected to aggregating political power, social dominance, and piles of money for the left." . . .

"As much as $16 trillion has been spent worldwide to defeat global warming. It could have been twice that and it would never be enough because the climate hustlers need to keep the dollars rolling in to line their own pockets. Now we finally have an Environmental Protection Agency chief who’s exposing the racket.

"Testifying last week before a Senate committee, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin told lawmakers that the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, a $27 billion stash that was created through the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, is a con. His office found that money that was supposed to have some environmental benefit has been funneled “to former Obama and Biden officials” as well as Democratic donors

“ 'The conflicts of interest that we saw … the amount of self-dealing, the unqualified recipients … (the) Climate United Fund CEO was a special assistant in the Office of Management and Budget during the Obama-Biden administration … they received $6.9 billion,” said Zeldin, who, as a rational skeptic of the climate narrative, is finally the right man for the job.

"He also told the committee that a Biden-Harris climate adviser served on the board of the Coalition for Green Capital, joining in 2023 while the organization was applying for federal funds. He reported, as well, that the Power Forward Communities chief executive ran Fannie Mae during the Obama-Biden administration.

“'If we had 10 more minutes,” said Zeldin, “I could just go through conflicts of interest.”

"One assumes it might take more than 10 minutes. The global warming scare has been an ongoing grift, a bursting slush fund for the political left for some time.

"After the hearing, Zeldin continued his most-welcome broadside, posting on X that he was “done with the likes of AOC, Al Gore, John Kerry, and the rest of the lying cabal that make stupid climate predictions, plunder tens of billions of tax dollars, enrich their well-connected allies, and are committed to strangulating out of existence entire sectors of our economy.”

"He finished by declaring, “The GREEN NEW SCAM is DEAD!!!”

"We hope so. We’ve been trying to kill it for nearly three decades, and at times it felt we were nearly alone. We weren’t. We’ve had allies whom we relied on. But the overwhelming storyline that had become widely accepted as undeniable fact was a fire hose of misinformation, exaggerations, implausible assumptions, scientific fraud, tall tales, and outright lies that overshadowed the truth." . . . More...

Judge apologizes to Trump WHCD alleged shooter after he complained about mediocre jail conditions

Who Is Zia Faruqui? . . . "Zia Faruqui is Muslim. He has spoken at events organised by Muslim legal associations, including on the topic of pathways to becoming a federal magistrate judge."

Judge apologizes to Trump WHCD alleged shooter after he complained about mediocre jail conditions . . . "Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui slammed attorneys during a Monday afternoon court hearing over the conditions of Allen's imprisonment. Allen was placed on suicide watch when he was first jailed.

'At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he’s taken care of. Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to,' the judge said.

"Faruqui went on to compare Allen's imprisonment to those arrested for rioting at
the
 Capitol on January 6, 2021.

" 'To me, it’s extremely disturbing that he was put in five-point restraints, a person with no criminal history,' Faruqui added. 'It’s troubling. I never heard of one Jan. 6 defendant who was put in five-point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that’s a problem.'

"The judge ordered officials at the DC jail to update him by tomorrow morning about Allen's requested jail accommodations. Allen's attorneys filed a motion on Sunday demanding he be removed from suicide watch restrictions in prison.

"While admonishing prison officials, Judge Faruqui emphasized that Allen is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Yet Allen posted a manifesto admitting to plotting the shooting, and video footage captured the would-be assassin rushing past Secret Service while wielding a shotgun before agents opened fire." . . .

In that same vein:  Time to start impeaching Leftist Animal Judges that keep releasing criminals to rape and kill our people
. . . "We have to start somewhere and lead by example. A righteous judge must possess integrity, impartiality, judicial temperament, professional competence, diligence, patience, wisdom and knowledge. In other words, in a world of activist judges, instead be a Clarence Thomas."
Magistrate Judge Apologizes To WHCD Shooting Suspect Cole Allen Over Jail Conditions
Faruqui expressed concern that Allen was being treated more harshly than other defendants accused of political violence, including those charged after the January 6 Capitol riot. “He’s being treated differently than anyone I’ve ever observed,” the judge said, noting that other high-profile detainees were housed in less restrictive conditions.

Let's see...were the Jan 6th people planning to kill as many of the President's administration as possible?  Did any of them fire a shotgun blast at a Secret Service guard, hitting him in his chest?

If an assassin goes in expecting to be killed, should he not be considered a suicide risk?

"Faruqui apologized to Allen over his confinement conditions. In response to a news report on that apology, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro criticized him in a social media post that said Faruqui “believes a defendant armed to the teeth and attempting to assassinate the president is entitled to preferential treatment in his confinement compared to every other defendant.”

The Real Wound Isn’t the Bullet — It’s the Trauma Left Behind - American Thinker

In the middle of that chaos, Erika Kirk was rushed backstage. She cried, “I just want to go home.” This is a woman who already buried the love of her life — Charlie Kirk, the father of her two young children — after he was assassinated in 2025. She’s still carrying that loss, still facing harassment. And now she’s right back in it.

Judge Apologizes, Says Alleged Trump Assassin Treated Worse Than Jan. 6 Defendants

"Prosecutor Jocelyn Ballantine argued that Allen needed a suicide watch since “he did not expect to survive the alleged attack.”

. . . "For some reason, though, Farqui decided to bring up the Capitol Hill rioters:

“To me, it’s extremely disturbing that he was put in five-point restraints, a person with no criminal history,” Faruqui said, later adding that Allen is presumed innocent. “It’s troubling. I never heard of one Jan. 6 defendant who was put in five-point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that’s a problem.”

The judge said even Jan. 6 defendants were only house in a Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF), a less restrictive form of prison housing.

“Pardons may erase convictions, but they don’t erase history,” he said. “They were hanging gallows outside.”

“What am I to say to Allen that this is going to be a fair process if we’re putting him in a safe cell when he’s not supposed to be in there?” Faruqui said. “At a minimum I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he’s taken care of. Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to.”

"Did…did Faraqui opine that the Capitol Hill rioters didn’t receive this kind of treatment? That’s how it sounds to me."

Nancy Guthrie update: Savannah Guthrie got wrong info from sister Annie after kidnapping? Ex-detective probes theory

Hindustan Times

"Nancy Guthrie is yet to be found, and ex-detective Chris McDonough explored whether Savannah could trust the information from Annie after Guthrie went missing."

Nancy Guthrie remains to be found after her family reported her missing on February 1. Authorities believe she was taken from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona, the night before.

"While the search for Guthrie continues, former detective Chris McDonough chose to focus on the period after she was reported missing, while discussing the case on his show The Interview Room. The discussion sought to explore whether Guthrie's daughter, TODAY show host, Savannah, had received wrong information from her sister, Annie.

"What was discussed about Savannah and Annie on the show

"One of the speakers on the show pointed out that Savannah had said she'd called the hospitals, while also saying that Annie had called them too. The speaker pointed to the futility of the action, and remarked “Why would Savannah had to call the hospitals again, if Annie had already done that?”.

"Another speaker on the show mentioned “We don't know if any of the information she's providing is accurate.” He added “Where did she receive this information that the wallet was there and the phone was there? What she's stating is merely supposition based on information provided by – we're assuming – Annie."

"He also objected to the use of the word ‘pandemonium’ to describe the situation after Guthrie's disappearance. Yet another speaker on the show cast doubt on how Annie might have remembered the thing. Dr. Gary Brucato, a co-founder of the Cold Case Foundation, spoke about how witnesses often remembered things differently at the crime scene and then again at trial. The person added that when people remembered things they often did so in a much cooler headed manner than how they might have acted at that time. The Cold Case Foundation is ‘dedicated to stopping the deadly compounding effect of cold cases and providing hope and resources to families affected by violent crime’ as per its LinkedIn profile." . . .More...

Jimmy Kimmel and the ‘Left-Wing Culture of Hatred’

 The American Spectator

Democrats’ rhetoric stoking fear and hatred against former President Donald Trump — including repeated comparisons to Adolf Hitler — is coming into a harsh new light following the assassination attempt against him on Saturday.

LateNighter

"Unreal.
"There, in the flesh, in the middle of a standard Washington event — the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner (WHCA) — was what was intended to be a mass murder of U.S. government officials. The Washington Hilton ballroom held not only the president and vice president of the United States but dozens of Cabinet members and members of Congress, not to mention hundreds of journalists. (RELATED: Why Assassins Almost Always Go After Republicans)
"It was by the grace of a higher power that the sole casualty was a mild chest wound to a Secret Service officer who was, thankfully, wearing a bulletproof vest. The immediate audience of Washington politicians and journalists, in chaos, jumped out of chairs, hid under tables, and then raced away.
"This was the third attempt on the life of President Trump. First, of course, was the shooting at a rally in Butler, Penn. Next was a foiled attempt at the Trump golf course. Now comes this attack at the WHCA dinner, which, as noted, is a standard annual glitzy black tie of Washington power brokers in an event held annually in Washington.
"The would-be murderer, captured unharmed, was revealed to be 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California. USA Today reported this of the shooter:
"Allen listed his employment as a teacher in a $25 donation to Kamala Harris in 2024. He is registered to vote in California as “no party preference.”
"His LinkedIn profile indicated he’s been a part-time teacher at C2 Education in Torrance, California. C2 is a national tutoring and college counseling provider.
"Allen posted on LinkedIn he received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2017 and his master’s degree in computer science from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2025. Kathy Svitil, a spokesperson for the California Institute of Technology, confirmed a record of an undergraduate student by the name of Cole Allen who graduated in 2017, but declined to release more information.
"Question? How in the world does somebody get to the point that something like this happens in the first place?
"And the answer, sad as it is, comes that there are too many people on the American left and inside the media and the Democrat Party (but I repeat myself) that have made hatred of President Trump their MO — method of operation. Cheered on by the reality that the media is awash in reports of Democrats — not all but many — verbally smearing the president of the United States with all kinds of disparaging and violence-inviting language." . . . More...

Taxpayer Funded Texas Water Park Announces Muslims Only Day — Quickly Backtracks After Widespread Outrage

  RedState

"After the backlash, the organizer of the event, Aminah Knight, told The Post that she is backtracking on how she is advertising it — “to make it clearer that this is a modest dress-only event centered around celebrating Eid.'”*

"I’m not a lawyer, and I’ve never played one on TV, so I won’t opine on the legal aspects of this story. However, I can give you my layman’s view, which is that this certainly smells rotten.

"To wit, a taxpayer-funded water park is holding a big party on June 1, and they’re going to have food, entertainment, and just good ole American fun. The catch: if you’re not Muslim, you’re not invited. No really.

"Paging Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon!" . . .

. . . "Organizers reportedly quietly changed their messaging as word got out about their plans:

After the backlash, the organizer of the event, Aminah Knight, told The Post that she is backtracking on how she is advertising it — “to make it clearer that this is a modest dress-only event centered around celebrating Eid.”

"The Daily Mail is also reporting on the existence of flyers that said “Muslims only”: . . .

*Given today's women's swimwear that lodges itself into a man's mind, a switch to modesty would be a mental refuge. But how many families have head-to-toe swimwear in their closets.? Other images associated with the above are those we saw that Oct 7th along the Gaza border in Israel that peaceful Muslims are paying a high price for, regrettably. TD

Newsom's Challenge: His Wife's Coastal Contempt Exposed

 Drew Allen

"Gavin Newsom is a smooth operator. Yet no polish can overcome the constant reminder from his closest partner that much of America—and the survival of its president—is viewed with disdain by the coastal elite."

"California Gov. Gavin Newsom is positioning himself with characteristic flair for a national run in 2028, but at least one major obstacle stands in his way: his radical wife.

"Movie-star good looks, smooth delivery, and nearly a decade as California’s governor have made Newsom the early Democrat front-runner. He has spent the Trump years delivering fierce attacks on the administration while dropping hints about the White House.

"Yet, presidential success requires more than style. Candidates need a spouse who humanizes them, softens edges, builds bridges to skeptical voters, and projects steadiness in crisis. America’s most effective first ladies have quietly performed that work.

"Abigail Adams gave candid counsel. Eleanor Roosevelt served as FDR’s eyes and ears. Jackie Kennedy brought grace after tragedy. Dolley Madison showed resolve in 1814: As British troops advanced on Washington, she refused to flee until George Washington’s portrait was cut from its frame and saved. These women often compensated for their husbands’ shortcomings with warmth, courage, and relatability.

"Newsom needs that asset. His California record is elite failure writ large: homelessness exploding, businesses and families fleeing in record numbers, punishing taxes, rolling blackouts, and cities turned into open-air drug markets and tent encampments. These failures repel voters beyond coastal enclaves. His own gilded lifestyle only heightens the detachment. A wife who could connect authentically and show quiet strength would help mask those liabilities.

"Instead, he has Jennifer Siebel Newsom." . . .  More...

Spirit Airlines Shuts Down, First Major Failure of a Major US Airline in Decade

"This is not better for travelers. This is not better for pricing. This is not better for competition.” Secretary Sean Duffy

New Michael Ramirez Cartoons

"Spirit Airlines, known for its ultra-low-cost flights, abruptly halted its operations over the weekend, grounding flights nationwide and leaving passengers stranded and nearly 17,000 workers unemployed.
"Axios reports that the company’s demise after 33 years in business marks the first death of a major US airline in decades and comes after two bankruptcies and a failed attempt to secure a $500 million government bailout.
"Spirit CEO Dave Davis said in a statement, For more than 30 years, Spirit Airlines has played a pioneering role in making travel more accessible and bringing people together while driving affordability across the industry.”
"Davis cited the “sudden and sustained” rise in fuel prices in recent weeks as having left the company no other alternatives but to wind down their operations, noting that, “Sustaining the business required hundreds of millions of additional dollars of liquidity that Spirit simply does not have and could not procure.”
"According to Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Spirit flew about one in 33 domestic miles in the 12-month period ending in February, making it the eighth largest US carrier during the period, just behind Frontier and ahead of SkyWest.
"Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said the airline’s demise can be traced to a proposed merger between JetBlue and Spirit that was blocked by the Biden administration.
Biden-Buttigieg could have prevented Spirit Airlines from shutting down

Kibbutz Nir Oz, devastated on October 7, trains emergency standby squads to secure community

Nir Oz has become a symbol of the tragedy of October 7. Today, the community is trying to recover and a key to recovery is making people feel safe and secure to return and live here.

The Jerusalem Post

Some may find it jarring to watch soldiers running around with rifles, repelling a mock attack. It may bring up traumatic memories.

"Two Israelis, dressed in olive-green uniforms similar to those of soldiers, peer around the side of a beige building. They each hold rifles as they scan for enemies. Then, they advance, keeping to the side of the building until they reach the end of a wall and have to peer around to check their surroundings.
"The two Israelis are members of Kibbutz Nir Oz’s security team, which is known as the Kitat Konenut. They are civilian volunteers who help protect Israeli communities, and they are trained to confront terrorist threats.
"However, on October 7, many of the communities on the Gaza border, such as Nir Oz, found themselves overrun by dozens of terrorists. Of around 400 residents of Nir Oz present at the Kibbutz on October 7, 69 were killed either in the attack or after being taken hostage. A total of 76 people were taken hostage. Nir Oz has since become a symbol of the tragedy of October 7. Today, the community is trying to recover, and a key to recovery is making people feel safe and secure again
"On May 4, the new security team was partaking in a training program run by a group called Magen 48. Ehud Dribben, co-founder of Magen 48, described how his organization is training security teams on the Gaza border and across Israel. He has done this for decades, and Magen 48 is the result of his long background in both security and war.
"'Magen was established to stop the next October 7,” Dribben says. “On October 7, I saw the communities that had security teams that were prepared survived. Those that didn’t were wiped out. My life mission is to train every city, every village, every town in Israel so that, when the next October 7 comes, they will be ready.” . . .  More...

Scott Jennings takes on CNN; The latest conservative star inspires by pushing back twice as hard

  Don Surber

"My guess is he won’t flip because he still lives in Kentucky. And best of all, he is giving almost daily lessons on how to take on liberals and communists by doing your homework and refusing to accept the reality they present."

There will never be another Rush Limbaugh and yet conservatives search for one because we have hope and optimism. We said there would never be another Ronald Reagan but then along came Donald Trump. One of the things he did was get fake conservatives—Bill Kristol, Jonah Goldberg, George Will and the entire cast at National Review—to self-deport.
"Candace Owens was a shooting star who fell in love with numbers and tried to boost her audience by saying nutty things to appear edgy. When that didn’t work, she went nuttier. She now faces a defamation lawsuit for calling the wife of the president of France a man. Never mind that Madam Macron birthed three kids, Owens is sticking to her guns.
"What can I say about Tucker Carlson that you already don’t know? Some men have a career that craters. His Qatar-ed.
"There are others who flamed out but I am too lazy to make a list.
" Scott Jennings, 48, is a radio host who served in the Bush 43 administration. He did such a good job that Democrats hauled him in front of a congressional hearing.
" Jennings helped Mitch McConnell get re-elected in 2014—always a difficulty for the Turtle. Two years later, Jennings’ PAC, Kentuckians for Strong Leadership, helped give Republicans a super majority in that state’s legislature.
CNN signed him up in 2017 as a paid panelist. But only in the past couple of years has he made much of a mark because unlike many conservative foils on these TV panels and in newspaper columns, Jennings fights. He’s the opposite of whatever David French is these days. For example, former Obama staffer Nayyera Haq said Iran really was winning.
HAQ: The meme war and internet propaganda—which is something the Iranians have actually been known for influencing. So they had—for all of our talk on our side of people killed in the regime—they’ve been pushing through multiple channels around the world images of American army generals, military who also lost their jobs at this time. Again, this way looks like the public perception is [that] the United States [isn’t] locked and loaded working in one direction.
JENNINGS: Do you think the Iranians would rather have their entire navy back or their memes?
"He does not enter these little skirmishes lightly. He does his homework. He knows their argument before they make it." . . . More...
