What to Watch for in Tonight's Debate

Political Wire  "David Chalian: "First and foremost, I expect to see an inherent tension within Gingrich on stage. He has had such great success trying to stay above the fray and has made his pledge to promise only positive campaigning. It seems to me that will be in direct conflict with being the frontrunner and the likely target of nearly everyone else on that stage."
"The Fix: "Gingrich's tried and true debate strategy -- ignore the question asked, attack the questioner etc. -- may not play as well (or at all) when he is viewed through the frontrunner lens."
"Jon Karl: "Gingrich expects that in this debate and the ones to follow he will, for the first time, be the piñata, bearing the brunt of the attacks from the other candidates. How will he respond? Gingrich has told his aides he will resist the temptation to counter-attack." "

ABC hosts GOP debate, but hires only Dem lobbyists "The Obama administration, the Clinton administration, then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, then-Sen. Tom Daschle, the Congressional Black Caucus, congressman John Dingell, then-Congressmen Byron Dorgan, Sen. John Kerry, and Sen. Ed Muskie.
"Two things they have in common:"
1) They're all Democrats.
2) Their former staffers are all lobbyists for Disney, the parent company of ABC News, hosting tonight's Republican debate.
