Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman Labels Platner 'Dead Man Walking,' Demands Dem Apologies

 Tampa Free Press

“The woman that had the courage to come forward is identified as a progressive. She said he raped me and came in my home without consent,” Fetterman said

"Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman denounced Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner during a Monday night interview on Fox News, calling the candidate a “dead man walking” politically following serious sexual assault allegations. Fetterman, who appeared on “The Ingraham Angle,” also demanded that Sen. Bernie Sanders and other Democrats who previously endorsed or supported Platner offer apologies to the victims.

"The discussion centered on recent claims brought against Platner, including a sexual assault allegation from a woman who gave an interview to Jake Tapper. Fetterman stated that he refuses to overlook the allegations, comparing the situation to that of Eric Swalwell, the California Democrat who ended his gubernatorial campaign earlier this year after facing similar scrutiny.

"When asked by host Laura Ingraham about the Democratic Party’s willingness to overlook past allegations against Platner—including reports of aggressive behavior and social media posts—Fetterman responded directly.

“Yeah. I refuse to overlook that,” Fetterman said. “But honestly, I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone. He helped him elect—now apologize to the victims, especially the woman that claimed that he raped her.” . . . More...

Platner Proves Dems Will Put Up With Anything, Except Losing – Issues & Insights   "For all the moral preening about Donald Trump’s character flaws, Democrats have shown in the past few months that there is no character flaw too great for them to endorse a candidate. Except one.

"For today’s Democrats, It’s OK to be a communist. To sport a Nazi tattoo. Or to be a serial abuser of women.

Did you call on people to assassinate your opponent? No problem. Lie under oath? So what. Recently suffer a debilitating stroke? Don’t worry, we’ll all look the other way.

There is one and only one thing that Democrats cannot abide. And that’s being unelectable. (Well, two things, actually. As Sen. John Fetterman has shown, Democrats don’t care if your brain is scrambled, but they won’t abide you having an independent mind, since they are now, after ignoring Fetterman’s mental trauma during the campaign, trying to oust him for not toeing the party line.) . . .More...

BEYOND PARODY: Candidate Maine Leftists Want to Replace Graham Platner With Has Allegations Against HIM TOO  . . . "One name that has been floated is Troy Jackson, a far left Maine Democrat who also ran for governor of the state.

"There’s just one problem. There are allegations of assault against a woman by Troy Jackson too. You could not make this up." . . .

Transgender Sports Bans Upheld By Supreme Court

"The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that state bans on transgender women in school sports are lawful, a landmark decision that marks the 6-3 conservative court's latest erosion of LGBTQ rights."

Transgender Sports Bans Upheld By Supreme Court   "The Supreme Court ruled laws that restrict school sports based on biological sex are lawful, with the court’s three liberal justices both agreeing and dissenting with parts of the opinion.
The court considered two cases on state laws in Idaho and West Virginia that restricted transgender girls and women from participating in female sports in public schools, including universities, and whether such state laws more broadly violate the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause.
The laws outlaw biological males from participating on student sports teams that are “designated for females, women, or girls,” blocking transgender women from being on those teams.
The court ruled the laws do not violate the Equal Protection Clause because they “do not classify based on gender identity or transgender status, but instead on the basis of biological sex,” and rule across the board no biological male may play on a women’s team, regardless of their gender identity." . . .  More...

Former Trump hater Michael Rapaport says Oct 7, Israeli hostage situation changed his view of the president: ‘I think it’s great to admit when you were wrong’

  The Post Millennial

"After Oct. 7, I realized the magnitude and scope of the hostage situation," he said. "I knew that the only chance would be Trump."

"Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport has said that the October 7 attacks on Israel fundamentally changed his view of President Donald Trump, explaining why he no longer uses the personal insults that once defined his criticism of the president."After Oct. 7, I realized the magnitude and scope of the hostage situation," he said. "I knew that the only chance would be Trump." He said that was enough for him to stop making personal attacks on the president. "Why I don't insult him now, and I could insult him and I could be derogatory towards him, is because for me, simply getting the hostages home was enough for me to not be disrespectful." . . .

Manhattan skyscraper verges on collapse as support columns buckle, surrounding buildings evacuated

 The Post Millennial

"Officials created a “frozen zone” covering 40th through 45th Streets between First and Third Avenues and urged residents and workers to stay away. "I want to encourage New Yorkers to avoid the area,” Mamdani said."

"A Midtown Manhattan building undergoing a massive apartment conversion remained unstable and at risk of collapsing Tuesday afternoon after officials discovered structural issues inside the property, with Mayor Zohran Mamdani warning New Yorkers to avoid the area.

"Emergency crews responded shortly before 8 am to 235 East 42nd Street after reports of falling bricks near the former Pfizer headquarters, which is being transformed into a residential complex with more than 1,600 apartments.

"The Fire Department said two interior support columns were buckling and several upper floors were sagging. A safety manager also reported that a steel beam on the 21st floor had been compromised, according to Department of Buildings records.

Mamdani said the situation was still changing as officials worked to stabilize the structure. “Since arriving on scene, we have witnessed additional movement in one of the compromised columns,” Mamdani said, according to The New York Times. “This is a minute by minute assessment.”

Officials created a “frozen zone” covering 40th through 45th Streets between First and Third Avenues and urged residents and workers to stay away. "I want to encourage New Yorkers to avoid the area,” Mamdani said.

"Construction workers were evacuated from the building, along with several nearby properties and a private school with roughly 400 students. Fire officials said no injuries were reported and all workers were accounted for.

The developer, Metro Loft, said it was working with the Buildings Department to “understand the full scope of the situation.” . . .

The Myth: “The Towers Shouldn’t Have Collapsed” - This Week in Science   . . . "The truth is that the towers were designed to withstand the impact, not the fire. In fact, the engineers modeled a Boeing 707 hitting the towers. And they were right: the impact alone didn’t bring them down. What no one accounted for was the hours of uncontrolled fire, fueled by jet fuel and debris, that stripped away insulation and cooked the steel from the inside.

"In other words, the towers held up exactly as designed until the fire made it impossible to hold them up." . . .

"On the March 29, 2007 episode of The View, Rosie O’Donnell made a statement that has since been widely cited and debated: “I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that… it is physically impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center tower 7… steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.”
