Joe Manchin saved the Republic...from Democrats

 Don Surber

. . . But Congress won't, so Manchin made a good argument that Democrats should not run roughshod over Senate rules, disable the filibuster, and pass an 800-page federal takeover of elections without a single Republican supporter. . .

"This weekend, Joe Manchin showed he is not all about Joe.

"This weekend, Joe Manchin said no to his party's No. 1 legislative goal. This weekend, he became a Profile in Courage, which is when a senator stands up to the mob and does the right thing.

He penned a column in the Sunday paper in Charleston, West Virginia, "Why I'm voting against the For the People Act."

"Although we elect congressmen and senators directly, ours is not a democracy. America is a constitutional republic, which is why an Electoral College selects our president.

"The proposed Democrat voting act would federalize all elections in violation of the Tenth Amendment, which states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

"If Congress had power over elections, it would have lowered the voting age to 18 by a simple vote. Instead, Congress needed the approval of 38 states to make the 26th Amendment the law of the land.

"However, Manchin does not make the 10th Amendment argument against federalizing the elections. He merely wants Republicans and Democrats to find common ground.

"In his column, Manchin wrote, "During my time as West Virginia’s secretary of state, I was determined to protect this right and ensure our elections are fair, accessible and secure. Not to benefit my party but all the people of West Virginia. For example, as secretary of state I took specific actions to establish early voting for the first time in West Virginia in order to provide expanded options for those whose work or family schedule made it difficult for them to vote on Election Day. Throughout my tenure in politics, I have been guided by this simple philosophy — our party labels can’t prevent us from doing what is right.' ". . .

Now it's America the silly

 Ane they still vote Democrat!

Biden Administration ‘Unleashing Criminals’ Into US Amid Migrant Surge…

 Weasel Zippers

"As if Biden cares."

Top Retired Officers Are Right: Biden’s Leftism And ‘Woke’ Military Threaten U.S. Security

Issues & Insights "Military officials are trained to stand silently on the sidelines of politics,

saying nothing but what relates to their mission, whatever it might be. But a recent open letter signed by 124 former flag-level officers warning of the dangerous effects of our nation’s sharp sudden turn to the left overturns that tradition. What do they know that the rest of us don’t?

"The letter was not couched in military jargon or bureaucratese; it was plain-spoken and blunt in its concern about America’s course. It starts with a call for protecting our free and fair elections, but then turns toward the ominous political and cultural trends of recent years. No need for a translation:

Aside from the election, the current administration has launched a full-blown assault on our constitutional rights in a dictatorial manner, bypassing Congress, with more than 50 executive orders quickly signed, many reversing the previous administration’s effective policies and regulations. Moreover, population control actions such as excessive lockdowns, school and business closures, and, most alarming, censorship of written and verbal expression are all direct assaults on our fundamental rights. We must support and hold accountable politicians who will act to counter socialism, Marxism, and Progressivism, support our constitutional republic, and insist on fiscally responsible governing while focusing on all Americans, especially the middle class, not special interest or extremist groups which are used to divide us into warring factions.

"They warned about the negative trends in a number of areas, ranging from our increasingly open borders and social media exercising control over speech, to Joe Biden’s return to the fatally flawed Iran nuclear deal and the failure to protect the rule of law." . . .

"The letter somberly noted that “our country has taken a hard left turn toward socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical government which must be countered now by electing congressional and presidential candidates who will always act to defend our constitutional republic. The survival of our nation and its cherished freedoms, liberty, and historic values are at stake.' ”. . . Full article

Hate to break it to you, but Major League Baseball just got even worse

The most galling aspect of all this is that it implies that your typical baseball fan is part George Wallace and part Robert Byrd, who were proud Democrat racists.  I'd venture to say I've been in attendance at more MLB games than Commissioner Manfred in my lifetime, and MLB's supposition that its fan base is racist and needs a Maoist re-education is outlandish.

American Thinker  "Major League Baseball has gone from a Field of Dreams to a dystopic Field of Nightmares.

"Coming off the All-Star Game P.R. debacle, where they moved the game out of Atlanta, MLB is upping its radical chic several notches with its latest political advocacy.

"On the anniversary of George Floyd's death, MLB highlighted its social justice initiatives, which are a series of suggested readings, video viewings, and social justice activities that it recommends people do.  Nothing like giving your customers a homework assignment.  And they wonder why people find baseball less fun these days.

"As you can imagine, the suggestions they give are real humdingers.  For instance, they advise we read Dr. Ibrahim X Kendi.  Kendi is a totalitarian utopist who is popular on the P.C. lecture circuit.  He believes that capitalism is inherently racist and advocates for a Department of Anti-Racism.

"What would the DOA do? you might ask.

"In his own words, they would "be responsible for preclearing all local, state and federal public policies to ensure they won't yield racial inequity, monitor those policies, investigate private racist policies when racial inequity surfaces, and monitor public officials for expressions of racist ideas.  The DOA would be empowered with disciplinary tools to wield over and against policymakers and public officials who do not voluntarily change their racist policy and ideas."  So much for the land of the free.  The DOA would also be empowered to investigate private businesses and monitor speech.  Best of all, DOA officials couldn't be fired, not even by the president." . . .

Media at its worst

CNN Executive Admits Pushing 'Propaganda' about Matt Gaetz: 'He's Bad for Democrats'  "A CNN executive has admitted in an undercover sting that the far-left "news" network is pushing "propaganda" to smear Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) because he's a "problem for the Democratic Party."

"CNN's technical director Charles Chester unwittingly told an undercover journalist that the network routinely pushes "propaganda" as part of an "agenda" to hurt Republicans and help Democrats.

CNN has given Gaetz's political woes plenty of coverage, particularly on "Cuomo Prime Time" where anchor Chris Cuomo has been reporting on the latest developments extensively while avoiding the growing scandals plaguing his older brother, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. For his part, Andrew Cuomo has had nine women come forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct. . . .

Our Legacy Corporate Media Is Full of Liars and Propagandists

The collapse of the narrative on the Wuhan virus lab-leak theory ought to be the final straw for these people.. . .

"And what was that narrative?

"That the lab-leak theory was nuttery. It was a conspiracy theory. It was a racist lie.

"And why? Because President Trump, who had access to more information on the subject than most people thanks to his job, correctly identified the lab-leak theory as the most likely explanation for COVID-19’s release into the public.

"Now, the legacy corporate media who suppressed that theory for a year have abandoned their efforts and are beginning to catch up to the members of the general public capable of logical analysis. And their explanation for having suppressed it all this time?" . . .

"You Think? Lemon Wonders If CNN ‘Overinflates’ QAnon, Election Conspiracy Theorists in GOP"

"Lemon was discussing with co-hosts Brianna Keilar and John Berman how the media should cover both President Trump and fringe conspiracy theorists within the GOP such as those who follow QAnon. Having his own Captain Obvious moment, Lemon wondered if CNN spent too much time obsessing over the former president, and election conspiracy theorists within the extremes of the Republican Party:" . . . (Emphases in original)

"Facebook also targeted Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) and more than 100 other elected officials who voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election. The company will reportedly no longer provide political donations to the elected officials in what appears to be another distasteful attempt at punishing anyone aligned with Trump." . . .

Five Days After Attack, Andy Ngo Releases Statement Confirming He Was Chased and Beaten in Portland

Pray fervently for the safety of Andy Ngo

Willamette Week

Ngo closed his statement with an appeal to Portland’s police and other journalists for support. Like CNN and MSNBC?

"After five days of total media silence, right-wing author Andy Ngo confirmed he was the man who some of Portland’s leftist marchers chased and beat until he took shelter in The Nines hotel May 28.

"In a thread on Twitter and a statement released to WW, Ngo gave his account of the assault, which occurred when demonstrators recognized him in disguise at a rally on the one-year anniversary of this city’s George Floyd protest.

“I was chased, attacked and beaten by a masked mob, baying for my blood,” Ngo wrote. “Had I not been able to shelter wounded and bleeding inside a hotel while they beat the doors and windows like animals, there is no doubt in my mind I would not be here today.”

"Ngo’s account lines up with much of what WW reported that night. Though Ngo’s identity was unconfirmed, approximately 10 people split off from the larger protest to follow Ngo and question him about his identity. They chased Ngo for blocks before tackling him and punching him several times after his head hit the brick sidewalk of Southwest Morrison Street.

"After Ngo broke free from the people hitting him, he fled to the high-end hotel near Pioneer Courthouse Square, where his pursuers tried to wrest open the front doors and called for him to meet them outside. An image on his social media thread tonight shows bruises, cuts and a bloodied eye. He says he went to the hospital shortly after the attack.

Even Non-Chauvinists Can Realize Derek Chauvin Was Denied Full Justice; was justice really the goal in the first place?

But if George Floyd somehow elicited a measure of my sympathy for the way he was subdued, so does Derek Chauvin elicit mountains of my sympathy for the way he was tried. He did not get a full measure of justice." . . .

American Spectator The Government has asked the Minnesota court that convicted Derek Chauvin to lock him up for the next 30 years. The judge will announce the verdict on June 25.

"I am no Chauvinist. Whatever side Derek Chauvin is on in the world of law enforcement, that is not mine. Yes, I am satisfied that he did not kill George Floyd. The science is settled. I also am satisfied that George Floyd was a social miscreant who made our world and country just a little bit less wonderful than they would have been without him. George Floyd — Say His Name! — was a druggie with all sorts of forbidden controlled substances in his bloodstream. He once held up a Black woman and stuck a pistol into her pregnant tummy, threatening to murder her. He had a long rap sheet. He was not rehabilitated. Apparently, his last known active act was passing counterfeit bills while pumped up with illegal substances, and his last passive act was refusing to comply with simple police instructions to get into the car. As recounted objectively in Wikipedia in pertinent part:

Between 1997 and 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms on various charges, including drug possession, theft, and trespass…. In 2007, Floyd faced charges for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; according to investigators, he had entered an apartment by impersonating a water department worker and barging in with five other men, then held a pistol to a woman’s stomach and searched for items to steal. Floyd was arrested three months later during a traffic stop and a 7-year-old victim of the robbery identified him from a photo array. In 2009, he was sentenced to five years in prison as part of a plea deal and was paroled in January 2013.

"This is an icon? I feel pity for those conned into idolizing heroes who offer little to adulate. Consider those who foolishly identify and associate with the racistanti-Semitic Black Supremacist group that cynically calls itself “Black Lives Matter.” Of course Black lives matter! That is a major reason that 110,000 Union soldiers gave their lives on the Civil War battlefields, and 360,000 Northerners in all died for Black freedom. Black lives matter very, very much. They matter every weekend night in Chicago, too. They matter everywhere that a Black person exists. Likewise, White lives matter — just as much. So do Arab Muslim lives, Jewish lives, Christian lives. How tragic that kids who grew up learning about President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation and about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. now must watch their grandchildren, enrolled in Critical Ethnic Studies public school curricula, instead being taught that President Lincoln was a racist, Rev. Dr. King an “Oreo,” and the real heroes for children to emulate are Al Sharpton, Michael Brown of Ferguson, and George Floyd of Minnesota." . . .

The Unmasking of Dr. Anthony Fauci

  Ron Wright

Funny how the truth will out! The wrath of We the People that have been lied to and whose civil rights were violated by the whim of politicians for political gain by these false narratives will crush Big Tech, the Media, Deep State, and our elected that are complicit and or corrupt.  I predict other false narratives will be exposed

. . .  "Since Wade’s article was published in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists last month, a tsunami drowned the lies of our media and those who aided and abetted in propagating these lies. No longer can this cabal maintain control of the narrative.  Dr. Fauci’s almost deity-like shroud was torn asunder.  It’s been my professional experience that crooks can’t keep their stories or lies straight. What caught my attention was Dr. Fauci’s duplicity on whether masks should be worn or not.  Common sense says face masks provide little if any protection from COVID-19 because of the size of the virus particles.  Even Dr. Fauci's emails exposed he didn’t believe mask-wearing would do any good.

"Dr. Fauci was playing with fire in his dogged pursuit and support of – gain of function (GOF) virus research.  Is the risk of the creation of potential pandemic pathogens (PPO) and accidental release into the wild worth the benefit rather than safer alternatives?   This does not address the dual-purpose issue of GOF for bioweapons by malevolent actors.  GOF is a two-edged sword, one good the other bad. Dr. Fauci was played as a fool by the Communist Chinese Party (CCP) in thinking this research was for the good of mankind. When in fact the CCP was most likely doing bioweapon research under the guise of civilian white coats.  See this piece in Legal Insurrection re the Chinese unique fingerprints,  “ . . . "Chinese scientists reverse-engineered versions of the virus to cover up their tracks after the pandemic began.”. . .

The above article provides several related sources, some of which are included below:

UK Daily Mail: Study Claims Chinese Scientists Bioengineered Coronavirus

. . . What caught my attention was Dr. Fauci’s duplicity on whether masks should be worn or not.  Common sense says face masks provide little if any protection from COVID-19 because of the size of the virus particles.  Even Dr. Fauci's emails exposed he didn’t believe mask-wearing would do any good." . . ..

What IS "gain-of-function" anyway?

. . . Gain of function research "is employed with the intention of better understanding current and future pandemics.[3] In vaccine development, gain-of-function research is conducted in the hope of gaining a head start on a virus and being able to develop a vaccine or therapeutic before it emerges.[3] The term "gain of function" is sometimes applied more narrowly to refer to "research which could enable a pandemic-potential pathogen to replicate more quickly or cause more harm in humans or other closely-related mammals."[4][5]"

“Gain-of-function” is the euphemism for biological research aimed at increasing the virulence and lethality of pathogens and viruses. GoF research is government funded; its focus is on enhancing the pathogens’ ability to infect different species and to increase their deadly impact as airborne pathogens and viruses.

  • Fauci and the CDC Will Never Tell Us if COVID-19 Was Man-made "Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been questions about whether the virus originated in the Wuhan Virology Institute in China rather than a “wet market” where the meat of animals like the horseshoe bat is sold to consumers. Not only were these questions not answered but anyone asking them was scorned, ridiculed, and even banned from social media platforms for even asking.

"Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram had all joined Facebook in taking active measures to ban, suppress any questions about the possibility that COVID-19 was a lab experiment gone wrong. It was the stuff of crackpot conspiracy theorists.  The mainstream media carried that message along for them.

"After banning them for over a year, Facebook recently lifted a ban on posts that claimed COVID-19 was man-made. This change followed on the heels of an announcement by President Biden calling the intelligence community for a report on the origins of the virus. This directive is itself a reversal. Previously, President Biden had stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) should be advising the world on the origins of COVID-19." . . .

  • Propaganda at Its Best: Chinese claim US Army started the coronavirus  "Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, posted on Twitter that the U.S. Army could have brought the COVID-19, or coronavirus, to China and that the virus may not have originated in Wuhan as previously thought." . . .

  • If CNN and MSNBC like this story, I posit the the theory will be taught on campuses to young skulls full of mush who will riot and burn as a result.

Tackling the rumors about Trump heading to the White House in August

If one applies this theory to the Constitution's rules for election, which are nothing more than an agreement between the government and the people, and if the various election audits show that fraudulent elections led several states to certify Biden as the winner, one doesn't need a "Reinstatement Clause" in the Constitution to right the wrong done to America. . . .

Andrea Widberg  "Maggie Haberman, one of the New York Times journalists most affected by Trump Derangement Syndrome, tweeted on Tuesday that Donald Trump "has been telling a number of people he's in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August."  Because Haberman doesn't have the best reputation for reliability, many people discounted her statement.  However, Charles C.W. Cooke, who writes for the fanatically NeverTrump National Review, confirmed that his sources agree with her sources:

I can attest, from speaking to an array of different sources, that Donald Trump does indeed believe quite genuinely that he — along with former senators David Perdue and Martha McSally — will be "reinstated" to office this summer after "audits" of the 2020 elections in Arizona, Georgia, and a handful of other states have been completed. I can attest, too, that Trump is trying hard to recruit journalists, politicians, and other influential figures to promulgate this belief — not as a fundraising tool or an infantile bit of trolling or a trial balloon, but as a fact.

"Wow!  That sounds scary.  (And I'll have more on what Cooke writes in a minute.)  However, someone who likely talked to Trump himself, rather than talking to people who talked to other people, says this is all nonsense:

Lara Trump said Thursday that people are getting 'worked up' over nothing and her father-in-law does not actually expect to be reinstated as president in August — despite reports stating otherwise.

'As far as I know, there are no plans for Donald Trump to be in the White House in August. Maybe there's something I don't know,' Lara told the Fox & Friends panel Thursday morning. . . .
