"A 104-slide PowerPoint presentation echoed a number of left-leaning talking points that have surfaced in trainings across the country. Titled "Supporting Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming Students" the presentation argued that "everyone has multiple, overlapping identities" and that sex is assigned at birth.

" 'Gender & sex are socially constructed, meaning they've been created and enforced by the people in a society," one slide from the presentation reads. The notes claim that "the concepts of Gender and Sex are actually not rooted in biology. Instead, they are socially constructed, which means they have been created and enforced by people in a society.". . .

The complaint alleges that, among other things, two teachers and the school's principal, Katelyn Pagaran, engaged in a conspiracy that resulted in the daughter's "extreme emotional distress." It also claims the officials engaged in negligence and violated a California law designed to guarantee due process to parents in raising their children.

Justice Breyer's Retirement May Not Be All Bad News for Conservatives | National Review

The New York Times reports that Justice Breyer intends to retire from the Supreme Court at the end of this term. If President Biden can pick a nominee who is palatable to the 50 senators who caucus with his party, he will be able to replace Breyer fairly quickly. Despite the fact that this will mean swapping Breyer for a younger non-originalist justice (not great, Bob!), I can think of at least four reasons that this is better news for conservatives than it might at first seem.
