Andrea Widburg: Why is Joe Biden really skipping Charles III’s coronation?

Why is Joe Biden really skipping Charles III’s coronation? - American Thinker

Also, no one can forget Biden’s performance in England in 2021 for the G7 Summit. He got lost in a restaurant, and the other leaders were laughing at him. That was two years ago. Biden’s gotten much loopier since then. There’s no way he can survive the rigors of being a coronation guest.

"Joe Biden will almost certainly not attend the coronation of King Charles III. The official reason is that he is making a trip to Ireland that simply can’t be canceled. The media have focused on two reasons he won’t be there: (1) Eisenhower didn’t attend so there’s no tradition for presidents to attend, and (2) Biden hates the British. I think there are two more likely reasons: (1) Charles III’s coronation is an event without cachet, and (2) it’s impossible for Biden to withstand the rigors of the long coronation ceremony and any pre- and post-ceremony events. Indeed, my money is on the last reason being the real reason.

"The top-line story is straightforward:

It is unlikely President Joe Biden will attend King Charles’ coronation in May, a source said.

A source told the Telegraph that it was ‘unlikely’ that Biden, 80, would attend the May 6 coronation as he is expected to make a trip to Ireland for the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement just a few weeks prior.

"So a trip to Ireland weeks before the coronation prevents Biden from attending the first British coronation in 70 years. Does that sound likely?

"Several papers reporting on Biden’s probable absence have noted that General Eisenhower did not attend Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in June 1953. This theory is that American presidents don’t attend British coronations. Maybe, yes; maybe, no.". . .

General Michael Flynn is finally suing for the wrongs against him

Andrea Widburg  "One of the most despicable things the Deep State did during the Trump era was its persecution of General Michael Flynn. Finally, though, Flynn is pushing back, having filed a claim for $50,000,000 against the United States of America for malicious prosecution and abuse of process.

What happened to Flynn, which was the first act in the Russia hoax, was an utter travesty. His phone calls were illegally unmasked, he was immorally inveigled without an attorney into a conversation with unprincipled FBI agents, his words during both the phone call and the FBI interview were twisted out of their obvious meaning so that the government prosecuted him relentlessly based upon nothing, his cowardly attorneys gave him harmful advice, and a biased, unprincipled judge did everything he could to keep the Justice Department from making things right by finally dismissing the lawsuit. What Flynn experienced was an American combination of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables and Franz Kafka’s The Trial.

TransWomen Are Con Men

#TransWomenAreConMen goes viral after Hershey allows a man to take the place of a woman - American Thinker

#BoycottHersheys Campaign Goes Viral, Company Accused of Erasing Women (americanpigeon.org)

"Hershey Canada’s International Women’s Day campaign was met with ire and criticism after the company decided to include Fae Johnstone, a transgender woman, on chocolate bar wrappers with four women. Johnstone is a professional LGBTQ+ advocate and award-winning activist, according to Forbes. In response, #BoycottHersheys began to trend on Twitter.

"Johnstone, who goes by “they/she,” is Canada’s 2019 Youth Award winner. He is described as “a nonbinary and transfeminine educator, organizer, writer and trouble-maker based on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin Territory (Ottawa, ON).”

“ 'As a 25 year old trans woman of South Asian heritage with lived experience,” Johnstone writes, “my work comes from a place of understanding that my communities (trans/2-spirit/gender non-conforming, sex-working and/or drug-using) are at the highest risk of violence.”

"Two-spirit refers to the Native American term meaning “third gender.' ”. . .

Delaware Literally Lowers The Bar To Increase Racial Diversity Of Lawyers, Judges

 The Daily Wire

'The bar exam is not supposed to be a barrier...'

. . ."To translate that, it sounds as if Durante thinks that “white people” at large need to continue to adapt to woke ideology and bow at the altar of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

"Despite claims that the standards are still high, it does in fact change them, which automatically means less qualified candidates will be admitted to practice law in Delaware. Changes such as reduced clerkships and minimum legal proceedings will mean that new attorneys will have less experience.                                                        "If finances are what preclude qualified minorities from applying to the state bar, why not just focus on making those more affordable either via upfront reduction, scholarships, or grants? That would open the bar exam to all lower-income individuals — not just those of certain races, as Durante made clear was the goal.                   "There are two ways of immediately increasing racial diversity based on immutable demographics: One is blatant discrimination, which is illegal though it is oft attempted by the Left. The other is lowering standards so that there are more “winners” — so to speak.                                                                                                                            "Of course, in both cases, the final product — or in this case the quality of attorneys — is weakened because immutable characteristics rather than merit are prioritized. In the end, it will be the clients depending upon their attorneys to win in court who will suffer as the Delaware Bar exam sacrifices quality for DEI.". .

Hershey’s feels the heat over candy wrapper featuring trans woman for International Women’s Day

BPR  Hershey’s Canada’s woke “Her for She” campaign debuted an ad on Wednesday in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8 that features on its candy bar wrapper transgender woman Fae Johnstone, a queer, trans and feminist activist who is also a “2SLGBTQUIA+ Advocate.”

The move set Twitter on fire with users blasting Hershey’s over the ad campaign. Many thought it was obscene to use a transgender woman to represent a pro-female celebration.

"The short clip shows Johnstone posing with the limited-edition candy bar. She provides a voiceover attempting to explain the lame and offensive inclusivity initiative.

" 'My name is Fae Johnstone, I’m the executive director of ‘Wisdom to Action.’ We can create a world where everyone is able to live in public space as their honest and authentic selves,” Johnstone declared.". . .

It “means a lot to be included, as a young(ish?) trans woman,” Johnstone tweeted. “I grew up with few trans role models. Many young trans folks haven’t met a trans adult. I hope this campaign shows trans girls they can dream big and change the world too.”

Now Equestrian Helmets Are (You Guessed It) Racist –

  PJ Media

We want justice!

"The New York Times, that intrepid warrior for anything and everything that the Left is hysterical about, on Friday published a lengthy piece about a source of systemic racism that no one has ever noticed before: It seems that equestrian helmets are racist because they don’t accommodate the dreadlocks that some black horse riders wear. One black rider’s mother lamented: “Mostly everything in this sport isn’t designed for us.” Well, that’s got to change, and these Jackie Robinsons of the Coiffure, with the Times’ generous help, are leading the way to the Equestrian Helmet Justice that our society so desperately needs.

"Chanel Robbins, the Times tells us solemnly, “has been riding horses most of her life, ever since her grandmother traded a cow from their family’s farm in Ontario for a pony when she was 7.” Horse riding “offered an escape from thoughts that weighed on her,” which included the fact that “she was the only Black girl in the neighborhood.” But when she grew dreadlocks, her helmet didn’t fit anymore, and that, as you must know by now, is racist.

"Fighting back tears (really, the Times actually said she was), Robbins said: “I finally freaking feel like myself, and now society is asking me to change. I just want to be able to ride.” How dare Whitey do this! Is there nothing to which he will not stoop? Poor Chanel Robbins can only find relief on the back of a horse from the systemic racism that confronts her every hour in Amerikkka, but now Whitey has taken even that away!. . ."

Please make it end!

Murdaugh’s Political Contributions Include Max Donations to Biden, Clinton

Murdaugh’s Political Contributions Include Max Donations to Biden, Clinton (breitbart.com)

However, Charleston-based Republican consultant Michael Mule told Fox News that Murdaugh “knew how to play the political game,” highlighting his contributions to Democrat and Republican politicians in South Carolina.

"Disgraced former South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh and his family members have given hundreds of thousands of dollars in political contributions over the years, including to top Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden.

"The Murdaugh family has long been influential in South Carolina’s political and legal realms. However, Murdaugh on Thursday was convicted by a South Carolina jury for the double murder of his wife and son."

Paris Hilton reveals she had an abortion to condemn pro-life laws

Paris Hilton reveals she had an abortion to condemn pro-life laws (& other stories) | The Bridgehead  "At The Critic, Sebastian Milbank has a sobering essay titled “The end of Christendom,” in which he looks at the tandem threat of persecution against Christians outside the West and the slow, steady erosion of religious liberty within the West. An excerpt:

"With no refuge or well of power and influence with which to draw on, Christians are becoming further endangered across the globe. Christian refugees will find no special welcome in the secular West. Christian churches in exile may find their beliefs again denounced and legally persecuted by Western societies. The great influence and rhetoric that helped win freedom for the Christian peoples of the Balkans is unlikely to be available for Christians now persecuted worldwide.

. . .To defend abortion in the wake of Roe v. Wade’s fall, Paris Hilton has publicly stated that she had an abortion when she was in her early twenties because she “was a kid.” She wasn’t, of course—and the actual kid was killed. Children pay the price for our ambitions. . .

Hawley blasts Garland over FBI raid on pro-lifer’s home -

American Thinker   "Sen. Josh Hawley blasted Attorney General Merrick Garland over the FBI raid on a pro-life activist’s home, and asked whether the Department of Justice (DOJ) had an “anti-Catholic bias.”

“ "Our department protects all religions, all ideologies. It does not have any bias against any religion of any kind," Garland said during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

"Hawley then labeled the DOJ as an agency that attacks Catholics while “turning a blind eye” to crime in American cities.

“ 'Your answer frankly surprises me,” Hawley added.

"In September 2020, Mark Houck, a pro-life activist and author from Pennsylvania, was arrested in front of his wife and seven children after dozens of FBI agents showed up on his lawn, carrying long guns and shields.

"In 2020, on Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, recounted the event:

My entire front yard, you could barely see it, it was covered with at least 15 big trucks and cars. There were 20, 25, 30, men, women, completely in jackets with shields and helmets and guns. They were behind cars. It was something I would never expect to see on my front lawn[.] . . .

The "Woke" never rest

 John Kennedy:

James Bond Novels To Get Woke Rewrite…  "Ian Fleming’s famed sexist super spy James Bond is getting the 2023 sensitivity treatment. According to the Sunday Telegraph, the Bond books are getting a rewrite. The editors? Sensitivity experts expunging a number of racial reference’s ahead of the character’s 70th anniversary."

Dems lecture Americans on wokeness, then abandon our values abroad (nypost.com)

. . .Defense and State are supposed to defend and promote American values around the world, but mainly they’re engaged in internal trolling, lecturing Americans about our alleged moral deficiencies and shouting out propagandistic far-left buzzwords.

"Sen. Tom Cotton, who served in the infantry in both Iraq and Afghanistan, noted this summer that he has received hundreds of complaints about ideological inculcation in the military. “One Marine told us that a military history training session was replaced with mandatory training on police brutality, white privilege, and systemic racism,” Cotton told Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. “Another servicemember told us that their unit was required to read ‘White Fragility’ by Robin DiAngelo which claims, and this is a quote, ‘white people raised in Western society are conditioned into a white supremacist world view.’ ”

"West Point cadets are being forced to attend classes on “Whiteness and white rage,” as though the soldier’s mission is not to protect the country from external threats but to search his own soul for microaggressions and cultural appropriation.". . .

Teacher GONE WILD

Merrick Garland says those attacking pro-life centers too ‘clever’ for FBI: ‘They work at night’

"Attorney General Merrick Garland says those attacking pro-life centers too 'clever' for FBI: 'They work at night' - Washington Times "Attorney General Merrick Garland said Wednesday that he has deployed the FBI to track down those responsible for attacking crisis pregnancy centers but the agency has been stymied by “clever” criminals who do their work at night.
"In heated testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Mr. Garland defended his department’s fulsome prosecutions of protesters at abortion clinics and insisted he would deliver the same treatment to those who firebomb or vandalize Catholic churches and pro-life centers — if the FBI could find them.
“If you have any information specifically as to who those people are, we would be glad to have that,” Mr. Garland said.

“ 'That’s your job,” responded Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee Republican.

"Republican senators repeatedly pressed the attorney general on what they said was a striking disparity between prosecutions in pro-life and pro-choice attacks.

"They were incredulous at his explanation that the FBI has come up empty.

"Ms. Blackburn pointed to an attack on a pregnancy center in Tennessee where a pro-choice group, Jane’s Revenge, took credit.". . .

Report: FBI Was Against Mar-a-Lago Raid, Argued With DOJ Prosecutors (legalinsurrection.com)  "I’m so old, I remember when leaks to The Washington Post and other NeverTrump media about the Mar-a-Lago raid (but don’t call it a “raid”) were all negative to Donald Trump – nuclear secrets blah blah blah, no choice but to send 20+ FBI agents because of the risk of the documents falling into foreign hands, etc.

"Oh, how times have changed. Now that it turns out Joe Biden had classified documents dating back to his Senate days in multiple locations, and FBI searches were arranged without a show of force, and even Mike Pence got caught Sandy-Bergering stuff, well, now maybe that raid was a tad unnecessary. That’s the gist of a leak to WaPo, Showdown before the raid: FBI agents and prosecutors argued over Trump. Notice, WaPo used the R word (raid):.

Naturally, the Whoopster has an opinion:

"Months of disputes between Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents over how best to try to recover classified documents from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and residence led to a tense showdown near the end of July last year, according to four people familiar with the discussions.. . .Sara Haines attacks the intelligence of Biden critics, saying "anyone with any amount of brain cells knows these are not completely equivalent purely because of the volume" of documents. pic.twitter.com/VpxY9xtPBo— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) January 12, 2023
