Reading list on the Democrat convention

Neal Boortz says, Y'all Need to Cheer Me Up "But I did try to read [Obama's] speech.  It was agonizing.  Excuses and promises.  Nothing more.  Golly, this has been hard, but I promise to do better, though I can’t tell you how that’s going to happen.
"It didn’t take but about 10 paragraphs of Obama’s speech before the glaring hypocrisy started to shine through."...

Democratic platform abandons pro-Israel positions on borders, refugees, Hamas "The Democratic convention in Charlotte, N.C., adopted a platform that turns its back on three Israeli existential imperatives - on dealing with Palestinian terrorism, on achieving secure and recognized borders, and on preventing a flood of Palestinians from swamping the Jewish state."
This is not Harry Truman's Democrat Party.

Ten Things I Learned From the Democrat Convention  "A lot of breath was expended at the DNC appealing to young people, my generation, the Millennials -- the same lamentable group about to inherit more than $200 trillion in total unpaid debts. No self-respecting young person can vote for a party that stubbornly, categorically refuses to acknowledge the coming tidal wave.
"But, of course, many of them will. They always do."

The Charlatans of Charlotte   "The lies told about Ryan and Medicare were alone enough to disqualify the Dems for re-election."

Michael Barone; Magic of 2008 Eludes Obama After Flat Convention  "The delegates roared again and again at endorsements of access to contraceptives (actually, free contraceptives), same-sex marriage and non-deportation of young illegal immigrants who meet certain conditions. Requiring picture identification at the polls was described as similar to beating up blacks trying to vote 50 years ago."

Jay Cost; Did Obama Really Win the Summer?   "For starters, when we are talking about historical perspective, really the only poll that has been in constant, regular operation is the Gallup poll, where Romney and Obama were basically trading leads for months prior to the convention."
