Full Disclosure? CNN Anchor Who’ll Interview Hillary Recently Attended Clinton Aide’s Wedding

Mediaite    "So here’s an interesting factoid for those interested in tracking the incessant D.C.-centric co-mingling of journalists and politicians: Brianna Keilar, the CNN reporter who’ll perform the first sit-down interview with Hillary Clinton, recently attended the wedding of the Democratic candidate’s grassroots director.

"During the wedding of Adam Parkhomenko (Clinton’s current Director of Grassroots Engagement) and Kirby Hoag (Ready for Hillary’s deputy operations director), a former staffer tweeted a photograph of the journalists in attendance. Keilar, who will interview Clinton on Tuesday, is second from the right:

Communists Don’t Like Him? NY Times Gives Rubio Candidacy More Help

Jonathan S. Tobin  "Do the publishers of the New York Times secretly want Marco Rubio to be elected president? The answer to that question is, of course not. The left-wing and partisan Democratic slant of the Grey Lady’s news coverage (not to mention its equally biased and partisan editorial page) in recent years places Rubio squarely in the category of a candidate the paper wishes to stop at all costs. Hence, the series of background stories about Cruz that bore the unmistakable trademarks of hit pieces intended to chip away at his image. But unfortunately for the Times, their previous stories on Rubio— which focused on the speeding tickets he and his wife had received or the fishing boat that was wrongly labeled a “luxury speed boat” — generated an unintended reaction. It wasn’t just that the tickets reinforced his youthful image. The focus on trivial charges was viewed as biased journalism that generated sympathy for the Rubio candidacy among Republicans and seemed to validate his status as a candidate liberals feared." . . . This southern boy explains the Confederate Flag Issue perfectly

"Something has been weighing pretty heavily on me the past few days. I have had a few small discussions on the issue, but haven’t gotten too far into it. I wanted to share this, not for attention, but because I thought it needed to be done.

"It’s no big secret to my friends that I love to hunt, fish, camp and do pretty much anything outdoors. I have always considered myself to be a country boy stuck in the city. One of the ways that I used to show pride for my lifestyle was wearing t-shirts with the Confederate/ Rebel flag on them. In high school, I even had a bumper sticker on my truck that read “Keep It Flying”. I had grown up seeing the flag regularly, and although I had seen it used in negative ways on occasion, I chose to accept the “Heritage not Hate” and “Pride not Prejudice” interpretation of the flag. If you had asked me back then, I would’ve told you that it was a symbol of southern pride and had nothing to do with racism.

"I was raised pretty close to downtown Nashville and grew up with kids of all races with all kinds of backgrounds. I played baseball, basketball and football on teams where sometimes whites were minorities. I am very thankful for this. As I continue to grow and learn, I realize that we tend to fear things just because we don’t understand them. Because of where and how I was raised, I never feared people of other color or background. I was able to realize that we are all the same underneath. I have had white friends, black friends, Asian friends, Middle Eastern friends, Latino friends, Christian friends, Muslim friends, Atheist friends, etc. Thankfully, I have never had a racist bone in my body."

Arab allies looking anywhere but to America for friendship

The world grows more and more dangerous around us with our allies splitting from a cowardly America and this President concerns himself with rainbow lighting, Confederate flags and importing Democrats

. . . "That’s a total reversal of one of the Cold War’s major coups, when, almost overnight, the Soviet-dependent Egyptian army turned to US-made planes and tanks in the late 1970s.

"Cairo also switched allegiances. After Washington brokered an Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, the most populous Arab country turned into a trusted American ally.

"And now we’re beginning to see a reversal. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi suspects that the United States no longer has his back, so he’s turning east.

"At least Sisi has some memories of being part of the Soviet bloc. The Saudis don’t.

"Riyadh has depended on American protection for more than half a century, returning the favor by guaranteeing relative stability in global energy markets (except for a spell during the Carter years).

"Yet now the Saudis, too, are seeking Russia’s friendship." . . .  Via Jammie Wearing Fools

Is there nobody in media, politics and academia that is sick of this man's nimcompoopery?

Obama on ISIS: “Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas”  . . . "This is the sort of thing you say when you’re trying to break it to people that victory in the new war won’t come soon, and may not come ever. It’s the foreign policy equivalent of another of Obama’s favorite sayings, the old leftist bromide about being on “the wrong side of history”: The enemy’s backwardness is plain and our moral superiority is obvious, so ultimate triumph is assured even in the teeth of immediate defeat. All I could think of while watching this was those photos you see online sometimes of Afghanistan or Iran circa 1960, with all the women in blouses and skirts, and photos of the same two countries today, with women in head coverings or even full burqas. Better ideas don’t always win. Especially if they’re defended by weak leadership.". . .

"However superior our ideas might be, O’s strategy, like it or not, is to run out the clock until 2017 and leave it to the next poor schmuck to figure something out with ISIS."

And this feckless man will make speeches ridiculing the next administration, blaming him - or her - for ruining the stable climate he "passed on".
We saw how Obama has treated President Bush all these years and can predict the man's future actions by his well-documented character.  TD

Don’t like Hillary’s press pen? Blame the media.

"On Saturday, the internet exploded after Hillary Clinton’s campaign lasso’d reporters covering an Independence Day parade into an actual, mobile pen. It was a terrible visual for the Clinton machine, and as Aleister pointed out yesterday, revealed yet another crack in the facade hiding an operation that is barely holding itself together.

"Yesterday’s State of the Union panel roundly lampooned the entire disaster, but it was S.E. Cupp who stood up and pointed out what many of our commenters have been saying for some time now—this is the media’s fault.

. . . "Finally, a visual aid to accompany the cold hard fact that  Hillary Clinton’s handlers are terrified of the media.  Whether it’s her or her people making these decisions is irrelevant; what matters is that the media hasn’t done its job with regards to this particular candidate." . . .

Video of black race rioters brutally beating white man at July 4 gathering taken down by YouTube

Thomas Lifson "According to a video posted to the Facebook account of QbabyOfTeamQ, a white man attending a July 4 concert in Fountain Square, the heart of downtown Cincinnati, was beaten bloody and unconscious.  Unfortunately, I am not able to embed the video because YouTube has taken it down, with a notice: “This video has been taken down as a violation of YouTube’s policy on shocking and disgusting content.”

. . .
"However, you can still view the video (for now) at the QBaby Facebook account.  Shocking and disgusting, indeed.
Kristinn Taylor of Gateway Pundit, who first publicized the video, provides some description:
The white man was beaten unconscious following a hip hop and electronica Fourth of July concert.
The video shows a mostly Black crowd gathered around the white male victim laid out on the sidewalk. A few are trying to help the unconscious man while others squeal in awe at the blood covering his head.
Many onlookers are laughing.

Examiner.com Fires Christian Pastor, Says Content Not a Good Fit

Caffeinated Thoughts shawn-mathis"Shawn Mathis has written over 300 articles in six years for Examiner.com as a “Christian Perspectives Examiner.”  On Wednesday he was fired.  In an email Mathis tells Caffeinated Thoughts, he was told, “”We appreciate the time, effort and consideration you put into this work, but we feel that your content is not the right fit for Examiner.com at this time.”

"Mathis was surprised by the email.  “Yesterday they had promoted me as a reliable news-source. My hits were going up the last few days. Bing cycled two of my articles on their news-feed. I have been a faithful writer for six years with not one complaint,” Mathis said on his Facebook profile.

"What changed?  Mathis said the firing came after his last five articles centered on the gay marriage debate." . . .

Mathis' last article, which was just before his firing:

 Gay Marriage White House Lit
Reparations: The Next Liberal Thing?    "The level of overreaction in this country seems to have reached a fever pitch since the killing of nine black people in Charleston, SC by a highly disturbed young man.  First the calls for banning the Confederate flag began, followed by calls for the removal of statuary of anyone having anything to do with the Confederacy.  Louis Farrakhan has called for banning the American flag, and Malik Shabazz, the head of the New Black Panthers, has called for the killing of "slave masters."  The logical progression would seem to be that there will again be legislation introduced in Congress for reparations to be paid to black people for the enslavement of their ancestors."

“We’re here. We’re polygamists. Get used to it” . . . " Professor Martha Nussbaum of the University of Chicago, who argued in 2009 that polygamy must be allowed for the same reasons as same-sex marriage, as we detailed in “Polygamy would have to be permitted”." .

The Obama Administration Has Become Iran’s Attorney

Once it became news that the Iranians cheated on the conversion, the Obama administration went to work retroactively rewriting the deal on Iran’s behalf.
With great fanfare last week the State Department reported that Iran had complied with that key condition of the interim agreement, significantly reducing its stockpile of enriched uranium – an accurate statement as long as one ignores Iran’s violations. Along with some of the people interviewed by Reuters, a leading non-proliferation think tank is bashing the Administration for trying to sweep the violations under the rug.

. . . "Some may say reports of Iranian violations are just a “neocon” effort to question the administration’s policy of sitting down with Iran, or that they should agree to separating the issues of Iranian state sponsorship of terrorism and holding of American prisoners from the talks. Nonsense. Even those who support the talks must realize that what we are seeing here is that the president is so desperate for a deal that he will wish away Iranian malfeasance and risk a nuclear conflagration that has the potential to kill millions here in the United States and throughout the world."
