The gift that keeps on giving. With a Greta Thunberg bonus.

Bill Ponton

"The joy that the new Trump administration has given to me has not yet abated. Last week, Tulsi Gabbard testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee in which a slack-jawed, dumb-founded Sen. Angus King of Maine noted that the 2025 annual threat assessment by the U.S. intelligence community made no mention of climate change.  Tulsi responded by saying, “I can’t speak to the decisions made previously, but this annual threat assessment has been focused very directly on the threats that we deem most critical to the United States and our national security.” In short, the intelligence service is now focusing on real threats, not ones manufactured by the climate industrial complex.

"King responded with a laundry list of problems that climate change was causing such as “mass migration, famine, dislocation, and political violence”.  Tulsi did not take the bait. She might easily have noted that the former administration’s open invitation to the world, not climate change, caused tens of millions of refugees to resettle here, but she instead let King keep going on like a porkchop about extreme weather, heat waves, droughts, floods, wildfires, and storms of Biblical proportions. Tulsi then calmly responded that the annual threat assessment only focused on real threats, (not the imaginary fears of a bedwetter like the Senator).

"An enraged Angus demanded to know if Gabbard gave explicit instructions to the authors of the report to not include climate change, and Gabbard replied, “I don’t recall giving that instruction.”  Tulsi, you are doing great!"

New Greta Thunberg Thermostat Scowls At You When You Turn The Heat Up

Need to be told this is parody?

"Google, the makers of the Nest™ thermostat that totally does not track your every movement and thought, has partnered with climate activist Greta Thunberg to make a thermostat that scowls at you when you attempt to turn the heat up.
"The Greta Thunberg Thermostat™ also emits an audible, "How dare you" if it hears you emit dangerous methane into the atmosphere in the form of a fart.
"The Greta Thunberg Thermostat™ is predicted to fly off the shelves of stores that are currently unable to carry less important items like baby formula and children's vitamins. Popular features of the new thermostat sure to be a hit among climate-informed users include:
"A backlit screen that displays the names of people who will probably die because you bumped it from 63º to 64º in mid-January." . . . More...

Absolutely Wild Details About How Democrats Covered Up Biden's Decline Reveal a Historic Scandal

Bonchie; RedState

"The biggest presidential scandal in modern history occurred, and it's being treated like a normal news story. It makes you wonder what they'll try to get away with next.

. . ."Meanwhile, the former president was so far gone at the time that they had to use an on-demand make-up artist to make him appear somewhat alive for Zoom calls. I'm feeling just a bit vindicated as I write this."

"Still, there was one person who remained "a thousand percent" behind Biden's re-election bid: Jill Biden.

First lady Jill Biden was “a thousand percent” behind it.

“At the end of the day, I don’t think anyone in that inner circle was presenting the president any contrary advice that this thing is not going to be easy or maybe this is not the best thing for the Democratic Party,” they said.

"That won't surprise anyone who followed her tenure as First Lady. To say she was ambitious and seemed to revel in living the high life on the taxpayer's dime would be an understatement. She wasn't the only one, though. Several of Biden's top advisors were also doing everything they could to hold onto power. It's a cliche, but this was "Weekend at Bernie's" going on in the White House, with the former president's entire inner circle lying to the American people for personal gain. It wasn't until Biden's historically bad debate performance that the dam finally broke." . . .

The Joe Biden ‘Now They Tell Us’ Phenomenon

Biden Shatters Democrats’ Sacred Norms To Turn Pardons Into ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ Cards     . . ."If nothing else, I never want to hear a Democrat talk about “the norms,” “decency,” and how “no one is above the law” ever again. This isn’t about them failing to live up to their own professed principles. They never held them to begin with, and they’re only showing it now because they lost the 2024 election to a man they swore was Hitler."

Biden Frees Al-Qaeda Terrorist Who Had ‘Foreknowledge of 9/11’

. . ."What is the AP, which has a history of complicity with Islamic terrorist groups, and other media organizations hiding? The fact that even after the New Orleans Islamic terrorist attack, the Democrats and their media allies will not stop aiding, abetting and freeing Islamic terrorists."

Now that Biden is safely out of office, an entire new genre of “I told you so” books has sprung into existence from authors who never told us so.

. . .“Well aware”? Really?

"Because back here in Minnesota, we were told just the opposite, by some of America’s highest-ranking Democratic officials,

  • “Fit for office” according to Gov. Tim Walz on July 3, 2024
  • “He’s up for this job” says U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Feb. 18, 2024
  • “At the very top of his game, all the way through it, both in private and in person.” comments by U.S. Sen. Tina Smith on Feb. 9, 2024" . . .

"Mostly Peaceful", But Genuinely Stupid Protests by the Left

 Hot Air

There's other forms of protests underway by a bunch of disturbed people who have the added benefit of being moronic enough to record their violent incitements. That is such an extra assist to an otherwise busy law enforcement community.

"Protests used to be really something in America. Back in the anti-war 70s, college kids and young adults were protesting continued U.S. involvement in Vietnam, and it was effective enough to alter the direction of the country. Those same hippies are now grandparents and great-grandparents, if they're still alive. You might guess that a lot of their grandkids are the ones protesting Elon Musk and Tesla, Donald Trump, ICE, and whatever else they think is wrong. But that doesn't seem to be the case most of the time. Many are foreign nationals here on a student visa. A lot of them are paid protesters.

"At Republican Congresscritter town halls all over the country, rooms are filled with people funded and Astroturfed in by left-wing advocacy groups. In Wisconsin over the weekend, Elon and a few Trump cabinet members appeared in their personal capacities to get out the vote in the Wisconsin Supreme Court battle between Republican Judge Brad Schimel and Dane County leftist Judge Susan Crawford. Musk offered two different $1 million dollars prizes for people that attended the rally. Wisconsin's Democratic Attorney General, Josh Kaul, sued to keep that from happening, but the courts did not give him the relief he sought, and the giveaway ensued. When the protesters at the rally began disrupting, Musk noted that it was inevitable that the George Soros contingent would be present.

"While a lot of the talent from the Trump get out of the vote effort in 2024 have become cheeseheads the last couple of weeks to drive up turnout, Democrats in the Badger state chose a different way of protesting - by running over Schimel yard signs before losing control of their car."

"Mostly peaceful"? Well, there IS this: Fire at Tesla dealership near Rome destroys 17 cars

. . ."The fire comes after a string of reports across Italy in recent weeks of Tesla vehicles being vandalized and defaced, with anti-Elon Musk and anti-Donald Trump sentiments written with spray paint." . . .

. . ."Another car dealership burned down in northern Rome a week ago, destroying 30 cars, including used Teslas. That fire was initially blamed on an electrical fault, but an investigation is underway." . . .

How to Prosecute the Tesla Bombers; The states should step in.

 Kyle Shideler

For conservatives, denouncing “domestic terrorism” on social media may be emotionally satisfying. But the real goal—holding these criminals to account, disrupting their networks, and forcing the Left to address the terroristic nature of such behavior—can be better served by state-level prosecutions.

John Russo toon added by TD

"Last week, the New York Post reported that “DOGEQUEST,” an anonymous website, had published a partial list of Tesla owners’ names, addresses, and phone numbers. The site, since deleted, featured a Molotov cocktail image as a cursor, and a map of supposed Tesla owners and “DOGE landmarks.”

"Tesla CEO Elon Musk described the doxxing site as an example of “extreme domestic terrorism;” the White House agreed. In the Department of Justice’s press release announcing charges against three suspected Tesla arsonists, Attorney General Pam Bondi warned would-be criminals, “if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”

"Musk and the White House agree that those targeting Tesla are committing domestic terrorism. And to most normal people that seems obvious. But with its intricacies, federal terrorism law may not be the best tool to hold them accountable. Instead, states should take the lead and enforce their own laws against the Tesla arsonists

"The DOJ has so far indicted three suspects for destroying, or trying to destroy, Tesla property. Each faces arson-related charges and is accused of using Molotov cocktails in the commission of his crime.

"The three alleged crimes were connected with a coordinated campaign against Musk and Tesla. In February, The Hill reported that “Democratic activists” were “planning a protest campaign” against Musk, which would be held “outside offices of lawmakers and Tesla dealerships.” One element of this effort  was the “Tesla Takedown,” a nominally “peaceful protest” against “Musk’s illegal coup.” The Takedown was co-sponsored by the Troublemakers, a Seattle-based “community” focused on “direct action,” and The Disruption Project, a group “dedicated to supporting uprisings, resistance and mass direct action.”

"This campaign may have contributed to the three criminal incidents charged by DOJ. But are these crimes domestic terrorism, as defined under federal law?

"On the one hand, the statutory definition of domestic terrorism seems to say so:

activities that— (A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State; (B) appear to be intended— (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

"Since federal law defines a Molotov cocktail as a weapon of mass destruction, the case for the defendants’ actions meeting this definition seems relatively straightforward. Progressives will claim that setting fire to an unoccupied vehicle is not “dangerous to human life.” But the DOJ could reasonably argue that carrying and throwing firebombs imperils people’s lives." . . .

"I'm not worried about whether I would be protected or not at said institution. I'm, you know, Privileged White Woman..."

 Ann Althouse

"Real American said...and by "protesters" she means Hamas supporters who vandalize and destroy University property, illegally occupy community spaces and buildings, and terrorize Jewish students and faculty." Comment to the below.

Maxine would agree but not thank her. TD

"Nothing more privileged than choosing to do nothing. She's just doing nothing for a year. But that's okay. She's "not really in a rush."

"I wonder which institution "said institution" was. It would help in understanding how much of a sacrifice this is. In some cases, an ambitious person, who can afford to take a year off, could do things to bolster her credentials and gain access to a more prestigious school. Why, this public declining of an offer is itself a credential! Especially in some fields... so I have to wonder what she majored in, undergrad. Sociology? I looked it up. It was indeed sociology! And a minor in women’s gender and sexuality studies.
"So, great viral video. Great audition tape.
"I remember when feminism involved seeing woman as the victim, but now we see young women contemptuous of that viewpoint and not worried about whether I would be protected. "

How Greenpeace’s Pipeline Protests Ultimately Led It To The Brink Of Bankruptcy –

 EXCLUSIVE: IJR

"Specifically, activists linked to or trained by Greenpeace-paid protesters would cut wires, put sand in the gas tanks of various machines, vandalize equipment by painting over windows and more, Cox said. In effect, the hardline protesters would do “anything that they could do to stop the construction of this pipeline.' ”

Rich Terrell

"Greenpeace’s 2016 and 2017 protest campaign against Energy Transfer’s Dakota Access Pipeline was one of the group’s most celebrated and popular initiatives. Nine years later, that very crusade has brought the legacy green group to its knees.

"A North Dakota jury ruled March 19 that Greenpeace is liable for $667 million in damages payable to Energy Transfer, the developer of the Dakota Access Pipeline and target of the group’s organized activism in 2016 and 2017. Led by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP’s Trey Cox, Energy Transfer has Greenpeace on the verge of having to shutter its U.S. operations thanks to the protests that supporters once hailed as a heroic stand against the oil industry and the first Trump administration, as Cox explained to the DCNF.

"A number of prominent officials and figures lined up behind the anti-pipeline activists as they disrupted construction, lending credibility and cover to the movement. Among them were the Democratic Socialists of America, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, the late Arizona Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva as well as former Democratic Hawaii Rep. — and current Director of National Intelligence — Tulsi Gabbard, among others.

" ‘Anything That They Could’

"For starters, Cox said that Greenpeace’s branding of its involvement in the demonstrations as “indigenous-led” was misleading because the group brought in paid indigenous activists from outside North Dakota to participate in actions against the pipeline’s construction.

“ 'Greenpeace says they did this in solidarity with the indigenous tribe and that it was indigenous-led, but the tribe there is the Standing Rock Sioux. Greenpeace didn’t do anything with the Standing Rock Sioux,” Cox said. “Instead, they paid indigenous professional protesters from California and from Canada and from other locations to come. They flew them there. They paid them. They gave them a stipend to organize and train and teach people how to cause more problems and create more delay for the pipeline.” . . .

  • Node two has multiple maintenance work areas (MWAs) that act as “work benches” for astronauts.

  • 2 Crew quarters

The crew quarters are one of the only places in the ISS where an astronaut may have a little bit of personal space. They house sleeping bags, laptops, and personal items for each crew member.

  • 3 Racks

Research racks facilitate experiments in systematic combustion, fluid physics, materials, microgravity, observational Earth science, and biological and life sciences, among others.4 U.S. Lab robotic workstation

  • The US lab robotic workstation is one of the workstations that can be used to control the Canadarm2. Also, since the ISS orbits the globe every 90 minutes, many of the work stations on the ISS also have a “world map” software that shows where the ISS is in relation to the earth.

  • 5 CEVIS

The Cycle Ergometer with Vibration Isolation and Stabilization System (CEVIS) is primarily used for cardiovascular conditioning, and has foot straps for the astronaut to hold themselves in place.

  • 6 Eating

Food on the ISS consists of items that can provide necessary nutrition while also easily and safely stored. Items can include drink mixes, irradiated meat, granola bars, freeze dried foods, tortillas, and condiments.

  • 7 COLBERT

The Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill (COLBERT) can provide 1 g-like forces on the lower body. Astronauts strap themselves in with bungee cords.

  • 8 Restroom & hygiene area

The restroom uses a suction system to pull waste and smells into a plastic bag and container. The air used for the suction is recycled through the ECLSS and reused in the station. “Showering” is accomplished with soap, water, and a towel to wipe down with. Other hygiene basics like brushing teeth are done here as well.

  • 9 ECLSS

The Environment Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) consists of hardware to control carbon dioxide, contaminants, oxygen generation, water, human waste, nitrogen storage, oxygen storage, temperature, and humidity. The hardware is distributed throughout the entire station.

  • 10 Cupola

The Cupola has 7 windows total and houses the largest window in space at 31 in (80 cm) across. It allows the crew to conduct experiments, observe the Earth, or assist in docking operations and spacewalks.

Why George Soros and Democrats have gone all-in on this week’s Wisconsin court race

NY Post

"Let’s hope this time will be different. Republicans and conservative voters cannot sit this one out. This election is not just about the Wisconsin Supreme Court. It’s about all of us."

Soros donated $1 million directly to Crawford’s campaign before the race
 received its current publicity.

"All eyes are on the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, where liberals currently hold a 4-3 majority. On Tuesday, voters will choose between a conservative judge, Brad Schimel, and a liberal judge, Susan Crawford, to fill a vacancy and possibly flip the court to conservative control.

"What difference does it make? A lot — and not just in Wisconsin.

"If liberals retain control, it is likely that the court will unwind the public sector union reforms enacted when Scott Walker was governor, something high on labor unions’ wish list for the past decade. Issues such as abortion are also on the agenda.

"Voters gave Republicans an 18-15 majority in the Wisconsin Senate and a 54-45 majority in the Wisconsin Assembly. Yet a liberal Supreme Court bench would spell disaster for any Republican initiatives.

"This is a classic Soros tactic: to identify an election that few people are paying attention to but which embodies a weakness in society that can be exploited for other purposes.

"Remember Soros funded the election of soft-on-crime prosecutors around the country who’ve destroyed many large cities to advance the left-wing agenda. Soros even donated to a group backing New York City’s own Alvin Bragg, who did the left’s dirty work in prosecuting Trump." . . .

USDA paid to study queer farmers, Latinx masculinity, more on taxpayer dime. "Latinx"? Still?

The Center Square

“In many cases, programs funded by the Biden administration focused on DEI initiatives that are contrary to the values of millions of American taxpayers,” USDA added."
Family Farms, 1880s -1930s | Santa Paula, CA

"U.S. taxpayers have shelled out tens of thousands of dollars in recent years to the U.S. Department of Agriculture for research on LGBT issues, the kind of funding now under scrutiny by the Trump administration.

"The research relies on conducting interviews – in one case for $373 per Zoom call – to explore a researcher's hypothesis of widespread discrimination.

"For instance, one taxpayer-funded research grant studied “queer farmers quality of life in Pennsylvania,” federal records show, one of several grants of its kind.

"The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Projects – a federally funded research arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture – paid $14,997 for the 2018 grant.

"While this grant is relatively small, there are others, and critics argue the spending is a distraction from helping farmers and lowering food prices, which soared during the Biden administration alongside this kind of research funding.

"The aforementioned 2018 queer farmers grant went to Pennsylvania State University for a project titled: “Sexuality and Sustainable Agriculture: Examining Queer Farmers' Quality of Life in Pennsylvania.”

"The grant proposal says the topic is “woefully understudied.”

"“The deeply entrenched assumption of heteronormativity in farming has excluded queer farmers from full inclusion and benefits from agriculture, even within sustainable agriculture,” the grant’s proposal abstract said.

"The graduate student who assisted with the project, Michaela Hoffelmeyer, presented the findings to the Rural Sociological Society Annual Meeting in Richmond, Virginia.

"Her research highlighted some of the challenges faced by queer farmers, reporting that "findings suggest that transgender, non-binary, and women farmers faced additional hurdles" but create support networks to overcome those challenges.

"Hoffelmeyer has since gone on to join the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, where she has become a voice in the media and public policy on LGBT issues." . . .

The Babylon Bee proves California is not beyond Parody as it is

Lego Introduces ‘California Home’ Set Where Kids Fill Out Permit And Wait 2 Years For Approval

"LEGOLAND, CA — Representatives from LEGO gathered at Legoland in San Diego to unveil a new series of building sets called ‘California Home' that requires kids to fill out building permits and wait two years before starting construction.
" 'We are thrilled to announce the new ‘California Home' edition of our popular Lego building sets," Lego representative Nancy Snyder said while speaking to a group of Legoland attendees. "Kids will love applying for permits, getting denied, waiting two years, doing environmental studies, and then hoping their approved permits don't need any amending before then can get to work on construction of the sets!"
"The new boxes will contain all the necessary paperwork to begin filing permits for building construction, as well as a chuckling government employee who will laugh at the children's misfortune.
"If kids start building their sets before the permits are approved, representatives from the California government will come to their houses, confiscate their bricks, and throw the kids in jail," Snyder said. "We can't wait to see how much fun families have with this process!"
"At publishing time, Lego announced it would also be releasing a new "California Homeless Encampment" series where builders can construct tent cities and open-air drug markets out of bricks."
