Arrests and Accountability Week in Education

 Legal Insurrection

"This week, we saw that the ground has begun to shift. It feels like the public is done with this.

Some schools still don’t get what’s happening.

Harvard seems clueless.

Getting results!

Of course…

Good for him.

This has been obvious from the start."

Poll: 59% of Palestinians in West Bank Say October 7 Massacre Was ‘Correct Decision’  "Most Palestinians in West Bank support mass-murder, rape and kidnapping of innocent Israelis by Hamas-led terrorists on October 7, 2023, a latest poll shows." . . .

The riot wasn't Columbia's worst news on Wednesday

“The State Department will be revoking ANY visa they’re here in, and ICE will make the arrest. “This ain’t the Biden regime any longer!”

"Supporters of the rape, murder and kidnapping by Hamas of 1,400 Israelis and foreigners on October 7, 2023, took over the library of Columbia University on Wednesday.

"At 3:55 PM, Nick Sortor tweeted, “Masked anti-Israel protestors just BROKE INTO Columbia University’s library.

" 'WHERE IS NYPD?

" 'If the city and university don’t want to control this crap, THE FEDS MUST STEP IN!”

"At 4:44 PM, he tweeted, “Authorities are BLOCKING Palestine protestors who broke into the Columbia University library from leaving without showing their IDs

“ ‘Show your ID or you will be arrested for TRESPASSING!’

" 'A LOT of visas are about to be revoked.”

"At 6:10 PM, he tweeted, “Palestine protestors are now PLEADING to be let out of the Columbia University which they invaded, as officials BLOCK them from leaving without ID https://x.com/ScooterCasterNY/status/1920231500902985747/video/1

 ‘Please, please let us out!’

“Those who REFUSE to provide ID are being arrested on the spot. THIS is how it’s done!”

"At 6:33 PM, he tweeted, “Protestors are now being ARRESTED for blocking the entrance to the MAGA Gala in Manhattan

How Radical Islam and the Progressive Left Seek to Undermine America

Frontpage Magazine

"Islamist extremists do not believe in freedom or equality. They view progressive allies not as partners, but as useful idiots to be used and discarded once their objectives have been achieved."

“This American empire must fall”

"This statement did not come from Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from Vladimir Putin of Russia, or from China’s Xi Jinping. It came from a Muslim American resident of Dearborn, Michigan, who added: “People are willing to fight and put their lives on the line to bring these Western empires down.”

"It is a chilling reminder that calls for the destruction of America and Western civilization are not limited to distant regimes. These ideas are now echoed within our own communities, on college campuses, on online platforms, and through nonprofit organizations.

"Following the violent protests and encampments that claimed to target Israel, many Americans began to understand the deeper truth. Radical Islam is no longer just an external danger. It has embedded itself within our institutions and aligned itself with elements of the far-left in a calculated attempt to weaken and undermine America from within.

"This partnership, often referred to as the “Red-Green Axis,” is not a loose affiliation. It is a coordinated movement. Radical Islamists, cloaked in the legitimacy granted by progressive activists, are advancing a deliberate campaign to undermine American values. They are not merely promoting criticism or protest, but are engaged in an ideological form of jihad, designed to destabilize our legal, educational, cultural, and political systems.

"History tells us how this story will end" . . .

. . . "At Columbia University, one professor described the October 7 Hamas massacre as a triumph for Palestinian resistance. That professor continues to receive government-backed funding." . . .

Tesla Terror Attacks Show Americans Aren’t Buying the Left’s Fake ‘Grassroots’ Game Anymore

The American Spectator

The Tesla riots caused extensive damage across the world, but ultimately served as a rallying call to Americans who are tired of watching their country burn. There is no place for political violence in America, and it’s about time Americans take a stand.

"In recent history, the radical Left has mastered the art of illusion. They conjure up so-called “grassroots” groups to protest any idea they deem problematic while using a shady network of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to slap an organic and community-driven shine on every idea.

"But in reality, they’re professionally manufactured, lavishly funded, and tightly controlled by the same network of left-wing billionaires and political operatives we have known about for years. With the Tesla “protests,” Americans are finally seeing behind the curtain — and it’s all because the playbook hasn’t changed since the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots of 2020, which themselves were an outgrowth of the Occupy Wall Street movement, which grew out of prior communist movements, and on and on. (RELATED: Tesla Protestors Are Left-Crazies, Not Liberals)

"The mask is slipping, and the country is waking up.

"Over the past two months, over 100 coordinated attacks have devastated Tesla dealerships and charging stations across the United States and Europe. The damage exceeds a staggering $20 million in property losses and over $460 billion in market cap for investors. (RELATED: Who’s Paying the Tesla Attack Terror Bills?)

. . ."In the same way that BLM was sold as a grassroots cry for justice in 2020, only to spiral into nationwide riots that cost over $1 billion, the current wave of anti-Tesla violence is being marketed as “non-violent.” But behind the scenes, we see the same tactics of the anti-American groups we have tracked for years: Tides Advocacy, ActBlue, Soros’s Open Society Foundations, the Democracy Alliance, and many others." . . .

Cornell students raise thousands for pro-Palestine concert after school drops anti-Zionist singer

Patrick McDonald '26 | Michigan Correspondent

"Earlier in April, the Trump administration suspended $1 billion in funding to Cornell University in the midst of ongoing investigations into anti-Semitism at the school."

"Anti-Israel students at Cornell University have raised thousands of dollars for a pro-Palestine concert following the school’s cancellation of a concert featuring a vocal critic of Israel.
"The students created the concert following the cancellation of an anti-Israel singer, Kehlani, at the main event run by the school, as reported by The Algemeiner. Students from Cornell and nearby Ithaca College have raised $5,000 toward the pro-Palestine event.
"The replacement concert, entitled “Community Slope Day,” has a page on Instagram that advertises it as “a benefit concert for Palestine,” and links to a GoFundMe to help sponsor the event; it is currently scheduled for Wednesday.
" '13 days after announcing Kehlani as the 2025 Slope Day Headliner, Cornell University and President Michael Kotlikoff rescinded her invitation to perform,” the GoFundMe page states. “Today, we are raising these funds to create a grassroots, Community Slope Day for the students and Ithacans who felt represented by her presence.”
“ 'All donations to this fund will go towards an alternative live performance and other logistical support,” the page continues. “Any unclaimed and unused funds will be donated to help the people of Palestine.”
"Campus Reform reported about Cornell’s initial decision to hire Kehlani, who has repeatedly critiqued Israel. “No one should feel comfortable or safe until Zionism is extinguished,” she has stated.
"The school’s initial reaction to the media coverage about Kehlani was that it did not know about her anti-Israel statements, and that it was “too late” to secure another performer.
" 'We found out about the social media of this performer roughly three weeks ago,” Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff said in response. “It’s too late to secure another performer that will be acceptable or appropriate for Slope Day.”. . .

He won numerous awards, including four national championships. . . .

Former Columbia president says during deposition she doesn't remember students calling for Israel's destruction ... "Campus Reform has reported that Armstrong resigned from her position in the Columbia administration after repeated incidents of anti-Semitic conduct rocked the school’s Morningside Heights campus." . . .

That awful statue

I've seen this woman many times, screaming through a bullhorn with a chanting crowd behind her. If a statue of some black woman not affecting history but showing the beautiful examples of uplifting black women, how about Condoleezza Rice, Harris Faulkner, But not the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Letitia James, Maxine Waters, Fani Willis, and thenever-angry Michelle Obama, Jasmine Crockett and pretty much remaining seated at the right side during any SOTU address. TD

Broc Smith

Big Tish and the Monuments of Mediocrity   . . ."This hunk of metal showcases Leftism at its finest. And who better to honor the worst citizens of America: big Black Leftist women.
"How do I know the statue is about Leftist Black women? Because conservative Black women don’t need statues.
"Conservative Black women are confident about themselves and prefer to be measured on merit, not mocked as false idols made of bronze and bad decisions.
"That time has passed, as MAGA replaced it. Rolling out this two-ton lift version of “blackness” represents virtue signaling by Leftists. Why Black women? Why not a big Latina? Or how about a statue of Stacey Abrams riding a donkey with Fani Willis holding the reins? Call it The Charge of the Woke Brigade.
"What is this statue supposed to represent? All women? Black Women Matter versus All Women Matter? I swear, if it’s supposed to symbolize empowerment, then so did the Hindenburg." . . .
. . ."They have little respect for themselves, which is why they act a fool publicly and privately. No serious male will have them, thus they choose weak men; and I use the term “men” loosely.

"Leftist Black women will sleep with whatever hard up slimeball is willing to pay a cell phone bill or fix her car now and then. Worse, she will mistake these gestures as “love”, and thus she will produce a child with such vermin. Call it Planned Misparenthood.

"The offspring of Black Leftist women fill the jails. Sadly, their children commit crimes on the mothers and daughters whose skin matches their own. And if you speak on this issue, it is Black Leftist women who will defend their miscreants with all the fervor of a mama bear.

Big Tish represents an anachronism—a relic of Leftism that worked a decade ago.

Down Tom, up some woman
. . . "As for the woman herself, I’d rather have the Statue of Liberty than whoever that statue is supposed to represent. Frankly I thought that it was a tribute to AG James for taking Trump to court. Maybe that’s not a nice thing to say about the AG but then she’s not a nice person anyway."

Five Quick Things: The Utter, Complete, and Glorious Evisceration of the Legacy Propaganda Press

The American Spectator  The Trump administration does not pull any punches with the White House press pool.

"Yes, the headline and Thing Number One are all about what Stephen Miller did to the White House Press Corps on Thursday in one of the most breathtaking takedowns of all time.

"It needs very little introduction, and so I’ll not burden you with one.

1. Here It Is, in All Its Glory

"The entire thing was almost cinematic — except that if it had been a scene in a movie, reviews would likely have included observations that “nah, this couldn’t happen in real life; no politician would have the stones to shred the media this badly.”

"And that might have been true up until not long ago, but when Miller fully spread his wings in this second Trump administration the whole reality changed.

"It’s going to be interesting to see the reverberations from Miller’s tour de force and whether it changed the standard for media relations.

"If nothing else, this is such a complete 180-degree turn from the posture the George W. Bush administration took vis-a-vis the legacy corporate media. It was pretty standard procedure for the Bushies (some of whom I liked: Tony Snow was an excellent press secretary before he got sick, and who can’t like Dana Perino?) to adopt a deferential attitude toward a hostile press corps. Miller, on the other hand, will challenge the false premise of any of those questions.

"As will Karoline Leavitt, who has done a great deal of work in restoring some ideological balance to that room.

"None of this is going to alter the left-wing propaganda press’s coverage of the administration, of course. These are Democrat political operatives disguised as journalists, and as such, they’re going to act as the proverbial scorpion acts toward the gullible frog carrying him across the river.

"The difference, as Miller’s glorious tirade makes clear, is that this administration refuses to be the gullible frog. Instead, it’s the elephant who stomps the scorpion flat on the riverbank." . . .

The Tables Hilariously Turn on Columbia Pro-Hamas Activists After They 'Occupy' the Library

RedState

"To be sure, what's in that video is absolutely pathetic. These are people who want to pound their chests and play tough, but the moment their lawlessness might cost them something, they demand to be able to flee the consequences. That's not how the real world works. But there's something else I want you to notice." . . .

"Are you ready for a healthy dose of schadenfreude? Because pro-Hamas students at Columbia just provided one of the most hilariously satisfying videos of the week.

"Setting the scene, chaos broke out at the left-wing Ivy League university on Wednesday, and as of this writing, things were continuing to spiral out of control as nightfall arrived. Multiple buildings were illegally occupied throughout the day, including the Butler Library, which was promptly "renamed" the "Basel Al-Araj Popular University." According to the protesters, they were liberating it "for the people."

"So yeah, there's no real question about who these people are and what they are supporting.

"Students trying to study for final exams were blocked from entering, and a large police presence responded to the incursion. That's when something incredible happened. Instead of trying to force the pro-Hamas lunatics to flee the scene, which is the typical tactic with these criminal protests, the police locked them inside. Suddenly, the brave occupiers, who had taken over the building just hours earlier and vowed to stay, started to freak out. Chants of "let us out" could be heard while the pro-Hamas imbeciles pushed against the doors to try to break free.

"How does Islamism spread its influence, given its complete failure to carry out its desired conquest militarily? It does so by feigning victimhood in Western society. That's how they get hundreds of non-Muslims to take over buildings and rename them after terrorist-supporting radicals. That manipulation is purposeful, and it's been very successful. That should scare normal Americans because the more this is allowed to continue, the worse it will get. Islamism is a cancer. It doesn't win overnight, but it spreads and gradually destroys everything it touches." . . .

Senator Joe Biden "borrows" a speech from British politician Neil Kinnock.

JOE BIDEN copies from Neil Kinnock  Tunnel Wall covered this some time back:   "A September 17, 1987 broadcast of the PBS NewsHour discusses how Joe Biden’s 1988 presidential bid was derailed by charges of plagiarism."

. . . . . . "But Biden’s exit from the 1988 race is worth recalling in detail, because his transgressions far exceeded Obama’s own relatively innocent lifting of rhetorical set pieces from his friend Deval Patrick, which occasioned a brief flap last February. Biden’s misdeeds encompassed numerous self-aggrandizing thefts, misstatements, and exaggerations that seemed to point to a serious character defect. In some ways, the 1988 campaign—in which scandal forced not just Biden but also Gary Hart from the race—marked a watershed in the absurd gotcha politics that have since marred our politics and punditry. But unlike Hart’s plight, Biden’s can’t be blamed on an overly intrusive or hectoring press corps. The press was right to dig into this one.." . . .

Not Again! Joe Biden Accused of Plagiarizing Canadian Politician in DNC Speech  . . .“Why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university? Why is it that my wife who is sitting out there in the audience is the first in her family to ever go to college? Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright? Is it because I’m the first Biden in a thousand generations to get a college and a graduate degree that I was smarter than the rest?”

"During the 1987 California Democratic Convention, Biden also lifted a phrase verbatim from John F. Kennedy’s 1961 inaugural address.
"Earlier this year, Joe Biden’s campaign also copied Bernie Sanders’ platform last month.
"On multiple occasions, Joe Biden plagiarized Trump’s coronavirus response plan by pitching ideas on what to do about the pandemic as his own, even though they’d already been done."

Conclave Day 2: White Smoke! We Have a New Pope

New Pope Elected, White Smoke Billows from Vatican Chimney: Watch Live

At precisely 6:07 p.m., local time, the smoke rose into the late afternoon sky, sparking an emotional eruption from the tens of thousands gathered in St. Peter's Square. Cheers rang out as priests made the sign of the cross, nuns wept, and the crowd shouted in unison, "Viva il papa!" Flags from across the globe waved above the masses as they anxiously awaited the identity of the Church's new spiritual leader.

 Legal Insurrection

"We will find out soon who it is. After the cardinal accepts his election, he goes to the “Room of Tears.” It’s called that because so many have cried after receiving the enormous responsibility of leading the Catholic Church.

"He will put on the white papal vestments.

Once everything gets settled and ready, the senior cardinal deacon will declare from the central balcony of St. Peter’s, “Habemus papam!” (We have a pope!).

"The new pope will emerge and give us his first papal blessing.

28th Annual Highway Report

 Reason

For those keeping track, California is 49 out of 50. TD  View the chart here

"Reason Foundation’s 28th Annual Highway Report evaluates state highway systems on cost versus quality using a method developed in the early 1990s by David T. Hartgen, Ph.D., emeritus professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This method has since been refined by Hartgen, M. Gregory Fields, Baruch Feigenbaum, and Truong Bui.

"Since states have different budgets, system sizes, and traffic and geographic circumstances, their comparative performance depends on both system performance and the resources available. To determine relative performance across the country, state highway system budgets (per mile of responsibility) are compared with system performance, state by state. States with high rankings typically have better-than-average system conditions (good for road users) along with relatively low per-mile expenditures (also good for taxpayers)." . . .

If You Have To Tell People You’re ‘Not The Enemy Of The People,’ You Are

Rich Terrell

‘Come on The View!’ MSNBC Biden Flack Defends Him Refusing Pressers   ...You can take the press secretary out of the White House, but you can’t take the White House out of the press secretary. Despite now being a member of the press (after her ethically dubious hiring by NBC/MSNBC), former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared on Monday’s edition of The View and defended President Biden’s refusal to do press conferences and his desire to only grant sit down interviews to friendly media outlets that give him a tongue bath.
"Psaki was teed up by faux-conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who framed her question about Biden’s lack of “press availabilities” as her providing free campaign advice:" ...

The Babylon Bee finds room for parody in the press: Jen Psaki Walks Back Claims That She Ever Worked For Biden Administration   . . ." 'We need to walk back this notion that I ever worked for or represented the Biden administration," she said to Fox New's Peter Doocy. "To be honest, I was more like an unpaid intern. I really didn't do anything here. I am in no way associated with Biden or his policies or the consequences of his policies. I would say, and the President agrees, that any assertions to the contrary are unfounded."
" 'But Jen, come on!" retorted Doocy. "Didn't you run interference for the Biden administration for over a year, repeating his lies and distortions while his policies wreaked havoc on the country? I was here watching you the whole time!" Doocy was then pelted with spitballs by the other reporters in the room and ran out sobbing.
" 'We'll circle back to that question," said Psaki.
"According to sources, Psaki will make a move to MSNBC, where she will represent the people who tell Biden what to do."

"Though he said nothing had changed with the program’s editorial content — nope, their lying on behalf of Democrats was coming along just fine! — Pelley said Owens “felt he lost the independence that honest journalism requires.” In other words, Paramount executives might have told Bill that perhaps 50 back-to-back segments on “why Trump isn’t Hitler, but kind of is” weren’t really necessary right now."

. . ."60 Minutes hasn’t been a respectable program for about two decades now, which is about how long Bill Owens was with the show. He didn’t sacrifice just his job, he helped squander all of CBS’s credibility by using it to prop up one political party and demean half the country. Recall the Trump interview Owens oversaw in 2020, during which 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl denied the veracity of the Hunter Biden laptop story and Trump’s demonstrably true claim that his 2016 campaign was spied on by feds. Yet we’re supposed to be moved by his resignation and angry that it might change things at 60 Minutes. If only."

'People Warned Us About How Bad This Was Going to Be': Colbert and Maddow Spew Bile About Trump, GOP

"Colbert kicked off the festivities by lying about Trump's "obvious incompetence and disregard for our institutions.' "

. . ."The people who warned you about the end of the planet as we know it were you, Colbert, the lady geniuses of "The View," the so-called "mainstream" media lapdog media, and other Trump-loathers, so please."

MSNBC Forced to Retract False Claim About Kash Patel

. . ."Figliuzzi also claimed that Patel’s daily intelligence briefings had been reduced from daily to “maybe twice weekly.”

"Again, he cited anonymous sources and offered no proof.

"Yet, despite the complete lack of evidence, those remarks quickly circulated across digital news platforms and social media.

"Outlets such as the Daily Mail, Daily Beast, and MSN repeated the claims without independent verification." . . .
