The Weasel of the Week

Nice Deb   "Once again, It’s time to present this week’s statuette of shame, The Golden Weasel!!

"Every Tuesday, the Council nominates some of the slimiest, most despicable characters in public life for some deed of evil, cowardice or corruption they’ve performed. Then we vote to single out one particular Weasel for special mention, to whom we award the statuette of shame, our special, 100% plastic Golden Weasel. This week’s nominees were all disgusting but the Council has spoken and we have our winner. The envelope please….

The Noisy Room: "Bill Maher for smearing Rush Limbaugh and offending just about everyone this week with his skit on Caitlyn Jenner. Maher should know about has-beens and dicks. I mean, he is both. Seriously… does anyone think this evil moonbat is funny? He’s detestable. He’s right on one thing though, Bruce (I refuse to call him Caitlyn) Jenner is not Rosa Parks. I don’t think he really knows who he is. He seems to have been confused his whole life. He went from Olympic gold medalist, to reality TV patriarch, to a woman and a joke in the span of his lifetime. Now, he’s landed a lucrative cosmetic gig at the hot age of 65. And America is fixated on this farce. Because no one wants to pay attention to our rights being shredded or to an impending World War when you can watch a rich athlete, who has scuzzy celebrities for family, morph into a woman and the icon for transgenderism. Wow, now I really get why Rome fell." . . .

Hillary’s Time-Tested Campaign Strategy: Smear Republicans as Haters

Mona Charen   . . . "As these stories [of Clinton corruption and ineptitude in the State Department] mounted, Clinton seemed oddly disengaged. She neither answered questions nor attempted to change the subject. Some Republicans began to get smug. “She’s a terrible candidate,” they said (your humble columnist may even have let these words slip herself). “She doesn’t have the skills of her husband,” they said, even predicting that “this woman will never be president of the United States.” This week, Clinton demonstrated that Republicans should wipe the smiles off their faces. On Saturday, June 13, she’ll deliver a do-over of the announcement speech, and if it’s anything like the talk she delivered at Texas Southern University, it will be fierce and effective." . . . A Liberal Reads the News

HopeNChangeCartoons   "We're letting the cartoon do the talking today, because the vapidity of those on the Left - and what they consider newsworthy - pretty much leaves us speechless. And by "speechless," we of course mean we don't want to open our mouths and risk spilling what we're drinking.

"But fortunately, that's not the case for our liberal correspondent, who is here to share her personal insights into the critically important process of candidate selection..."

POTUS Bullies SCOTUS ; King v Burwell: What’s Next?

http://terrellaftermath.com/
"The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule on the latest legal challenge to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in June. The Court will decide whether the IRS had the authority to write a rule allowing health insurance subsidies to flow through federally-facilitated exchanges.

"Petitioners argue that the law clearly restricts the subsidies to “an Exchange established by the State” and that administrative agencies like the IRS cannot alter legislation or spend taxpayer dollars without statutory authorization by Congress. The government argues that “established by the State” is at worst a drafting error and that Congress clearly wanted subsidies to be available in all of the states." . . .

Read on for the latest news and opinion about this case and its implications.

 Michael Ramirez Cartoon
Obama Tries To Bully The Supreme Court One More Time . . . "Obama's real target in the speech, however, wasn't to sell ObamaCare to a public that long ago decided that it didn't want or like the law, and hasn't changed its mind.
"His target was the Supreme Court and its upcoming ruling on King v. Burwell. Not that anything Obama says can change the court's ruling. That was probably decided soon after oral arguments in March.
"No, Obama wants to ostracize the court should it have the gall to rule that, based on the actual legislative language, ObamaCare subsidies are available only to people who sign up through state-run exchanges." . . .

Under "Need You Ask?":  Is Obama trying to sway SCOTUS?    . . ."What’s more, it’s fairly clear from the way the opinions were written in Sebelius that something had persuaded Justice Roberts to change his mind at the last minute, whether it was mere persuasion, or pressure of some sort.
"But persuading the justices (or one justice) is only one motive for Obama’s words. Another motive would be to undermine the public’s regard and respect for the Supreme Court—particularly when that Court happens to disagree with Obama, or when it takes away an entitlement of any sort that has been “woven into the fabric of America.” Obama’s not talking about the law there, or an interpretation of the law, he’s saying that nothing once given can be taken away, and that the liberal/left agenda for America should be unstoppable no matter what the law says." . . .
This petulant man is a danger to American institutions and must be confronted by Congress.

This president's ISIS strategy

Promise Kept Alert: Obama Considers Establishing New Military Bases In Iraq…
Screen Shot 2015-06-10 at 1.46.29 PM

File this next under "dubious":
Thousands of US paratroops head for Iraq. Tehran braces for onset of ISIS terror attacks on cities
Other sources have this as well, as DEBKAfile often needs corroboration
From DEBKAfile.
Also in  Israel News Cloud
Global Geopolitics  carries this same story, but all sources link to DEBKAfile.  This does not seem in character with Obama, whom I feel would like to stall this all until he is out of office. Then he can criticize the next administration for messing up the beautiful foreign policy he bequeathed to them.
If you don't believe that, then tell me where have you been the past seven years. TD

Max Boot: Obama Embraces Hope But Little Change in Iraq . . . " If the administration were really serious about defeating ISIS, it would have to lift the rules that prevent American personnel from going into battle with Iraqi forces and calling in air strikes. It would also have to be prepared to order US Special Operations Forces to engage ISIS directly, staging regular raids like the one that recently killed an ISIS mid-level leader in Syria. In addition, it would have to mount a major political initiative to give the Sunnis a reason to fight ISIS by assuring them that they will not again be subjugated to extremist Shiite rule. Oh, and the administration would also have to come up with some strategy for fighting ISIS in Syria — and in far-flung lands such as Libya, where the Islamic State is now expanding." . . .

High School Principal Fired For Saying THIS About McKinney Cop

Now, the principal of North Miami Senior High School, Alberto Iber, has been fired over his Facebook comment defending the Texas police officer caught on video pushing a teen girl to the ground in an incident at a rowdy community pool party.

“He did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life,” Iber posted on a Miami Herald story. “I commend him for his actions.”

Three sentences. Sixteen words.
. . . "Since when did sharing an opinion on a news story require a school to boot out a principal, anyway?

"He wasn’t cussing anyone out or engaging in inappropriate acts with students. What, is he never allowed to share his opinions out loud as long as he works in the public education system?

"This is an attempt to silence a man who has an opinion that differs from the liberals in the Department of Education who see the McKinney pool party incident as an opportunity to push their “diversity” agenda and make all black people look like victims." . . .

Dr. Alveda King Calls Out the “Race-Baiters”

. . . "So, when she speaks out on the current state of race relations in America, it would do everyone well to listen.  CNS News reports her latest insights:"
. . . "When I hear Mrs. Senator Hillary Clinton or Mrs. Michelle Obama, or Al Sharpton, or other leading speakers stir up memories of racial unrest and oppression, even when they are pointing out the obvious current racial overtones and undertones that Blacks in America are still facing, I don’t hear hope. They don’t offer solutions, only more anger, pain and despair."

"She gets right to the point of the problem with the left’s “race industry” as CNS News goes on:" . . .
mlk

. . . "It’s a shame President Obama has squandered his historic opportunity to bring America together on race. But, that wouldn’t get him as many votes.

"It’s a shame Rev. Al hasn’t used his pulpit to lift up the lives of the too many African-Americans still in despair, but if he did that, he wouldn’t make as much money.

"And, it’s a shame Hillary isn’t using her historical perspective as someone who can remember back to how life was for minorities in the 1950s to talk about the immense progress this nation has made to ensure equal opportunity for all. But, for her too, that wouldn’t buy many Democrat votes. After all, didn’t the liberal media refer to her husband as “the first black President”?

"No, demagogues never want the truth. It doesn’t buy them anything." . . .

Jan, 2014; NATION OF ISLAM (Black Panthers) GET PASADENA TEXAS WELCOME

Texas = Last bastion of freedom.

This is all so sad, as I have been treated with nothing but kindness and friendliness by virtually every African-American I meet. Many, I believe are upset at the anger and violence being put forth in their name. Please help them be aware that our anger is directed at those who profit from racism.  The Tunnel Dweller.

McKinney, our police and Al Sharpton

Emotional Toll of Police Work "In an earlier post I posed the question of why Eric Casebolt, the now–former police officer in McKinney, Texas, was alone among the officers at the infamous pool party who conducted himself unprofessionally. Now we may have an explanation. In a Wednesday press conference, Casebolt’s attorney, Jane Bishkin, revealed that prior to answering the call about the party, Casebolt had responded to two incidents that were especially trying. In the first of these, a man had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head in front of his children. Casebolt consoled the widow and assisted in photographing the body. And after that, he was called to a scene where a teenage girl was threatening to kill herself by jumping from the roof of her parents’ home. Casebolt calmed the girl and the situation was resolved successfully. “The nature of these two suicide calls took an emotional toll on Eric Casebolt,” Ms. Bishkin told reporters. “With all that had happened that day, he allowed his emotions to get the better of him.”
"As his attorney said, Casebolt allowed his emotions to get the better of him, a lapse for which he has paid with the loss of his career and the prospect of an uncertain future. I don’t excuse his behavior, but I understand it better now than I did when I wrote about it earlier. I wish him well."
You can be sure Al Sharpton doesn't have days like this.

McKinney Residents Respond to Pool Party Incident… And It’s NOT What Al Sharpton Wanted
 McKinney PD Thank You
. . . "Because the liberal media sees everything through the prism of race, it naturally assumed that the black children who were accosted by the police were the victims.
Many local residents disagreed.

“This isn’t about race,” resident Bryan Gestner wrote on Facebook. “This is about outside kids invading our neighborhood and had no respect for authority or the residents here.”

“I feel absolutely horrible for the police and what’s going on,” an unidentified local homeowner told reporters. “They were completely outnumbered and they were just doing the right thing when these kids were fleeing and using profanity and threatening security guards.”
. . .
The residents of McKinney, Texas, certainly don’t blame [Officer Casebolt] or any of his peers, so perhaps we should follow their lead and give thanks where it’s due."

More on the McKinney Case. . . " Now take the scenario of the partygoers all being white and the police officer being black. Would people have automatically reached racial conclusions in this case? Yet the ironic thing here is that, according to statistics, black violence action against whites is far more likely to be racial in nature than white violence action against blacks. Yet, in these cases, many people go out of their way not to interpret such violence in racial terms." . . .

Guess Where Al Sharpton Is Headed… This Won’t End Well
. . . "Sharpton said he is considering holding a rally in McKinney as early as this weekend to demand that the officer who pulled the gun be fired.

"Well, I’ll save him the trip- Officer Corporal Eric Casebolt has resigned and is now in hiding with his family due to threats from these blacks. His career is done. His life as he knew it is over. And that sucks."

The article goes on to tell us that some of Sharpton's followers are "threatening residents, vandalizing property, stealing cars, kicking in people’s doors and turning that nice community into hell." . . .

Jane Bishkin attorney to Eric Casebolt, McKinney TX

"Earlier today Jane Bishkin, the attorney for Eric Casebolt, gave a brief news conference to provide context around the former police officer’s decision to resign yesterday. Here’s the video in its entirety.

"In the process, Bishkin very cleverly won for Casebolt everything that could be salvaged, sacrificed nothing that had not already been lost, and cut off the oxygen from a potential Ferguson-style race riot in the otherwise quiet and racially integrated Texas community of McKinney.
