 NY Post  "President Biden’s first press conference Thursday turned out to be a trip into an alternate reality. In fact after fact, his statements were either grossly misleading or downright false. Here is just a small sample:

"Biden says: “We’re sending back the vast majority of families who are coming” to the border.

"Reality: The actual figure is about 13 percent of families being turned away.

"Biden says: “The idea that I’m going to say, which I would never do, if an unaccompanied child ends up at the border, we’re just going to let them starve to death and stay on the other side, no previous administrations did either, except Trump.”

"Reality: Trump never sent any kids off to starve to death. Many were flown back to their home countries.

"Biden says: “No, I haven’t” ever rejected bipartisanship.

"Reality: His executive orders and legislative agenda couldn’t be more divisive or partisan. His COVID relief pack was passed zero Republican votes. And he refuses to deal with any Republicans who won’t accept 100 percent of his agenda.

"Biden says: “I hoped to get 100 million shots in people’s arms in my first 100 days. We met that goal last week by Day 58, 42 days ahead of schedule.”

"Reality: The nation was already on course to well surpass that goal when he took office." . . .

"In the Biden administration everything is driven by identity politics. The nominee for Interior Secretary is someone who supports an anti-American North Korean front group and is supported by the Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA). All that matters, though, is that she is Native American.

"The new Treasury Secretary is completely compromised by the same financiers and Wall Street firms she is now expected to control and regulate. Never mind. She is female.

"So, it is with Rachel Levine, Biden’s choice for Assistant Health Secretary. Levine, as Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Health, presided over a COVID-19 nursing home debacle in Pennsylvania perhaps only second to that in New York State. Levine has very problematic views about gender transition related surgery and hormone treatment for minors. No big deal. Levine is transgender. That is all that counts.

"Let’s pretend, though, for a moment that we actually consider a person’s qualifications for a job to be of interest. Let’s assume, just for the sake of argument, that maybe we want to know something about the character of a nominee before accepting them for a senior position in the federal government. How does Levine stack up then?

"On March 18, 2020, Levine’s Pennsylvania Department of Health issued a document entitled Interim Guidance for Nursing Facilities During COVID-19 (3/18/20). The document provided instructions for nursing home facilities in Pennsylvania “regarding best practices in nursing homes” related to COVID-19. The document stated in part, “Nursing care facilities must continue to accept new admissions and receive readmissions for current residents who have been discharged from the hospital who are stable to alleviate the increasing burden in the acute care settings. This may include stable patients who have had the COVID-19 virus.”

"In short, just as in New York, nursing homes were required to readmit COVID-19 patients and continue to care for them in their facilities." . . .

"The results were catastrophic. A nurse at a Pennsylvania nursing home who was interviewed anonymously by a local television station had these comments on what ensued." . . .

"There is a debate in Georgia about a provision regarding bringing voters food and water while they are waiting to vote. Is that un-American? Not when you consider that such “services” could amount to illegal electioneering. But maybe Biden thinks those restrictions are un-American, too.

"That 5 p.m. poll closing time? He’s apparently referring to a plan in Texas that would have polls close in the first week of early voting at 5 p.m. But they’d be open until 7 p.m. in the second week of early voting. And the point of the measure is to create a uniform rule across the state, instead of the wide variations seen in the last election.

"And the “no absentee ballots” is bogus. States are trying to rein in mail-in voting that caused massive problems in the last election." . . .

This administration has done more damage in two months than any previous administration did in two years or two terms.  We are no longer to be energy independent.  There are no borders, so we are no longer a sovereign nation.  Biden has put tens of thousands of people out of work — the pipeline, the wall, the 80 million acres of federal land he has declared no longer available for oil or gas exploration. 

Patricia McCarthy  "Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski have once again betrayed the American people and voted to confirm one of the most insidious persons ever nominated to a Cabinet position, "Rachel" Levine.  He will now be the assistant secretary of health.  Levine was as toxic as N.Y. Gov. Cuomo when it came to rendering Pennsylvania nursing homes super-spreaders of COVID, but he put his own mother in a hotel.  He knew what he was doing as surely as Cuomo did.

"There is much to condemn this appointment, but most serious is Levine's promotion of medication and surgery for pre-pubescent children with gender dysphoria.  Sane people realize that this is perhaps the most despicable form of child abuse that has currently won favor among trans activists.  Surely, both Murkowski and Collins know full well that the vast majority of the American people do not support such extremist views, but they apparently wanted to appear to be sufficiently "woke."
