The days of “an honest wage for a day’s work” are long gone.

"The good news is that Americans spend over 23 trillion dollars a year, and a little bit of research on where you buy your cars, who you bank with, products you buy at the store, or which cell phone service you use, will allow you to shift your purchases from “woke” to “free.”

American Thinker

The days of “an honest wage for a day’s work” are long gone. In addition to having to work harder while inflation eats up their pay increases, employees are now forced to monitor their behavior and even their own thoughts in order to keep their jobs.

. . ."1792 is when the first American stock exchange was founded -- as an apolitical body.

"The 1792 Exchange has compiled a list of over a thousand companies and ranked them according to their likelihood of denying services, contracts, or investments based on a client’s views or beliefs.

"You can go to the website and check on the various companies you deal with to learn their score.

"They share stories of people and companies that have been harmed by ESG rules. You can also report if you or your business has been harmed by an ESG company based on your political beliefs or personal views.

"Conservative lawmakers in various states, and even in Washington, D.C. are fighting back against ESG and its effect on American businesses and freedom of speech. Unfortunately, we can’t rely on our conservative representatives to end ESG rules any time soon.

"The good news is that Americans spend over 23 trillion dollars a year, and a little bit of research on where you buy your cars, who you bank with, products you buy at the store, or which cell phone service you use, will allow you to shift your purchases from “woke” to “free.”

"Talk is cheap, action is priceless."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Rips Pro-Christian Super Bowl Ads as ‘Fascist’

It is unclear where Ms. Ocasio-Cortez sees the hidden “fascism” lurking behind these ads, designed to help overcome divisions and hatred in the name of Jesus.

Breitbart Faith  "Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Sunday she did not believe Jesus would support pro-Christian Super Bowl commercials because they make fascism “look benign.”

"The Christian group “He Gets Us” spent some $20 million on two advertisements that aired during Sunday’s Super Bowl portraying Jesus Christ as loving “the people we hate.”

“ 'Something tells me Jesus would *not* spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

"One of the ads shows scene after scene of angry people in each other’s faces and ends with the caption “Jesus loved the people we hate. He gets us. All of us.”. . .

How the Democrats Will Come At Us

We can and should embrace policies that help private-sector working Americans flourish even if it annoys the corporations that used to be in our coalition – make that especially if it annoys the corporations that used to be in our coalition.

Kurt Schlichter  . . ."A lot of you are young, way young, and you never lived through a time when the Democrats were the working man’s party. Back in the day, the Democrat Party was not solely race hustlers, commie professors, abortion nuts, and unionized government flunkies. It was the party of guys who got dirty at work, who built things and went to war, and who wanted to feed their families and live with dignity. But they also loved their country and did not understand supporting welfare cheats and coddling criminals. These were Reagan Democrats, who saw their party evolve after 1972 into one run not for the working class but for the Chardonnay class. Reagan got them because they loved the flag and hated commies. Yet the economic message that appealed to them was still powerful – and Mondale was the last guy to still send it even though the smug swells and San Francisco freakshow kept it from resonating.

"With Clinton, a guy you cannot even imagine in a hard hat (and even less so Obama), the Democrats put these working-class voters aside in favor of what would soon devolve into their present woke agenda – an agenda that offers nothing to guys who don’t go to work in loafers. And the Republicans squandered the coalition Reagan had built – the Bushes were the antithesis of backers of the working man, and W barely won the first time and only won the second because these working folks understandably wanted to kill every single 7th century SOB with a hand in 9/11. That was a mistake. Too often we Republicans treated their legit economic concerns as an annoyance and let ourselves be caricatured as Buick-driving bosses. When you nominate Mitt Romney, a guy who needs only a top hat and monocle to look exactly like everyone who ever outsourced your job to Shanghai, you are not reaching out to the working man.". . .

Biden's Right: His Word Means Nothing

. . .Seen from that perspective, Biden's time as installed president makes a lot more sense.  When he promised to unite the country by ridding it of petty divisions, what he really meant was that he planned to exacerbate racial animosities to the best of his abilities, rub salt in old wounds to ensure intolerance festers and anguish lingers, and incite hatred among groups of Americans who would otherwise get along.

American Thinker   "Installed (p)Resident Joe Biden loves to make promises secured by the supposed worth of his family name.  "I give you my word as a Biden," he said back in March of 2020, "When I'm president, I will lead with science, listen to the experts and heed their advice, and always tell you the truth."  Again giving his solemn word before the 2020 mail-in ballot presidential selection, he promised both "to turn division into unity and bring us together," as well as to "be an ally of the light, not the darkness."  Just over a week ago, he declared, "My word as a Biden: I've never been more optimistic about America's future than I am today."  My goodness, if only Biden's family name possessed more value than that of Benedict Arnold's, we would be blessed with a man in the White House committed to truth, unity, spiritual guidance, and American success.  Yet Biden's name is synonymous with none of those things, is it?

"Instead, the Biden family name has really stood for only two things: buffoonery and corruption.  For fifty years, Joe Biden has managed to hold onto some slice of power in D.C. as a senator, vice president, and Oval Office stooge not because he is renowned for his erudition or virtue but rather because his doltish behavior and venal character make him ideal for others to control.  Perhaps no other Washington relic has accomplished so little for the American people over such a prolonged government career or managed to harness those defects for lucrative advancement more successfully than China Joe. In 2020, China Privately Told Biden Ally They Wanted Joe To Win

 Washington Free Beacon

"The Chinese Communist Party was pulling for Joe Biden to win the 2020 presidential election, according to former president Barack Obama's ambassador to China.

"Max Baucus, who is on the payroll of several CCP-connected firms, said in an interview with Politico published Friday that CCP officials were optimistic about Biden softening relations between the United States and China.

" 'I had some very good Chinese friends—high up in the government—and I talked to them before the [2020] election, and they said they hoped Biden would win the election and not [Donald] Trump," Baucus said. "Why? Because they said, 'We could deal with Biden.' They thought because he's steeped in foreign policy and he was chairman of that Foreign Relations Committee, he's reasonable, whereas … you never know where Trump is going to go."

"Few former senior government officials have closer ties to the CCP than Baucus, who runs a consulting firm for Chinese companies and serves on the board of Alibaba, a Chinese tech company. Baucus was a vocal critic of Trump's policies toward China, even appearing on Chinese state television to bash the administration's policies. While vice president, Biden advocated for Baucus's appointment as ambassador to China, likely prompting Baucus to endorse Biden's 2020 presidential bid.

"Baucus told Politico that although Chinese government officials favored Biden during the 2020 campaign, they've now "changed their mind." Following Biden's win, Baucus said, the CCP concluded that "Biden's rhetoric isn't as anti-China as Trump's, but his policies are more anti-China than Trump's.". . .

Biden’s Ballooning Foreign-Policy Blunders; Our feckless Commander-in-Chief continues to embolden our enemies.

The American Spectator  . . ."This statement to the media contains some disturbing elements. First, Biden suggests that he was initially briefed on the balloon on Wednesday. The problem with this claim is that it entered U.S. air space in January, as reported in the Bloomberg article quoted above: “US authorities were well aware of the unidentified object that had entered American airspace on Jan. 28.” This means either that Biden is guilty of another of his trademark whoppers or, even worse, that his military advisers hid it from him for several days. The latter explanation seems eminently plausible considering that “they decided” when to shoot it down.

"Regardless of who made the call, the decision to allow the balloon to traverse the entire continent before destroying it was allegedly based on the desire to avoid collateral damage if debris happened to fall on a populated area. That claim, however, is simply not credible. During its first four days over the U.S., there were vast stretches of virtually uninhabited territory over which it could have been shot down with no serious possibility of collateral damage. It could also have been shot down over water even before it entered U.S. air space in Alaska. As former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army Gen. Jack Keane told Fox News:

Remember, this was approaching the United States over water. It was approaching the Aleutian Islands over water. And we had plenty of opportunity to take it down then. And that’s when it should have happened. We had to be tracking it from mainland China across the Pacific Ocean, and we had plenty of warning to put together an operation that we are conducting now on the East Coast that should have been done there.

"Keane goes on to point out that we have alert aircraft in Alaska whose principal mission is to prevent unauthorized penetration of U.S. air space by foreign aircraft. If we had competent leadership in the White House, the spy balloon would never have made it to Alaska. But that’s the problem, of course. As Robert Gates, former defense secretary in the Obama administration, famously observed, “[Biden] has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Our commander-in-chief has certainly lived up to this reputation during his first two years in the White House.". . .

America, wake up!

Viral SOTU moment: Jill Biden kisses Kamala Harris’ husband

The Indian Express    "US First lady Jill Biden kissed Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff ‘on the lips’ ahead of the State of the Union Address on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Fox News reported.
"On Tuesday night at the national Capitol, President Biden delivered his second State of the Union address, the first after he lost the majority in the US House of Representatives.
"Soon after, the moment of the two sharing a kiss went viral on Twitter, with several social media users passing remarks.
" 'Jill Biden just kissed Kamala Harris’ husband on the lips. Didn’t see that one coming,” a person wrote on Twitter. “Did Jill Biden just kiss Kamala’s husband on the LIPS?!,” another said.
" 'Sexy start to the State of the Union tonight with Dr Jill Biden and Kamala’s husband with a heck of a hello kiss,” wrote another.". . .

State of the Union Highlights Reel

 Ann Coulter

"Despite MSNBC treating Biden's State of the Union address like the royal wedding, you probably didn't watch it. But it doesn't matter because ... I've got the highlights reel!. . .

. . ."LEAST BELIEVABLE CLAIM (This was a very competitive category!): Pointing out Tyre Nichols' parents in the audience, Biden said he'd never "had to have 'the talk' that brown and black parents have had to have with their children." And why would you, with a son like Hunter?

"You've probably heard me say this before, but I don't think "the talk" is taking. My evidence is this: Every famous case of a black person being killed after an interaction with police has NOT involved hyper-politeness on the part of the arrestee.  E.g.:

-- Michael Brown (tried to grab officer's gun, refused to stop, then turned and charged at him);

-- Breonna Taylor (boyfriend was shooting at cops);

-- Daunte Wright (refused to be handcuffed, despite a warrant for his arrest, attempted to drive off with an officer dangling from his car window).

"MOST REFRESHING MOMENT: "Let's also pass the bipartisan Equality Act to ensure LGBTQ Americans, especially transgender young people, can live with safety and dignity."

"Finally, an American president courageous enough to support poisoning and mutilating confused adolescent girls.". . .

That claim about three Chinese spy balloons on Trump's watch is deflating fast

Monica Showalter
. . ."You know the press is going to be dining out on this for the next ten news cycles.

There's just one problem, though -- the claim that Trump saw three Chinese balloons traverse through the U.S. on his watch and did nothing is ... deflating fast.

First, we have an explicit denial from someone who would have known.

According to the Daily Mail:". . .

. . ."So the whole story about Trump supposedly knowing about and ignoring the presence of three comparable spy balloons from China is falling apart fast. What's being described never happened, and what did happen was not like what happened this past week. It's just spin, another bid to give Joe Biden a public relations 'save' in the wake of the public relations disaster this balloon incident is amounting to, exposing both Joe's and America's weakness.

"This incident rather resembles the Liz Cheney-promoted lie that President Trump knew about Russian bounties on the killing of American soldiers in Afghanistan and did nothing. Or the one about Trump supposedly insulting the American war dead in Europe while he was on a trip there. Those stories, too, were debunked severely when the facts came out, and intriguingly, both also came from the Pentagon's lie shop.

"Now we are hearing this crap, which is falling apart like a busted balloon overhead overhead and waiting for the press to dine out on the scraps.

"Spare us this clown show. Trump never let balloons float overhead from China the way Joe Biden has. The claim is nothing but desperate leftist bunkum."

The mess of an address; UPDATED 2/10

He skipped over how he demolished U.S. deterrence abroad after the greatest humiliation in modern military history, with the flight from Kabul and the abandonment of billions of dollars in military equipment.

Victor Davis Hanson  After listening to the State of the Union address, Americans know why the latest Reuters poll has President Joe Biden at 41 percent approval.

Vice President Kamala Harris polls even lower — despite the obsequious efforts of the most biased media in history that has, in effect, merged with the Democratic Party.

The nation was reminded again why only 37% of Biden's own party want him to run again.

Only a quarter of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction under his leadership.

Given all that, what could a president possibly tell a nation when he entered office inheriting a 1.4% inflation rate only to spike it to 7%? How did Americans' 30-year mortgages of 2.7% soar to 6.5% in less than two years?

How does a president explain that eggs climbed to $7 a dozen, or a thin steak hit $15 a pound, or a sheet of plywood reached $95?

How does a president explain to Americans that gas averaged $2.39 a gallon when he took office and, even after draining the strategic petroleum reserve, it is still $3.50 a gallon — and recently spiked at $5 a gallon in many states.

Can Biden explain why once affordable, or even cheap natural gas more than tripled in price in less than a year?

What can a president say when in his first two years over 5 million foreign nationals poured into the United States — all illegally across a nonexistent border?

How could Biden explain the humiliation in Afghanistan? The draining of our arsenal of key weaponry? Or the inability to take down a communist Chinese spy balloon when it first brazenly floated above America — photographing military bases and missile sites as it crossed the entire United States with impunity?

We know the answers to all these questions.

Biden simply did on Tuesday in his State of the Union address what he always does: misinform, ignore, and attack!

Misinform. After sending inflation, energy, and interest rates to astronomical rates, and then seeing them momentarily taper off a bit, Biden declares that he "lowered" these indices that remain far higher than they were when he entered office.

He brags of a low unemployment rate. But Biden never discloses the better indicator of the labor participation rate that has declined under his tenure — or the fact he inherited a growing economy naturally rebounding on autopilot from a disastrous 2-year COVID lockdown.". . .
