Fireworks at the WH Press Briefing: Reporter Tells KJP She Should Be 'Ashamed' for Ducking Questions –

  RedState

At this point, the position of press secretary is almost useless as a source of actual news and information because, with KJP at the helm, the job seems to mostly consist of deflecting and ignoring. "I would refer you to...."

We’ve written dozens and dozens of stories about White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre because she’s irritable, evades any questions she doesn’t like, and is just generally incompetent at her job. Few besides Fox News’ Peter Doocy and Today News Africa's Simon Ateba ever call it out; most of the other WH press corps sheep just go along with it.

But on Wednesday, it all seemed to be too much for NY Post writer Steven Nelson, who called out KJP for refusing to answer his questions—since May. Transparency be damned, evidently.

After she looked past him yet again and searched for a friendlier reporter who could throw her softballs, Nelson spoke up: "You haven't called on me in two seasons, Karine."

"And I’m not calling on you today," Jean-Pierre snapped. Then, with a smirk on her face, she tried to ignore Nelson's protestations as she kept repeating, "Go ahead, go ahead" to another reporter.

Trump Vs. Biden On Israel Explained In One Post –

  Issues & Insights (issuesinsights.com)

"This was posted by Robert Greenway, who was the principal architect of the historic Abraham Accords under the Trump administration. Remember that every step he describes that Trump took was met with horror and anguish by elites and leftists alike who said it would lead to conflict.

We moved our embassy to Jerusalem. No war.

We withdrew from the JCPOA. No war.

We undertook the maximum economic pressure campaign and crippling, historic sanctions on Iran. No war and they stayed below 4% enrichment.

We recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. No war.

We eliminated Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al Muhandis (and Abu Bakr al Baghdadi). No war.

The results? Iran isolated under crippling sanctions reducing their capacity to threaten the region, and historic peace brokered between Israel and its neighbors via the Abraham Accords.

Two years after Biden took office Iran is enriching over 60%, they’re two weeks from sufficient material for a nuclear weapon, Sudan fell into a civil war, and Israel just experienced the greatest loss of life in a single day since the holocaust. In seeking to avoid conflict, it is upon us.

By embracing our enemy and spurning our friends it will not be easily contained.

‘Gas the Jews’ doesn’t qualify as hate speech?

 Eric Utter - American Thinker

Speaking of the difference between Western nations and terrorists, Benjamin Netanyahu once observed, “Here’s the difference between us.  We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians, and they're using their civilians to protect their missiles.” In fact, Hamas has located its military headquarters under a hospital.

'Hamas Sympathizer'

"Muslims and anti-Semites around the world have gathered in recent days to celebrate the mass slaughter of Jews in Israel by Hamas terrorists.  Several cities in Europe, including London and Berlin, have been the sight of these unspeakably appalling — yet joyous — gatherings.  Various cities in North America, such as Montreal and New York, have also been witness to such madness and depravity.  BLM has thrown its support behind the Palestinian cause, as have, unsurprisingly, many campus groups across America.

"In Australia, thousands of “Australians” gathered outside the Sydney Opera House to lose themselves in such zesty chants as "f--- the Jews!" and "gas the Jews!"  One person was arrested...for “breaching the peace” of the wannabe Jew-gassers by having the audacity to possess an Israeli flag.  Good on the local constabulary for dealing with him!

"But might not “f--- the Jews” be considered hate speech in this day and age?  I mean, nearly all locales across the former penal colony have laws regulating hate speech as regards race and religion.  If “gas the Jews” doesn’t qualify, what would?  “Misgender the Jews”?" . . .

Man's inhumanity to man - Patricia McCarthy   "
Has there been in recent years any more evidence of the gross probability of the inhumanity that human beings are capable of than what Hamas has perpetrated on the civilians of Israel?

"In the decades past, we have seen what Islamic terrorists are capable of; beheading Americans on video, the obvious intent to shock and terrorize the West.". . .

Obama implemented the plan to “take America down a peg or two.” Boy did he! The Trump administration was a shock to the left’s system, so he had to be destroyed.  The Democrats are still doing their best to ruin the man, his business, his family.  Their use of lawfare to do it is unconscionable.  The Democrats have emboldened the terrorists, funded the terrorists, racialized college students throughout the country, convinced black people they are oppressed, Asians that they are privileged, white people that they are interminably racist oppressors, etc., etc.  These are the people who now support the murderous Hamas terrorists.

Hamas and Amoral Clarity › Victor Davis Hanson   "One unexpected blowback from the medieval Hamas’s barbaric murdering of hundreds of Israeli civilians is the revelation of current global amorality.

"More than 20 Harvard University identity politics groups pledged their support to the Hamas murderers—to the utter silence for days of Harvard President Claudine Gay.

"Americans knew higher education practiced racist admission policies. It has long promoted racially segregated dorms and graduations. And de facto it has destroyed the First Amendment.

"But the overt support for Hamas killers by the diversity, equity, and inclusion crowd on a lot of campuses exposes to Americans the real moral and intellectual rot in higher education.

"Democratic Socialist members of the new woke Democrat Party openly expressed ecstatic support for Hamas’s bloodwork." . . .

What has become of America today?

How an Israeli kibbutz 'paradise' turned into hell in Hamas attack | Reuters   "Bodies of young Israeli babies, including some with their heads cut off, have been found by IDF soldiers in a southern Israeli kibbutz, according to reports.

"Soldiers discovered the bodies among burned-out houses, strewn furniture and torched cars after Hamas terrorists attacked Kfar Aza kibbutz near the Gaza border.

In a video on X/Twitter, an i24 journalist said: “Talking to some of the soldiers here, they say what they witnessed as they’ve been walking through these communities is bodies of babies with their heads cut off and families gunned down in their beds.

“We can see some of these soldiers right now, comforting each other.”

"Kfar Aza was one of the hardest hit areas when Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on Saturday morning.

"Israeli troops were now going house to house to retrieve civilian bodies in body bags. They had not been able to take them before as they were still fighting gunmen and working through booby-traps." . . .

Have they ever met a Jew? The Jewish population in this burb of 92,000 is so small it doesn’t even register on the census. The Greater Seattle Area counts 63,400 Jewish residents and 25,000 Muslim residents.

"Those celebrating in the streets of Kirkland were pretending Hamas is full of freedom fighters. In fact, they’re full of murderous cowards who hate Jews as much as they hate women, gays, and Westerners. The lesbian couple holding hands on the pro-Hamas side would be thrown from the highest rooftop if they held hands in Gaza. Hamas atrocities expose peril of liberals’ long embrace of Palestinians and Iran

Whoever controls Joe must have had wisdom imparted unto them. | Just The News

Biden’s denunciation of grisly terror attacks can’t mask the left's years of coddling of Tehran and Gaza, experts say. We dumped the pro-American Shah to please the bloodthirsty Ayatollahs.

Hands all behind backs; Stilton's Place: War in Israel (stiltonsplace.blogspot.com)

"As evidence of civilian atrocities mounted, President Joe Biden emerged in public to unequivocally denounce the Hamas terror attacks as “pure unadulterated evil” but his repudiation cannot hide the long embrace by his party’s liberals of the two main actors behind the staggering violence that rocked the Middle East: the political and military leadership in Palestine and their backers in Iran.

Even as American hostages remained in peril, the beheaded torsos of innocent civilians were collected from Israeli streets and Hamas and Tehran celebrated the bloodletting, many liberals in America were still trying to express empathy for the attackers.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib flew a Palestinian flag outside her official congressional office, while Rep. Ilhan Omar suggested Israel’s counteroffensive might be a “war crime.” Biden’s secretary of state tweeted, then deleted a call for a “ceasefire” just as Israel ramped up its rescue missions. The U.S. Department of State’s Palestinian Affairs Office literally implored Israel to “refrain” from “retaliatory attacks” before reversing course. On the streets of liberal cities and the campuses of left-leaning universities like Harvard, many even suggested Israel deserved blame for Hamas’ attacks.

Security experts said the weekend attacks exposed the peril of a decade-long Democrat pursuit of an elusive deal to end Iran’s nuclear and terrorist activities combined with a romanticism in liberal academic and political circles of a Palestinian "struggle."

That "struggle" has repeatedly resorted to inflicting terrorist casualties on innocent civilians dating to the days of Yasser Arafat and the Achille Lauro ship hijacking, where a wheelchair-bound American Jew was executed and thrown overboard.

Did Biden Lie About Golda Meir Meeting? What We Know (msn.com)   . . ."While speaking to reporters about the conflict, Biden told a story about his meeting with Meir. He first visited Israel as a Senator in 1973 "just before the Yom Kippur War" and met with Meier in her office. After the meeting, Meir asked Biden if he wanted to take a photograph with her and noticed the "consternation" on his face, he said.

" 'She could tell, I guess, that I was concerned. She leaned over and whispered to me, 'Don't worry Senator Biden. We have a secret weapon here in Israel. My word is what she said, 'We have no place else to go,'" Biden said.

Ocasio-Cortez calls out ‘bigotry’ at pro-Palestine rally in NYC

I'd say good for AOC, but dare I hope? What must the others in the Squad say to her? TD

Ocasio-Cortez calls out ‘bigotry’ at pro-Palestine rally in NYC; Lauren Sforza"Supporters for Israel and Palestine gathered in demonstrations across the country after Hamas launched a massive attack against Israel Saturday. Groups supporting Palestinians gathered in Times Square — a demonstration that was also denounced by New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and Mayor Eric Adams (D).

“ 'It should not be hard to shut down hatred and antisemitism where we see it. That is a core tenet of solidarity,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement obtained by The Hill.

“ 'The bigotry and callousness expressed in Times Square on Sunday were unacceptable and harmful in this devastating moment. It also did not speak for the thousands of New Yorkers who are capable of rejecting both Hamas’ horrifying attacks against innocent civilians as well as the grave injustices and violence Palestinians face under occupation,” she said.

"Adams and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) also blasted the demonstration after it was met with criticism.

“ 'At a moment when innocent people are being slaughtered and children kidnapped in Israel, it is disgusting that this group of extremists would show support for terrorism. I reject this. New York City rejects this. Do not use our streets to spread your hate,” Adams posted on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

“ 'I am shocked and disgusted by the rally held here in NY this weekend celebrating death or attacks on civilians and showing swastikas. I condemn any demonstration that does this in the strongest possible terms. We must proceed on the basis of recognizing our shared humanity,” Bowman posted on X." . . .

The terrible price for Democrats choosing our leaders

 Satire:

Biden’s remarks on Hamas and Israel are tone-deaf and beyond insulting - American Thinker   . . ."David Ignatius writing for The Washington Post called Hamas a “formidable” and “technologically sophisticated foe” — but maybe Ignatius and WaPo should admit that the only reason Hamas is a “formidable” and “technologically sophisticated foe” is because of the generosity and leniency Obama, Biden, Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and others gave/give to terrorist groups and regimes around the world.

But, Biden and the Justice Department are much more focused on Trump and his supporters and frequently call them terrorists while turning a blind eye to real terrorists in the Middle East that also threaten the United States. Heck, Garland even equated parents at school board meetings to terrorists!

Why don’t the leftists protest the actions of Mexican cartels at the border, or how brutal China is with its political and cultural dissidents? Because they don’t actually care about injustice—they’re simply pawns for the powers that be.

Democrats are paying for Biden now, good and hard - Victoria White Berger

. . ."Maria, and Tom and Jim on her show, were wondering on Sunday whether anyone can predict what Biden will do, or not, now, or ever.  That is so scary.  They were scared, and we are scared.  Had the Democrats dealt with the Biden Mess a year ago, or six months ago, or don’t-we-wish years ago, we would not be here, and Hamas would not have attacked.  Let the left eat that, as surely as leftists cooked it."

Just one out of the six representatives affiliated with the DSA responded to The Federalist’s inquiries to condemn the group’s defense of Hamas.

Israel's Plan for Post-Hamas Gaza Revealed by Former Diplomat (msn.com)  "Israeli forces preparing to invade the Palestinian Gaza Strip have no intention of re-establishing a permanent presence in the Hamas stronghold, Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations has told Newsweek, as the under-siege coastal enclave withers under a pre-incursion air, land and sea bombardment.

"Danny Danon told Newsweek Israel is preparing to "use a lot of force in order to restore deterrence and in order to ensure that Hamas is not capable of doing it again," in reference to the group's weekend infiltration and rocket attacks.

"Israeli ground forces are soon expected to cross into Gaza "to destroy Hamas' capabilities," as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to do." . . .

"A dark melancholy sets in upon seeing the Gaza Strip on the front page of the newspapers again. Back when I was a kid, I would listen to the latest news about the eternal confrontation on the radio and not understand any of it. Somehow I thought that war was just the norm in some countries. Israel is back on the front page, and our memories of decades ago would have us thinking this is a new chapter of business-as-usual. It is not. The terrorist attack of Oct. 7 represents a change of cycle for the entire West. There is no turning back.". . .

Israel Reaps What Jimmy Carter Sowed - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

Comment to this postThe press spent four years screaming that Donald Trump would start a nuclear war. Instead, we got the Abraham Accords, the first presidential visit to North Korea, the end of ISIS, stability in Ukraine, and a planned withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Under Joe Biden, that Afghan withdrawal became a national embarrassment. Israel is in its biggest war in half a century, and Europe is in its biggest war since the defeat of Hitler. Everyone is waiting in fear, wondering “what war will start next?”

Joe Biden’s foreign policy is a calamity.

The Israeli Defense Forces tells i24NEWS: Around 40 babies were butchered in the village of Kfar Aza, in southern Israel 'We're going to go after Hamas. We're going to hunt them down. We're going to eradicate them' Danny Danon, Former Israeli ambassador to the UN says

Did Hamas just jump the shark? - American Thinker   . . ."Shooting up a harmless music festival is way too much for even woke progressives — let alone flaunting the naked bodies of freshly murdered women.  As I write, the revulsion on the left is still lurking below the radar.  But there really is no turning back.  However, resistance to the sad reality of the excesses of Islamic extremism is a process early in its beginning.  So far, the Taliban’s push against letting Afghan women learn how to read and write has been mostly poo-poohed...let alone the general treatment of women like dogs.

"Mark Steyn, in After America, describes Muslim enclaves in Europe before the mullahs’ takeover of Iran.  They were pretty much integrated into the rest of their world.  Children freely played in public, women were often uncovered, tension was minimal.  Then came the collapse of the Shah, and the religious police began to show up." . . .

A new template has been cast.  Hamas and its cohorts are on the other side.  Citizens of the modern world are undeniably repulsed by the unfolding of this episode.  The reluctance of doctrinaire leftists to admit the grotesqueness of these events will likely fade, and that will be a profound embarrassment.  Hamas’s intention has been to instill fear in the hearts of its enemies.  Instead, they have provoked profound hate and an unstoppable willingness to fight back.

Schindlers list, 2023.

Here comes that old "just and lasting" trope again:

"Whoops!  That last sentence obliterates the tweet; “horrified and outraged by ... the brazen slaughter of innocent civilians” leading to a “just and lasting peace ... alike” means victim and barbaric aggressor are treated equally.  Huh?  Wipe those phony tears from your face, Mr. Former President; you aren’t fooling the Israelis.  Or all Americans.

"Israelis — and their true allies — are shedding real tears.  They will strengthen them to prevail."

Be thankful Israel did not have to ask Obama's permission to retaliate. TD

Why Trump is so far ahead in the polls

There are a couple of really good Republican candidates (i.e., DeSantis and Vivek), but Trump is still untouchable. I think I know why. Bookworm Room

"Donald Trump currently seems untouchable. Leftists (aka Democrats) and RINOS (aka Vichy Republicans) cannot understand why. After all, even those who love Trump can’t deny that he has his flaws. Politically, he trusted the wrong people, he failed to tame the swamp, he gave too much power to Fauci and too much protection to the drug companies and, possibly worst of all, he failed to restore the rule of law. These are big and consequential flaws. At a personal level, his fighting spirit has him picking fights when discretion would be wiser, and his speaking style, at least for me, is grating.

If you’re a conservative but can’t stomach Trump, DeSantis and Vivek seem like perfect options. DeSantis is a proven leader and a conservative one. After a brief flirtation with lockdowns, he realized that this was the wrong tactic and brought liberty and sanity to Florida. He’s fought for parents’ rights in the schools and for children’s safety and normalcy across Florida. He’s truly pro-life. He’s also an extremely able administrator and, for those who keep saying he’s a fake, he was one of the founders of the Freedom Caucus in Congress. I like him and would happily vote for him.

"Vivek, unlike DeSantis, is an unknown quantity in politics. However, he’s saying things that need to be said and saying them without backing down. Indeed, here are his truths, and we all know that they are, indeed, true:

  1. God is real.
  2. There are two genders.
  3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
  4. Reverse racism is racism.
  5. An open border is no border.
  6. Parents determine the education of their children.
  7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
  8. Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.
  9. There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.
  10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

"I would vote for either man in a heartbeat, and most conservatives should, too, if either one tops the ballot. Based upon what I know about them, both would be competent presidents and good antidotes to the travesty that is the Biden administration." . . .
