Harvardicide; Come for the destruction of DEI, stay for academia's collapse

Don Surber | Substack

This all began on October 7 when Palestinian soldiers invaded Israel and raped, tortured, murdered and mutilated more than a thousand Israelis and kidnapped 240 more, including babies. The next day — before Israel even had a chance to respond — Harvard students and faculty condemned Israel. . . .

"I come to praise Claudine Gay, not condemn her. The now ex-president of Harvard did our nation a great service by being smug and arrogant at a congressional hearing. Her hubris revealed what a farce DEI is as Harvard overlooked qualified candidates and chose her simply because she is a black lady.

"This is Bidenism. He chose his vice president and a Supreme Court justice the same way. The latter told Congress she could not define what a woman is. The former’s speeches make her sound like a 10 year old explaining the world to a 7 year old.

"(A 10 year old is a person who has lived for 10 years.)

"But wait. There’s more Bidenism. He plagiarizes everything, including his biography. Gay plagiarizes too! How do you think a dummy like her got a PhD? Her doctoral dissertation in 1997 from Harvard turned out to steal the work of others in violation of Harvard’s rules.

"Her ability to become the top scholar in America — and presiding over Harvard is the cherry atop the Ivy League whipped cream that covers the higher education dessert — raises the question of whether this treat is worth having. Maybe America needs more meat and potatoes.

"America has 1 million active medical doctors. They are useful and I would not be surprised if half the 6,020 doctors in West Virginia are foreign born.

"America has 3 times as many people with doctorate degrees. I am not saying they are useless. I just would feel better if we had 3 million medical doctors and a million PhDs.

"Every one of those PhDs wrote a doctoral dissertation and many of them have written research papers since then and even books. It would be a shame if some used artificial intelligence devices to check to see if those committee approved theses were cut-and-pasted, wouldn’t it?

"Spoiler alert: Somebody is." . . .

Obama, worried about Trump, urges Biden circle to bolster campaign

MSN (msn.com)  . . ."During the lunch, Obama noted the success of his reelection campaign structure in 2012, when some of his top presidential aides, including David Axelrod and Jim Messina, left the White House to take charge of the reelection operation in Chicago. That is a sharp contrast from Biden’s approach of leaving his closest aides at the White House even though they are involved in all the key decisions made by the campaign.

"Obama also recommended that Biden seek counsel from Obama’s own former campaign aides, which Biden officials say they have done, the people said.

"Obama has been even more explicit with people close to Biden, suggesting the campaign needs to move aggressively as Trump appears poised to quickly wrap up the Republican nomination. His concerns about the campaign structure were not tied to a specific moment, but rather his belief that campaigns need to be agile in competitive races, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss confidential conversations.

"Spokespeople for Obama and the White House declined to comment.

"Obama has long harbored worries about Trump’s political strength, telling Biden during a different private lunch last summer that Trump is a more formidable candidate than many Democrats realize. He cited Trump’s intensely loyal following, a Trump-friendly conservative media ecosystem and a polarized country as advantages for the former president in 2024.

"Obama warns of Trump's political strength

"Obama, who commands enormous loyalty and star power in the Democratic Party, is not alone in worrying about Biden’s weak poll numbers and his unorthodox bifurcated campaign structure." . . .

How to blitz the Judge and secure a sack on a passing down.

That felon who ‘sacked’ the judge who denied his probation displayed remarkably good technique…  " I want to break down the technique on this video from my good friend @LasVegasLocally and explain why it’s a textbook example of how to blitz the quarterback and secure a sack on a passing down. Why Are Americans at Each Other's Throats? Ask Barack Obama.

Larry Elder (townhall.com)

But after Obama's eight years in office, both blacks and whites thought race relations got worse. What happened?

. . ."From the beginning of Obama's presidency until its end, the man America's considered a unifier played one race card after another. He enraged American law enforcement by falsely accusing a white Cambridge police officer of "acting stupidly." He implied the officer was racially motivated when he gave to a reasonable and lawful order to a black Harvard professor, who resisted it. When black Florida teenager Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by a self-appointed neighborhood watchman, Obama said, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon." The jury found the defendant not guilty, and the jurors said race played no role in the encounter. But Obama, who later embraced Black Lives Matter, again advanced the false narrative of anti-black "systemic racism." Never mind studies showing cops more reluctant, more hesitant to pull the trigger on a black suspect than a white suspect.

"In an interview, the man who said he would not blame race if he lost the election said: "The legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination in almost every institution of our lives -- you know, that casts a long shadow, and that's still part of our DNA that's passed on. We're not cured of it. ... Racism -- we are not cured of it." Obama invited the race-hustling Al Sharpton to the White House over 70 times.

"Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder complained of America's "pernicious racism," giving as an example voter ID. In Obama's second term, a black man motivated by the Obama-promoted police anti-black narrative murdered two NYPD cops as they sat in their squad car. In Baton Rouge, another black man driven by the same narrative ambushed and murdered three police officers. In Dallas, another black man influenced by this narrative ambushed and murdered five police officers.

Biden DOJ Went Too Far With Prosecuting Jan. 6 Suspects: Bill Barr

 The Epoch Times. (resistthemainstream.com)

"Dozens of Jan. 6 detainees are still languishing in jail awaiting trial three years after the Capitol incident"

"Former Attorney General Bill Barr said on Saturday—the third anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incident—that the Justice Department under President Joe Biden went too far when it comes to prosecuting individuals involved in the events of that fateful day and targeted people who merely “walked into open doors and hung around.”

"Mr. Barr made the remarks in an interview on Fox News, where he said he has no intention of downplaying the seriousness of the events of Jan. 6, 2021, which he called a “shameful episode” for which some people should face prosecution.

“ 'I don’t think it was an insurrection,” Mr. Barr said, rejecting a label that has been pushed in particular by opponents of former President Donald Trump, who faces over a dozen lawsuits seeking to bar him from the 2024 presidential ballot under the claim that he engaged in an “insurrection.”

"Mr. Barr was then asked in the Fox News interview for his thoughts about the fact that criticism appears to have grown with regard to the treatment of Jan. 6 defendants by federal authorities, with allegations that it’s been unfair, unwarranted, or heavy-handed.

“ 'Well, you know, like everything else the left does, they did, I think, go too far,” Mr. Barr replied.

"Dozens of Jan. 6 detainees are still languishing in jail awaiting trial three years after the Capitol incident." . . .

Israeli soldiers don’t have the luxury of grief

 Phyllis Chesler Organization

“Who do you think you are?” she said. “Both my parents had numbers on their arms. I will not be quiet as you tell lies about Israel and the Jews.”

"In Israel, our soldiers are fighting heroically, but they are also being killed in combat.

"In Israel, so I’ve been told, one soldier who had been allowed to return home for 24 hours left her family and went to the basement to sleep in their safe room. What she’d seen in the south and Gaza, what she now knew, compelled her to do so.

"Young Israelis today understand more about Jewish history than they ever had to before. They are living a replay of it on steroids. Some former “peaceniks” no longer believe that they can trust, live with, live near or employ Arab Gazan civilians. One wonders what this means in terms of the pro-Hamas Arabs in Judea and Samaria. This question is a very serious one.

"In 1980, when I was interviewed for the front page of Yediot Aharonot about the return of antisemitism, most Israelis with whom I spoke rejected the information. They gently but firmly explained to me that this was simply business as usual between one nation and another. But I had just returned from a U.N. conference in Copenhagen—the precursor to the notoriously antisemitic 2000 Durban conference—and sadly, I knew they were wrong.

"Now their children and grandchildren have no choice but to grapple with the fact that we have not escaped Jewish history; although this time around, we have a blessed and powerful army to fight for us (may God protect its soldiers). Our young are called upon to sacrifice their lives for us, as they’ve done in war after war.

"Earlier this century, the same took place in Jenin, the terrorist hotbed from which numerous suicide bombers left to blow up Israeli civilians in buses, cafes and at Passover seders:

"As we all now know, the “Jenin Massacre” was a lie. It never happened." . . .

What Hamas Did to the Girls and Women in Gaza

  Frontpage Mag

The storm has died down and the islamic cowards have got the left wing support and worldwide protests against Jews they needed. Comment to this post

"The full horror of what happened to them is now coming out. It is just what you expected. What is unexpected is that it was The New York Times, so often unfair to Israel, that published this detailed account. More on the rapes, tortures, and murders of Israeli girls and women on October can be found here: “In harrowing detail, NYT reports on weaponization of rape, sexual violence on Oct. 7,” Times of IsraelDecember 29, 2023:

In a comprehensive, horrifying exposé published on Thursday {Dec. 28], The New York Times detailed the systematic sexual violence against Israeli women and girls employed by Palestinian terrorists during Hamas’s unprecedented October 7 rampage through southern Israel.
The two-month investigation includes interviews with more than 150 witnesses, medical personnel, first responders, soldiers, rape counselors, and government officials, along with the scanning of video footage, photographs and GPS data from cell phones.

''The piece begins with the description of a harrowing video that circulated widely in the days after Hamas’s monstrous assault on southern Israel that Saturday morning. The footage, filmed in the early hours of October 8, shows the partially charred remains of a woman whose face is burned beyond recognition, and who is naked from the waist down, legs spread, her black dress hiked up. Her body is lying beside a car that was set alight on Route 232, which runs parallel to the Gaza Strip, where many people trying to flee the outdoor Supernova festival near Kibbutz Re’im were massacred by Hamas terrorists. Some 360 of the 1,200 people slaughtered that day were from the rave.
The woman in the video was later identified as Gal Abdush, a 34-year-old mother of two from central Israel, who attended the Supernova festival with her husband, Nagi Abdush, 36. Police say they believe Abdush was raped before she was murdered and her body set alight. It took about a week to identify her, according to the report. Her husband’s body was found days later, and was so badly burned that authorities needed DNA testing to identify him.

. . ."Those who are capable of rational thought should, with such accounts as these, understand why Israel cannot possibly allow Hamas to exist as a military threat. This is only part of the story of what was done that day by the Hamas killers: the gang-rapes, the mutilation of bodies, the torture, the murders, and the hilarity exhibited — the joking, the laughing, the giggling — by Hamas killers as they did what they did to these Jewish girls and women. There is much more that has been left out: the rapes and murders of pre-adolescent girls, the slicing off of breasts, the seizure of girls not only by Hamas, but by those “innocent civilians” who accompanied Hamas on its rampage, participated in the torture and slaughter, and took back to Gaza their own female captives, to be used as sex slaves, as some may still be doing. But this is more than enough. The New York Times, so often to be condemned for its reporting on Israel and the Palestinians, this time deserves praise." . . .

WORST OF 2023: The Jihadist Journalism Award for Helping Hamas (newsbusters.org)   “Last night, I asserted that this report indicated that babies were beheaded. This was an overstatement. I should have said that the report established that babies were found headless, a fact that lends plausibility to claims of beheading, but which does not prove them. The verb behead has multiple definitions, and is sometimes used to mean decapitate; the report indicates that Hamas did behead babies in that sense. But the term can also connote a form of execution using a knife, and we do not have confirmation of beheading in this sense.”

How Dems Like Newsom Got Away With Destroying A Great State

 The Federalist

Gavin Newsom wasn’t the first leftist to destroy California, but he has undoubtedly been the most successful.

. . ."We know Newsom and his party don’t give a second thought to the state’s destruction, nor the residents who are collateral damage, because in California next November, like clockwork, Democrats will again prevail up and down the ballot and all across the state."

"California Gov. Gavin Newsome(sp) is straight out of central casting for a perfect liberal: JFK looks but without JFK’s pesky conservative beliefs.

'All perfect leftists have an accidental view of history, and Newsom has a Ph.D. in accidents. To be a perfect leftist you have to subscribe to the theory that things just… happen. The basic philosophy and matching campaign rhetoric is: All the bad things you see — from homelessness and crime to inflation and war — are accidental. They could have happened to anybody regardless of policies, so give Democrats more of your money, and don’t ask about outcomes.

'To satisfy the more critically thinking liberal voter, they pivot to: If there are reasons why bad things happen, it’s the fault of fill-in-the-blank conservative, and now we have to fix it with left-wing policies (read: spending money). The intent of a policy matters more than its outcome.

'I was raised in Southern California, spent over half my life there, and let me tell you, in the ’70s and ’80s, it was the best place on the planet to live. California was magical. Growing up there was amazing, and most adults who lived there in that era concur, regardless of political affiliation. It’s almost impossible to convince a SoCal kid who experienced everything that great state had to offer that there was a better place to be raised in America.

'Out-of-state cousins wanted to come visit every holiday, and their parents loaded up cars and vacationed where we spent our lives daily. We rode our bikes well after dark without a care in the world, walked in Hollywood without fear, strolled the beaches in the wee hours of the morning, regularly rode up to bowling alleys, stores, and restaurants — and then just left our bikes without locking them up. Kids of the ’70s and ’80s were (little “g”) gods, and California was our kingdom.

"There was one exception to our Golden State utopia, and it came in the summer of 1984 when the Night Stalker paralyzed SoCal residents. It lasted a little more than a year, and when he was caught, we celebrated, not just because the killing spree was over but because we all could resume our lives without fear. The Night Stalker was named that because he struck only at night — but now, in broad daylight, California residents know they can be a victim at any time and in any neighborhood." . . .

Ann Coulter: Black Women in Charge

 Breitbart

"But Gardner threw herself into prosecuting a white couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who did not so much as fire a gun, much less kill anyone, but merely brandished guns from their property at BLM protesters passing by, whom they feared were coming to destroy their home."

"The Claudine Gay affair reminds me that we need a reckoning on how the “intersectionality” project is going.

"The idea was that after centuries of being kept down by racism and sexism – although that didn’t seem to hurt accomplished black women like Barbara Jordan, Condi Rice, Jessye Norman, Zora Neale Hurston and on and on – black women would finally be given a fair shot. Think of all that untapped talent!

"But so far, intersectionality has mostly placed a lot of black women in high-profile jobs far beyond their abilities. Or as the former Harvard president once said, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

"This will be the first in a series of columns I will issue periodically reflecting on the accomplishments of those at the top of the “intersectionality” heap. We’ll start with two heroic black lady prosecutors.

"Marilyn Mosby started the trend of fabulous black women saving America by becoming prosecutors. One of her first cases involved a notorious Baltimore heroin dealer, Freddie Gray, who sustained fatal injuries while being transported in the back of a police van. A mere 10 days later, Mosby charged all six officers involved (three black and three white) with crimes up to murder and manslaughter, after summarily blowing off the police investigation, but without having completed her own investigation first.

"For this, Mosby was instantly acclaimed as a national hero! She was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue, invited onstage at a Prince benefit concert, featured on the “Today” show, named the 2015 Junius W. Williams Young Lawyer of the Year by the National Bar Association, given a Woman of Courage Award from the National Women’s Political Caucus that same year, and chosen as 2016 Newsmaker of the Year, among the nonstop accolades." . . .

"Her first year in office, the homicide rate in Baltimore increased by nearly 60 percent."

Douglas Murray ROASTS Disgraced Harvard President Claudine Gay

 Youtube

Comment on the below: Thank you Ayaan for continuing to get your face on TV. Your case that Islam needs reformation is so important and it needs to be spread to mainstream Western societies.

"The resignation of Harvard President Claudine Gay has sparked a heated debate on issues of merit, diversity, and inclusion. While some argue that her departure was justified due to accusations of plagiarism and a poor performance at a congressional hearing on anti-Semitism, others claim that her resignation is an assault on diversity and a sign of a larger racial agenda.
"Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a research fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institute, argues that the focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion is detrimental to institutions and society as a whole. She told Douglas Murray that her grandmother "would not trust Claudine Gay to herd her goats."
"Ali believes that these movements are aimed at dismantling and degrading our institutions, erasing history, and indoctrinating students. Ali sees Gay's resignation as a small part of a larger problem that has infiltrated universities, corporations, and even lower education levels."

Conservatives Are Mastering the Media War

Hot Air
Trump opened the door to challenging the media directly, but as with most things Trump he went straight to the insults and nicknames instead of building the case. You and I love to see the bullies get hit in the nose, but many people need to be convinced that they are bullies in the first place.

Poilievre schools another reporter

"The mainstream media has been at war with conservatives for as long as I have been alive, but for most of that time, they have been in such a dominant position that they were able to be relatively subtle about their disgust with the deplorable.
"Before the proliferation of cable channels and the narrowcasting that developed, the media had to pretend to play it down the middle. Would it play in Peoria? was the standard by which they calibrated their pitch. By the Bush years, that standard was breaking down; by 2016, it was out the window.

"During the Trump years, the media began to let their freak flag fly, making it clear that they hated not just Trump but anybody who tolerated him. For years, the media massaged their style to appear fair; since Trump got into the presidential race in 2015, the media’s hatred for all things Republican (not just MAGA) is there for all to see.

"Many Republicans, including myself, appreciated Trump’s willingness to call the media out and confront them. However, unlike many, I don’t think that Trump was nearly as effective at discrediting the media as is supposed. His willingness to confront them and draw out their bias was important, but as with so many things Trump, his supporters loved his insulting media figures, and most others rolled their eyes.

"Trump managed to drag the media figures into the mud with him–which is not nothing–but Trump’s approach had a downside in that it wasn’t persuasive to people who didn’t already agree with him. People wound up either rooting for Trump or for the media, as if it were a sports event.

"His supporters cheered and jeered (I loved watching Trump insult reporters because they richly deserved it), but people in the middle wound up hating both the media and Trump.

Professor Jonathan Turley: The Biden Administration is the Most Anti-Free Speech Administration Since the Administration of John Adams (VIDEO)

The Gateway Pundit | by Mike LaChance

Biden is a tyrant. He is everything the left falsely claimed Trump would be.

0

"George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley recently appeared on FOX News to comment on Biden’s awful speech at Valley Forge where he framed Trump and Trump supporters as a threat to democracy.

"Turley was not impressed by the speech and reminded the audience about Biden’s awful record on free speech.

"According to Turley, the Biden administration is the worst on free speech since the administration of John Adams who left office in 1801.

Townhall reports:

Jonathan Turley Criticizes Biden’s ‘Anti-Free-Speech Administration’

Turley suggested to Fox News that Biden’s speech was hypocritical by talking about the freedom to vote despite his own party attempting to strip Trump’s name from the 2024 ballot.

During his speech in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Biden said that defending democracy was a “central cause” of his administration. However, Turley pointed out that the Democratic Party has gone to great lengths to suppress the constitutional rights of Americans and their freedom to choose who they want running the country.

He lost me in the specifics. He talks about democracy being on the ballot but the ballot isn’t very democratic, his own party is trying to strip ballots of Donald Trump’s name to prevent people who want to vote for what appears to be the leading candidate for the presidency from doing that. So when he’s talking about the freedom to vote and have your vote count, his party is actively trying to prevent that and saying, really, you’re not just voting for me, just think you’re voting for democracy." . . .
