This Is What Living ‘Duty, Honor, Country’ Looks Like -

(RELATED: West Point Leadership Turns Its Back on ‘Duty, Honor, Country’)

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "At a time when the United States Military Academy removed “duty, honor, country” from its mission statement in favor of an abstract word salad about “Army values,” it was refreshing to read of an uber-competent man who lived that motto every day of his long life and career, benefitting America and the world immeasurably.

"As Army chief of staff from late 1939 through the end of World War II, Gen. George C. Marshal displayed organizational and logistical genius in shepherding a tiny, ill-equipped, and outdated army of fewer than 200,000 (in 1939 the American army ranked in size with Bulgaria’s and Portugal’s) into a trained and well-armed citizen army of more than 8 million by the end of 1942. Winston Churchill called Marshall “the organizer of victory” with good reason. The complications and sheer density of logistical, cultural, and political difficulties involved in producing millions of fighting men out of civilians, who before the war had never suspected that places with names like Tobruk, Dunkirk, or Guadalcanal even existed, were enough to make a room full super computers blow their tubes.

Statesman and General

"But we didn’t have supercomputers in 1939 and 1945. We had Marshall, who didn’t fire a shot or hear the cannon’s roar during that largest and most destructive war in human history. Instead, he won the critical Battle of Washington. His victory not only gave America its needed warriors, but with a mobilized American industry, it provided the planes, guns, tanks, ships, and let’s not forget, the Spam and C-rations, required to take the battle to determined, formidable enemies and prevail.

"Like Dwight Eisenhower, Marshall’s service to his country didn’t end when he took off his uniform. He served first as secretary of state and then secretary of defense in the Truman administration. He was a statesman as well as a general.

"As the secretary of state, Marshall was the driver behind the European recovery program — better known as the Marshall Plan — which channeled $13.3 billion ($173 billion in 2023 dollars) to Western Europe. The purpose of the program was to give an economic lift to countries devastated by the war to help ensure that they did not fall into the Soviet orbit. Marshall’s contribution to the program and its success won him the 1953 Nobel Peace Prize.

"These accomplishments are dazzling and well-known to those versed in history. They’re covered in detail in numerous volumes detailing Marshall’s wartime contributions, as well as his hand in picking up the pieces after the guns went silent. But these are not Josiah Bunting’s beat in Making of a Leader. Instead, Bunting takes readers through Marshall’s pre-WWII life to show how he became the man needed and available at America’s most dangerous moment." . . .

Biden, Schumer and the Plot to Overthrow Netanyahu

CarolineGlick.com   "Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is an obstacle to peace and must be replaced. Is he alone among the U.S. government in his efforts to oust the premier? And is there cooperation from forces from within Israel to topple the elected government of Israel? I provide the answers on IN FOCUS."

Palestinian Woman Claimed IDF Raped Gazan Women. It Turns Out The Story Was Fabricated. | The Daily Wire    "The former director-general of the Al Jazeera network, which is essentially a mouthpiece for the Qatar government which hosts the leaders of Hamas, admitted that a story on the site alleging IDF soldiers raped women near the Shifa Hospital complex was false." . . .

Israel’s ‘Iron Wall’: A brief history of the ideology guiding Benjamin Netanyahu (msn.com)     "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled that Israel’s military will soon launch an invasion of Rafah, the city in the southern Gaza Strip. More than 1 million Palestinians, now on the verge of famine, have sought refuge there from their bombed-out cities farther north. Despite U.S. President Joe Biden’s warning against the move, Netanyahu appears, for now, undeterred from his aim to attack Rafah.

The attack is the latest chapter in Israel’s current battle to eliminate Hamas from Gaza.

"But it’s also a reflection of an ideology, known as the “Iron Wall,” that has been part of Israeli political history since before the state’s founding in 1948. The Iron Wall has driven Netanyahu in his career leading Israel for two decades, culminating in the current deadly war that began with a massacre of Israelis and then turned into a humanitarian catastrophe for Gaza’s Palestinians.

"Here is the history of that ideology:" . . .

Speaker Johnson Counters Dem Attacks Against Netanyahu By Inviting Him to Address Congress

  American Greatness

Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials have also made it clear that the two-state solution is dead until the Palestinians are deradicalized. Israeli officials believe they cannot make peace with an enemy that is determined to destroy Israel, and Israeli and Western leaders made a grave mistake after decades of believing otherwise.

"Kudos to House Speaker Mike Johnson, who yesterday extended an invitation to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address the U.S. House of Representatives. This was an important and much-needed gesture to reassure the Israeli people that the vast majority of Americans stand with Israel in its war against the Hamas terrorists and do not agree with the surge in hostility toward the Israeli government by the Biden administration and some Congressional Democrats.

Johnson’s invitation was in response to the backlash over shocking comments made last week by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, describing Netanyahu as an obstacle to peace and calling for new elections in Israel. Schumer also condemned how the Netanyahu government has conducted the war against Hamas and for its opposition to a two-state solution peace plan, which Schumer said will make Israel a “pariah.”

"Schumer’s comments were condemned by Republicans and many Jewish groups. His criticism was so over the top that Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Netanyahu’s chief political rival, criticized Schumer for meddling in Israeli politics when he said, “Israel is a strong democracy, and only its citizens will determine its leadership and future. Any external intervention in the matter is incorrect and unacceptable.”

"Prime Minister Netanyahu, who usually avoids criticizing U.S. officials, lambasted Schumer in an April 17 CNN interview:

" 'It’s inappropriate to go to a sister democracy and try to replace the elected leadership there. That’s something that Israel, the Israeli public, does on its own, and we’re not a banana republic.”

“ 'The majority of Israelis support the policies of my government. It’s not a fringe government. It represents the policies supported by the majority of the people. If Senator Schumer opposes these policies, he’s not opposing me. He’s opposing the people of Israel.” . . .

. . ."Johnson’s invitation was the perfect response to these craven moves by the Biden administration and Schumer to throw Prime Minister Netanyahu under the bus to boost Biden’s reelection chances." . . .

The Great Divorce: 3.7 Million Have Fled Counties That Voted For Biden

 Issues & Insights

"If you want to know what the country thinks about President Joe Biden’s agenda, look at how they vote. Not at the ballot box. But with their feet.

Earlier this month, the Census Bureau released data on “net domestic migration.” This tracks where people are moving between counties in the country. Last year, the 10 counties that gained the most through net migration had one thing in common – they were conservative counties that voted for Donald Trump in 2020.

At the other end of the spectrum, all 10 counties that saw the biggest negative net migration also have one thing in common – they all voted for Biden in 2020. That includes two blue counties located in red states – Miami-Dade County, Florida, (where Biden beat Trump 53%-46%), and Dallas County, Texas, (where Biden got 65% of the vote).

"But this is just part of the story. People have been fleeing liberal counties in droves for each of the past three years.

"I&I conducted a detailed analysis of the latest Census data, comparing migration trends and the 2020 election outcomes for all 3,144 counties. What we found is that Biden-voting counties lost a net of 3.7 million people (3,670,516 to be exact) to Trump-voting counties from 2020 through 2023. (That’s up by more than a million since we did this same analysis last year.)

"In other words, in just the three years after Biden won his election, more than 1% of the population had packed up and moved out of counties that voted for him.

"Here are some more details from our research:" . . .Full article.

Trump New York Bond Cut

American Lookout  "Donald Trump had his bond payment slashed on Monday.

"An appeals court ruled that Trump can have 10 more days to meet the bond amount – the amount was also lowered to $175 million.

"CNN reported:

The order from the New York appeals court Monday means that former President Donald Trump and his sons can still run a business in New York and obtain loans from New York financial institutions for the moment.

The appeals court’s order gives Trump 10 more days to post his bond to satisfy the civil fraud judgement and cut the amount necessary to $175 million.

Judge Arthur Engoron’s court-ordered monitor and the appointment of a compliance director for Trump’s company will remain in place, however.

"Donald Trump responded to the news on Truth Social.

"Trump said, “We will abide by the decision of the Appellate Division, and post either a bond, equivalent securities, or cash. This also shows how ridiculous and outrageous Engoron’s original decision was at $450 Million.”

Truth Social:

Judge Engoron has refused to obey the decision of the Appellate Division relative to the Statute of Limitations. This is a confrontation between a Judge and those that rule above him – A very bad situation in which to place New York State and the Rule of Law! Engoron has disrespected the Appellate Division and its very clear and precise ruling. He should be made to do so, and at the same time, release the GAG ORDER. This is the 5th time in this case that he has been overturned, a record. His credibility, and that of Letitia James, has been shattered. We will abide by the decision of the Appellate Division, and post either a bond, equivalent securities, or cash. This also shows how ridiculous and outrageous Engoron’s original decision was at $450 Million. I DID NOTHING WRONG, AND NEW YORK SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN A POSITION LIKE THIS AGAIN. BUSINESSES ARE FLEEING, VIOLENT CRIME IS FLOURISHING, AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THIS BE RESOLVED IN ITS TOTALITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU!

CNN host says 'world is upside down' as Michigan poll shows Trump ahead by 20 points on Israel-Gaza

Story by Alexander Hall  CNN host Dana Bash marveled Friday at how former President Trump is leading against President Biden on most key issues in Michigan, most notably on the Israel-Gaza war.

"Bash spoke about polling conducted in Michigan and Pennsylvania showing Trump leading in the Great Lakes State and the presumptive candidates tied in the Keystone State.

"She said that if Trump wins both, Biden cannot afford to lose any other swing states, such as "Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, or Nebraska’s second congressional district, or he will not win the White House."

"The news host went on to express shock that "abortion and democracy" are "the only two issues" where Biden has an advantage in both states.

"Then you look at other issues: U.S and world affairs, economy, immigration, Israel/Gaza, Trump has an advantage and it's actually- if you look at the Israel-Gaza question, the fact that Trump has a 20-point advantage in Michigan. I mean, the world is upside down," she said." . . .

MICHIGAN ARABS AND MUSLIM COMMUNITY WORK TO BEAT BIDEN IN 2024 RACE: BIDEN 'THINKS WE'RE BLUFFING'

The Biden administration goes to war against Israel

 Andrea Widburg - American Thinker

So remember, if you vote for anyone but Trump (and this is true whether you like Trump or not), you are voting to keep in office a man who is literally siding with the Nazis of 2024.  Biden's base pictured here:

"Godwin’s Law says that “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1.” But when it comes to Hamas, its similarities with Nazis are unavoidable. Like the Nazis, Hamas is quite literally violently antisemitic, anti-Christian, anti-American, anti-homosexual, sadistic, and genocidal. Yet these are the people with whom the Biden administration is siding because that’s what his hardcore base supports, especially in Michigan and Wisconsin.

"Jews have continuously occupied the same land in the Middle East for 4,000 years. Between the time that the Roman conquest defeated the Kingdom of Judah in 70 A.D. and the founding of the renewed Nation of Israel in 1948, there was no nation on that land. Instead, over the centuries, it was a colony of Rome, the Umayyads, the Abassids, the Crusaders, the Ayyubids, the Mamluks, the Ottomans, and the British. But the Jews were always there." . . .

. . ."
However, to placate his base, Biden is doing everything he can to save Hamas so that it can fight again. That’s why, on Sunday, Biden sent out Kamala Harris, the great military strategist who has “studied the maps,” to threaten Israel should Israel win the war against the Nazis on her border:" . . .  Biden's base pictured at top.

. . ."One suspects that Israeli military officials and office-holders might have studied these maps, and these broader issues, slightly more thoroughly than Kamala Harris. And although Americans were slaughtered on October 7th, with several still being held hostage by the terrorists, Israel's leaders have much more at stake in Gaza than Harris does. They have a massive body count to avenge, and a promised genocide to prevent. They have more than just skin in the game; this is existential for them. But Harris and friends are tut-tutting about Israel doing what it must, with many Western journalists seemingly focused on whether there will be "consequences" if Israel pursues its core interests. Hamas being allowed to survive, after what it has done and despite what its leaders vow to keep doing, is treated as an afterthought. Eradicating Hamas is actually the issue, and Israel's entirely righteous and necessary objective." . . .
. . .If some Gazans are starving, despite Israeli efforts, that is 100 percent the explicit and unambiguous fault of Hamas.  Letting them off the hook, and putting the impetus on Israel -- as usual -- is disgraceful.  It's worth noting that AOC's 'Squad' sister, anti-Semitic terror apologist Rashida Tlaib, is even opposing a temporary ceasefire that would allow for humanitarian assistance.  That's how committed she is to Hamas' continued existence."

Douglas Murray vs. anti-Israel "journalist"

This ignorant Israel-hating woman hasn’t got a clue. Kudos to Douglas Murray for putting this rude woman in her place because of her spreading the same wilful ignorance permeating school campuses and political parties. The Tunnel Dweller

One commenter asks: "She exemplifies the left in that she refuses to answer questions when asked. She completely ignored the fact that not even Egypt would permit Gazan Arabs to enter and that Israel provides them medical care.

"I would like to ask Douglas where did Hamas obtain the material and equipment to create the six to seven hundred kilometers of tunneling and the infrastructure in which to operate it."

California Synagogue Leases Space to Mosque to ‘Ease Tensions,’ But a Lovefest Doesn't Exactly Break Out

 Robert Spencer – PJ Media

"The Islamic Society of West Valley, in contrast, was not so eager to abandon its own beliefs in order to make friends with the Jews. “Soon after the Islamic Society began using Hamakom’s facility, it hosted anti-Israel activist Hussam Ayloush, who said last year that Israel did not have a right to defend itself following the Oct. 7 attack and compared Israel to Nazi Germany.' ”

"Hamakom synagogue, a conservative congregation in Los Angeles, has just gotten a bracing introduction to the reality beneath the surface of efforts at “outreach” and “dialogue”: it leased its facility to a local Muslim group, only to have it host a viciously anti-Israel speaker who has refused to condemn Hamas and likened the Jewish state to National Socialist Germany. Yeah, tensions are really eased now.

"The Washington Free Beacon reported Monday that Hamakom “axed its leadership and is struggling to retain members” after leasing its main facility to the Islamic Society of West Valley. The synagogue “entered into an agreement with the Islamic Society that allowed it to take over the synagogue’s main campus, pushing Jewish members onto a smaller satellite branch. "

"The synagogue leadership did this in the hopes it would build bridges with Muslims in Los Angeles: “In this time of rising anti-Semitism and Islamophobia,” synagogue leaders told the congregation, “it is incumbent upon us to reach out to strengthen the bonds between religious communities in our neighborhood, recognizing there is more that unites us than divides us.” Almost immediately, however, their starry-eyed hopes of bridging the gap of centuries of hatred and suspicion, and showing the Muslims of Los Angeles that Jews weren’t really “the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe,” as the Qur’an says (5:82), were dashed.

"Yet Hamakon gave its all to this effort. The synagogue leadership allowed the Muslims to use the building every night, while the Jews themselves “would only be allowed to worship in two rooms from 8 p.m. to midnight. Evening programs and Friday night Sabbath services were also relocated to a smaller site also owned by the synagogue.” Even worse, “in anticipation of the lease’s commencement, the synagogue’s leadership covered up pictures of Israeli hostages captured by Hamas during its Oct. 7 attack on Israel.”

"Yes, you read that right. It wasn’t the mosque that covered up the pictures of Israeli hostages. It was the synagogue leadership, showing that they were so avid to build bridges with the Muslim group that they were willing to abandon their own principles and basic standards of human decency to do so." . . .

So on the one side, we have a coarse and brutish propagandist spreading blood libels against the Jews. On the other side, we have leftist Jews so anxious to be friendly to Muslims that they give over their premises to a mosque that brings in this same hateful propagandist to speak. What’s wrong with this picture? If leftist Jews in Los Angeles had listened to what Pamela Geller was trying to tell them in 2012, they wouldn’t be in this fix.

They all laughed - Don Surber

 Substack

"That’s right. You can bonk someone in the head and walk out of jail without posting a bond but for Trump, the rules are different. Rather than stand up to this injustice, the American media embraces it and applauds his loss of liberty."

"I have underestimated the lack of intelligence of the media whores in DC, perhaps because in my brief 35 years in newspapering I worked with publishers and editors who could walk and chew gum at the same time. But Byron York’s reporting on a DC shindig showed just how tiny the brains are in the media.

"York reported, “Democrats hope a guilty verdict in a criminal trial — any trial will do — will peel away voters who say they support Trump now but would not support him if he were a convicted felon. We’ll see.

“ 'But the lawfare campaign is already having another effect on Trump. It has put the former president under severe financial stress in two ways. The first is the tens of millions of dollars in legal fees Trump has already spent defending himself against the onslaught of criminal charges and lawsuits. The other is the crippling financial penalty, $454 million, in the lawsuit brought by the elected Democrat attorney general of New York, Letitia James.”

"On top of that, there is that $83 million judgment against him for denying he raped E. Jean Carroll, a fabulist funded by a bulky billionaire to bleed Trump dry with these unprecedented and unconstitutional civil suits.

"Forbes reported, “Billionaire LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman funded E. Jean Carroll’s prosecution alleging former President Donald Trump raped her, through a nonprofit group the major Democratic donor backs; now that a jury has found Trump guilty of sexual abuse, some have questioned Hoffman’s role in the process—here’s what it looked like.”'

"The details were interesting and revealed that Hoffman also funded other similar lawsuits." . . .

John F. Kennedy Would Not Recognize Today`s Democratic Party

Religio-Political Talk (RPT)  "What Dennis Prager was asking James Swanson (audio below) was “what about the newer understanding that JFK was conservative?” (Prager has always echoed Reagan’s statement: “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.” This fresh look at history supports this long held belief  by many ex-Dems.) When historians go through Kennedy’s speeches and candid confessions, as well as policy, they are more-and-more coming to the following conclusion:

"A short excerpt from an article by Ira Stoll, in the October 2013 edition of THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR, . . .

…."WHAT I TAKE to be the truth about John Kennedy and his conservatism has, in the years since he died, been forgotten. This is partly because of the work of liberal historians and partly due to changes in America’s major political parties. Yet calling Kennedy a conservative was hardly controversial during his lifetime. “A Kennedy Runs for Congress: The Boston-bred scion of a former ambassador is a fighting-Irish conservative,” Look headlined an article in June 1946. “When young, wealthy and conservative John Fitzgerald Kennedy announced for Congress, many people wondered why,” the story began. “Hardly a liberal even by his own standards, Kennedy is mainly concerned by what appears to him as the coming struggle between collectivism and capitalism. In speech after speech he charges his audience ‘to battle for the old ideas with the same enthusiasm that people have for new ideas.’”

"The Chicago Tribune reported Kennedy’s election to the U.S. Senate in 1952 by describing him as a “fighting conservative.” In a June 1953 Saturday Evening Post article, Kennedy said, “I’d be very happy to tell them I’m not a liberal at all,” adding, speaking of liberals, “I’m not comfortable with those people.” In 1958, Eleanor Roosevelt was asked in a television interview what she would do if she had to choose between a “conservative Democrat like Kennedy and a liberal Republican [like] Rockefeller.” She said she would do all she possibly could to make sure the Democrats did not nominate a candidate like Kennedy." . . .
