Respect no more: The Democrats’ new trait; In the grand theater of American politics, respect used to be the unbreakable script; under the Democrats’ direction though, it’s been rewritten as a farce.

 Mike Robertson - American Thinker

"The Democrats’ boycott? Just another nail in their coffin of contempt. If they won’t stand for victims, why should we stand for them?"

"In the grand theater of American politics, respect used to be the unbreakable script. But under the Democrats’ direction, it’s been rewritten as a farce. President Trump’s recent State of the Union address is a perfect example. Originally designed to unite the nation, the event exposed the raw contempt festering in the Democrat ranks. Dozens boycotted the event outright, rallying outside like protesters rather than statesmen. Nevertheless, the majority still bothered to show up, but they sat stone-faced, refusing to stand even for the victims of heinous crimes: both Americans and immigrants, slaughtered by the very criminals their “progressive” policies shield.

"This wasn’t just about snubbing Trump. It was a slap to the face of grieving families. Trump honored Anna Zarutska, whose daughter Iryna, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, who fled Putin’s war only to find horror here, was brutally stabbed on a Charlotte light rail train. The killer? DeCarlos Brown Jr., a career criminal with a rap sheet longer than a welfare line, released time and again thanks to no-cash bail madness pushed by Democrat-run cities. Iryna was slashed in broad daylight, her life ended in seconds by a “deranged monster” who should have been locked up. As the chamber rose in applause for her memory, Democrats stayed glued to their seats. No respect for the dead. No acknowledgment of the failure. Just cold, calculated indifference.

"This spectacle isn’t isolated. It’s the symptom of a deeper rot: the total collapse of respect within the modern Democrat party. Respect for opponents? Forget it. Respect for law and order? A joke. Respect for human life? Only if it fits their narrative.

"Look no further than the tragedy in Providence, Rhode Island. There, Stanislaw Kozav, 49, and his 75-year-old mother Irina froze to death in their car outside a hospital parking lot. These Ukrainian nationals had escaped the bombs in their homeland, seeking the American Dream. Instead, they met the nightmare of neglect. Homeless, living out of their vehicle amid a brutal cold snap, they perished from exposure — possibly worsened by health issues, but undeniably ignored by a system that prioritizes everything but vulnerable whites like them.

"Why the silence? Because in Democrat eyes, these victims don’t count. Their skin color doesn’t align with the identity politics playbook. In that “Blue bastion state,” had they been Afro-American, Hispanic, or “undocumented” migrant, they’d get the red-carpet treatment: housing vouchers, legal aid, the works. But white refugees from Ukraine? Expendable. This is the “equity” they preach: a twisted hierarchy where respect is rationed by race and votes." . . .More...

My Take on the News of the Moment; Don't Like Any of It

 Phyllis Chesler Organization

"NYC's new mayor is an out-and-out Islamist even more so than a democratic socialist. This is what the Red-Green alliance looks and sounds like. On Mamdani's very first day in office, he jettisoned the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism/anti-Zionism and lifted preexisting restrictions on boycotting Israel."

"I'm on record about refusing to jump on the breaking news and jumping up and down with righteous indignation about it all. I know: It's a very retro position to have. So--here's what I'm thinking about our sad and sorry world.

"First: Isn't the endless rollout of the Epstein scandal and the ties he had to American universities truly a diversion, a deft way of failing to acknowledge that Arab oil money has spent many billions over a 50-year period to take over and take down American education? Why not at least mention that there is far more than one toxic influencer at work here?

"Second: What is this three-week non-stop coverage about Nancy Guthrie's disappearance really about? What dark and voyeuristic passion does such coverage feed? What I'm asking is this: While many thousands of non-violent Iranian protestors have been murdered on the streets and in their hospital beds; while the Taliban have legalized slavery (what can they possibly mean by this since all their women are already enslaved?); while many thousands of Ukrainians have been murdered in a four-year aggressive war launched by Czar Putin; while Israelis are being forced to permanently fight a non-stop war against barbarians (who still refuse to disarm, who are still storing their weapons in hospitals); while murderous and verbal attacks against Jews around the world continue to escalate--my God! And it's Nancy Guthrie 24/7. (Of course, may she soon be found unharmed and may the Iranian mullahcracy evaporate, etc.)

"Third: Europe--which is no more--has been Islamified, and there is no turning back and yet, Europeans still continue with their Jew hatred, now cleverly disguised as anti-Zionism. Oh yeah. Take the ongoing Olympics. The entire Israeli bobsled team, first time contenders, had their uniquely fitted gear, shoes, passport, and suitcases stolen as well as their money--but there's more. As the Israeli bobsled team stormed down the slope, the Olympics’ Swiss announcer kept talking about the Israeli "genocide in Gaza," etc. (The truth is I cannot forget the 1972 Olympics in Munich and the Muslim terrorist murder of Israeli champions and, for that matter, the 1936 Olympics in Berlin as we all saw, courtesy of that Monster propagandist--Leni Riefenstahl--the film Olympia).

"Fourth: Talking about the Swiss: When are they ever going to relinquish all their Nazi bank accounts, stolen from Jews during the Holocaust? They insist on the importance of protecting the privacy of their depositors just as hotly and righteously as the Free Speech fanatics in America, who go to great lengths to protect the right of hate speech but who do not fight for the rights of truth speech.

"Fifth: Why, oh, why was Bad Bunny's half time performance so widely praised? What am I missing? Oh, yes. Retro me did not appreciate his grabbing his crotch, or the half-naked gyrating girls on display, or the fact that he sang completely in Spanish (no subtitles--and I love Spanish songs, Spanish singers, etc.) but what was his message? That South America exists? Who ever questioned that? That it is the better part of the United States? That immigrants from South America deserve citizenship even if they are drug lords, murderers, human traffickers? Help me out here.

"Sixth: When will President Trump really understand that negotiations with radical, political Muslims and Jihadists can never, ever be trusted? I could say a lot more here but will stop for now. I welcome all your views on this particular matter." . . .More...

Billy Eilish made a harsh allegation, one that is echoed in schools and universities across America. It needs to be unpacked.

 M. E. Boyd - American Thinker

"Pope Alexander VI, in 1493 AD, declared it lawful to “discover” inhabited lands and declared an International Doctrine of Discovery for any Christian prince to ownership, with occupancy rights granted to the indigenous."

"At a recent Grammy Awards ceremony, Billie Eilish stated publicly that “no one is illegal on stolen land.” This statement implies that the United States was unlawfully created and, therefore, any national laws regarding the illegal entrance of aliens into the country are invalid. This is a very big issue. If the United States was unlawfully created (different from unfortunately created), a case could be made that the land that now comprises its sovereign borders should revert to the indigenous people then living within those boundaries, or in the alternative, be allowed to be claimed by majorities pouring into its undefended borders—a type of siege.

Was the United States lawfully created?

It was lawfully created if one accepts the premises of Western Civilization, Christianity, and the notion of advances in civilization. It is thought that indigenous American tribes existed in the continental United States for thousands of years. Some scholars put that number at 23,000 years. This occupancy consisted of hundreds of tribes with spheres of influence over certain lands, but not individual ownership of parcels of land. These tribes mostly existed at a subsistence level, with advanced skills in survival crops and surface-level metallurgy—especially gold and copper.

Western Civilization grew out of Greek and Roman thought and practices, combined with the introduction and acceptance of Christianity, and incorporated the notion of advancement over subsistence, including the development of the person morally and intellectually. Christianity encouraged the curious, the industrious, and the innovative as discoverers of God’s creation.

The Biblical notion of man’s fallen nature shrouds Western thinking, a constant swimming upstream as advances are developed and then debauched. The word “lawful” includes this moral component. What may be legal must also be lawful in the Christian belief system.

How can what is the continental United States be legally “discovered” if peoples are already living on the land?

Minn. Parishioner Sues Don Lemon over Church Riot |

 Headline USA

"Lemon has insisted he was merely acting as a journalist documenting the incident, not an activist, even as his own livestream showed him embedded with the group before they entered the church and as they discussed their plans"

. . . "One of the parishioners who endured the vicious riot inside Cities Church has sued former CNN anchor-turned-YouTuber Don Lemon over the “severe emotional distress” she sustained during the chaos.

"Ann Doucette, a Minnesota churchgoer, said she was inside Cities Church on Jan. 18 when Lemon and a group of radical agitators broke in to protest ICE, according to The Minnesota Star Tribune.

"Doucette alleged in a federal lawsuit that the disruption interfered with her constitutional right to freely exercise her religion and resulted in “severe emotional distress, fear, anxiety and trauma.”

"Representing herself, Doucette is seeking monetary damages for trespass, civil conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress and interference with religious exercise.

"She is also asking a federal judge to bar the defendants from entering the church or disrupting future services.

"The lawsuit details how the agitators took over the church after learning that Cities Church pastor David Easterwood also served as a top ICE official in Minnesota.

"The agitators chanted “ICE Out!” and “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

"According to a federal indictment against Lemon, some of the rioters also approached a child and told him that their parents were “nazis” and that the church was a house of worship for the devil.

"Doucette lists nine individuals as defendants, including Lemon, left-wing agitator Nekima Levy Armstrong and self-described “journalist” Georgia Fort.

"The other defendants are Will Kelly, St. Paul School Board Member Chauntyll Allen, Jerome Richardson, Trahern Crews and Jamael Lundy." . . . More...

Shocking Vid of Wrong Way Truck Driver in MO - 'Trucking Co.' Address Will Make Your Blood Boil (Updated)

  Becky Noble – RedState

Some outfit called Trustburn gives them four stars out of five.

"It's an issue that seems to have no end. Illegal immigrants driving 80,000-pound, fully loaded 18-wheelers across the nation, who barely speak English and cannot read road signs. Dozens of Americans have been injured or killed on America's highways because of these illegal immigrants who entered the country because of Joe Biden's open border. It's one thing to read about these tragedies that never should have taken place. It is quite another when you see it happening. In this case, it is nothing short of a miracle that there was not another fatality." . . .

Inside Hitler's Berlin Flak Tower

 The History Underground

"One of the scariest places for a person to be in WWII was in a B-17 over the skies of Berlin. To protect the capital city, Hitler had ordered the construction of a set of flak towers that were to send up deadly fire to any airman flying above. One of these was at Humboldthain Park in Gesundbrunnen. In this episode, we're touring the inside of one of these flak towers and with us is an artifact from a German flak gunner in WWII."

Looks like Trump's SOTU really did move the needle

CNN Poll: By Golly, Trump Moved the Needle Last Night

The night did create this GOP ad at Election Wizard...

"Policies? Did Donald Trump discuss policies last night, or just expose Democrats as radicals?

"The correct answer is ... yes. Trump can do a lot in two hours, especially when his political opponents keep slipping on all of the banana peels he drops. Trump spent more than twenty minutes of the speech detailing his economic agenda and proposing new efforts to reduce prices and provide growth. That came just before Trump set his trap on immigration, and before Democrats stumbled into another on crime.

"CNN polled viewers who watched the marathon event, and found that Trump made solid gains on the policy front:" . . .

SOTU Poll Stunner: A 27-Point Gain in Voters Who Think We’re Moving in the Right Direction – PJ Media

"Just before the SOTU, when anticipation was at its highest, 54% thought we were moving in the right direction. And then, by the time Trump’s speech was over, the number hit 64% "

"What’s fresh in our minds today — and what will be top-of-mind tomorrow, next week, next month, and first Tuesday of November — will almost certainly all differ. That’s why snapshot poll numbers tend to be exaggerated, misleading, and unhelpful: Until the dust settles, the data just isn’t relevant.

"Instead of focusing on polls, campaigns should focus on creating magical moments that wormhole into our psyche — those indelible images that linger forever. And in the State of the Union, at the very top of that list:

As war looms, indicted al-Qaeda chief has been under Iranian regime's protection for years

  Just The News

"Nukes, missiles, terrorist proxies — and al-Qaeda? The Iranian regime's seemingly unlikely partnership with the jihadist group has been largely unremarked upon in the lead up to possible war."

"As a war between the United States and Iran seems possible, the Shiite theocratic Iranian regime continues to shield one of the leaders of the Sunni jihadist terrorist group responsible for the 9/11 attacks, with the FBI's "Most Wanted" Saif al-Adel running the global terror network under Tehran's protection.

"Saif, a longtime leader in al-Qaeda since the 1990s and a former close ally of Osama bin Laden, took over al-Qaeda in the 2022 timeframe in the wake of the deaths of the terrorist group’s two prior leaders: founder Bin Laden, who was killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan in 2011, and his successor Ayman al-Zawahiri, who was killed in Kabul by a U.S. drone strike in 2022 following the Taliban conquest of Afghanistan.

"Saif, who was indicted in the Southern District of New York in 1998 for his role in al-Qaeda’s deadly bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa that year and who fled to Iran after 9/11 and perhaps even earlier, is assessed to have taken over as al-Qaeda’s top leader following Zawahiri’s death a few years ago.

"President Donald Trump appears to be moving toward striking Iran, with the U.S. military moving significant assets into the region, as the president insists he would prefer to strike a deal with the Iranian regime but that, if it comes to war, his top general has told him “it will be something easily won.”

"Much of the discussion around possible conflict has focused on the Iranian regime’s nuclear program, its ballistic missiles, and its support for terrorist proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis — but little attention has been paid to Iran hosting al-Qaeda operatives, including its newest chief, inside the country for many years." . . .More...

Cheap Gas & 6 Other Victories Dems Refused To Cheer At SOTU  . . . The Duty of American Government Is to Protect American Citizens

"The show-stopping moment came when the president invited members of Congress to affirm their most basic obligation to the American people.

“Tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

"It appeared that not a single Democrat stood up to affirm his loyalty to the American people." . . .

The Donald’s Brand-Building – And Bulldozing – State Of The Union Spectacular  – Issues & Insights

. . . "How can a major political party be so dense as to traipse into such an obvious trap – as they also did on the SAVE Act requiring voter ID, favored by nine in 10 voters, and on legislation to “ensure that violent and dangerous repeat offenders are put behind bars and … stay there”?

"The answer can be found in a similar reaction to another Trumpian challenge. “Surely we can all agree,” intoned 45/47: “No state can be allowed to rip children from their parents arms and transition them to a new gender against the parents’ will.”

"Trump knows Democrats cannot and even dare not agree with such common-sense propositions – held hostage as they are by a radical fringe for whom to cede ground on nonsense notions is to admit to their wackiness.

"His opposition having taken the bait again, The Donald slammed the door shut: “Look, nobody stands up. These people are crazy.”

"Yes, it’s a long way to Nov. 3, and much can happen in the 301 24-hour news cycles in that interval. But in not just putting on a spectacle, but goading deranged Democrats to make a spectacle of themselves, the president neatly laid the groundwork to keep his party in power and his program for American renewal in place." . . . More...

Brandon Gill Maps Out What GOP Should Do To Counter Democratic Turnout

 The Daily Caller

Gill

"Republican Texas Rep. Brandon Gill on Tuesday laid out a roadmap for how the GOP can match Democratic enthusiasm at the ballot box.

"During a segment on “The Ingraham Angle,” host Laura Ingraham pointed to a surge in Democratic mail-in ballots, noting that roughly 483,000 Democrats had already cast ballots by mail as of Sunday, compared to about 446,000 Republicans. She pressed Gill on how the GOP base can stay motivated if lawmakers in Washington fail to advance priorities important to conservative voters.

“ 'How does this base get fired up if the folks in this building do not pass stuff that the conservative base wants?” Ingraham asked.

“ 'Well that’s the key. It’s for us to get our voters actually excited to vote for Republican congressmen and women. The voters are excited about President Trump,” Gill said. “What we need to show is that in Congress, we can actually carry out the Trump agenda effectively, get the Save Act passed, codify the President’s border policies, continue cutting waste, fraud and abuse from the federal government, going after these crazy Somalian populations who are sucking up welfare that the American people are sick of.”

"Gill warned that Republicans cannot afford complacency as Democrats surge in early voting, saying the GOP must aggressively advance its agenda to stay competitive. (RELATED: Brit Hume Pinpoints What Could Give Texas Senate Seat To Democrats)

“'That’s the kind of thing that we need to be doing. And if we do, I think we’re going to be just fine in November. But that is a big if for us. We’ve got our work cut out for us,” Gill added." . . . More...

Why libs hate the US men’s hockey team

Not a Megan Rapinoe or a Colin Kaepernick in the bunch. TD

 Pete McArdle - American Thinker

"What, above all, accounts for the incredible ire and invective hurled at the gold-medal-winning men’s hockey team?  The players publicly showed love for their country."

"Never before has so much spleen been vented over so little. A bunch of red-blooded guys from the states play a bruising and exciting game of hockey over in Milan, Italy, and when they win in overtime, the loony American left explodes in disgust.

"Now, why would “liberals,” and I use that word loosely, have and express so much hatred for a bunch of fellow Americans who just play hockey and play it well?

"Let me count the ways.

"The U.S. hockey team was overwhelmingly white; no diversity was to be found. The folks who chose the squad failed to include any blacks, any obvious Chinese-Americans, any Puerto Rican rappers who wear dresses, and certainly no dyslexic, transgender dwarves. This disturbing lack of DEI came about because the players were chosen based on merit, i.e., their ability to play, much like the almost all-black NBA.

"Sadly, the U.S. hockey team was also toxically masculine. They were not afraid to trade elbows, and totally unconcerned about leaving blood and tooth fragments on the ice. They were there to win, regardless of the personal sacrifice. Don’t forget that after Jack Hughes lost teeth from a high Canadian stick, and before he scored the winning goal, cherubic Jack returned the favor, giving a Canuck player a good taste of his stick and earning Hughes time in the penalty box.

"The men’s hockey team also failed to follow the equally successful U.S. women’s hockey team’s lead, by snubbing President Trump’s invite to the White House and the SOTU speech.

"The lady hockey players, before disappearing into total obscurity for the next four years—and some of them, forever—brazenly told a sitting American president, “New phone, who dis?”

"Hair to do, nails to polish, a pressing term paper coming due, no doubt. The foolish men’s team, on the other hand, couldn’t wait to visit the White House and the Capitol building." . . .More...

Who are these people, heckling Trump, and refusing to stand for America's heroes?

"Who can watch the ugly expressions of the faces of so many of those Democrats, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, etc., and not wonder, “Who are these people?'”  Patricia McCarthy

There is something terribly, horribly wrong with the current crop of Democrats - American Thinker . . . "This was true before Trump’s glorious State of the Union speech Tuesday night, but their behavior during and outside of it further exposed the death of any loyalty they ever had to this nation.

"They behaved badly during last year’s SOTU, refusing to stand for the victims of illegal migrant murders or the little boy who was surviving brain cancer.  They are a hardhearted bunch.

"They were no better during this speech.  Again, they did not stand for many of the most obvious moments in the speech that were a test of basic morality.

"Bottom line?  No matter what the issue, even the protection of American citizens over illegal aliens, they sat on their hands, demonstrating for all that they fervently disagree with any of the successful and positive policies Trump has implemented.

“ 'Stand up if you believe that the government’s priority should be protecting Americans over illegal immigrants,” Trump said. Not one of them stood. That was when Trump commented that they should be ashamed of themselves.

"Indeed.  How to explain their lack of essential American values?  Of fundamental decency?  They proved beyond all doubt that they do revere illegal migrants into this country over law-abiding American citizens.

"The Democrats did not stand when Trump indicted the insane and cruel mutilation of people who suffer from gender dysphoria.  That is when President Trump remarked that “These people are crazy.”

"Yes, they are.  They are worse than crazy.  There is something so very wrong with elected officials who embrace such madness.  But then we already knew they were descending into a demented state. " . . .

"The country is so much better off since Trump was re-elected, and that fact makes the reasons for the Democrats’ rage and fury obvious.  He has brought the country back from the brink to which Obama/Biden took us.  They stupidly defended, even celebrated, Biden’s policies, even though they certainly knew he was gone mentally and that his open border was a disaster that may well never be completely undone' ".   More...
