90 year old veterans storm the Barrycades  "However the World War ll veterans, many of whom arrive at the Memorial on Honor Flights, complimentary flights from across the country paid for by grateful citizens, ignored the Barrycades.  Having endured the horrors of freezing European winters while bombarded by German soldiers or survived the terrors of a Japanese prison camp in their youth, the now 90 year old plus veterans weren't about to surrender to a petty Commander in Chief."

How much does it cost to block all this off compared to just leaving it as is? Hell hath no fury like a petulant juvenile president scorned.

friend:

Age 76 Today, I went to the Dr. for my monthly B12 shot that I have been getting for a number of years. The nurse came and got me, got out the needle filled and ready to go then looked at the computer and got very quiet and asked if I was prepared to pay for it. I said no that my insurance takes care of it.
She said, that Medicare had turned it down and went to talk to my Dr. about it. 15 minutes later she came back and said, she was sorry but they had tried every-thing they could but Medicare is beginning to
turn many things away for seniors because of the projected Obama Care coming in. She was brushing at tears and said, "Some day they too will get old", I am so very sorry!!

WWII Veterans Plan To Storm Lincoln Memorial Today  "Both memorials are open air memorials. The Lincoln Memorial is open 24 hours a day, normally. If you’ll recall, it was wide open to having someone throw green paint on it in the evening a few months ago.
"So that means the Obama administration is making a conscious effort to spend more in time and money to shut off something which is normally open."

Think about this: why the expense of putting barricades around an open-air memorial? If push comes to shove, I can hear Jay Carney now; "The president first learned of this on the news this morning and took action to see that our honored veterans could tour the memorial."
Obama will say he learned of this the same way we did; on MSNBC this morning.
