Media in Full Spin Mode to Cover for Biden’s Failures

Rich Terrell

Media in Full Spin Mode to Cover for Biden’s Failures   "Joe Biden’s presidency is spiraling out of control. By any reasonable metric he has failed as a commander in chief. He has failed on immigration, he has failed on the economy, he has failed to create jobs, he has failed on foreign policy, he has failed on handling the pandemic, he has failed to unite the country, and he has failed as a leader. But that’s not what the mainstream media would have us believe."  . . .

A Self-Loathing Ruling Class Cannot Endure   "The U.S. now has an official regime of lies, supported by an almost worthlessly dishonest media, and scores of millions of Americans brainwashed into the false view that they live in an evil country."  Conrad Black

Lest we forget Joe Biden’s past:  THE HEROIC ADVENTURES OF SUPER JOE

Joe Biden fibs all the time. He tells these glorious tales and he is always the hero of the story.

"Alana Goodman summarized six events Biden used to put himself into as a hero. Her investigative report is well worth reading on this link.

"Here is one of the six:

"While running for president in 2008, Biden told the United Mine Workers that he was a coal miner." . . .

Joe Biden is proving even more of a ‘master of disaster’ than Jimmy Carter

NY Post

Gas prices were already on the rise under Biden before the cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline led to long lines at the pump. It now costs $1.05 more per gallon than it did a year ago. With Biden closing the Keystone XL Pipeline on his first day in office and generally vowing to wage war on all fossil fuels, it’s no wonder there’s uncertainty and higher prices.

. . . "But barely four months into his presidency, it’s disaster after disaster as Biden wastes every opportunity his predecessor left him. US consumer confidence fell unexpectedly this month as rising prices, a hiring slowdown and energy uncertainty hit hard. On Friday, the University of Michigan said its Index of Consumer Sentiment declined to 82.8, from 88.3 in April. Economists had predicted it would rise to 90.4.
" It wasn’t the first disappointment for prognosticators this month. Economists expected the country to tack on 1 million jobs in April after seeing gains of 770,000 in March. Instead, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported just 266,000, as the unemployment rate rose to 6.1 percent.
" And then it announced that consumer prices rose 4.2 percent year-over-year in April — far worse than economists had predicted. It was the largest such jump since September 2008, when the financial crisis was at its height. Oh, and core inflation rose 0.8 percent from March to April, the biggest rise in nearly four decades.
"You can thank Biden’s focus on expanding government at the expense of everyone else. Democrats (alone) passed his $1.9 trillion COVID “relief” bill — which had little to do with either — in March, as things were finally picking up. Throwing money into the economy without much consideration of its necessity directly led to the inflation we’re seeing now, with the money supply up by 25 percent over last year." . . .

UPDATED: A Major CNN Host Appears to Lose His Primetime Show in Sudden, Perplexing Announcement...?

Before you buy it, read on...Fake news is what CNN does!

 RedState

"CNN’s Don Lemon, one of the most biased “journalists” in news, is losing his primetime show, or at least that’s what it sounded like when he made this weird, cryptic announcement Friday night.

"Lemon pointedly says “this is the last night that we’ll be ‘CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.'” He then goes on to say he “appreciates all the years,” but that “changes are coming.” It’s vague, but it’s not that vague. It certainly seems like he’s losing his show.

"That would make sense, given his ratings are absolutely in the dumpster. As I wrote recently, CNN across the board is down, getting trounced by Fox News and MSNBC. But Lemon’s show is one of the worst (see CNN’s Ratings Enter Smoking Crater Territory). He’s been getting more than doubled up by Greg Gutfeld’s new comedy show, and Laura Ingraham continues to best Lemon by a wide margin in his first hour, as well.

"Shortly after the announcement, though, Lemon added the confusion by saying he’s not leaving CNN and that it’s “not what you think.” . . .

CNN's Don Lemon says anti-Trump rhetoric doesn’t make him biased

. . . "Just last month, CNN’s in-house media critic Brian Stelter was put on the spot when a teenage journalist asked about the network’s overly opinionated anchors." . . .

“I didn’t say I was leaving CNN. I just said it was the end of an era for CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.”

UPDATE  5/16/2021:Desperate Don Lemon 'apologizes' after teasing ‘end’ of his show in duplicitous publicity stunt  "Is planting misleading innuendo about oneself a good tool to sell the services of an information provider? In what other product category does one openly debase the quality as a means of gathering attention?

"Tucker Carlson, whose viewership is more than 4 times that of Don Lemon’s, likes to characterize the CNN host as stupid. That label certainly applies to the publicity stunt trick Lemon pulled on Friday night: . . ."

. . . "This is dumbest publicity stunt since the International House of Pancakes falsely claimed it was changing its name to the International House of Burgers, only to reveal a month later that it was a publicity stunt. But at least IHOP sells food, not information. Lemon was debasing his own product with his misleading innuendo."

Jews have been murdered in millions across the world, but no more

Legal Insurrection  "The Jerusalem Post reported the brilliant Israeli ruse that will live in the annals of military and counter-terrorism history:

At about 9 pm on Thursday night, the IDF began assembling ground forces along the border with the Gaza Strip. Some armored and infantry battalions joined the artillery batteries that had been deployed days earlier to pound Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.

"We're invading Gaza!"
Earlier in the day, the IDF said that a ground offensive was on the table as a viable option for the continuation of Operation Guardians of the Wall. The IDF was hitting hard at Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets from the air but on the ground they would be expected to cause even more damage albeit with greater risk to the Israeli forces.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made his contribution, saying Thursday that the campaign against Hamas was far from over and that more Israeli action was coming.

At midnight, the IDF Spokesperson’s English department tweeted that “IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.” The foreign media jumped at the tweet, interpreting it to mean that Israel was sending ground forces into Gaza, a major escalation in the current operation and a sign that it was far from over.

Websites of media outlets around the world, including the Washington Post and ABC, reported the incursion. “Israeli troops have entered the Gaza Strip as conflict with Palestinians escalates, Israeli military says,” was the tweet put out by the Washington Post.

The problem was that there was no ground invasion. Yes, the IDF had deployed troops along the border but they did not cross into Gaza. What did happen was in the air where 160 aircraft had assembled for a massive bombing run over the Gaza Strip. Their target was what the IDF called Hamas’s “Metro”, an underground network of tunnels where Hamas stored its weapons and used to move throughout Gaza hidden from Israeli aircraft." . . .  Full article here...

Yes! Israel will prevail because she has Bibi, the IDF, and the spirit and willingness to fight.

And thank you, Ted Cruz, for your unwavering support of Israel. Wipe the floor with Ilhan Omar.

Andrea Widburg  . . . "During the press briefing, Doocy asked the obvious question, which was whether "somebody at the Biden administration or in the Biden administration update this guidance for political reasons."  Jen Psaki responded with an unequivocal "no."

"Well, if politics didn't drive the about-face on masks, asked Doocy, what was the medical or scientific breakthrough that suddenly occurred on Friday to justify this change?

"Psaki, as is her habit, didn't immediately answer the question.  First, and very condescendingly, she put Doocy in his place by implying that he had not been paying attention.  "Well, I know that Dr. Walensky did an extensive number of interviews yesterday to answer exactly that question."

"Nevertheless, Psaki did Doocy the "great" favor of giving a substantive answer.  She repeated information we all already know: that vaccines work, that they are effective against variants of the virus, and that vaccinated people are not contagious.  In other words, she gave was a non-answer because the real question was whether something new had come along and, in fact, nothing had.

"At this point, Doocy could not resist a "gotcha question"." . . .

Poor, Poor, Pitiful Michelle Obama

 Patriot Post

The most privileged woman in America isn’t too happy these days.

. . . "Poor Michelle. Has any flesh-and-blood human ever gotten more universally favorable media coverage than her? Well, besides her husband? This was the woman, after all, whose last unscripted utterance was back in 2008, when she told an adoring crowd, “Let me tell you something. For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country — and not just because Barack has done well but because I think people are hungry for change.”

"Change, eh? Does anyone think she’d have been “really proud” of her country if the change Americans voted for in the Democrat primary was Hillary Clinton rather than Barack Obama? And the notion of not once in one’s adult lifetime having felt good about one’s country speaks to a bitterness and a resentfulness that’s hard to fathom.

"Soon after she made those remarks, the handlers rushed in and thoroughly remade her. Less sneering and scowling and more smiles, along with plenty of flattering magazine covers. That was 2008. Then, just prior to the presidential election, The New York Times ran profiles of both Obama and Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican candidate John McCain. One of those profiles sounded like it was written by Michelle’s publicist. The other made it seem like Cindy kicked puppies when she wasn’t popping painkillers and lying about her trips to Africa.

"Sadly, the media hasn’t cast a critical eye Michelle’s way ever since. But they’ve done plenty of hit pieces on Melania Trump.

"The mask slipped again in 2017, however, at a marketing conference in Boston. There, Michelle attacked and demeaned women in much the same way that Joe Biden denigrated blacks when he declared, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black!' ” . . .

Michelle Obama: Asking me to help you get something off the shelf at Target might be racist

“I tell this story – I mean, even as the first lady – during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn’t see me as the first lady, she saw me as someone who could help her. Those kinds of things happen in life. So it isn’t anything new.”…

. . . "I reached up, ’cause she was short, and I reached up, pulled it down — she said, ‘Well, you didn’t have to make it look so easy.’ That was my interaction. I felt so good. … She had no idea who I was. I thought, as soon as she walked up — I was with my assistant, and I said, ‘This is it, it’s over. We’re going to have to leave.’ She just needed the detergent." . . .

. . . " I myself have been asked in the grocery store by a fellow customer to help them get something off the top shelf. You know why? It’s not because they thought I worked there; I had a cart just like they did. It’s because they were short and I was tall enough to reach — just like FLOTUS, who stands almost six feet. That’s her “racism” story at Target." . . .

Target Customer Asks Michelle Obama For Help; First Lady Believes Request Was Racially Motivated   ..."Numerous commenters have pointed out that Michelle Obama stands at 5’11” and anyone at that height would get asked by a shorter person to grab an item off a high shelf for them. Many have also pointed to their own experiences of being asked to grab something from a shelf despite not being black."...

What's the Worst, Most Divisive Thing Michelle Obama Has Said as First Lady? "While delivering the commencement speech at City College in New York City, Michelle Obama notably referred to waking up every day in a house built by slaves. Mrs. Obama never misses an opportunity to bait racism and divide the country. She's made many divisive remarks during her tenure as first lady."  "Which is the worst?"

Obama offers up bitter, depressing, racially divisive commencement speeches  ..."Instead, as Obama demonstrated in two videos streamed on Saturday to high school students and the graduates of historic black colleges, he’s still trafficking in anger, misery, and racial oppression. The man is a serious downer, despite his perky delivery."...

Heard much about Chrissy Teigen lately?

Chrissy Teigen Apologizes for Pressuring Teen to Kill Herself  "Teigen apologized Wednesday for repeatedly sending abusive messages to then-minor Courtney Stodden.

"The 35-year-old model and wife of singer John Legend admitted she bullied Stodden through tweets and direct messages she sent to her a decade ago.

"In a slew of abusive messages in 2011, Teigen had encouraged the former teen bride to commit suicide.

"In since-deleted messages reported by The Daily Beast, then-25-year-old Teigen told Stodden it was her “fantasy” for the teen to take a “dirt nap.” . . .

Target dumps Chrissy Teigen  "A year ago, I wondered why Target wouldn't get rid of Hollywood celeb, Chrissy Teigen. The famous Internet 'influencer' and D-List actress, was making millions from her cookware line, selling it at Target.

"Yet she was always doing something disgusting. She had a foul mouth that would sear the paint off lead, for one. She got into scraps with President Trump, who was as grossed about about her words as anyone else. When I first heard of her and looked at her tweets, I was aghast:" . . .

Target No Longer Selling Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings Cookware

Candace Owens Slams Chrissy Teigen as 'Sick' after More 'Deranged' Bullying Emerges

"Conservative commentator Candace Owens has slammed liberal activist Chrissy Teigen as "sick" after it emerged that she sent bullying messages to several women and children. On Wednesday, Teigen was forced to issue an apology after it emerged that she was bullying a teenager and pressuring the then-16-year-old to kill herself.
"The 35-year-old model and wife of singer John Legend admitted she bullied then-minor Courtney Stodden by repeatedly sending her abuse on Twitter.

"In a slew of abusive messages in 2011, Teigen had encouraged the former teen bride to commit suicide.Following reports about the bullying of Stodden, more allegations of abuse by Teigen against several female celebrities have emerged."The youngest she allegedly targeted* was a 9-year-old girl." . . .  *Touch of irony there.TD

Extraordinary immigration charts show how Biden's inauguration triggered surge in migration - with border detentions more than DOUBLING within days of Trump's exit

Kamala Harris Under Fire for Supporting Border Closure She Once Opposed Under the Trump Administration   "In 2020, then-Sen. Kamala Harris was among the 10 Democratic senators who signed a letter to former Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, accusing the Trump administration of violating federal law in using the pandemic as justification for closing the border with Mexico.
"As vice president, however, she now supports that provision, Politico reports." . . .

Muslim Brotherhood Praises Dems for Abandoning Israel in Time of War

 Free Beacon

Israel haters in Congress outraged Biden defended the Jewish state

"The Muslim Brotherhood's official online mouthpiece offered praise this week to Democratic members of Congress who are publicly criticizing Israel as it defends itself against an onslaught of terrorist rockets.

"Democratic representatives demand the protection of Palestinians from Zionist attacks," reads a headline in Ikhwan Online, the Brotherhood's official propaganda site. The jihadist extremist group, which is designated as a terror outfit in multiple countries, highlighted critical remarks about Israel's defensive operations made by outspoken opponents of the Jewish state—Reps. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), Andre Carson (D., Ind.), Debbie Dingell (D., Mich.), Mark Pocan (D., Wis.), and Cori Bush (D., Mo.), as well as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

"A large number from the American Democratic Party urged their government to try stopping the violence of the occupation forces against the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank," the Arabic language article states, highlighting the support these liberal American lawmakers have among anti-Israel extremist groups in the region. The article was independently translated for the Washington Free Beacon

"All of the lawmakers mentioned above are widely known for their anti-Israel views and supporting a range of organizations that seek to boycott the Jewish state and promote anti-Semitic slurs about the country. Their criticism follows Israeli airstrikes directed at terrorist groups operating in the Gaza Strip. These groups, including Hamas, bombarded the country with more than 1,000 missiles in just more than two days. Israel says it will continue to conduct defensive operations until Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups that are funded by Iran stop their attacks.

"Omar, Tlaib, and Pocan, who are among the most outspoken anti-Israel members of Congress, harshly criticized Israel for protecting its citizens from missile attacks." . . . More...

Muslim Actress Quotes Hitler to Praise Hamas: 'I Would Have Killed All of the Jews'  . . . "In a now-deleted post, the 37-year-old actress tweeted a graphic that read:

"I would have killed all the Jews of the world ... but I kept some to show the world why I killed them. Adolf Hitler"

"However, it remains unknown whether Hitler ever actually uttered or wrote those words." . . .

Andrew Yang Surrenders: Backtracks on Pro-Israel Tweet   . . ."But “progressive” Democrats attacked Yang, calling him. “white supremacist” and urging New Yorkers to oppose him. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) even encouraged Muslims not to host him at communal religious celebrations."

With Israel under Attack, Watch for Progressive Anti-Semitism   "When George Washington wrote to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island, in 1790, he declared that America should give "bigotry no sanction."

"In 2021, that remains a tall order. Not only does history's oldest virus—anti-Semitism—today receive 24/7 assistance from social media, but it metastasizes as quickly as deadly new strains of COVID-19, spawning Jew-hatred and hate crimes here and abroad." . . .

. . . Meanwhile, Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) accuses Israel of terrorism because it responded to Hamas attacks. Of course, her tweets about the issue help her raise big bucks from others who hate Israel. Omar's rhetoric, echoing other "squad" members pounding Israel, must be deeply satisfying to Iran's Holocaust-denying, genocide-seeking Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his lackey, Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah. Both, on Al Quds Day just a few days ago, called for a jihad to destroy the Jewish state.

You mean like this? A New York Assemblywoman Tweets Out, Then Deletes, Anti-Israel Photo Suggesting Israeli Genocide

. . . One of those elected officials taking the side of Hamas is New York Assemblywoman Phara Souffrant Forrest decided to take to Twitter and tweet out an image that featured the country of Israel covered in nice-looking flowers with the word “Palestine” in place of the word “Israel.” This was accompanied by the hashtag “#FreePalestine.”

"The tweet was up for a bit before Forrest took it down. She then posted a tweet explaining why she took it down, and none of it actually apologizes for the picture and even suggests Israel is an apartheid state."  It’s not.

How to Start a War

Joe Biden, and those around him, seem determined to upset the peace they inherited.

Arab rockets intercepted by Israeli defenses

Victor Davis Hanson   "Wars often arise from uncertainty. When strong countries appear weak, truly weaker ones take risks they otherwise would not.

"Sloppy braggadocio and serial promises of restraint can trigger wars, too. Empty tough talk can needlessly egg on aggressors. But mouthing utopian bromides convinces bullies that their targets are too sophisticated to counter aggression.

"Sometimes announcing “a new peace process” without any ability to bring either novel concessions or pressures only raises false hopes — and furor.

"Every new American president is tested to determine whether the United States can still protect friends such as Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Israel. And will the new commander in chief deter U.S. enemies Iran and North Korea — and keep China and Russia from absorbing their neighbors?

"Joe Biden, and those around him, seem determined to upset the peace they inherited.

"Soon after Donald Trump left office, Vladimir Putin began massing troops on the Ukrainian border and threatening to attack.

"Putin earlier had concluded that Trump was dangerously unpredictable, and perhaps best not provoked. After all, the Trump administration took out Russian mercenaries in Syria. It beefed up defense spending and upped sanctions.

"The Trump administration flooded the world with cheap oil to Russia’s chagrin. It pulled out from asymmetrical missile treaties with Russia. It sold sophisticated arms to the Ukrainians. The Russians concluded that Trump might do anything, and so waited for another president before again testing America.

"In contrast, Biden often talks provocatively — while carrying a twig. He has gratuitously called Putin “a killer.” And he warned that the Russian dictator “will pay a price” for supposedly interfering in the 2020 election." . . .

Israel still waits for Messiah to come. Meanwhile...
