A tribute to the Irish who fought and died with Custer at the battle of the Little Bighorn
Mark Linnane (edited):  128 Irish born men in the 7th Cavalry in 1876. 103 of which went out on the 1876 campaign against the Sioux. 34 of which were killed ,28 of these were killed with Custer's battalion. 2 Irishmen of the 7th Cavalry received the medal of honour for their actions at the Little Bighorn. Sergeant Thomas Murray from County Monaghan and Thomas Callan from County Louth.
