If You Call Teachers 'Heroes,' You're Part Of The Problem

 The Federalist

Taking this dishonest, condescending approach will benefit only those who see our public schools as yet another opportunity to infect America’s youth with harmful ideology.

"Many factors have contributed to the downfall of America’s schools. One rarely discussed issue is the disproportionate praise heaped on the teaching industry, which has led teachers to believe the scope of their influence ought to extend beyond the teaching of facts and figures. As a society, we have praised teachers to the extent that even mild criticism of the profession is met with a chorus of boos. “My sister is a teacher!”

"When discussing widespread problems in the profession, instead of presenting an actual argument, those who reflexively defend the industry will often mention having friends or relatives who are teachers, as if this anecdotal tidbit is a meaningful response.

“ 'Teachers are heroes” is practically an infallible dictum. It is unclear why teachers, by default, deserve the disproportionate praise our society gives them. Even suggesting that they might deserve merely the same amount of respect we give most other professions (the horror!) will be perceived by many as “an attack on teachers.' ” . . .

Loving Dad Joe Engages Son in Life of Crime

Loving Dad Joe Engages Son in Life of Crime - American Thinker  "The propaganda ministry is in full spin mode, trying to explain why Joe Biden is parading around the world with Hunter in tow.  The two are together for state dinners, overseas junkets, and weekends at Camp David.  As the narrative goes, Hunter is a troubled man, victimized by the demon of addiction.  Any appearance of presidential impropriety is simply a loving father concerned about his son, holding him close to keep him out of trouble.  I say hogwash." . . .

. . ."He used his son and other family members to do the dirty work of

  • selling the product (influence),
  • collecting the proceeds, and
  • laundering the money for use by the first family.

"While they did that, Joe smiled for the cameras and worked to maintain the façade of returning normalcy to the White House.

"But Hunter is no criminal mastermind, and he left far too much evidence of family misdeeds for the public to ignore.  Now that Hunter has been caught, Joe is suddenly concerned about his troubled son?  Baloney.  Joe is running interference with the DOJ and keeping Hunter close to keep him quiet.

"Nothing Joe Biden is doing is being done out of affection for his son.  It's being done to save his own skin.  He's doing what any other mob boss would do with an underling when the truth starts bubbling to the surface: keep him quiet at all costs.  Some loving father."

That would imply Joe has much stronger mental sharpness than we see. I would have to guess "Joe" means those controlling his actions, TD

Biden the Angry: NY Mag Puff Piece Inadvertently Reveals He's Actually Pretty Nasty – RedState   . . ."The obvious question is, if you didn’t want to be in the White House, why did you run for the job? And why are you running again?

"Although the reporter here valiantly tries to go along with the narrative that Joey is your nice old grandpa who loves ice cream, she inadvertently reveals what we all know: that he’s an irritable, cruel boss who often treats the press and his subordinates like garbage. I thought his September 2022 “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” speech was one of the angriest, most vitriolic addresses by a U.S. president in our nation’s history, and his refusal to even recognize his granddaughter Navy Joan Roberts is morally incomprehensible." . . . More on this here.

Who they REALLY are: Lefties GO THERE cheering Biden for bullying his staff because THEY had it coming – Twitchy   . . .As Twitchy readers know, Axios (yes, Left-leaning Axios) exposed Joe Biden for the mean, belligerent bully he really is. Not to mention the angry outbursts they described have been tied to dementia but we digress.

"The guy is just a jerk. He always has been. And we're not even sorry for saying that.

"Even Obama said some not-so-flattering things about his then-VP; he wrote about Joe's temper in his memoir even, and that he didn't care for it. All of that being said, the Left is circling the wagons around Biden because even if he's a bully and a-hole, he's THEIR bully and a-hole.". . .

The New York Times is now bashing the Biden “First Family” for their refusal to acknowledge Navy as their grandchild.

NBC's Todd: GOP Ugly for Pointing Out Biden Ignores 7th Grandkid | Newsbusters  . . . "It's really kinda ugly the way it's been done," Todd bemoaned.  Speaking of ugly, Todd also gave Biden a pass for his vulgar language, while lambasting Trump's perceived poor choice of words. It's hypocrisy all around for Chuck Todd & NBC."

"According to the Daily Mail – The New York Times has printed a blistering op-ed by one of its star columnists slamming Joe Biden for disowning a granddaughter born to a stripper who his son Hunter had a fling with.". . .

Your land is my land (The Megan Rapinoes of ice cream)

The Ben & Jerry story reflects bad faith and hatred of the country.  How do two people blessed by our economy think so poorly of their country?  I don't get it, but I'd love to see Ben & Jerry close their doors, give the land back, and pay reparations as well.

Silvio Canto, Jr.  . . ."This is hilarious.  Ben & Jerry, the ice cream men of New England, spent Independence Day claiming the Mt. Rushmore exists on stolen land.

"They could have chosen to celebrate July 4th with a burger and watching the Red Sox take two of three from the Rangers.  Or they could have offered ice cream to anyone who dressed their baby as a Native American. Or they could have gone to a reservation and offer ice cream to everyone.

"Ben & Jerry went woke and a local tribe called their bluff.  This is the story:

Nulhegan Band of The Coosuk Abenaki Nation Chief Don Stevens informed Newsweek he’s very interested in getting the land Ben & Jerry’s headquarters is on because it originally belonged to his tribe.

He told the publication the tribe was “always interested in reclaiming the stewardship of our lands.” However, Ben & Jerry’s doesn’t seem interested in playing ball. As of Friday, the company had not reached out to Stevens to broker a deal that would see the land return to the original owners.

Ben & Jerry’s demanded land be returned to Native American people. Well, it might be time for the ice cream company to put its money where its mouth is.

"Are you laughing?  I am.  It could not happen to a nicer couple of people. "

Silliness abounds

‘Post-Truth World’: Man Wins Miss Netherlands, Sparking Outrage On Twitter | The Daily Wire

"Rikkie Kolle, a 22-year-old man, beat out nine women to attain the title of “Miss Netherlands” on Saturday, sparking outrage on social media as many users said the win showed we are experiencing a trend of erasing women.

"The Miss Netherlands competition is part of Miss Universe, and Kolle will compete in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador later this year.

“ 'A man just won ‘Miss Netherlands’ 2023,” Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek tweeted. “Considering the fact that we live in a post-Truth world, I wasn’t even expecting anything else. It’s all so predictable and unoriginal at this point,” she added."

American Churches Are Eerily Silent When the Country Needs Them Most   . . ."It’s the reason I could never take atheism seriously. The claim of atheism has long been that the philosophy has nothing to do with faith and everything to do with evidence. Yet, every time I see an atheist confronted with evidence of creative design, they dismiss it blindly. This kind of ignorance has always been more horrifying to me that anything else – The notion of “scientific cultism” and tyranny hiding behind false claims of logic and rationalism.". . .

"Why isn’t there a mass call for Christian churches to reject the woke invasion? Why isn’t there a consortium of Christian leaders moving to denounce these fake churches, making sure that the public knows they do not associate with these groups? Where is the call to action? If it exists, I’m not seeing it anywhere. And let’s be clear – If there was ever a time for the Christian community to gain a wider membership, it would be now as the world enters a state of perpetual chaos. Yet, their response is muted and scattered.". . .

Ephesians 6:10-15:   “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

This rush to electric cars is a colossal mistake -

  Spiked (spiked-online.com)

And then there’s the looming question of the electrical grid. In the UK, EVs are projected to double the demand for electricity by 2040. This capacity does not yet exist and nor is it planned for.

"We may soon regret the radical and absolutist embrace of electric vehicles (EVs). Governments across the world are planning to ban sales of new petrol and diesel cars, and to take older, gas-guzzling vehicles off the road. The Biden administration is proposing strict new pollution limits, as well as vast state subsidies, to accelerate the US’s transition to EVs.

"Replacing the massive $3 trillion global car industry is an extremely high-risk economic gamble, particularly for the West. It could also threaten the mobility of all but the richest among us. And all this is being risked for environmental benefits that may prove far less robust than is often claimed. This is not to say that EVs won’t help us to reduce CO2 emissions or to clean the air. The problem is that, at least in the immediate future, they should not be the only option available to consumers.

"Toyota, for instance, has argued that there are other, more affordable and quicker ways to reduce emissions than transitioning exclusively to EVs. While Toyota is investing in electric batteries, it also hopes to continue offering hybrid and hydrogen-powered cars in the coming decades. For stating this openly, it has come under fire from green lobbyists and politicians. New York City’s comptroller, Brad Lander, has even decided to restrict the city’s pension fund’s investments in the Japanese car company, due to its unwillingness to faithfully follow the green party line.

"The zealots and economic interests pushing an all-electric future generally ignore the challenges inherent in their plans. For one thing, despite promises of lower costs for EVs, the now enormous demand for key components, like lithium, copper and aluminium, means that prices are unlikely to fall any time soon. Battery prices alone will keep the price of EVs high, as the cost of components has risen threefold since 2021." . . .

Even Democrats can see what's wrong with Joe Biden

This is the party of Maxine Waters, Adam Schiff, the late Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Al Sharpton, Eric Swalwell, Antifa, The Squad, Megan Rapinoe and others, including those despising America and her history.  Oh, and Joe Biden. TD

  Dennis M. O’Connor

I am confident that the historic roots of the Democrat party — "God, Family, and Country" — contributed to our nation's recovery.  But, like me, many of what I call traditional Democrats have seen their party leave them.

. . ."George Washington stated his conviction that "religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society."  Let's look at Joe Biden's commitment to religion and morality.  My Bible understanding and observation have convinced me that Biden is not someone who shows respect for his religion, which is to say the Catholic Church's moral code, and natural law.  He is the biblical example of one who beats his chest — "look, I am a Catholic, I take communion" — but is a heretic and answers only to his own religion and god.

"Simple examples demonstrate this disturbing ideology.  God states, "Honor your father and mother, and children, give your parents love, obedience, and respect."  Activist followers, perverts, and educators hate parental rights and think the family is an obstacle.  The attack continues with abortion and government agencies directed to hurt children physically, emotionally, and physiologically, forcing confusing sexual content on them to get them to doubt how God made them.  Biden himself shows great support for the transgender community while opposing school choice and improved education to cultivate the God-given talent of students in black communities.  I am confident that Joe Biden will have to answer to a higher power for his actions.

"Members of Congress must face the reality that they may be puppets for these society-killers.  American voters, especially traditional Democrats and those who vote their party affiliation, must also realize they could be puppets.

"There must be a new beginning.  Our wonderful country is under a vicious attack, and all must fight to preserve the right to "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness" whose protection was promised by our Founding Fathers."

Judge Doughty and Biden’s Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’ -

 Clarice Feldman; American Thinker

Activists wielding nonsense like “microaggressions,” words that make the listener feel “unsafe,” safe spaces on campuses, the very idea that “words wound,” he contends, are mere libels against free speech and weapons in the hands of those who would deny us that right. This administration found this infantile atmosphere a ticket to control speech with which it disagreed.

. . ."Lest you think this is just partisan wailing by conservatives who were banned or a theoretical discussion of constitutional law, Brett Swanson shows how it had  significant, even deadly, consequences.

Social-media platforms were powerful tools for full-spectrum censorship, but they didn’t act alone. Medical schools, medical boards, science journals and legacy media sang from the same hymnal.

Legions of doctors stayed quiet after witnessing the demonization of their peers who challenged the Covid orthodoxy. A little censorship leads people to watch what they say. Millions of patients and citizens were deprived of important insights as a result.

Health authorities and TV doctors insisted young people were vulnerable, demanded toddlers wear masks, closed schools, beaches and parks, and were loath to contemplate crucial cost-benefit analysis. The economy? Mental health? Never heard of them.

Bookies bet Hunter Biden is the culprit behind White House cocaine

NY Post  "As rumors and accusations swirl about the possible culprit responsible for misplacing a baggie of cocaine found in the White House on Sunday, bookies and sportsbooks have placed their bets on the first son and recovering drug addict, Hunter Biden.
"BetOnline gave the first son +170 odds that he was the one enjoying a spot of nose candy in the West Wing, beating out a tall list of generally silly longshot candidates such as Angelina Jolie (+1400), “One of the Jonas Brothers” (+1000), Snoop Dogg (+1600), and Elton John (+1600), among others.
"President Joe Biden was considered the dark horse of BetOnline’s culprits at +15000 odds, with first lady Jill Biden ranking slightly higher at +10000." . . .

Comment from reader: If you honestly believe a Secret Service with access to a guest list, security camera footage and, if they want it, access to every guest's cell phone data with time-stamped, geo-locations doesn't already know who the coke head is, you'll believe anything.

Douglas Murray Completely DISMANTLES Race Hustler's Narrative

@monetda-introverted-guru6376.   "As a black man that was born and raised in Detroit and experienced all kinds of crazy stuff growing up, that black woman on that panel should be embarrassed by what she is saying. This is why so many black people can't move forward because they are too stuck on things that they never experienced but crave the hurt from it. I lived in Turkey for almost 3 years and in that time I met a bunch of Somalians that migrated there let me tell you every time they interacted with me all they wanted to talk about was how great it would be to live in the United States and how bad the Turkish government was treating them like 3rd class citizens. Now all of them didn't feel that way but the point is these race hustlers want you to believe our country is horrible but that's far from the truth. My grandpa told me that the only people that make everything about race are Democrats and broke lazy people. I say it's true."

British journalist calls Biden "that awful man"

Joe Biden EVISCERATED in scathing attack - 'Most ANTI-BRITISH president in living memory' - YouTube

Comments to this video: As an American who didn't vote for Biden.....he is our worst nightmare.
Americans love our British cousins. Apologies for those who voted for Biden....completely brainless...

We have LBQT and BLM to thank for Biden and America. Give them back.

2 of the last 3 US presidents have held the UK in barely concealed contempt. That we have been the only steadfast US military ally since the end of WW2 has been ignored.

Obama and Biden told us that we could join the back of the queue for any deals with the US if we had the temerity to democratically vote for Brexit. They have both made it very clear that they feel nothing but contempt for the UK.

I’m shocked by Barack Obama’s commercials asking for presidential campaign money for Biden. What on earth does that say about the Obama’s? Biden barely knows he’s the president at this point.

NY Times columnist rebukes Biden’s ‘cold' heart for denying existence of granddaughter: ‘It’s seven grandkids’

This year President Biden has been fond of lecturing Americans about the importance of family values and not being a "deadbeat nation," all while his own son has been going to court to fight child support:
Sadly the Maureen Dowd column is behind a paywall. Perhaps this will suffice:

NY Times columnist rebukes Biden’s ‘cold' heart for denying existence of granddaughter: ‘It’s seven grandkids’   . . ."The letter also pleaded with the president, stating, "Mr. President, many years ago, you lost your daughter in a horrendous car accident. I know you still carry that pain with you every day because I have watched your face when you speak about her. Please do not throw away your granddaughter."
"After rebuking Biden from her sister’s perspective, Dowd provided her own opinion, saying, "Joe Biden’s mantra has always been that ‘the absolute most important thing is your family.’ It is the heart of his political narrative. Empathy, born of family tragedies, has been his stock in trade. Callously scarring Navy’s life, just as it gets started, undercuts that."
"She then declared, "What the Navy story reveals is how dated and inauthentic the 80-year-old president’s view of family is."
"Dowd expressed her belief that "the president can’t defend Hunter on all his other messes and draw the line at accepting one little girl," adding, "You can’t punish her for something she had no choice about.". . .

Navy Joan Roberts  "Hunter has another child (whose identity had been kept anonymous until the Daily Mail revealed it in November 2020) with a woman in Arkansas, Lunden Alexis Roberts. The child was born in August 2018. The paternity of that child was the subject of a now-resolved 2018 court case determining Hunter was the father, according to the Texarkana Gazette.

"Hunter Biden is currently attempting to prevent Navy Joan from adopting the Biden surname after Lunden Roberts said it would be “beneficial” for Navy Joan later in life, according to The Independent. “The name is now synonymous with being well-educated, financially acute and politically powerful,” Lunden Roberts reportedly said. No decision has been made regarding the case, but a hearing will take place on February 22, 2023."

Tucker Drops Jan. 6 Bombshell from Unaired Fox Interview with Capitol Police Chief

July 7, 2023: Tucker Drops Jan. 6 Bombshell from Unaired Fox Interview with Capitol Police Chief (westernjournal.com)   "Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said the former chief of the U.S. Capitol Police told him that the crowd protesting the 2020 election at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, was “filled with federal agents.”

"Carlson made the statement during an episode of Russell Brand’s “Stay Free” podcast on Friday.

"“What is your sincere opinion of what went on on Jan. 6 and why do you feel that there is yet an attempt to regard it as a deliberate insurrection?” Brand asked.

"Carlson first noted that one of his children was working on Capitol Hill during the protest, so he had a personal interest in what happened that day.

"Carlson further stated that he opposed any violence that occurred, but for context pointed out that more law enforcement officers were injured during the race riot outside the White House in May 2020 following the death of George Floyd than on Jan. 6, 2021." . . .
