Biden Admin. Has Welded Open More than 100 Border Gates to Allow Illegals Access -

 The Lid (lidblog.com)

"The Biden administration has been caught welding open more than 100 border wall gates to allow criminal illegals and terrorists to more easily break our immigration laws.

"Per the New York Post:

The door to America is wide open.

Thousands of migrants are flowing across the US border in Arizona every day — literally through open floodgates that have made the Tucson post the busiest point of illegal entry into the country, The Post has learned.

US officials have inexplicably welded open 114 massive gates along the Arizona border to allow water to flow freely during the annual monsoon season and for the migration of an endangered species of antelope, officials said.

But the move is also letting an average of 1,400 migrants from as far away as China casually walk into the country daily — with overwhelmed and outnumbered border agents practically helpless to stop them.

"We are now on track to have been flooded by more than seven million criminal illegals during Joe Biden’s interminable four-year regime.

"As far as the Democrats are concerned, this is not a problem. It’s a feature." . . .

Gov. Glenn Youngkin Pardons Father Who Protested School Board After His Daughter’s Sexual Assault

“We righted a wrong. He should’ve never been prosecuted here. This was a dad standing up for his daughter.”

"The horrors that pervaded Loudoun County public schools arguably led directly to the 2021 election of Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin (R).

"Among the many shocking scandals emanating from this woke school district was the cover-up of the sexual assault of at least two female students and the shuffling of the skirt-wearing male offender to another school.

"This, along with other incidents of highly offensive wokeness in Loudoun County schools, set off the parents movement that swept the nation and flipped many school board seats to sensible parents who want to protect their districts’ children and ensure quality education, not woke indoctrination and dangerous pro-criminal policies that threaten every child. It is also ground zero of the Biden administration’s weaponization of the Merrick Garland-run corrupt DOJ against normal American parents, whom he declared “domestic terrorists” for attending and daring to speak at public school board meetings.

"With all the noise coming out of that privileged little splotch of blue, we can lose sight of the fact that the father of one of the two girls who was sexually assaulted in school was convicted of disorderly conduct for protesting the sexual assault of his daughter at a school board meeting.

"It was an outrageous arrest, an outrageous conviction, and it’s now been put right by Governor Youngkin." . . .

Prosecutor and Democrats Go Ballistic After Youngkin Pardons Father of Rape Victim in Loudoun County – RedState  "All of that anger over a pardon for a disorderly conduct charge in which the father was completely justified in wanting his voice to be heard. It's astonishing and disturbing to see Biberaj put out a statement like that. Why not just be silent about the matter? Again, the circumstances of Smith's arrest, including the fact that Loudoun County officials covered up the rape of his daughter for political reasons, should have dictated a change in approach. Instead, Biberaj has continued to speak of Smith as if he murdered someone.

"She wasn't the only one, either. Other Virginia Democrat officials also ranted and raved following the pardon. " . . .

It is mind-blowing to see these Democrats essentially defend the rape of a then-14-year-old girl because they see it as a way to attack Youngkin politically. How deranged does one have to be to take that position? We are talking about a party that largely supports "criminal justice reform," including leniency for all sorts of major crimes, but suddenly, they are deeply aggrieved over a pardon for a disorderly conduct charge. No one should buy their outrage as being authentic.

If Your Kid Can’t Read This, Thank a Teachers Union

AFT President Randi Weingarten

If Your Kid Can’t Read This, Thank a Teachers Union - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "The 2022-2023 school year, close to 10 percent of nation’s K-12 students did not attend classes on the average day, The New York Times‘ David Leonhardt reported in his newsletter. A quarter of students are chronically absent. “That’s a vastly higher share than before COVID.”

"The biggest reason truancy is on the rise, Leonhardt posits, “seems to be simply that students have fallen out of the habit of going to school every day.” (RELATED: Rehabbing Teachers Unions)

"Call it an unintended side effect of COVID lockdowns — children who were robbed of a comprehensive education. And structure.

" 'As the pandemic wore on, it became increasingly clear that children were the least likely to get seriously sick or die from COVID-19, and they had suffered major academic and developmental blows from online classes and prolonged isolation,” Education Week reported in June.

"Thank the teachers unions.

"When COVID hit, union leaders did not demand that teachers be classified as “essential workers,” which one would expect them to do.

"To the contrary, unions embraced remote learning, even though shuttering classrooms was bound to deprive students of a rich learning experience — especially kids with working parents who lacked a higher education.

"It didn’t have to be this way. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention never mandated widespread open-ended school closures. In 2020, CDC guidelines instead recommended school closures of two to five days, and then only when an exposed person had been on campus or in districts with high infection rates. (READ MORE: The CDC Should Stay in Its Own Lane)

"It was blue-state Democrats and local officials who panicked and shut down public schools — with the support of labor.

" 'In many places, including California, children did not see the inside of a physical classroom for nearly a full year and a half,” Stanford epidemiologist Jay Bhattacharya told the “Uncommon Knowledge with Peter Robinson” podcast. “The consequences of that play themselves out with deep learning losses.” . . .

A Neoconservative Is a Liberal Who Has Been Mugged

A Neoconservative Is a Liberal Who Has Been Mugged | Power Line  "That formula goes back, I think, to the 1980s, and while “neoconservative” has taken on a different meaning, it still holds true. The latest case in point is Shivanthi Sathanandan, a vice chairwoman of Minnesota’s Democrat-Farmer-Labor party. Like most Democrats, Sathanandan was anti-police and pro-criminal. In June 2020, she wanted to “dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department”:. . .

"In any event, it is nice to see that Sathanandan is now thankful to “the incredible Minneapolis 4th Precinct Officers.”

Unforgettable United Flight 93

Passengers and crew during these final 30 minutes made 35 airphone calls and two cell phone calls.  They quickly learned of the other hijacked planes that had been flown into the Twin Towers.  Donald R. McClarey

Unforgettable United Flight 93  When they got up that Tuesday morning twenty-two years ago, the very last thing that the 33 passengers and the seven crew of United Flight 93 expected was to be engaged in a life and death struggle to retake an airliner that was headed to Washington DC as a terrorist missile.    All they expected the day to bring was a hum drum flight from Newark to San Francisco.  Just ordinary people living their lives.  Their occupations included pilot, first officer, flight attendant, an environmental lawyer, the owner of a public relations firm,  university students, a senior vice president of a medical development company, a sales representative for Good Housekeeping magazine, a manager of a US Wildlife animal refuge, an arborist, an account manager for a corporation, an ironworker, retirees, a computer programmer, a computer engineer, a lobbyist for the disabled, a real estate agent,  an executive vice president of a corporation and a free lance medical writer.  They were wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, all with unique histories and lives, with little in common except that they happened to be on board Flight 93 when the world changed.

"The plane took off at 8:42 AM Eastern Time.  Four terrorists had boarded amidst the other 33 passengers.  The terrorists began to hijack the plane at 9:28 AM, soon after both the hijacked airliners had struck the Twin Towers in New York City, and just brief minutes before a fourth airliner was hijacked in Washington and slammed into the Pentagon.  At 9:28:17 AM a member of the cockpit crew shouted “Mayday! Mayday!” over the radio, with sounds of violence in the background.  35 seconds later someone in the cockpit shouted over the radio, “Mayday!  Get out of here!  Get out of here!”

"By 9:31 AM the terrorists were in control of the cockpit.  They informed the passengers that they were in control of the plane and falsely told them they had a bomb.  Now began the final 30 minutes of Flight 93." . . .

Equity explained in a folk tale (featuring Fox, the Social Justice Warrior)

Two hungry bear cubs found a head of cheese the size of a good piglet lying in the grass.
“We must divide it equally, so as not to deprive anyone,” said the first.
“I am the eldest, I am entitled to more!” said the second and tried to take the cheese from his brother.
“I'm the youngest, I get more due!” the first one shouted.
They began to argue, and then even fight.
Suddenly, a fox emerged onto the clearing. With a sweet, honeyed voice, she offered:
“Please don't fight. Such nice little bears, such intelligent and fair-minded two brothers! Allow me to assist you in dividing this cheese equitably, to the satisfaction of all. Our aim is to foster a society where everyone's rights are upheld through the fair and just redistribution of resources— or in this case, cheese."
The brothers scratched their heads, exchanged glances, and handed the cheese to the fox. The fox proceeded to split the cheese into two halves, with the left side noticeably larger than the right.
"That's not equitable!" the cubs cried out. "Make it equal for both!"
"Ah, you are right," responded the fox, grinning. "Let's strive for equality in outcomes."
The fox took a bite out of the larger half of the cheese.
Now the other half was larger! The cubs shouted:
“It is unfair, it’s not equal!”
"And again, you speak truth," the fox sighed. "We'll need to take from this side as well. The lengths we go to for social justice!"
Even as the fox's mouth overflowed with cheese, the cubs persisted:
"It's still not fair! One part remains larger!"
The fox kept dividing cheese until only two small slices remained.
“You see,” she said. “Equity means an equal outcome. It's not much, but it is equal!”
The brothers stretched out their paws for the little slivers of cheese. The fox acted as she was just about to give it to them, but then she said:
"Wait a minute, kids! Have I not worked selflessly to ensure fairness and social justice? Surely I deserve some compensation? A small token, say, these two pieces?"
With that, she popped the remainder of the cheese into her mouth and vanished into the bushes, wagging her tail.
The brothers sat in silence, their stomachs still rumbling with hunger.

The moral: When you hear them say, "Social justice is about creating a fair and equitable society where everyone’s rights are recognized and protected, and decisions are made fairly and honestly," HOLD TIGHT TO YOUR CHEESE AND RUN!

Hunter: I'm embarrassed about the things on what totally wasn't my laptop

  HotAir

But this is still David Weiss we’re talking about and he has spent more than half a decade ensuring that nothing bad would happen to Hunter Biden or his father. Will he really change his spots now that he’s been exposed? I wouldn’t bet enough to cover a cup of coffee on it.

"Hunter Biden has wound up in court nearly as many times this year as his father wants to see Donald Trump in front of a judge during the coming election cycle. One of the First Son’s previous appearances that didn’t generate too many headlines took place on June 29th, but it didn’t have anything to do with his illegal gun purchase, alleged FARA violations, crack, or hookers. He was giving testimony in a defamation lawsuit brought against him by John Paul Mac Isaac, the former owner of the computer repair shop where Hunter dropped off and abandoned his now infamous laptop from hell in 2019. Some of his testimony from the six-hour deposition has now been released as part of a countersuit his attorneys have filed against Mac Isaac and it’s being described as “contradictory and confusing.” (Go figure.) For one thing, Hunter admitted to being “embarrassed” about all of the horrible images and stories that were revealed. But at the same time, he continued to insist that it wasn’t his laptop. Huh? (NY Post)

Hunter Biden testified recently that he was embarrassed by “offensive” content published from his laptop after he dropped it off for repair at The Mac Shop in Wilmington, Delaware on April 12, 2019 – but still denies that the laptop or its contents are his. . . .

Republicans: Spineless and Squishy

The most fascinating thing about the study, other than confirming what we already know, is learning where the squishiest Republicans live—and it’s not in Blue states. It’s in Red states:

Across America, Republican politicians are unreliable squishes - American Thinker

The Republican party is famous for Mitt Romney, John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, George Bush Sr. and Jr., and a host of other people who rejoice under the label of “Republican,” but they really call the Uniparty their ideological home. When you stop and pay attention, what Uniparty really means is the Democrat party and its permanent bureaucracy in the Deep State. Meanwhile, on the Democrat side, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, to their credit, have held the line on the filibuster but, otherwise, they’re party-line voters down the line.

. . ."Another Democrat advantage is that they are, by nature, not individualists. They move and think as a pack, constantly trying to drive power to the biggest pack of all; namely, the state. Republicans actually bring different values to the table (especially on abortion) and that hampers their unity." . . .

Republicans Must Impeach Biden - American Thinker   "There is a reason the issue of impeaching President Biden has finally come into the spotlight, and it isn’t what you may think. The Republicans have neither the spine nor the skills to pull off an impeachment, even with a teed-up softball like this. Democrats want the threat of impeachment without the impeachment itself, but Republicans can call their bluff.

"I often said I would fear being grilled by Trey Gowdy in a congressional hearing. He was excellent at his job and was brutal in cross-examination. But despite all the information and even drop-dead proof he generated, no one has even been charged, much less brought to justice. Big hat, no cattle. No spine." . . .

Democrats must wreck Biden politically. His face-saving step will be to announce he is retiring and won’t run due to ‘health reasons.’ If the Democrats have time to find a suitable candidate, it won’t be Harris.

Ignoring History, Means Choosing Windmills Over Whales

American Thinker  "While the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano, which erupted on January 15, may be causing a spike in temperatures, there’s nothing historic about what’s happening. The Earth has been this hot before…and hotter—and it wasn’t that long ago either.

"Before getting to historic hot spells, it’s worth noting that the volcano may not actually cause a big rise in global temperature over the long run. It’s true that the volcano’s eruption spewed a lot of water vapor into the atmosphere.

"However, recent eruptions have also demonstrated volcanoes’ planet-cooling powers. In 1991, when Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines blew its top, aerosols spewed by this mighty volcanic blast lowered global temperatures by about 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.6 degrees Celsius) for at least one year. Tonga expelled approximately 441,000 tons (400,000 metric tons) of sulfur dioxide, about 2 percent of the amount spewed by Mount Pinatubo during the 1991 eruption."

"Headlines from the 1930s bespeak incredible temperature spikes. Here are just some examples:

"So, it’s always and often been hot. And sometimes it’s cold, which is also deadly. Even the leftist Lancet has admitted that “Cold caused 17 times more deaths than heat in the 13 countries studied.” . . .

What’s really important isn’t that the Earth has extremes of hot and cold. What’s important is that fossil fuel has enabled people to avoid the worst consequences of those extremes:

Every president has observed 9/11 at one of the terror targets or the White House. So why the hell will Biden insultingly be in Alaska...

... en route from Vietnam? No wonder, rages MAUREEN CALLAHAN, Americans don't think he gives a damn | Daily Mail Online

His pit stop at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson military base comes after a one-day trip to Vietnam on September 10 to discuss, among other topics, climate change.

"Joe Biden is about to hit an all-time low: For no good or explained reason, he has decided to skip Monday's 9/11 ceremonies.

"Yes, our self-styled Empathizer-in-Chief, who revels in ruminating on his personal tragedies constantly, has decided to sit this one out.

"After a summer spent dozing on the beach, grudgingly rousting himself from a Lake Tahoe vacation to finally view the devastation in Maui (before comparing that horror to a small kitchen fire in his Delaware mansion), then wandering out of a Medal of Honor ceremony Tuesday and leaving an 81-year-old Vietnam vet alone — a vet he awarded while maskless despite Jill Biden's COVID diagnosis — the president will be in Alaska when the first bell rings at 8:46 am eastern time, marking the moment that first plane struck the North Tower.

"Given that it'll be 4:46 am in Anchorage – it's fair to ask if Biden will even be awake.

"The president is not always present at one of the three memorial sites in New York, Pennsylvania, or Virginia. G.W. Bush and Barack Obama have observed the day from the White House, but never has the president been so far out of touch – clear across the county.

"It's beyond disgraceful. It's a dereliction of duty and a heartless affront to the nearly 3,000 American civilians who died that day, the heroes who ran up the stairs in the World Trade Center to their certain deaths, the passengers who stormed the cockpit on United Flight 93, the surviving family members and friends, and those who still suffer and die from the effects of that day.

"September 11, 2001 is still very much with us." . . .

What an unprecedented Biden ad blitz says about his reelection fight

Biden super PAC ad campaign begins in swing states - POLITICO

A super PAC affiliate is spending $13 million far ahead of the normal advertising timeline.

"The cavalry is arriving extraordinarily early for President Joe Biden.

"With poll after brutal poll showing the president in danger of losing a likely rematch with former President Donald Trump, his campaign is getting an unusual boost from a super PAC spending millions of dollars to resuscitate public opinion of him in major battlegrounds.

"The ads are striking for both their timing and their content.

"The election is still 423 days away, and Biden and an affiliate of his chief super PAC are already running TV ads in nearly every major battleground state — far earlier than normal for a presidential election. And instead of going on the attack, as super PACs usually do, the ads are trying to boost Biden’s image." . .  .

. . ."Here are five things to know about the early Biden ad blitz:. . ."
