The Democrats Are Hogging the Wilderness

The Democrat Party’s selection of Ken Martin and David Hogg as their new leaders prove that they haven’t learned anything and still need to spend time in wilderness timeout before trying to be relevant again.

David Hogg Needs a Reality Check About Who He's 'Fighting'

"This isn’t just a verdict on their party leaders, though it is that. They’ve got some real problems with finding a standard bearer. It’s this bad…  2028 National Democratic Primary (+/- shift vs December)

• Harris - 33% (-2) • Buttigieg - 9% (-3) • Newsom - 7% (=) • Ocasio-Cortez - 6% (+3) • Shapiro - 3% (-2) • Walz - 3% (-2) • Whitmer - 3% (=) • Klobuchar - 3% (+2) • Stephen A. Smith - 2% (new) • Booker - 2% (=)

"There’s an awful lot you can glean from that poll."

. . .For one thing, it tells you that Democrat voters are terribly uninformed. A third of them are for Kamala Harris largely because they don’t even know who else is out there, and a majority of them are for one of the people on that list because of identity politics.

"You don’t get good candidates that way. And a primary electorate in which AOC doubles up Josh Shapiro is a really, really unhealthy petri dish from which to grow a relevant party.

"This is why it’s considerably more instructive that David Hogg is your new DNC vice chair, or one of them, than that Martin is the chair.

"There are few people less appealing or interesting than David Hogg. This is somebody whose sole source of political relevance is the fact that he was not killed in the Parkland, Florida shooting, and therefore he was handed a platform from which to opine about Australia-style gun control.

"When any reasonable examination of that terrible event shows that the availability of firearms was far, far less the source of the problem than Democrat policies discouraging or barring disciplinary actions against dangerously deranged students. Not to mention the utter and complete failure of the local police to intervene timely when things went horribly wrong both before and during the shooting.

"Hogg has gone around flogging the “Defund the Police” shibboleth. And he still sounds like he did in 2018…"

Taking It to the Streets … Democrats Finally Revert to Vindictive Form

American Spectator

Jeffries brought Democrats back to where they are most comfortable. To the street. To who they are, who they really long to be.

Hakeem Jeffries – CLAYTOONZ

"It didn’t take long for Democrats to revert to form: a call to arms. Or rather, the streets. For Democrats, that’s a distinction without a difference. Arms, streets — it’s all the same and it’s all the Left.

"Democrats have been straining to play nice, all while chomping at the bit to be themselves. Instead, they have struck the pose of contrast to the caricature they created of Jan. 6, 2021, and with which they sought to tar conservatives and Republicans.

" 'Extremists,” “insurrectionists,” “threats to democracy” they chanted as mantras, hoping that saying it enough would make it fact. More than a message, that has been their script since Jan. 7, 2021. When Donald Trump’s second inauguration came, Democrats were self-consciously conscious to not be Jan. 6 — at all costs, they wanted to maintain the contrast that existed in their minds.

"Then came Hakeem Jeffries’s statement last week. Regarding the Trump administration agenda, Jeffries said: “We’re going to fight it in the streets.” It took less than two weeks for Democrats to drop their forced façade of moderation.

"Welcome back to the faded memories of the aftermath of Trump’s 2016 upset over Hillary Clinton and their extended tantrum for the next four years. There was the lecture of Vice President-elect Mike Pence and his family at the Hamilton show. There were repeated disruptions of the electoral vote count of Trump’s 2016 victory. There were refusals to serve Trump administration officials when they went to restaurants. There had been Rep. Maxine Waters’s unhinged call for harassment.

"Then there were the memories of 2019 and 2020, when flush with their midterm takeover of the House, Democrats had unleashed countless investigations and hearings of the Trump administration. There was Speaker Pelosi defiantly tearing up Trump’s speech as she stood behind him at his 2020 State of the Union address. There were not one, but two, impeachments of Trump and a staged and stacked Jan. 6, 2021, investigation.

"Beginning in 2023, the tools of Democrats’ radicalism were put away — as though another inconvenient Hunter Biden laptop — as they copped a pose of moderation juxtaposed to extremism. Democrats unleashed lawfare to formalize the juxtapositional theater they had been pursuing." . . .  More...

Did You Notice What's Missing From Netanyahu's Schedule While Visiting Capitol Hill?

 Rebecca Downs; Townhall

"Last July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress, though he did so with many Democrats, including then-President Joe Biden and -Vice President Kamala Harris--the latter of whom was supposed to preside--skipping out of the event. He's returned to Capitol Hill for another visit, though this time it looks to be a much different situation, least of all because Israel has more of an ally in President Donald Trump. While Netanyahu is reportedly meeting with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), that may not be the case with another top Democrat, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)." . . .

. . ."Yes, as Jewish Insider mentions, Democrats are indeed "now out of power in Washington," and they've indeed criticized him heavily. That they maligned and sought to turn him into a pariah might be more accurate, especially when it comes to all the boycotts from last July's address. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) had to be reprimanded for holding a sign declaring Netanyahu to be a "war criminal" and "guilty of genocide." Then there's how Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) gleefully offered to serve the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant for the prime minister. Tlaib, a member of the anti-Israel Squad, isn't the only one to go after Netanyahu. Tlaib and now-former Rep. Jamaal Bowman, another member of the Squad, both referred to Netanyahu as a "maniac." Still, another Squad member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), is also not such a fan, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) especially is not. " . .  .

DHS Resistance Leader Burned in Hidden Camera Video Detailing How They Will Fight Kristi Noem

RedState    For an "apolitical" civil service, politics certainly seems to color many of its activities. Last week, President Trump placed 50-60 senior executives with the US Agency for International Development on administrative leave (see Trump Suspends As Many As 60 Senior Bureaucrats for Trying to Evade His Executive Orders – RedState) for attempting to sabotage his efforts to cut grants to such worthy project as transgender Nigerian dance troupes; see WATCH: Press Hounds Karoline Leavitt About USAID, and She Comes Off the Top Rope With the Receipts.

"Across the federal government, we hear stories of resistance brewing. The stories are probably exaggerated but real nonetheless. And every once in a while, one of the goobers gets out over their skis and gets burned. This one, thanks to James O'Keefe and the poor girl who had to go on a date with him.

"The target was a guy named Brandon Wright, who is a GS-14 IT manager at the Department of Homeland Security." . . .

Brandon Wright, Platform Services Manager for DHS, was recorded saying that the agency’s career bureaucrats do not allow political appointees to interfere with their operations. He told the undercover reporter, "Kristi Noem? I f*cking hate her."

“The secretaries can set the priorities for the department, but they can't actually tell us what to do,” Wright told an undercover OMG journalist, later adding, "The truth is, we don't let them [secretaries] get in our way.” He said, "If we don’t agree with those priorities, there is a lot of room for interpretation, in terms of how we interpret what those priorities are." . . .

Just because you are part of an apolitical service, like the Civil Service or Armed Forces, doesn't mean you can't have political opinions. What it means is that you can't let your politics interfere with the job, and you can't carry out a guerilla war against your agency's leadership because you disagree with their politics.

The Medal of Honor Museum Cruelly Dishonors MoH Recipient Before It Opens Its Doors

Jim Thompson RedState

"For over a decade, the public didn’t see the Predator video. The public access wasn’t via a FOIA request. It wasn’t given to Chapman’s family, nor did the Pentagon produce it voluntarily. It was leaked to the public, likely because someone did not want Chapman’s desperate fight alone to be whitewashed."

"On March 4, 2002, as daylight was replacing darkness, Air Force combat controller John Chapman was fighting for his life. He was fighting alone on a snow-covered mountain in Afghanistan called Takur Ghar. The SEAL team he was attached to (codenamed MAKO 30), commanded by Senior Chief Britt Slabinski, had left him for dead. But Chapman wasn’t dead. After battling alone for the better part of an hour in the bitter cold, Chapman was almost out of ammunition. A Chinook (Razor 01) with a QRF of Rangers was 45 seconds from landing. Firing in three directions, Chapman was still killing Al Qaeda and laying down suppressing fire when he slipped his mortal coil. An Al Qaeda fighter took his life with a bullet to the heart. That final, fatal wound was his 16th battle wound. Chapman had fought to the last second of his life. Had he not, it is likely Razor 01 and the men aboard could have suffered the same fate as Chapman. As it was, three QRF soldiers were gunned down as the loaded Chinook settled into knee-deep snow.

"Thirteen hours later, it was over. Operation Anaconda had failed. Miserably. It was bound for failure. Multiple command decisions before and during the operation cost the lives of seven men.

"After the battle, DEVGRU SEALs universally praised Chapman’s heroism. He was one of them, they said. Today, Chapman’s name is the only non-SEAL on the Navy SEALs wall of honor in Virginia Beach. In after-action statements, SEALs praised Chapman. Chapman was put in for the Air Force Cross (the equivalency of the Navy Cross). That medal was quickly approved. Britt Slabinski, the man who had left Chapman for dead but had never checked Chapman's body for signs of life, received the Navy Cross." . . .

. . ."The hot breath of veteran wrath and the bite of facts can be seen on the petition's comments page. Now, it has over 20,000 signatures and counting. You can find the petition here." . . .

Jake Gyllenhaal Set to Play Medal of Honor Recipient John Chapman in ‘Combat Control’   . . ."The Combat Controllers are a highly classified unit, and the emergence of Chapman’s story in recent years has been the first most Americans have heard of their work. Chapman was the first Air Force member to be recognized with a Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War." . . .

To Announce They’ve Given Up Completely, DNC Selects David Hogg As Vice Chair: Babylon Bee

Babylon Bee  (Parody) "NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Announcing that it has now given up entirely, the Democratic National Committee selected David Hogg as its new Vice Chair.

"The selection represents a powerful statement to the country that the DNC has no hope whatsoever, is an abject embarrassment, and has given in to despair.

" 'By choosing David Hogg, we are letting the nation know that the DNC is utterly doomed," said Executive Committee member Miranda Langley. "We are forfeiting all pretense of being a successful organization, and welcome our final, total destruction. With David Hogg as our leader, the country can rest assured that the DNC has simply given up."

"According to internal sources, the Democratic National Committee felt that naming Hogg as Vice Chair was the simplest way to announce that it had stopped trying. "How better to let rank-and-file Democrats know that we have abandoned the cause," said former DNC member Steve Cranton. "Obviously, we no longer care and look forward to the sweet release of death. Thank you, David!"

"At publishing time, the DNC had announced that it would attempt to destroy itself entirely by declaring that its leading candidate for 2028 is Kamala Harris."

. . ."With Bryan's work experience running the drive-through at Chick-Fil-A, we expect his taking over three million federal jobs to be seamless," said Trump's Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. "We believe Bryan will also provide a massive upgrade in terms of how pleasant it will be to interact with government employees. He is just so darn polite."

"Sanders will remain enrolled in high school and plans to squeeze in doing the entire work of the federal government each evening before his homework. "Of course, we don't want Bryan doing three million people's jobs to interfere with his studies, but we think he will handle it just fine," said Sander's mom Julie. "If he can handle the lunch rush at Chick-Fil-A, doing the work of a million bureaucrats will be a cinch." . . .

Trump would send Gaza’s people to Egypt, Jordan — and that makes perfect sense

NY Post

Beyond the psychological abuse, they were both physically beaten and kept in cages.

"President Trump recently floated a fantastic idea: Arab nations, he said, should accept large numbers of Gazans as refugees, a move that “could be temporary or long-term.”

"The accommodation would allow Israel to eliminate the remnants of Hamas, which, in turn, would allow the international community to rebuild Gaza.

"Not only would such a policy enhance the prospects of peace, but it’s also humane.

While Gazans shouldn’t be compelled to move from their homes, they should be allowed to escape the generational tragedy foisted on them by the Arab world and their nihilistic leaders. And Israelis should monetarily incentivize them to move to safer environs.

"Because one of the prevailing myths of the Israel-Arab conflict is that Palestinians have a deep historic connection to the land that goes back centuries.

"It’s debatable, considering evidence shows that most Arabs immigrated to British Palestine from Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the late 19th and early 20th century, lured by the prosperity created by returning Jews." . . .

Obama's Fundamental Transformation Is Blowing Up

Stephen Green
"Lol and he just bought a $15M beachfront mansion... seems Obama doesn't believe in oceans rising." Comment to the video below.

" 'We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America," Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama promised on the campaign trail in 2008. Up until that moment, Obama had carefully couched his red diaper radicalism in the language of moderation, of healing, of "one America."

"It's impossible to say for sure whether Obama accidentally let slip the real foundation of his candidacy or if he was feeling so cocky that close to election day that he felt he could get away with anything. But I've always felt it was the latter.

"Trump was obviously kidding when he claimed in 2016 that he could "shoot somebody and... wouldn’t lose voters." Obama wasn't at all kidding about wanting to fundamentally transform America.

"Conservatives and (most) Republicans shouted, "DANGER, Will Robinson, DANGER!" when Obama finally said it out loud. Even the press (belatedly and in only one small instance) kinda-sorta noticed. Here's a transcript culled from a conversation PBS host Charlie Rose had with NBC anchor Tom Brokaw one day after Obama's "fundamental transformation" line:

  • ROSE: I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
  • BROKAW: No, I don't, either.
  • ROSE: I don't know how he really sees where China is.
  • BROKAW: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
  • ROSE: I don't really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?
  • BROKAW: Yeah, it's an interesting question.
  • ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational speeches.
  • BROKAW: Two of them! I don't know what books he's read.
  • ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
  • BROKAW: There's a lot about him we don't know.

"That was as close as the press ever got to doing due diligence on the most radical man ever to win the White House. Not just too little but also too late — Obama's election had been a 99% certainty for weeks." . . .

Trump Fires Karen Rochlin, US Prosecutor Who Begged Judge to Send Jenna Ryan to Prison for Peacefully Protesting on Jan 6th

 Jenna Ryan’s Newsletter

"Rochlin was among dozens of prosecutors fired, and she prosecuted many of the Jan. 6th politically persecuted victims." . . .

Jenna Ryan Photo from 2019, Happier Times

"Karen Rochlin was the US Prosecutor who was switched to my case at the last minute, after I signed the plea deal, and before I was sentenced to 60 days in prison in Washington DC on Constitution Avenue. Last night, on President Trump’s 12 day in office, it was announced that the interim leaders in the DOJ have purged the agency of prosecutors involved in the January 6th Capitol fiasco. Rochlin was among dozens of prosecutors fired, and she prosecuted many of the Jan. 6th politically persecuted victims.

"I must say, this is an emotional time for me, in that this woman was so heinous towards me, treated me so inhumanely and with such disdain, Her lack of a soul, of integrity or ethics in her handling of my case was striking and abusive. It is a time of reflection, and a feeling of relief that someone who was so callous, cruel and dishonest will no longer be working in our government and attacking hardworking citizens.

"I could write 10,000 pages about the details of the harm this woman bestowed upon my life, but I will spare you all the details and just share with you in bulleted form the highlights of what I consider to be a ghoulish replica of human flesh; and the direct harm she inflicted upon me." . . .

Trump DOJ fires FBI agents, lawyers who worked on Jan. 6 cases

"The Justice Department took sweeping actions Friday against FBI agents and prosecutors involved in investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot by ordering firings and warning that thousands more could face "personnel action."

"President Donald Trump's acting deputy attorney general, Emil Bove, issued the directives, which sent shockwaves across the bureau just before the weekend. Bove ordered the FBI to dismiss eight executive-level officials and demanded a list of names by Tuesday of anyone else who had any interactions with the Jan. 6 investigation, according to an email.

"Multiple people confirmed to the Washington Examiner that FBI acting Director Brian Driscoll sent the email to the bureau, saying that such a list would include "thousands of employees across the country."

"In addition to anyone involved with the wide-ranging Jan. 6 investigation, Driscoll said Bove also unexpectedly asked for names of people involved with a case in New York that was unsealed in September against Ismail Haniyeh and others, who are alleged members of the Hamas terrorist group.

Driscoll wrote that he and his deputy, Robert Kissane, will both be named on the list he provides to Bove. Driscoll wrote that he would provide more information to the bureau once he had it and that he planned to "follow the law, follow FBI policy, and do what's in the best interest of the workforce and the American people — always."

Debris was seen scattered throughout the residential neighborhood in Philadelphia where the air ambulance fell from the skies on Friday night

UK Daily Mail

"The aftermath of the catastrophe was captured on harrowing drone footage, which showed the chaotic scenes on the ground."

"Shocking footage from the ground soon emerged after the plane went down, as at least six people - all from Mexico - lost their lives when it plummeted into a densely populated area in northern Philadelphia.

The aircraft, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was bound for Tijuana, Mexico, with a stop at Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.

The plane had just taken off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport when it fell from the sky, tragically carrying the young pediatric patient and their escort following life-saving medical treatment.

The crash site, near Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, quickly became engulfed in flames, with buildings and vehicles caught in the inferno.

Shai Gold, a spokesman for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating how the young girl had fought tirelessly to survive her illness.

'She did her course of care. She was going home,' Gold said. 'She fought quite a lot to survive, and unfortunately, this tragedy on the way home.'

On board the ill-fated flight were the girl's mother, a pilot, a co-pilot, a doctor, and a paramedic, each of whom had dedicated themselves to ensuring the child's safe return. But in a cruel twist of fate, the journey ended in disaster.

The Learjet 55, often used for critical medical transport, is a lifeline for patients like the young girl who was onboard. The girl was a patient of Shriners Children's Philadelphia, the hospital confirmed." . . .

I'm the Mayor of Yuma, Arizona. Trump Is Already Transforming Our Border | Opinion

 Newsweek

I have summed this up in my emergency proclamations, which I believe is President Trump's approach: This is a federal issue, not a local issue. We need a federal response, not a local response.

"Being the Mayor of a city can be difficult. Actually, being Mayor is difficult. Being the Mayor of a border city when officials in Washington D.C. don't recognize the glaring border security failure is extremely difficult.

"That is the position I have been in for the last four years. I became Mayor of Yuma in 2014. Yuma is located at the intersection of the Arizona, California and Mexico borders. International realities are a part of life in Yuma.

"The border was relatively quiet—with occasional issues of large groups arriving at the Port of Entry in San Luis—during my first term. The events were brief and would go away as fast as they arose.

"Then it all changed in 2019.

"Caravans of hundreds of migrants began crossing the border illegally. U.S. Border Patrol quickly exceeded capacity and were forced by the Flores Settlement Agreement to release these migrants with children within 72 hours into the streets of Yuma.

"Upon receiving the first notice of these releases, I proclaimed a local State of Emergency. When the Trump Administration heard, their Intergovernmental Affairs Department called to invite me to speak with President Trump in the Oval Office."...

. . ."I had meetings with DHS officials including Secretary Mayorkas, yet no change in policies. I was simply told that the border was secure." . . .

. . ."I had meetings with DHS officials including Secretary Mayorkas, yet no change in policies. I was simply told that the border was secure.

"We had a peak of 1,500 migrants crossing the border illegally in one day, and there was still no effective federal response. Three and a half years into the Biden Administration, there was finally a new policy shift that had some minor impact—too little, too late." . . .
