Just Wait Until Liberals Learn About Syllogisms
"The world-shaking, democracy-ending violent uprisings “against the government as a whole” in Little Rock and Tuscaloosa mostly consisted of verbal threats, racist taunts, spitting and the throwing of eggs, sticks and rocks. (Also mean chants: “Two, four, six, eight! We don’t want to integrate!”) But Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy thought that was enough to deploy federal troops in express defiance of the states’ governors. So does history." . . .
"As I’ve been pointing out forever, liberals don’t understand analogies, one of the most basic building blocks of logic, at least since Aristotle.
"This failing has been on display at MSNBC for some years now. Whenever conservatives demand that the same standards be applied to Donald Trump as are applied to Democrats, MSNBC hosts charge: “Whataboutism!”
"That’s not “whataboutism.” It’s called “the rule of law.”
Whataboutism originally referred to the Soviet Union’s practice of covering up the multiple failures of communism — long food lines, shoddy apartments, no electricity, planes crashing, etc. — by saying, But what about the crime rate in the United States? What about the civil rights abuses? What about Watergate?
In other words, whataboutism consists of changing the subject to some random failing of one’s opponent.
[A friend traveling in Russia at the time reported that the Soviets’ saturation coverage of the Watergate hearings did not have its intended effect. Instead of wowing Russians with the deficiencies of capitalism, actual Russians’ main question to my friend about the hearings was: “Do all Americans have such nice shoes?”]
"By contrast, analogies, especially in politics and the law, are used to vindicate the principle that like cases should be treated alike.
"Liberals hate that. They refuse to accept generally applicable rules. The only question for them is: Whose ox is gored? If it’s Trump, he’s guilty, no further information is needed. But if it’s a lefty who’s done the same thing — or 20 times worse — it’s: How dare you question this man’s character?
"On MSNBC, Mika Brzezinski said that equating Trump’s possession of classified documents with Joe Biden’s possession of classified documents was a classic case of whataboutism. Those aren’t even like cases — they’re identical ones.
"Stephanie Ruhle said the same thing about comparisons of the Trump indictments to the Biden family’s corruption, such as foreign interests funneling millions of dollars to the president’s son, Hunter Biden, for nonexistent services. Whataboutism!
"Mehdi Hasan, failing to grasp that whataboutism — at a bare minimum — requires some sort of comparison, called any mention of Hunter Biden whataboutism.
"A classic example of liberals’ situational view of justice happened to another friend after he got picked to serve on a jury while at Yale law school. When his fellow law students found out it was a rape case, they demanded that he find the defendant guilty.
" 'Yes, but you don’t know the facts of the case.
" 'What facts?
" 'The defendant is black.
" 'You have to acquit!" . . .
When the Left Dreamed of a King: Democrats’ Embrace of Executive Power in the Obama-Era
"Most of Congress was in office before President Obama was elected and most will be there when he leaves. Powerful members of Congress are like summer camp counselors and Obama is like the camper. He will only be there a relatively short amount of time, but they will remain to run the camp. And they know it."
"There was a time, not too long ago, when liberals harbored a strange yearning for a monarch, as long as it was former President Barack Obama. They applauded each instance in which he stretched the limits of his authority, and grew frustrated during moments when they felt he hadn’t gone far enough—especially on issues like illegal immigration.
"If you don’t believe me, believe CNN contributor Dean Obeidallah. In a 2012 op-ed, he argued, “Liberals want Obama to be a king, not a president.” He noted that more than a few prominent Democrats had publicly expressed their disappointment in Obama.
"Singer Jackson Browne said Obama was “just as beholden to the people who put him in office as any of the Republicans would be.”
"Actor Matt Damon had also “very publicly attacked” the president:
Damon even went so far as to heap praise on former President Bush, saying: “I would kiss George W. Bush on the mouth” in appreciation for his work fighting AIDS in Africa. Although Damon did note his kiss of Bush would be limited to: “Three seconds, no tongue.”
"Even the “distinguished professor Cornel West,” he wrote, called Obama, “A black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.”
"Moreover, Obeidallah cited a recent Gallup poll that showed Obama’s support among liberals at 70%, a seven-month low." . . .
Michelle Obama cannot contain her contempt for Barack
"Michelle has pushed back against divorce rumors, and I believe her. Unless she wants to move on to a new man (and there’s no indication that she does), the marriage probably works the way Bill’s and Hillary’s does: A political power couple who, now that the power game is finally at an end, no longer want each other’s company, but could still badly hurt by the scandal of a divorce."... VDH: The ‘Donald Trump Is Evil’ Routine Isn’t Going to Cut It Anymore
. . ."So, something is missing here. And I think I know what it is. If you do not have a coherent, positive message—and the Democrats don’t—and you keep haranguing and trying to smear and slander and talk about killing the president of the United States, then people are going to lose confidence here. And that’s what’s happened in California with Mayor Karen Bass, Gavin Newsom. And it’s happening on a national scene." . . .
Who is behind the No Kings protests?
"It is long past time for real answers. Who owns the No Kings domain? Who receives the emails? Who paid for the infrastructure? Who designed the logo and coordinated the livestream? These are not unsolvable mysteries." . . .
Todd Baumann "If China is involved in the recent No Kings protests across the U.S., it’s potentially an act of war.
"The circumstantial evidence is on full display. Rep. Erick Swalwell (D-Calif.) was on hand at a No Kings protest this weekend. It was Swalwell who was compromised by a female Chinese spy and served on the House Intelligence Committee. Yet he feels emboldened to stand with No Kings without consequence.
"That is a problem all by itself.
"We’re constantly told these riots are highly organized and coordinated. What we’re not told is who is responsible. Who’s funding the travel, the signage, the livestreams, the paid organizers? We’re told there are progressive groups behind it. If there are CCP financiers behind it, we should know. Our law enforcement officials should tell us.
"The media avoid questions like the plague. The Biden-holdover bureaucrats in the Intelligence Community won’t say. And the current FBI director, Kash Patel, seems to be staring into space while Attorney General Pam Bondi offers no public clarity. If this is what decisive national security leadership looks like, the American people are right to be concerned.
"To be fair, Patel did say he’s looking into foreign influence here. Historically, an announcement like this is meant to assure the American people that something is being done. In reality, it rarely goes beyond that. The assurance dies on the vine and is replaced by other shiny toys from future news cycles.
"Meanwhile, George Soros’s son — long rumored to help bankroll these sorts of operations — just married Huma Abedin, daughter of Saleha Abedin, a Muslim Sisterhood leader. The “wedding” took place on the same day as the original No Kings day of protest. There are mountains of evidence that Huma’s connections to the group should have prevented her from ever obtaining a security clearance when she served secretary of State Hillary Clinton. All those who looked the other way, to include elected Republicans, are dirty." . . .
Memo To Tucker: This Is Not Iraq War II
"What’s more, everyone (that is, every reasonable person) agrees that a mullah-run Iran with a nuclear weapon is intolerable. Which makes Carlson’s unshakable belief that Iran doesn’t want to develop nukes difficult to swallow." . . .
"President Donald Trump hit back with a post on Truth Social saying “Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that, ‘IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”
'Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene jumped in with Carlson saying, “Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA.”
'The mainstream media is loving all this because they delight in anything that undermines Trump. But from our perspective, Carlson hasn’t come close to making his case.
'Carlson seems to think, without much evidence, that this is a repeat of the Iraq fiasco, wherein the U.S. justified war based on a false belief that Saddam Hussein had a vast arsenal of weapons of mass destruction.
'At the time, there was good reason to believe Hussein did, if only because he was so defiant about allowing international inspectors, per the ceasefire agreement he signed at the end of the Gulf War, to verify that he wasn’t building or storing WMDs.
'It was only after U.S. troops toppled Hussein’s regime that it became clear that he was engaged in theatrics in an apparent attempt to raise his stature in the region by making the world think he had WMDs.
'So, is that what Iran is doing? And are we falling for the same ruse again?
'Carlson and Co. clearly believe so.
“ 'I feel like I’ve been hearing that Iran is weeks away from a nuclear weapon for at least 25 years,” he said on his show recently. That episode featured “world-renowned economist” Jeffrey Sachs (who endorsed Jill Stein for president) saying, as Carlson nodded, that: “Iran does not want a nuclear weapon, Iran’s neighbors like the Saudis and others in the Gulf do not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon. Iran’s major ally, Russia, does not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and Iran doesn’t want a nuclear weapon." . . .

Jim Acosta’s Shame Deficiency Matches His Irrelevance
"Half the country doesn’t like Trump, but the only people in that group becoming emotional wrecks over the president are generally CNN or MSNBC viewers. The vast majority of the country gave up on legacy corporate media outlets who push the narratives Jim Acosta pushes years ago."
"He isn’t relevant anymore, as he’s gone from CNN’s White House correspondent and primetime host to a Substack blogger over the past six months, but Jim Acosta still managed to irritate a large number of Americans
by casting folks in rural flyover territory as mindless rubes hoodwinked by the Trumpian far-right:Former CNN host Jim Acosta claimed on Tuesday that farmers are being “led astray” and voting for “far-right” candidates in U.S. elections.Acosta stated during a Center For American Progress discussion that the “far-right” has figured out how to “infiltrate the heartland” and get farmers to side with the political right. While name dropping the late conservative host Rush Limbaugh, Acosta argued that many Americans are not getting their information from reliable news.“The far-right in this country has kind of figured out a way to infiltrate the heartland and to basically to pull Ma and Pa from the farm to their point of view,” Acosta said. “And as it turns out, a lot of these folks vote in these elections and a lot of those folks have been completely led astray. I hate to say it, but they’ve just been completely led astray. And we’ve all just let this happen on our watch with essentially a business model for delivering the news in this country that just does not work anymore.” . . .
Hackers Just Took Over Iran’s State TV — Here’s What They Had to Say
Jeff Charles " Hackers have reportedly infiltrated Iran’s state-run media outlets and are using the airwaves to encourage Iranians to rise up against their government.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show Iran’s TV broadcasts being hijacked. The television screen shows images of the recent protests against the regime’s onerous laws against women. “Rise up! This is your moment! Go out into the streets! Take control of your future,” the subtitles read.
The text further notes that “the regime has failed to protect Iran’s airspace, it has failed in its offensive efforts. It has failed to protect your money.”
The hackers also took the regime to task for funneling their money into its military endeavors instead of taking care of its citizens.
"This is not the first time hackers have targeted Iranian state television. Back in 2022, hacktivist group Edalat-e Ali took over a live broadcast. They displayed a picture of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with the words “The Blood of Our Youths Is on Your Hands” emblazoned on the screen. It showed images of women’s rights activist Mahsa Amini and three other girls murdered by the regime during the protests.
NBC News reported on Wednesday that hackers also made their way into Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex. They drained the exchange of more than $90 million.

Zohran Mamdani, candidate for NY Mayor
Israeli–Palestinian conflict
"Mamdani walked down a Harlem street with former mayoral candidate Maya Wiley to announce her support for his campaign. However, the endorsement was quickly overshadowed by questions about comments Mamdani made on a podcast in which Jewish groups say he was equating the Holocaust with intifada." CBS
| NY Post |
"Mamdani supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. He describes Israel's actions during the Gaza war as genocide.[49]
"Early in 2023, Mamdani introduced a bill called the "Not on our dime!: Ending New York Funding of Israeli Settler Violence Act", which would prohibit registered charities from donating to organizations that support illegal Israeli settlers.[50][30] In November 2023, he joined Cynthia Nixon in a five-day hunger strike outside Washington, D.C. in support of an immediate ceasefire and in opposition to President Biden's support of the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.[51][52][53] In 2024, he held an iftar for a ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan.[54]
"In 2025, Mamdani declined to sign on to the annual Assembly resolution celebrating the anniversary of Israel's founding.[55] His campaign spokesperson Andrew Epstein said Mamdani opposed the measure because it contained the wording that Israel "continues to strive for peace with security and dignity for itself, its neighbors and throughout the world in order to fulfill the prophecy of becoming a light unto the nations", which Epstein said "is belied by the conduct of the right-wing government over the past 18 months".[55] His decision drew criticism from Assembly member Sam Berger, who criticized Mamdani's condemnation of Israel after the October 7 attacks during the Gaza war.[55] In response to the criticism, Mamdani said he abhorred antisemitism and believed in a right for Israel to exist.[49] He has said that Israel has a right to exist as a state with equal rights.[56] On May 16, 2025, Politico ran an article alleging that Mamdani declined to support Holocaust remembrance resolutions.[57] Mamdani released a video through social media claiming that the article was misleading and that he signed these resolutions but that he didn’t allow staffers to list his name as sponsor on bills without his review.[58]
"Social issues
"Mamdani supported Proposal 1, a 2024 amendment to the Constitution of New York that made it unconstitutional to engage in discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, sex (including sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression), pregnancy and pregnancy-related outcomes, and reproductive healthcare and autonomy.[59][60][61]
"In February 2025, Mamdani appeared at a rally in Union Square to protest an executive order signed by President Donald Trump that threatened to "withhold federal funding from hospitals that provide gender-affirming treatments to trans youth".[62][63]" . . .

Devastating Video Reminds Democrats How They Covered Up for Biden's Mental Failings
"Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who was co-chairing the hearing, also reposted to his X account on Wednesday. During the hearing, as he addressed the lack of Democrats present except for Welch, Cornyn noted that this left them "with no other option than to take the boycotting of this hearing as an admission of guilt for their role in this crisis." He added that "we must not turn away from this search for answers."
"The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Wednesday about former President Joe Biden's mental failings when he was in office, "Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Cover-Up Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution," though it was a hearing that Senate Democrats refused to attend or, in the case of Ranking Member Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT), walked out of. Other than their performative theatrics, such a move shows how members of the former president's own party still continue to cover up for him. The hearing took place days after National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a video about such a cover-up, which is making the rounds once more.
"The video was a compilation of Democrats, including in the media, claiming that Biden could somehow run for reelection and serve another four years if he were to be reelected in 2024. As CNN's Scott Jennings called out such an absurd claim, noting they did so with "a straight face," Karen Finney, also of CNN and who worked for the Clinton campaign in 2016, indeed had a straight look on her face. Others defending Biden with a straight face included Sens. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), as well as Rep. Chris Papas (D-NH), in addition to Sens. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and Cory Booker (D-NJ).
"Many of those Democrats are actually on the Senate Judiciary Committee, including Klobuchar, Booker, and Schiff. Ossoff was previously on the Committee." . . .
Soros vs. American Society
. . . "Trump is using Los Angeles as a testing ground to advance his authoritarian agenda and divert attention from his own political troubles. The unilateral deployment of the National Guard and the Marines marks a dangerous escalation in his effort to use military force as a tool of control.
"It is this kind of inflammatory rhetoric that feeds escalation and violence. The Left’s strategy is clear: encourage arson, vandalism and looting, and then blame the violence on the law enforcement response. Misrepresenting the ongoing agitation in Los Angeles as “peaceful” is not going to work.
"Based in Chicago, Alianza is also funded by George Soros-related foundations. The group’s biggest claim to fame is a lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis following the transport of illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
"In October 2022, NLPC Counsel Paul Kamenar filed a Complaint with the Internal Revenue Service asking for an investigation of the group’s lobbying members of Congress in 2019 and 2020 for the expansion of Temporary Protected Status, a legal designation that allows illegal immigrants to stay in the United States if their home countries are deemed too dangerous. In July 2023, NLPC filed a second Complaint alleging that the lobbying continued in 2021.
"The Complaints allege that Alianza engaged in extensive lobbying of Congress, in violation of its 501(c)(3), tax-exempt status. For the years in question, Alianza Americas falsely reported on its tax returns that it did not engage in lobbying. Click here to read the Complaint.
"Alianza’s media release quoted Luis Lopez Resendiz, Operations Director of Comunidades IndÃgenas en Liderazgo (CIELO) in Los Angeles, and Board member of Alianza Americas:
Over the weekend, our communities in Los Angeles heard with deep concern that our neighbors were being racially profiled and unjustly arrested by ICE. In response, dozens of angelinos peacefully showed up to support our neighbors. These very actions were met with unnecessary violence. We will continue to advocate for the due process rights of all who were arrested and detained by ICE’s unjust actions.”
"Alianza is just one of many open borders groups bankrolled by Soros’ Open Society Foundations. In the April 22, 2025 New York magazine, liberal journalist Simon van Zuylen-Wood argued that Soros funding is so ubiquitous that Democrat politicians are forced to embrace the most extreme pro-immigration positions. For more, see this article by NLPC Sr. Fellow Carl Horowitz titled, How Soros Created and Underwrote the Illegal Immigration Crisis."

Israeli Air Strikes and Iranian Missile Barrages Are Far From Over
"An Israeli official speaking to the Times of Israel exposed how this was all a ruse. The verbal tension between Trump and Netanyahu, Trump’s plea for restraint before the weekend talks, and even other peripheral dialogues over new hostage deals in Gaza, and the potential collapse of Netanyahu’s coalition government earlier this week, had been a distracting ruse to convince Iran that an Israeli attack would not happen before Sunday.
How Israel Strikes Iran Nuclear Sites How Israel Strikes Iran Nuclear Sites
"The decades-long showdown, muscle flexing, and verbal sparring between Iran and Israel reached a new milestone in the early morning hours of Friday, June 13, as Israel carried out massive attacks on Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure and repelled retaliatory missile and drone barrages from Iran over Israeli civilian centers.
"Sirens went off across Israel around 3 AM on Friday as the population scrambled out of bed for the nearest bomb shelter, anticipating the all-too-familiar sound of rocket interceptions overhead. But no interceptions came, and the early morning hours remained uncannily quiet.
"When sirens stopped, a series of cell phone notifications alerted the population that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) had initiated Operation Rising Lion to cripple Iran’s nuclear capabilities and that Israel was now under a new state of emergency for Iranian retaliation.
Operation Rising Lion
"The opening salvos of Rising Lion involved over 200 IAF jets easily traversing Syrian and Iraqi airspace to drop more than 330 munitions on key Iranian targets. The operation unfolded in five successive waves throughout Friday morning and afternoon, causing devastating damage to Iran’s uranium enrichment and nuclear facilities, destroying ballistic missile depots, launch sites, military and defense infrastructure, and executing targeted strikes on top Iranian military and nuclear officials. Reports confirmed 78 dead with more than 300 wounded.
"The Natanz uranium enrichment facility, Iran’s largest underground nuclear site with the infrastructure to enrich military-grade uranium, was attacked multiple times while the country’s other two enrichment centers at Fordo and near Isfahan were not hit.
"The attack had been years in planning, evident by Mossad operations to smuggle weapons systems, drones, and commandos inside Iran that were activated on Friday morning to destroy Iran’s surface-to-air defense systems, allowing Israeli jets to have air superiority.
"The objective was to cripple Iran’s nuclear program. For two months, U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration had engaged the Iranian regime in talks concerning the future of its nuclear program and concerns over obtaining nuclear weapons. As talks faltered and stalled, Israel grew increasingly concerned at the possibility that Iran was on the verge of producing a nuclear weapon if not already possessing one." . . .
