Who's Paying for Antifa and Why Are They Protected by Progressives? Let's Look at the Books.

Victoria Taft

"I asked Bruner to come back on my Adult in the Room Podcast to break it all down for us. And I asked him why do these progressive blue-city, blue-state governments force their citizens to tolerate this violence?"

"How do they afford it? How do Antifa militants on the streets of Portland afford all the stuff that allows them to spend hours a day in waiting till the night so they can make life a living hell for Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers trying to come in or go out of the driveway? And why does the city protect them?

"We all know somebody's paying for all the prepared deli sandwiches and pastries that keep that topless lady in the wheelchair and her theater kid pals in rolls and butter.

"That storage unit full of their supplies costs money. Who's paying for that safe house down the street that Antifa militants use for rest and costume changes? Why do they get a pass from the cops? Why do elected officials make excuses for their violence and pretend it's not happening?

"Someone's getting paid for being willing to go to jail for harassing people and picking fights. How much did they get paid for being willing to hold armed checkpoints on behalf of Black Lives Matter on the streets of Portland in 2021, and beating two drivers? Who pays for their training?

"Antifa thugs chased reporter Andy Ngo through the streets of Portland and beat him... again. Why? Holding a summer camp in Portland parks to grow a new generation of mind-numbed bots isn't cheap.

"One of my West Coast, Messed Coast™ readers tasked me with the question: Why are they protecting Antifa?

"There are probably many answers, but the easiest one is that the big-money donors and unions handing out cash to politicians are also funding this unrest. They're of one hive mind. They are ideological twins.

"In Oregon, where a lot of this unrest plays out, the biggest funders of the progressive causes, not necessarily street violence, is government. But as we know, money is fungible.

"This is according to Open Secrets:

  • Oregon Health & Science University: $491,765

  • Portland State University: $343,309

  • State of Oregon: $750,194

  • VoteVets.org: $1,832,500

  • WE Communications: $808,166

  • Nike Inc: $695,141

"The Associate Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute (GAI), Seamus Bruner, has written a book about the billionaires funding all manner of direct action violence on the streets. That means Antifa, BLM, and their fellow violence merchants. He presented his findings to the president and his key cabinet members at Wednesday's Antifa summit.

"In his presentation to the president, Bruner named five funders whose money is used for violence on the streets, whether they know it or not. The information is contained in his book The Controligarchs: Exposing the Billionaire Class, Their Secret Deals, and the Globalist Plot to Dominate Your Life." . . .  More...

Antifa Has Awakened the Sleeping Giant   "It is recorded in our history books that when he looked down at the ship full of smiling, victorious faces… faces of his flyers, just having returned from Pearl Harbor, Japanese fleet Admiral Yamamoto was quiet, pensive, even apprehensive. He later wrote in his private diary,

I fear all I have done is awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.”

"It took the attack on Pearl Harbor to awaken Americans to the threat that the world faced, a bit over 82 years ago. A couple weeks ago, in my daily column, I raised what I considered at the time an unlikely but logical parallel between the 9/11 attacks and Charlie Kirk's death. I may have even used the same Yamamoto passage in that piece. But in researching today's piece over the last few days, and particularly in light of recent Antifa activity, I find the comparison more even more apt than I did then." . . .

. . . "I always liked the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne’s quote, which given the attachment of Antifa to our supposed institutions of "higher leaning" seems very appropriate here:

“I prefer the company of peasants as they have not been educated sufficiently to reason incorrectly.”

"I note that there seems to be an inverse relationship between educational credentials and  what we used to refer to as common sense. Alas, that sense seems lacking in commonality in those places, these days." . . .

JUST IN: Biden Undergoing 5-Week Radiation Treatment for Prostate Cancer

 The Gateway Pundit

"Joe Biden is reportedly undergoing radiation therapy to treat his prostate cancer. Fox reports that the treatment will last five weeks."

"Per NBC News, a spokesperson for Biden said, “As part of a treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment.”
" 'He has already been taking a pill form of hormone medication,” NBC reports.
"As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Biden’s office announced that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which had spread to his bones, in May.
"Many, including medical professionals, questioned how long the former president’s team knew about his condition, given the severity of his initial diagnosis. According to multiple doctors, Biden likely had cancer for years.
"This wouldn’t be the first time they covered up Biden’s health concerns. Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, has been accused by House Oversight Chairman James Comer of engaging in a “conspiracy to cover up President Biden’s cognitive decline” after he refused to testify and pleaded the 5th Amendment at his deposition.
"It is believed that O’Connor likely also knew about Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis long before it was made public.
"Biden was also recently treated with surgery for skin cancer." . . .

15 YEARS LATER? WashPost Editorial Board Says Obamacare ‘Was Never Actually Affordable’

 Joseph Vazquez

That is how the Democrat Party works. Install entitlement, blame Republicans when anyone tries to limit it in any way.

"Hold on to your britches because you’re not going to believe this one. The Washington Post Editorial Board just admitted that the so-called "Affordable Care Act," one the most notorious pieces of Obama-era legislation foisted upon consumers by legislators and the liberal media as the saving grace of American health care, turned out to be an expensive mess.
"The Post tried to play both sides of the fence in the ongoing government shutdown stand off with Republicans and Democrats, the latter of which demanded “Republicans agree to extend the Covid-era insurance subsidies without proposing any way to pay for it.” Then The Post ran one of the biggest plot twists ever to hit American politics in the last 15 years: “The real problem is that the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare] was never actually affordable.”
"Nope, your eyes didn’t deceive you. The architects of former President Barack Obama’s 2010 “signature achievement,” wrote The Post, “assumed that risk pools would be bigger than they turned out to be. As a result, policies cost more than expected.”
"Gee, that’s an awfully different tone than the liberal rag was striking in 2024 when the editorial board celebrated how “Obamacare is working brilliantly — for now.” That’s despite the fact that premiums for individual market plans doubled in costs and “the per enrollee cost of Medicaid expansion is nearly 60 percent greater than what experts projected,” as the Paragon Health." . . .(All emphases in the original).  More...

With A Single Question, Brennan Proves Schumer Has No Interest In Ending Shutdown: All The Questions From Face The Nation

 The Federalist

"Have you tried calling President Trump? He seems to take phone calls directly. . . "So, no. OK."

"Perhaps even Democrat accomplice Margaret Brennan has lost faith in Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., a regular guest on her CBS Sunday show, Face The Nation.

"During a discussion about the government shutdown, Schumer, 74, was going on and on — the way an oldster sometimes does — about how the Republicans are “not serious” about negotiating a solution.

He complained about Trump’s memes, whined that Trump was busy playing golf, and said Speaker Mike Johnson is not serious either. Schumer had a nice little narrative going about those darn Republicans when Brennan hit him with the most beautifully obvious question.

“ 'Have you tried calling President Trump? He seems to take phone calls directly.”

"Schumer stammered just a little, then said Democrats “tried to get Trump to sit down” weeks before the shutdown.

"Brennan tried to stop him there with three words.

“ 'So, no. OK,” Brennan said, but Schumer kept yapping, claiming there was a meeting a while back where Schumer claims Trump “didn’t even know what was happening.”

"In one question Brennan zeroed in on the problem and the solution. Schumer knows how the phone works, and he knows Trump is always ready to talk. If he does not make the call, Schumer remains the grandfather of this shutdown.

"Brennan also asked Schumer about comments Majority Leader Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. made on Fox News, saying there are “there are conversations with Democrats who want to find an offramp here. Is he having conversations with Democrats other than you?”

"Peel away the hemming, hawing, and redirection in Schumer’s answers and the questions reveal the real story — Schumer is losing control of his party." . . .  More...

The Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel War Prize

American Spectator

"María Corina has stood firm, like a stake in the desert, for freedom and against Maduro’s dictatorship."

"The funniest thing about the campaign to give Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize is that, since they didn’t want to give it to him, they ended up awarding it to María Corina Machado — so nobody could complain and everyone would be happy. These are complicated times for the Left. Trump has achieved something incredible in Palestine, dealt a historic blow to the UN, and exposed the entire high-cost, high-failure European social-democratic diplomacy and its monstrous institutions. They are furious because the Left needs things to go wrong. This isn’t a barroom comment — it’s an uncomfortable truth, a historical truth.

"The nature of revolution, the seed of the Left, is destructive, not constructive. The symbol of the Right is a normal family living a normal life and a national flag. The symbol of the Left is a raised fist, a defiant woman showing off a muscle, a hammer, and sickle — almost always bloodied — or an antisemitic banner.

"Conservatives have a positive vision of life. The Left doesn’t have a vision; it has a plan to destroy the conservatives’ way of life. Progressives are usually angry, because living in opposition is frustrating enough… but now that they’re running out of protests to attend, taxes to raise, and immediate reasons to destroy businesses and trash cans, they’re even angrier.

"The driving force of the Left is hatred disguised as love. The driving force of the Right is love, often caricatured as hate. We can debate this for hours and pretend it’s just a normal ideological clash, but we’d be wasting our time if we ignore the fact that there’s no political symmetry between the two sides — and there never has been. For too long, we’ve lived under the white — and dangerous — lie that it does.

"As for the Nobel Peace Prize itself, it’s completely discredited. It’s been awarded to Amnesty International, Rigoberta Menchú, Yasser Arafat (insert your laugh here), the scoundrel Kofi Annan, the sharpest pencil in Jimmy Carter’s pencil case, Al Gore the bear whisperer, and Barack Obama, who got it as soon as he took office because it had been reserved for him from the day he was born, regardless of his actions or words." . . .

AOC's district saw massive shift to Trump during presidential election

NY Post

"We have had an enormous setback in this election because the fascists won a lot of working-class support, which has happened before in history,” she said."

"AOC’s home base is seeing red.

"Far-left Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s constituents swung toward President-elect Trump in Tuesday’s presidential election by one of the largest margins citywide.

"In 2020, 77% of voters in AOC’s congressional district, which covers parts of the Bronx and Queens, cast their ballot for Joe Biden, while Trump snagged just 22%, according to an analysis of voting records by the progressive news outlet Daily Kos, which used the current district lines.

"That yawning, 55-point gap was cut by nearly half this week, with Vice President Harris securing just under 65% of the ballots cast in NY-14 to Trump’s 33%, according to unofficial city voting records and the Daily Kos data.

"The once deep-blue city saw a roughly 15-point swing overall toward Trump from 2020 overall, with Harris raking in roughly 68% of the votes compared to a little more than 30% for the Republican nominee.“Like the rest of the country, New York City saw a big shift rightward on Election Night as voters soundly rejected the Biden-Harris-AOC record of inflation, open borders and radical progressivism,” New York State GOP spokesman David Laska told The Post

"The far-left firebrand’s own outer borough district notably overlaps with Bronx neighborhoods such as Throgs Neck and Schuylerville that elected City Councilwoman Kristy Marmorato, the first Republican to hold public office in the borough in nearly two decades.

“ 'Everyone sees AOC as a darling of the left, and coming from a district that reflects those politics,” said Democratic strategist Jake Dilemani. But the part of the borough she represents is “one of the most conservative parts of the Bronx,” he added.

"Her sprawling district also boasts sizable Latino and Asian populations, two groups that have recently shifted rightward and were crucial to Trump’s triumph, GOP political consultant Ryan Girdusky suggested." . . .

AOC backs Zohran Mamdani for NYC mayor - POLITICO

"Ocasio-Cortez, 35, and Mamdani, 33, share progressive values in addition to the parts of Queens they represent. She also represents parts of the Bronx. He has rallied left-leaning, younger voters with his call for free and fast bus service, a freeze on the rent and a push to tax the wealthy."

. . . "The Trump-hating, James-loving rally also served as the latest chapter in a budding political romance between Mamdani and the attorney general.

The pair have bonded as unsparing critics of Trump and targets of his wrath."

Letitia James now reaps what she had sown — so spare us the faux outrage

Virginia Dem Gov Candidate's Appalling Response on Political Violence Is Now an Ad. It's Brutal.

 Matt Vespa

"We’re not the ones with a political violence problem. Democrats have one, and Spanny’s silence is violence. I was told that was the rule by her people. This reaction is why more leftists will commit violence. They see that they have a political party giving them a rubber stamp on acts of domestic terrorism."

"There’s a reason why Democrats wanted to keep Abigail Spanberger gagged and locked in a basement until the tail end of this election: she’s a total disaster. The Virginia congresswoman, who is running for governor against Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, has been elite at tossing word salads. Her incoherent mess of an answer about men in women’s bathrooms and locker rooms showcases how liberals are gutless in standing up for what’s sane. It’s almost as if there’s an allergy to joining the popular end of public policy issues that are no longer debated: men shouldn’t be in women’s locker rooms. It’s insane that this is even an issue. But on political violence, she’s worse.

"Democratic candidate for attorney general, Jay Jones, is sinking due to recently released texts showing him wishing death upon his GOP colleagues in the state legislature and their families. He even went so far as to hope the children of then-Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert would die of gunshot wounds so he would change his mind on gun control. Spanberger was asked about this during a debate this week, and her answer was atrocious. Leah had the story:  . . .

Abigail Spanberger Was Asked About Men in Women's Bathrooms. Her Answer Was a Trainwreck   "She finally answered a question, and it was a nightmare. We can see why Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger’s people have been trying to keep her away from the media. If this were a dangling of one’s foot into that pool, they’re likely going to whisk her away, because this was a hefty helping of word salad over a simple question: Do you support men in women’s bathrooms? The question was pitched to her by WJLA’s Nick Minock."

I Was Canceled for a Cartoon About Hamas’ Human Shields. I Stand by My Cartoon—and Its Critics

Michael Ramirez Opinion - Newsweek   Nov 15, 2023

The gruesome details and brutal savagery of the October 7 attack launched by Hamas operatives on innocent civilians was shocking to even the most battled-hardened soldiers and war correspondents. Evidence of beheadings, babies shot in their cribs, parents shot in front of their children, entire families massacred, the torture and execution of the elderly, people burned alive, and hundreds of young people gunned down while attending a musical festival for peace, were widely reported and verified by video, audio, and forensic evidence.

"Most people would be horrified. Yet in an interview on Lebanese television, Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad hailed the brutal October 7 attack and pledged to repeat the October 7 attack again and again until Israel is "removed," claiming Hamas "was the victim," therefore "everything they do is justified."

"That interview was the inspiration for a recent cartoon I drew for the Washington Post depicting Gazi Hamad and his human shields." . . .

. . . "Hamas is a terrorist organization that blames Israel for the attack on civilians, but ignores its own complicity in their suffering. It was Hamas that first launched the attack on Israel, continues to use civilian infrastructure as cover, and restricts the evacuation of Gaza civilians from areas which Israel has given advanced warning of strikes.
"Gaza civilians are victims. Hamas is not.
"It's ironic that those who criticize the cartoon for overgeneralizing and stereotyping cannot seem to distinguish between a known terrorist group and Palestinians. And it's a tragedy that their only way of coping with the truth depicted in my cartoon is to erase it from view." . . .  Full article here

‘Worst Possible Poster Child’; Scott Jennings Reminds CNN Panel Letitia James Ran On Targeting Trump

    Daily Caller
Jarrett said James is now facing the same standards she once used against others, arguing that her own conduct left little room for defense.

The Daily Bo Snerdley

"Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett explained Thursday how Democrat Attorney General of New York Letitia James incriminated herself.

"A federal grand jury in Virginia handed down charges against James on Thursday after prosecutors led by Interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan brought the case forward. Appearing on “Hannity,” Jarrett said James effectively trapped herself in her own legal standards. This, after reports indicated she falsely listed her Virginia property as her primary residence to qualify for better mortgage rates while holding office.

“ 'It is not a defense if the charges are justified, as I think they may be. She’ll also claim, of course, ‘Oh, it’s a big misunderstanding, paperwork snafu, somebody else is to blame.’ But under her own stated standard in the Trump case, she declared that is never an excuse. So she’s hoisted on her own petard, as Shakespeare would say in Hamlet,” Jarrett told host Sean Hannity.

Jarrett said that the case against James rests squarely on the paperwork she personally executed.

WATCH:

“It’s a pretty serious case against her, Sean. You cannot claim an occupied residence, get a lower mortgage rate, and then rent it out. You’re cheating the lender by lying, and James actually incriminated herself. Both her mortgage and her insurance documents said she occupied it, but on an IRS records form she admitted it was purely a rental with zero personal occupancy,” Jarrett said. . . .

‘Worst Possible Poster Child’: Scott Jennings Reminds CNN Panel Letitia James Ran On Targeting Trump

“Look, I mean, Letitia James is the absolute worst possible poster child for the argument of selective prosecution. Her entire political career has been on the idea of selectively prosecuting one person, Donald J. Trump,” Jennings said.

GAI’s Seamus Bruner Reveals Left-Wing Funders Such as Roy Singham Behind Antifa Riots

Elizabeth Weibel

"The New York Post reported in June that Singham was set to be called to testify before a congressional committee regarding him funding “radical anti-Israel and Marxist groups” behind the Los Angeles riots."

Neville Roy Singham; MSNBC's Ali Velshi lookalike

"Seamus Bruner, the Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) revealed that left-wing funders such as billionaire Neville Roy Singham were behind left-wing Antifa riots and protests.

"During a roundtable event on Antifa with President Donald Trump, Bruner explained that he, GAI President Peter Schweizer, and their team “followed” a trail of money and “followed it to the top of what” they called the Protest Industrial Complex, or Riot Inc. Bruner explained that the so-called “Riot Inc.” was made up of many different divisions, and that “dozens of radical organizations” have received millions of dollars from Riot Inc.

“ 'We found a network of NGOs, it’s not just the Soros network, the Open Society Network. It’s other funding networks, the Arabella Funding Network, the Tides Funding Network, Neville Roy Singham and his network, foreign cash,” Bruner explained. “And, it’s also big left-wing funders — some of them are not citizens of this country.”

"Bruner continued to note that these left-wing funders were “pouring money into this entire ecosystem.”

"Bruner continued to share “three money facts” about Riot Inc., explaining that there were “many divisions” such as “PR divisions, marketing divisions” and even a “well-funded legal division.”

“ 'Number two, we have identified dozens of radical organizations, not just the decentralized Antifa organizations, but dozens of radical organizations that have received more than one hundred million dollars from the Riot Inc. investors,” Bruner added. “These would be the lawyer groups, these would be the groups that advocate for calling good, honest Americans fascists.” . . .

The expected worldwide mobilization of protests against President Donald Trump this weekend will hardly be a spontaneous eruption. On the contrary, the tumult is a carefully plotted production organized by The Indivisible Project and financed by the progress dark money network managed/advised by Arabella Advisors, which has perfected the mounting of made-to-order protests. Since 2019, the Arabella network has dumped more than $100 million into the coffers of the official “No Kings” protest partners—including the creator of the official protest song book.

This “grassroots” “nationwide days of defiance” targets Trump and his “billionaire allies,” according to organizers. The Arabella network’s biggest benefactors are the left’s own billionaire heroes, including George Soros, Bill Gates, Hansjorg Wyss, Mark Zuckerberg, and Reid Hoffman.

Head of Nobel Peace Prize tries to justify not honoring Trump with award

 NY Post

  1. They can't stand Trump.

  2. They can't deal with the fact that Trump uses business tactics rather than diplomacy. And it works, which hurts their sensibilities.

  3. They aren't interested in actual peace. They prefer activism over meaningful dialogue.

  4. They hate Trump. Did I mention that already?

"Not Nobel enough?

"The head of the Nobel Peace Prize tried to justify not giving the award to President Trump early Friday — subtly suggesting the commander-in-chief was not worthy of the illustrious award despite his historic breakthroughs seeking the end of the Israel-Hamas war.

"Nobel Committee chair Jørgen Watne Frydnes was asked about the clamor to give the prize to Trump, who had said it would be an insult to the US not to award it to him.

"However, the deadline for nominations was Jan. 31 — just days into Trump’s second term in office — meaning all nominations Trump has earned this year for settling conflicts across the world are for the 2026 prize.

"Still, instead of pointing out the timing, Frydnes suggested that a last-minute switch wasn’t made because the US leader doesn’t live up to it.

“ 'In the long history of the Nobel Peace Prize, I think this committee has seen many types of campaign, media attention,” Frydnes said, without naming Trump.

“We receive thousands and thousands of letters every year of people wanting to say what, for them, leads to peace." . . .

The Nobel Peace Prize hits rock bottom  . . . "As for Barack Obama, he was given the Nobel Peace Prize simply for being black, which resulted in hilarity in the United States and elsewhere (the Nobel committee had apparently embraced DEI).

"Regardless, the one amusing result of anyone being awarded the peace prize is the recipient is bestowed with instant sainthood, with individuals sporting silly, simpering smiles suddenly making a pilgrimage to the recipient in order to bask in the sainthood’s aura.

"So, anyway, why was Trump passed over? Simply put, because the pseudo-elites despise him due to the fact that Western European politicians are largely leftists who are engaging in censorship, jailing political prisoners, encouraging illegal immigration of criminals and suppressing their own citizens, and Donald Trump personifies the opposite values, and he is an inspiration to those people trying to throw off the elitists’ yoke.

"It is that simple." . . .

Gazans join Israelis in chanting Trump’s name over cease-fire: ‘Nobel Prize to Trump!’   Were these the Gazans who laughed and cheered as they watched the Hamas Go-Pro videos of the invasion and murders on Oct 7th?

Putin eviscerates Nobel committee for passing over Trump   "Perhaps the self-imagined elites sitting on the Norwegian Nobel Committee have lost the plot when Europe’s most hated man understands peace better than they do: . . ."

Perhaps they didn't like that Trump asked for it. TD

Nobel Peace Prize Winner Maria Corina Machado Dedicates Award To Donald Trump   . . . "A statement from Machado said she dedicates the prize “to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump.”  Trump showed support for Machado in January for “peacefully expressing the voices and the WILL of the Venezuelan people with hundreds of thousands of people demonstrating against the regime.”

Wait till we know Hamas won't renege just to embarrass Trump. Wisely the hostages will come first. And to the Democrats - whom I say would celebrate Trump's failure in this - we must say the best revenge is living well. TD
