Nancy Guthrie case latest update today: 'Lights on' at Tucson home spark fresh questions, but no new suspect named in 84-year-old's disappearance

 The Sunday Guardian

American Thinker

"Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update Today: The Nancy Guthrie case has entered its seventh month with the whereabouts of the missing 84-year-old still unknown, and no publicly identified suspect in the investigation. A new video showing what appeared to be lights inside her Tucson, Arizona, home has nevertheless triggered fresh discussion online.

"The footage was shared by YouTube personality Jonathan Lee Riches, also known as JLR Investigates, who has been independently following the case. Riches claimed he noticed lights inside the property while driving past the home at night.

"However, the footage does not establish who, if anyone, was inside the house, and there has been no indication from authorities that the lights are connected to Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.

"Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update: What The New 'Lights On' Video Shows

"Riches posted footage on September 1 in which lights could be seen at the Tucson property. He questioned who might be inside the home while discussing the apparent activity.

"At the same time, Riches himself raised the possibility that the lights could have been controlled by a timer. That means the video alone cannot confirm that someone was occupying or visiting the property. The development has primarily generated online speculation rather than a confirmed investigative breakthrough.

"Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update Today: Why Annie Guthrie And Tommaso Cioni Are Being Mentioned Online

"Some social-media users speculated that Nancy's daughter Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, could have been at the property.

"That speculation followed reports that Annie and Tommaso had returned to the Tucson area. Nancy's friend Lauren Serpa also appealed to people following the case to respect the family's privacy and allow them to resume their lives. There is, however, no verified evidence that the couple was responsible for the lights seen in the video.

New developments in Nancy Guthrie case: Active investigation offers hope

“I really still feel that there’s going to be a resolution and that [detectives are] going to solve it,” NewsNation journalist Brian Entin told Us Weekly in an article published on Aug. 28. Entin has been covering the Guthrie case from the beginning. “I just know through my sources how many people are working behind the scenes. With other cases that go cold, they might have one detective that looks into it every once in a while, or they say it’s technically still open. With this case, there’s a dedicated task force. There are still FBI agents and detectives whose entire full-time job is just the Nancy Guthrie case every single day, and they all meet together every single day.”

Oscar-nominated female movie director jokes about murder of Bank of America VP who'd just completed maternity leave and likens knifewoman, 49, who stabbed her to Luigi Mangione

"Lexi Alexander, 52, a Palestinian-American filmmaker, shared a cruel meme about the murder of new mom Erin Piacenti, after the vice president was stabbed at-random by a mentally ill woman on Monday. "

  Daily Mail Online

Alexander, best known for her cult classic Green Street Hooligans and Oscar-nominated short film Johnny Flynton, continued to respond to criticism on X with calls to boycott the bank.

"An Oscar-nominated movie director has sparked backlash after celebrating the murder of a young Bank of America executive who was killed in a stabbing spree in Times Square.

"Lexi Alexander, 52, a Palestinian-American filmmaker, shared a cruel meme about the murder of new mom Erin Piacenti, after the vice president was stabbed at-random by a mentally ill woman on Monday.

"Alexander posted an image to social media the next day depicting Batman staring up at a bat signal depicting the face of alleged CEO-killer Luigi Mangione, who has since become a vigilante-style hero to legions of twisted fans.

"The post attracted more than 36,000 likes but sparked a furious response from other social media users, but Alexander doubled down on her ridicule.

"She claimed the backlash was being fueled by a 'Hasbara bot farm' – a reference to Israel's public diplomacy arm – as a result of her calls to boycott Bank of America due to its ties to the nation.

"Alexander then shared news articles criticizing her mockery of Piacenti's death, complaining that it is her first taste of relevancy in some time in her filmmaking career.

"'Can't get this kind of press when I promote a movie, but post a Luigi meme and they're all over you,' she wrote. 'No wonder everybody constantly sounds crazy on here.' " . . . More...

Florida’s Curriculum on Communism — Every State Should Follow Suit

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

"The left has used, and continues to use, “McCarthyism” as a verbal weapon to smear anti-communists as the real threat to American liberty." Francis P. Sempa

Education Dojo

"Florida’s middle and high schools are expanding instruction on communism for students in grades 6 through 12. Last November, Florida’s Board of Education approved new History of Communism standards to be implemented during the 2026-2027 school year.

"In 2024, the Florida legislature passed, and Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law, measures requiring schools to teach about the “evils and dangers of Communism.” DeSantis started this process back in 2021. One goal of the law and new standards is to prepare middle school and high school students to “withstand indoctrination on Communism at colleges and universities.” Every state in the country should follow Florida’s lead, despite those on the left who characterize Florida’s move as a “dangerous recasting of McCarthyism” and designed to teach students “what to think, rather than how to think.” (RELATED: Meet America’s New Un-Americans… the DSA)

"A history professor at UCLA said: “If I were a teacher, I would feel really scared by this” — apparently teachers should be scared to tell the truth about communism. A retired Yeshiva University history professor expressed concern that the curriculum would downplay or ignore “McCarthyism,” which she described as “the longest lasting and most widespread episode of political repression within the United States,” ignoring the extent of communist infiltration of our government and society that even McCarthy underestimated. (RELATED: The Communist Warnings Conservatives Ignored for Years)

"'A history professor at the University of Central Florida claimed that the new standards are a “rewriting” of history. The daughter of blacklisted communist Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo criticized the legislation last year as an effort to downplay the Red Scare of the 1940s and 1950s.

"'These are examples of a phenomenon known as “anti-anti-communism,” which portrays anti-communists as greater threats to liberty than communists. For this group, Joe McCarthy was a greater threat to America than those domestic communists who worked on behalf of Josef Stalin. (RELATED: Communism, McCarthyism, and the New Red Scare) . . .

Enes Kanter Freedom claims he's entering WNBA draft in wake of Sophie Cunningham drama

“If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required,” Freedom said, “then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.”

Freedom was adamant his decision was not meant to disparage marginalized communities or troll opponents of Cunningham, who made waves earlier this month after she stated biological men should not be allowed to compete against biological women in sports.

“I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions,” Freedom said. “I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices. I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone — the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.

“My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles. See you at training camp.” . . .

Lindsay Clancy Democrats

 Ann Coulter

"These self-admiring women, who never tire of telling the world that females are stronger than men, but also have it much harder, could be laughed at, except they now form the base of one of our major political parties. We won’t be able to get rid of them as easily as Lindsay Clancy got rid of her kids."

"I guess the Lindsay Clancy trial has put an end to that whole thing about a woman being president. Clancy has become a feminist hero for slaughtering her three children, whose names, in case anyone cares, were Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.

"For that brave response to “postpartum depression,” she’s attracted hundreds of female admirers, who stand petulantly outside the courthouse in pink T-shirts, demanding her acquittal.

"When Muslims pull this crap, blaming their gang rapes on the trauma of being asylum seekers, we’re not as understanding. But when women claim mental anguish from giving birth, we’re supposed to treat it as if it’s a disease as real as cancer and blame the doctors for not dispensing a magic pill to cure the batty lady.

"Whether Lindsay has postpartum psychosis, is bipolar or a witch, to quote another witch, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” She still twisted an exercise band around the neck of her 3-year-old, his little legs kicking, then strangled her 5-year-old daughter until she went limp, before proceeding to garrote her 8-month-old baby.

"A woman’s work is never done!

"The pink ladies seem to think that if enough of them say, That could have been me, everyone will shout in unison, LET THAT POOR WOMAN GO! as opposed to, No. Woman. President. Ever. Thus, the organizer of the pink ladies, Renee Kimball, said of Clancy, “Any one of us could be sitting in her chair.” Okay, fine. But then none of you should ever be sitting in a chair at the Resolute Desk." . . .More...

Clancy's Lawyer Shows Massive Pile Of Fan Mail For The Child Killer

"Do they not realize that this woman admitted to strangling her three children to death in the most brutal way possible? She did not just kill them; she tortured them and made their last moments of life the most horrifying thing imaginable. Worst of all, it was all committed by the one they trusted the most on this Earth."

"What if [the] lady who wanted the kid divided was the real mother but had post partum depression ??

Rogan absolutely tore into the mental patients coming out in droves to support Lindsay.

“'This lady killed her kids, and everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God, she needed help,'" he said. "Imagine if a single father killed his kids. Do you think there’d be any dads out there? ‘We get it. We understand. I also get sad!’” . . .

Powerful: Gloria Steinem Refuses To Allow Satan To Hold Door To Hell Open For Her

Do you know parody when you see it, or do we have to label it such?

Babylon Bee

"HELL — Feminist icon Gloria Steinem refused to allow Satan to hold the door open for her on the way into hell, in what many are calling her final act against the Patriarchy.

"No way," Steinem said as the Devil attempted to hold the door open for her. "I don't do that. I don't submit to your male chauvinism. I won't give you that power over me. Now step aside."

Satan told friends he was a little taken aback by Steinem's behavior.

"I typically hold the door for all our new female residents," he said. "It's just the way I am. It's the way I was raised. I don't know why she took offense. I didn't mean anything by it."

"Steinem was later seen chastising the Prince of Darkness for his perceived sexism and told him that she's a "powerful, independent woman who's perfectly capable of opening the door" for herself.

"'Get out of my way, pig," she said. "Don't you try to pull that old-fashioned garbage with me. I'm talking… are you listening?"

"At publishing time, Steinem had been seen trying to reprimand male residents of Hell for their attempts to show her around the place."

. . . "Between Dolly and Gloria, I do have my personal favorite. I really want to say that it’s Dolly. I suspect that she shares my conservative leanings; I like women who are not vertically taller than I am; she was famously generous; and it’s good that she will allllllllwaaays love me since I’m not always very lovable.

"But, no, my favorite is Gloria. I know, we will argue politics a lot. She’s threateningly tall at 5’9” in case I were the type of man who feels threatened by that. She said she had an abortion. She helped women for a while but her dogmatism ultimately hurt them. Her hair was always parted down the middle, which was okay for a 34-year-old looker but a little stale for a 90-year-old.

"But she had a certain moxie that said, “I live by my own rules, not yours. No gimmicks, no artifice.”. . .

What has become of our judiciary, of our entire system of justice?

Patricia McCarthy

The George Soroses and the Neville Roy Singhams are determined to destroy the U.S. by any means necessary and they have the means necessary.

"No one paying attention today is unaware that the once heralded system of American justice has become a joke.

"It is no longer about justice at all but only about ideology, about politics, about preserving any and every leftist dream scheme for getting and keeping power.

"For those of us who tuned in to the courtroom scene in Utah on Wednesday to see Tyler Robinson’s lawyer claim that Charlie Kirk deserved to be killed, it was just another nail in the coffin of that once-thought-to-be-great system of justice.

"Why on earth did Judge Tony F. Graf, who has bent over backwards to be fair, let Robinson’s defense attorney, Richard Novak, continue his outrageous and totally false diatribe that overtly suggested that Robinson had good reason to assassinate Charlie Kirk?  Even given today’s lack of faith and trust in our judiciary, this was shockingly illicit.  It is doubtful that any film or television legal thriller would not have nixed such a blatantly illegal tactic.

"The judge in the Lindsay Clancy trial disallowed any reference to the defendant’s religion and chastised the prosecutor for even suggesting it was relevant to the matter at hand even though it actually, sort of is.

"But Judge Graf in the Tyler Robinson hearing allowed Robinson’s lawyer to disingenuously malign Charlie Kirk for what seemed an eternity of lies.

"Charlie Kirk never spoke “hatefully” about anyone or any group.  He offered conversation, he was never rude or condescending.  He simply valued and promoted traditional values and shared his faith In God.  Defense attorney Novak was totally out of line and Judge Graf should have stopped his vicious tirade meant to excuse what his client did.  He murdered a man in cold blood, risked harming countless others, and bragged about what he had done to his furry pal with whom he had a romantic relationship.  The evidence that proves his guilt is overwhelming.  Novak leapt into the gutter at the end of this prolonged “preliminary hearing” and humiliated himself as did Judge Graf for letting him vent so egregiously." . . .

Donald “Jed Clampett” Trump

"The world runs on oil. The USA is getting back to controlling the world’s oil"

Don Surber

“Torn between strategic gain and economic risk, Beijing bets on how far it can back Tehran without fully provoking Washington.”

"Red China is hurting for certain. The world’s largest oil importer lost oil from Iran and Venezuela, which supplied 15% of the oil it bought last year.
"Under Trump, the USA is a net exporter of oil. That should be the case for decades to come because thanks to President Trump and Chief Warrant Officer Five Eric A. Slover, America now controls 65 billion barrels of oil in Venezuela. Slover is the helicopter pilot who took a licking of bullets but kept on ticking as the military extracted Maduro on January 3, earning a Medal of Honor.
"Trump wisely kept Maduro’s veep—Delcy Rodriguez—as interim president because she was more malleable than a popular president would be. He got her to sign over control of 65 barrels of oil in the ground—more than doubling oil reserves controlled by the USA (we have 46 billion barrels in the USA.)
"This is bad news for Red China, which always delights me. The commies imported 11.6 million barrels per day in 2025. That was 70% of the oil the Chinese used.
"This year, its imports have fallen by 11%—down to 7.1 million bpd in June. It rebounded slightly in July and with the re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz, it should rise as Saudi and Iraq will be able to deliver almost 3 million bpd (combined) again.
"Iran won’t. It was delivering 1.4 million bpd. Nada now. Between Iran and Venezuela, Trump now controls 15% of the oil Red China imported last year.
"Chairman Xi may own American colleges, American media and the Uniparty in DC, but Trump controls the oil." . . .
. . . "The short answer is not very far because Trump knows the value of what he holds. Oil for rare earth elements would be a nice deal if you could trust Red China. So it is not going to happen. Trump also controls the currency." . . .More.

Another Long Twilight Struggle | The American Spectator
"The French writer Charles Baudelaire once noted that “The Devil’s cleverest wile is to make men believe that he does not exist.” Beginning in the 1980s and continuing to the present, the CCP’s “cleverest wile” was and is to make Americans believe that the leaders of the CCP are no longer communists."

. . . "That doesn’t mean that this geopolitical rivalry will end in war. Chinese strategic thought reaches back to Sun Tzu, who in the fifth century B.C. counseled: “To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.” The United States, meanwhile, won the first long twilight struggle against the Soviet Union by combining George Kennan’s preferred “patient, firm and vigilant” containment with the political, economic, and subversive warfare of the Reagan administration." . . .

Megyn Kelly Told Michelle Obama to Get a Divorce After She Laughed at Barack for Crying

 Renewed Right

"She built a post-White House brand entirely on the image of a woman who gave everything to her family. And now, episode by episode on her own podcast, she's dismantling every piece of it – the marriage she resented, the motherhood she endured, the White House years she didn't enjoy, the husband she mocked into a microphone while his Secret Service detail asked if he was okay."

Dianny's Ten Most Tiresome People of 2025

"Michelle Obama spent years telling America she sacrificed everything for her family.
""Now she's on her podcast laughing at her husband for crying when his daughter left for college.
""Megyn Kelly watched the clip – and told Barack Obama to find someone who actually loves him.
"The Moment That Set Megyn Off
""It started with an October 2025 episode of Michelle's IMO podcast, where she walked listeners through dropping Malia off at college.
"She described giving Barack a simple Ikea lamp to assemble – something with nothing to put together – just to keep him occupied.
""Then came the motorcade ride back to Air Force One.
""Michelle heard something and turned to look.
""Barack was trying to hold back tears." . . .

Number Six on Dianny's Ten Most Tiresome People of 2025

. . . "If Hunter Biden’s endless complaints are annoying, Michelle’s are unfathomable. Never in the history of the universe has there been such a wealthy, pampered, overindulged crybaby as Michelle Obama. For more than fifteen years, Americans have had to listen to this privileged, molly-coddled shrew bang on about her miserable, no-good, very bad life. And every few years, a publishing company hands her millions to write yet another memoir about how she has overcome so much hardship and what a big old victim she is. We’ll never be rid of her."

A warning and referendum on the future of America

"How Michigan goes, so will go the country."  "How do we convince Republicans to get out and vote?"

Susan Quinn

"When we study these two candidates, at a time when polarization and anger are dominating the political landscape, we can ask the following questions, regardless of what party we support: Which candidate has had to apologize for or “correct” his public comments? *Which candidate is more likely to help bring stability to the country? *How do we convince Republicans to get out and vote?"

. . . "The largest source of controversy is the Democrat nominee, Abdul El-Sayed, who insists he isn’t a Democratic Socialist, in spite of his headlining six DSA events. But he wears all the trappings of the DSA:That El-Sayed hates the state of Israel is not open for debate. He does. He also routinely attacks Americans who support the state of Israel by repeatedly attacking the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which is primarily, though not exclusively, made up of American Jews. El-Sayed, himself a Muslim, will probably energize the estimated quarter of a million Muslims in the Wolverine State as well as the Jewish population of approximately 120,000 people (about 1.2% of Michigan’s population). Most Jews and many non-Jews believe that El-Sayed is simply antisemitic, and certainly the most extreme mainstream party candidate to ever run for, much less serve in, the United States Senate." . . .  More.

Democratic Socialism: A Limited Appeal to Voters

"The democratic socialist approach relies on one central idea: tearing down all the nation’s existing institutions and replacing them with a system that eliminates inequality by redistributing wealth and status."

S.T. Karnick

"That is how leftist politicians thrive even though their proposed solutions make things much worse. The greater the decline in economic and social conditions, the more blame and hatred they can heap on the out groups."

"The defeat of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member Francesca Hong in Wisconsin’s Democratic primary arrives as good news for the vast majority of Americans who are not among the DSA’s 120,000 members.

"'It was, however, a very close race. Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who was endorsed by Gov. Tony Evers (a fellow Democrat), received 39.8 percent of the vote, to Hong’s 39.3 percent.

"Hong was a weak candidate and a poor standard-bearer for the DSA agenda, possessing none of the charisma and political talent of DSA superstar New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Hong’s charisma shortage limited her appeal to voters and led to the refusal of prominent DSA favorites Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to endorse her. The missing endorsements were probably dispositive in such a close race.

"I think Hong’s failure to get past the post in the Democrat primary illustrates a greater problem for the collectivist “democratic socialist” movement.

"The democratic socialist approach relies on one central idea: tearing down all the nation’s existing institutions and replacing them with a system that eliminates inequality by redistributing wealth and status to those who have allegedly been unfairly denied these things." . . . More.

Evidence doesn’t point to a genocide in Gaza — despite all of the rage

David Harsanyi

The survival rate of Jews under Nazi control in Europe was roughly 30% — and only because Nazis did not have time to finish the job. The survival rate for Arab civilians during the Gaza war was somewhere around 99%.

"In May 2025, Tom Fletcher, the United Nations under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs, went on BBC Radio and told the audience that 14,000 babies in Gaza were going to die “in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them.”

"Two days. Fourteen thousand babies.

"According to UNICEF, there are around 20,000 babies in the entirety of Gaza. Which means 70% of all infants were in danger of dying in mere hours. An “utterly chilling” figure, Fletcher stressed.

"The New York Times, along with numerous other establishment media outlets, relayed Fletcher’s allegation to its credulous audience without any skepticism. The usual experts were summoned to discuss this unfolding famine on cable news. And the antisemites across social media amplified the claim.

"No matter how far-fetched a story is about Israel, including preposterous evidence-free accusations that it trains dogs to rape Palestinians, papers such as The New York Times will spread it to feed the perception that the Jewish state operates as a genocidal entity.

"And no matter how often the claims are debunked, they keep at it." . . . More.
