"Having to prove one’s identity to vote is something that has always had majority approval among Americans.  Democrats, however and not that many months ago, contended that it was “racist” to expect “black and brown” people to get a voter i.d.  It’s too hard, it’s unattainable (even when free), and they simply can’t manage it at all.

"This tune changed recently, however, with top Democrats and even the “real governor” of Georgia not only saying voter i.d. is fine, good even, but that they had never been against it in the first place.  A demonstrable lie.

"The most common analysis suggested that it was poll-based.  And while I do agree that the polls suggested this was a losing issue for Democrats, it always has been.  They just didn’t care.

"So what changed their tune?  Vaccine passports is my guess.  They can’t claim that “black and brown” voting blocs (how insulting and disgusting is that dehumanizing leftist construction?!) cannot manage a voter i.d. while simultaneously claiming these exact same people can somehow manage to figure out not only how and where to get vaccinated but how to obtain their vaccine passport.

"So suddenly, not only is voter i.d. a good idea, great even, but it was actually the Democrats’ idea in the first place!  They never said otherwise!  Really.

Embarrassing, completely out of touch, disingenuous, and condescending . . . . If memory serves, this is exactly why Democrat primary voters rejected her so totally in 2019-20 that she didn’t even stick around for the first Democrat primary vote.

Hi, I live on top of a mountain on the WV/VA border and I can photocopy my ID. I mean I do it while moonshining White Lightning while dueling banjos play in the background but I can still do it.

It’s true. I just moved from a rural town and the only photocopier we had was an old Amish man named Malaki who would produce a sketch on parchment paper in exchange for three bushels of hay and two ears of corn.

Their argument that black people are incapable of getting I.D. is essentially racist. More important, from their point of view, the voters are squarely are not in their tree. Voter I.D. is a common-sense measure practiced in all civilized countries and voter polls support it. They still want to win in 2022, so they've moved away from that stance like a bad smell from a backed-up sewer.". . .

But there's one indisputable fact that's as certain as the sun rising in the morning and politicians spending more money: Progressives are almost always guilty of doing exactly what they accuse their opponents of doing.

That may come as a surprise to the likes of Barry and Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, LeBron James, Don Lemon, et al., all of whom are fabulously wealthy and idolized by millions of people from all races.  But since all of them are "woke," you won't hear even a whisper of dissent directed at Rep. Bush.  In fact, they're likely to agree with her.  Then they'll make lucrative donations to Black Lives Matter, allowing the founder to purchase a few more luxury homes.  Not bad for a Marxist who lives in a slave state.
