Challenges to a McCarthy Speakership Are Mounting

 Katie Pavlich

"As Americans continue to wait for full election results and whether Republicans actually take a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, challenges to Leader Kevin McCarthy are mounting after a red wave failed to show up Tuesday night.". . .

. . ."Republicans and conservatives aren't holding back after a failure to secure the House with any kind of significant margin. ". . .

‘The Obama Coalition is Gone’: Obama Campaign Manager [and MSNBC's joyless Joy Reid] Laments Republican Romp in Florida

Mediaite  "Obama 2012 campaign manager David Plouffe delivered a dark analysis for the Democrats in response to the GOP winning in Florida on Tuesday night: “The Obama coalition" is gone.”

"Incumbent Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) won over former Gov. and Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) and incumbent Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) won over Rep. Val Demings (D-FL).

"Here’s how the exchange on MSNBC went down between anchor Alex Wagner, former Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) and Plouffe:

. . .PLOUFFE: Well in Florida it’s catastrophic so obviously we saw great erosion in ’20 in the presidential race. And let’s remember Barack Obama won in 2012, basically tied the Cuban vote, got over 77 percent of the Hispanic votes. The Obama coalition in Florida is gone. We got to rebuild it now. . ..
Tony Branco

"Wait, that’s not what I meant. Why does Joy Reid still have an on-air job? She’s almost as much of a gaffe machine as President Joe Biden. (“Almost” is a key word in that sentence.)
"She put that on display once again Tuesday night as she mourned the victories of Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio, both of whom easily won re-election last night.". . .
She would fit in on "The View".

We like Mr. Jones today

 Silvio Canto, Jr.   "His Dallas Cowboys have not won the Super Bowl since 1996 or the first Clinton term.

"So it's been too long for Cowboys fans yearning for another big game in February.  Nevertheless, Mr. Jones scored a few political TD's by putting his money in the right place.

"This is from CHRON:

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently made a sizable donation to the reelection campaign of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, according to a Bloomberg report published Tuesday.

Jones was one of three prominent business executives that donated $500,000 to Abbott in the final pre-election fundraising window, which runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 29, writes Bloomberg's Shelly Hagan. The two other executives named in Hagan's report are Ken Fisher of independent money management firm Fisher Investments and Midland Energy founder Syed Javaid Anwar. Citing public political contribution data dating back to 2000, Hagan reports that Jones' donation to the Texas governor marks the billionaire's largest donation to a state-level candidate in at least 22 years. Why a Red Ripple Instead of A Red Wave?

 Don Purdum

Despite one of the worst presidential performances in the modern era and a crippling approval rating, President Joe Biden may have gotten away with his toxic behavior and policies. It appears that things went about as well as they could for the ailing commander-in-chief.

. . ."Despite a massive and decisive win in Florida, other parts of the country didn’t fare nearly so well. In Pennsylvania, gubernatorial Republican candidate Doug Mastriano committed too many fatal blows to overcome Democratic candidate Josh Shapiro. "Mastriano refused to talk to the media and, with little money in the coffers, couldn’t combat the brutal attack ads from Shapiro. Republican groups wrote Mastriano off early in the campaign over his views on the 2020 presidential election. Ultimately, it was an easy race for the Democrat.

"Far-left Senatorial candidate John Fetterman (D-PA) defeated Dr. Oz (R-PA). Still, should it have been surprising as polls showed Oz had an uphill climb in the Keystone State?

Blake Masters is struggling to catch incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) in Arizona. Georgia is becoming another nightmare with a likely runoff between Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Hershel Walker (R-GA).

"While the GOP will pick up the House, the Senate may remain in Democratic hands. That would mean the House could legislatively block Biden’s radical agenda. Yet, if the Democrats hold the Senate, the president will still get all of his radical appointees as well as picks for left-wing judges through the upper chamber.". . .

. . ."While Republicans still support Trump by large margins, the rest of the country isn’t so sure. Many Americans have rejected the former president’s endorsed candidates in enough numbers in critical battleground states that they blunted the red wave. It also appears that abortion played a more prominent role than polls showed in the campaign’s final month.

"In the coming days, we’ll learn how large or small the Republican-led House will be and if the GOP will flip the Senate.". . .

"So, what went wrong?". . .

Too Rotten for the Nation’s Good -

On the subject of John Fetterman, the woke media outdid itself and will now pay the price.

"There are few places where today’s cultural rot is more gangrenous than in legacy journalism. This has been such a problem for such a long time it hardly seems worthwhile drawing attention to it. Imagining that half the country doesn’t care and the other half has given up, it is easy to slip into despair about it and just accept it.". . .

. . ."So when NBC News’ Dasha Burns reported on Fetterman’s cognitive impairment as if it was a legitimate interest, she was given the woke takedown that has become all too familiar.

"As Woodhouse writes:

On Twitter, blue-check journalists jumped in to defend Fetterman and throw shade at Burns. Soon, Burns’ tweets were inundated by thousands of haters calling her “disgraceful,” “trash,” and, again and again, “ableist.” The Associated Press published a syndicated story amplifying the criticism and suggesting that Burns’ remarks had given ammunition to the Republicans. The New York Times published an op-ed deploring her remarks. Savannah Guthrie confronted Burns about it on air. On The View, Sunny Hostin implied Burns had acted unethically. BuzzFeed published an article essentially accusing Burns of putting disabled people at risk of violence. Recaps of the criticisms surrounding Burns’ interview appeared in The Washington PostLA Times and other publications where they served to legitimate the idea of a controversy that the media itself had created.

"The Woke Mobs have proved themselves able to get the objects of their wrath to make public penance or to making the unrepentant into pariahs. They have the burning religious fervor of those who have found True Faith, but a faith cleansed of tolerance, forgiveness, and human decency. Only those caught in its vortex fail to see it belongs to the same species as the modern True Faiths of the great totalitarian monstrosities of the 20th century and their wanna-be successors.". . .

BUSTED! Duplicitious Dems Admit Their Hidden Agenda Doesn’t Match Their Talking Points

 The Lid

"The camera was rolling when one senator’s wife admitted the Biden Admin’s inflation bill was a con to hide the REAL Democrat agenda of climate and health.

"The party that screamed ‘threat to democracy’ daily has forgotten one key detail. The entire process of a representative government — a Republic — requires one crucial ingredient: an informed public.

"This was the whole point of a free press. It’s why a corrupt and partisan press poses an ACTUAL threat to the democratic process in a functioning Constitutional Republic.

"Suppose the Press — the public counts on exposing political lies, malfeasance, corruption, or even simple mistakes — is in league with the politicians. In that case, cynical politicians intent on manipulating the public can be lied to.

"That’s why videos like this one aren’t just damaging to elected Democrats; they are damaging to the Press, who are supposed to hold their feet to the fire.

"The wife of one Colorado Democrat Senator said the quiet part out loud in a video that is sure to be embarrassing to the Democrat party and (hopefully) a wake-up call to their base.".

Warnock’s Church Airs Sermon Calling Evangelical Christianity the ‘Ideological Basis’ of White Supremacy

 Alana Goodman

"The Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Warnock serves as senior pastor, hosted a "Super Voter Saturday" panel discussion last weekend and aired a pre-taped 2020 sermon by Rev. Billy Honor. The event took place just a few days before voters will head to the polls in Georgia, which has one of the largest evangelical Christian populations in the United States.

" 'There is nothing about evangelical white Christianity that would make you think it values black lives," said Honor in the sermon. "The fact is that this is a tradition that devalues black bodies, so much so that the devaluing of black bodies is about as American as apple pie."

"While Warnock did not speak at the event, his name was at the top of a welcome message to attendees that played at the beginning of the program. The sermon could reignite concerns about Warnock’s own controversial statements and promotion of extremist rhetoric, including a sermon in which he said Americans need to repent for their "whiteness" and his defense of anti-Semitic pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

"Honor added that "evangelical Christianity" was the "ideological basis for the enslavement of Africans, the expansion of white supremacy, the resistance to reconstruction, the acceptance of racial segregation laws, and the recent dismissal of the Black Lives Matter movement to end murders of black bodies by police."

"Warnock’s opponent, Republican Herschel Walker, said the sermon promoted "division and hate" and slammed Warnock for hosting it at his church.". . .  MSNBC will support him fully

Warnock the landlord  "A maintenance man charged with brutally murdering a tenant. A sex offender who slept in the hallways. A dead body left in an apartment for days, found covered in flies.". . .

Affiliates should dump Kimmel (TD's former favorite show)

Given how tethered Disney is to the Democrat Party, it is more likely Disney encouraged him to spew partisan propaganda rather than tell jokes.

 Don Surber  "I don't care what Jimmy Kimmel says on TV. My television set comes with two things: a channel changer and an off switch. I support his right to parrot the Democrat Party line instead of telling jokes. Disney can run whatever show it wants on its ABC network.

"The only thing I care about is his cavalier attitude toward local TV. In a three-way race for late-night ratings, he finishes fourth.

"Don't just take my word for it.

"Forbes reported on October 27, "With 2.494 million total viewers and 396,000 viewers in the key demographic group of adults 25-54, Gutfeld! beat not just everything else on cable, but the high-profile broadcast networks’ late night shows as well. CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was a close second with 2.1 million viewers and 375,000 viewers in the key demo, followed by NBC’s The Tonight Show (1.289 million viewers and 318,000 in the demo), and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (1.285 million total viewers and 287,000 viewers in the key demo)."

"When some guy on cable doubles your audience, you should be ashamed. Gutfield does not have 240 stations carrying his show. He is on Fox News. And by the way, his is far from the most watched show on that channel.

"Instead of being ashamed, Kimmel brags about his show tanking.

" 'The LA Times reported on an interview he gave.

"The paper said, "Kimmel said that he 'lost half of my fan [base], maybe more than that,' due to his coverage of Trump and recalled that he was 'the most popular talk show host' among Republican viewers before the former Apprentice star took office. He said he knew where ABC’s concerns were coming from, but he stood his ground."

"Kimmel said he said, "Listen, if that’s what you want to do, I understand and I don’t begrudge you for it, but I’m not going to do that. So, you know, if you want somebody else to host the show, then that’s fine. That’s OK with me. I’m just not going to do it like that.' ". . .

Pope Francis Praises Abortion Activist He Named to Pro-Life Panel, She Gives it “More Humanity”

 LifeNews

Pope Francis repeatedly has condemned the killing of unborn babies in abortions, likening it to hiring a “hitman” to kill a child. However, his actions continue to raise questions.

"During a conversation with reporters about the importance of women and women’s rights, Pope Francis praised an abortion activist he recently named to a pro-life panel.

"Pope Francis appointed an abortion supporter to the Pontifical Academy for Life recently, saying “debate and dialogue … between people of different backgrounds” is important.The Vatican said church authorities reviewed the background of Mariana Mazzucato, a University College London economist who has advocated for abortion repeatedly on Twitter, and found “no problems.”

"Pope Francis has not explained why dialog can’t occur without giving someone who violates the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church such an important platform.

"Instead, in a new interview, he praised Mazzucato, saying she gives the pro-life panel “more humanity” despite support killing babies.". . .

Follow the pols, not the polls

 Don Surber  "Democrats are a broken party.

"In April, I looked 7 months into the future and saw Republicans gaining 36 seats in the House, which would give them their greatest majority in 94 years. I figured they would hold all their Senate seats and flip Arizona and Georgia.

"But seasons change and new issues arise. Democrats thought the reversal of Roe v. Wade and passage of the Green New Deal (cynically labeled the Inflation Reduction Act) would save them. They chatted among themselves and convinced one another that Biden would defy gravity and gain seats and keep both the House and the Senate.

"Even now, Nate Silver includes in his forecast a scenario where Democrats add 9 House seats and 5 Senate seats.". . .

"The only thing that's changed is Democrats dug in on abortion and climate change while the public worried about inflation and crime with immigration hanging over them like a black cloud over all of it.

"I am tempted to make that prediction 100 seats in the House and 10 in the Senate.

"Realistically, the ceiling on Republican gains is about half that (48 House seats and 6 in the Senate). But then again, two weeks ago Kathy Hochul looked like a lock for to remain governor of New York.

"Philip Marey of Rabobank's market research department predicts Republicans will gain 75 House seats and 11 Senate seats giving it majorities of 288-147 and 61-39.

"I ain't arguing against that because Democrats imploded by acting like overlords instead of public servants.". . .

Crooked Election Denier Hillary Lashes Out At Americans Who Don’t ‘Understand’ Election (Video)

EXCLUSIVE: 'Joe was centered on the returns in the family coffers.' Whistleblower . . . the president talking like he was chairman of the board

UK Daily Mail   Joe Biden was involved in his son Hunter's foreign business deals while he was Vice President, a new whistleblower with direct knowledge claims.

The whistleblower has identified themselves to Senate investigators but asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

The informant says they were party to a 2012 conference call involving then-VP Joe, Hunter, 52, his business partner Jeff Cooper, 53, late Senate majority leader Harry Reid and his son Key Reid, 48, who was also in business with Hunter.

The Spring 2012 call was about Hunter, Key and Jeff's new venture into online gambling in Latin America, the whistleblower said, adding that Joe was active on the call discussing details of the business, and appeared to be involved as a 'silent partner'.

'He wasn't passive, he was talking about it. If I had to describe him, he was like a member of the Board of Directors,' the source said.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Cooper denied ever having a call about any of his companies with the president or late senator saying it was a 'complete fabrication'.

When you consider what the Dems are offering…

If you don’t vote today and we lose America to the extremists on the left, you will share responsibility for the greatest loss the world has experienced since the fall of man.  Today is Election Day.  For all that is good, for all that you love, for all that matters, Vote!

American Thinker   "The campaigning is done, something for which we can all be very grateful.  After tomorrow most of us will be able to watch television without the constant annoyance of political ads.  The election posters and billboards will soon no longer be an eyesore across our land.  But now comes the vitally important part, the time to vote, the time to take back America from the Democrats and elitists who:

  • Cannot accept the concept of life in the womb;
  • For the first time in the history of our world cannot tell a man from a woman or a boy from a girl;
  • Are encouraging children to be whatever gender they choose through the use of chemicals and surgical mutilation;
  • Won’t protect our borders from massive illegal invasion and the flood of fentanyl that is killing Americans by the thousands;
  • Think that it is constitutional to force Americans to participate in medical experimentation in response to a man-made virus that as it turned out may not be nearly as deadly (when physicians are allowed to practice medicine)as the vaccinations they have forced on the world;
  • Are destroying the economy of western nations through a fraudulent climate crisis and the destruction of the fossil fuel industry;
  • Are destroying what has made America and western civilization strong and successful, the principles that are imbedded in our Judeo-Christian roots;
  • Threaten to turn our civilized world back into some semblance of the dark ages except with nuclear weapons. ". . .
