Kamala gets up for the Debate

Margolis & Cox

Kamala Harris finally uploads a policy page to her website 50 days after Biden dropped out of the race: Here's what it says...   . . . "The website showcases Harris' support for the bipartisan border deal and slams Trump, similar to what the vice president has done on the campaign trail. It claims she and Biden took action after the deal was killed, but it does not address her work to address the root causes of migration as vice president.

"Harris has vowed to bring back the bipartisan deal as president and sign it. Her website also claims the vice president knows the immigration system is 'broken' and calls for comprehensive reforms including security and an 'earned pathway to citizenship.' "

Kamala’s policy page is generic mush with some leftism thrown in - Andrea Widburg   "Almost a month into her candidacy, Kamala’s website finally has a policy page. Let’s dive into the specifics—and as to each specific, be sure to ask yourself this question: “For those things Kamala promises as new initiatives, if these are such good ideas, why hasn’t the current administration already done them?' ” . . .

It's Tuesday and It's All on the Line: How Trump 'Can Win the Debate and the Election in Two Minutes' – RedState

. . ."Republican strategist Karl Rove believes Trump has the more difficult task because he’s the one running on substantive issues — as opposed to Harris’ vacuous “joy”-filled campaign. Which, again, is why the former president must stay on point. Can he do it? We will soon find out." . . .

The Cheney Attacks on Trump Will Backfire -

 The American Spectator

Which goes to the heart of the GOP Establishment’s contempt for Trump. The former president — a self-made billionaire — has turned his back on the elite social class self-regard that Establishment Republicans have for themselves. Whether it was Reagan back then or Trump today, GOP Establishment elites cannot stand conservative Outsiders who have turned their backs on Establishment social elitism.

Broc Smith

  "Clueless.

And decidedly anti-conservative.

Yet again, the dinosaurs of the Republican Establishment are targeting an Outsider. The attack, as always, is backfiring big time.

This time around, it is the decidedly anti-conservative, anti-constitutional Cheneys — dad and ex-Vice President Dick Cheney. And his daughter, the defeated-by-her-GOP-constituents former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney.

Dick Cheney showcases his now decidedly anti-conservative beliefs by openly endorsing the Democrats’ decidedly socialist–Marxist Vice President Kamala Harris. Daughter Liz has done the same. Principle? What’s that?

Make no mistake, the Cheney assault on Trump is merely the current version of the GOP Establishment assault on Outsiders — decided conservatives — who refuse to play the Establishment’s corrupt game.

Take a spin in the time capsule and go back to what GOP Establishment figures of the day said when their target was a conservative Outsider named Ronald Reagan. A sample of it is mentioned here but is worth recalling in view of the Cheney attacks on Trump. As noted at the time:

  • Republican Vice President Nelson Rockefeller dismissed Reagan as “a minority of a minority” who “has been taking some extreme positions.”
  • New York’s Republican Sen. Jacob Javits said Reagan’s positions were “so extreme that they would alter our country’s very economic and social structure and our place in the world to such a degree as to make our country’s place at home and abroad, as we know it, a thing of the past.”
  •  Illinois Republican Sen. Charles Percy said Reagan’s candidacy was “foolhardy” and would lead to a “crushing defeat” for the Republican Party. “It could signal the beginning of the end of our party as an effective force in American political life,” he said.
  •  Former Republican President Gerald Ford said: “I hear more and more often that we don’t want, can’t afford to have a replay of 1964.” He argued that, if the Republican Party nominated Ronald Reagan, “it would be an impossible situation” because Reagan “is perceived as a most conservative Republican. A very conservative Republican can’t win in a national election.” When he was asked if that meant he thought Reagan couldn’t win, Ford replied to the New York Times: “That’s right.” The Times story went on to observe that Ford thought “Mr. Reagan would be a sure-loser in November” and that Reagan held “extreme and too-simple views.”

. . ."In a matter of weeks, the American people will have the opportunity to render their own verdict on the Cheneys’ support of Kamala Harris, the socialist–Marxist nominee of the Democrats.

"Stay tuned.

"But whatever else, it is crystal clear that the Cheney’s have now left their conservatism behind and have no intention of returning. And it will backfire." . . .

Anybody home at the White House?

Monica Showalter - American Thinker  "Anybody seen Joe Biden lately?

"He's not on vacation today, which is unusual, having spent 40% of his entire presidency plopped out on a lawnchair on a Delaware beach.

"Conservative Daily News describes his busy scheduled for this day this way:

President Joe Biden will get start his day at crack of noon by arriving at work and then he will deliver a speech.

President Joe Biden’s Itinerary for 9/9/24

ALL TIMES EDT

  • 11:35 AM Depart Wilmington, Delaware en route to the White House
  • 12:45 PM Arrive at the White House
  • 1:15 PM Receive daily briefing
  • 5:00 PM Deliver remarks to mark Disability Pride Month [Live Stream]

"Oh, and there was a briefing today added at 1:30 p.m.

"The Quiet-Quitter's schedule a couple weeks ago looked like this:

. . . Biden's schedule is absolutely blank. Meanwhile, Emily Goodin reports Biden was "visibly shaking" as he exited AF1 in CA on Tuesday morning, and needed a boost from Secret Service agents just to get into his SUV.

So...the Cheney's are OK with what Democrats have done to America in these past four years?

The death of loyalty? - Lynne Lechter     . . ."Cheney has stated his reason for supporting Harris is because Trump is the most dangerous person in the country to be president. What?  Really?  I don’t recall Trump giving plane loads of money to Iran — our sworn enemy.  I don’t remember Trump pulling out of Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of 13 Americans — with many more stranded in-country, along with the billions of dollars in materiel that was simply abandoned and is now for sale to America’s enemies. And, at the expense of the American taxpayers.  Both of which occurred under Harris’s tenure as Vice President and who was reportedly — in her own words — “the last person in the room” when these egregious decisions were made.

"I don’t remember Trump ever having been made “Border Czar” as Harris has been for the last three years. Under her watch, she has been to the border exactly once and approximately 6–7 million illegals have sashayed across our Southern border. And, unfortunately they are not just from Mexico and Central American countries looking for a job and more pay, as they were in the past.  No!  Now they are from every country in the world — and mostly single males, with motives unknown." . . .

Tulsi Gabbard Reacts to Dick Cheney’s Endorsement of Kamala Harris-(Madeline Leesman) )

"Remember: A vote for Kamala is a vote for Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, and the woke warmongering cabal. A vote for Kamala is a vote for war, war, and more war — and with it, more infringement on our liberties in the name of “national security.' "

'Caught off guard': How Tulsi Gabbard's big moment with Harris is playing into Tuesday's debate

. . ."Gabbard didn’t target Joe Biden, who at the time was the front-runner. She turned instead to Kamala Harris, then the junior senator from California, and unleashed a bitter attack that took her prosecutorial record apart in detail." . . .

Cotton Bursts Bash's Bubble on Cheney's Harris Endorsement and Hunter Biden Laptop Lies

COTTON: Well, I mean, some of this is probably that Donald Trump beat his daughter in her last election by 39 points.  I think most Americans are going to look at this race and compare the records they have. Again, it's a very unusual race when you have a president who served in office, who brought good times to America, and you have Kamala Harris, a San Francisco liberal, who has brought to America exactly what you see in San Francisco, as well.

Douglas Murray: "People Behaving Like Israel Hostages In Netanyahu's Basement!"J-TV

Murray mourns the sheer lack of empathy for Israel.

God bless Israel!!! BEBE and the Israel government is Protecting its citizens!! God bless all countries and people who support and defend Israel!

Dear Kamala, We Want To Go Back. And So Should Everyone Else

  Issues & Insights (issuesinsights.com)

"In Trump’s entire four years in office, roughly 2 million illegals were encountered at the border, most of whom were turned back. So far under Biden-Harris, more than 10 million have been “encountered” by border patrol agents after crossing illegally, and there have been some 2 million “gotaways,” as well."

"At every rally, without fail, Vice President Kamala Harris gets the crowd to start chanting “we’re not going back!”

" ' 'Well, look,” she said in Pennsylvania last month, “America has tried those failed policies before, and we are not going back! We are not going back! Not going back!”

"Well, look, Kamala, we want to go back! And we fervently hope and pray that most Americans do as well. And that they vote that way in November.

"We want to go back to a time before Joe Biden and Kamala Harris wrecked the economy, before they unleashed the inflation monster, before they threw open the border, let criminals run free, and exuded weakness abroad.

"In other words, we want to go back to a time when a tax-cutting, pro-growth, anti-regulation, strong defense president was in the White House and America was prosperous and the world at peace.

"What we don’t want is to go forward with the Biden-Harris disaster, which is what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will give us, good and hard.

"So, as a reader service, we’ve gathered a brief sampling of reasons why the public should join us in desperately wanting to go back to the “failed policies” we had under Trump, and not continue with the “leadership” we’ve seen under Biden-Harris. (Readers are invited to add to this list using the comment section below.)

"Inflation. Prices have climbed 20% in the three-and-a-half years Biden and Harris have been in office. That compares with 8% during Trump’s entire term. The massive increase in prices under Biden-Harris was exactly what many economists predicted would happen when the administration poured trillions of borrowed dollars onto a fast-growing economy.

"Wages. Real wages are 2.5% below where they were when Biden-Harris took office. They climbed 7% during Trump’s first term – and had been up 10% before the idiotic COVID measures pulled them down.

"National debt. Biden-Harris have added $7 trillion to the national debt – an increase of 25%. And monthly interest payments on that debt are now 200% higher than they were when Trump left office.

"Crime. Biden-Harris keep crowing about how crime rates are down. But that’s not true." . . .

Never forget: Sunny Hostin Embarrasses Herself By Comparing Hamas To Right Wing Group

 WATCH:Trending Politics (trendingpolitics.com)

"In [a 2023] episode of “The View,” a comment comparing Hamas to the Proud Boys ignited controversy for the show once again. While discussing the recent events related to Hamas’ call for a “Day of Jihad,” co-host Sunny Hostin disgustingly drew parallels between Hamas and the Proud Boys.

“ 'I look at this from a legal perspective… [we] know that Hamas has been designated a terror organization, just like many other terror organizations have had this designation, like the Proud Boys here in the United States,” Hostin incorrectly said; the American organization is not characterized as a terror group.

Hamas, designated as a terror organization by many nations, called for a global “Day of Rage” in the wake of Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip which led to significant casualties. The call to action from the terrorist group witnessed significant ground support from Palestinian advocates, with many explicitly supporting Hamas and its actions." . . .

Jeffrey W. Ludwig asked: "Did I miss where Proud Boys murdered, butchered, tortured, raped and abducted more than 1300 Americans?"

Another comment:

This crosses so many lines. These people are sick and should be thrown out of the public spotlight.

The Cheney's; The death of loyalty?

  Lynne Lechter - American Thinker

"This desertion feels like the epitome of hypocrisy, betrayal, fraud, and abandonment of one’s core beliefs in exchange for exactly what?"

. . ."The target of this author’s disgust is the Cheney family, though probably more Republican desertions will be heralded between now and election day. Dick Cheney was Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009. He served under  President George W. Bush, who thankfully has stated he will not endorse Harris. Prior to serving as Bush’s Vice President, Cheney was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming, and subsequently served as President Gerald Ford’s Chief of Staff.  All as a Republican.

"Cheney has stated his reason for supporting Harris is because Trump is the most dangerous person in the country to be president. What?

They Aren’t Even Mediocre

Don Surber - American Free News Network

"The bureaucrats. By making people who are not even mediocre the figureheads of the country, you empower the mediocre people who run those thousands of agencies and sections in a ridiculously oversized central government." . . .

Mad TV was a sketch comedy show on Saturday nights that ran on Fox for 14 years. Unlike "SNL, it was often funny. As a running joke, it ran commercials for a dating service for the “Desirably Impaired” called Lowered Expectations.

"I look at the Democrat presidential ticket for 2024 and think of those sketches. Kamala and [Walz] are the least accomplished candidates that I can recall. JFK may have been a playboy son of a millionaire, but he did serve in combat in World War II. Quayle’s resume was thin as well and was no Jack Kennedy, or so I have heard, but he was young and grounded in American values.

"Kamala is 59 and Walz is 60. What have they done? What do they really stand for? They won’t say.

"Thanks to her, um, mentor Willie Brown, she held a series of political appointments to overpaid government jobs. The Good Old Boys network backed her later in two races for DA and then for state attorney general and lastly the U.S. Senate.

"Her main selling point was being black and she does not seem to be very good at that. Hillary dropped her G’s better when she talked at black churches.

"And she picked Walz only because he was a white man. That’s called balancing the ticket. I cannot call them mediocre because they have not risen to that level yet.

"Walz taught social studies for decades while serving in the National Guard — and making annual pilgrimages to Red China. He said it was 30 trips including a year as a teacher and his honeymoon.

"Why the Chinese Communist Party approved having a member of the American military repeatedly visit their country is anyone’s guess but the best one is they liked him. They really, really liked him.

"Unlike JD Vance who went to Iraq after joining the Marines, Walz suddenly left the Guard after 24 years when he learned they were headed to Iraq the next year. He holds the distinction of being called cowardly by his battalion chaplain.

"As governor, his greatest accomplishment was putting tampon dispensers in the boys’ restrooms in schools.

"The void of accomplishment by these old baby boomers — like Obama, they made the cut — was noticed even by Jay Caspian Kang of the New Yorker on July 26, who wrote:

Harris is not Elizabeth Warren, who can call up years of work on consumer protections, nor is she Raphael Warnock, with his long history of faith-based political work. She is not a politician who has won broad swing-state support, as Gretchen Whitmer and Josh Shapiro have done. What is Kamala Harris’s signature moment? What fight made her? There is, to date, no clear answer to these questions. Harris has been part of my political life for almost twenty years, basically since I moved to California. I’ve read her autobiography and watched her debate. And yet I feel as though I couldn’t tell you much about her, outside of the fact that she keeps being elected to higher and higher offices. She has no clear political identity; she always seems stuck between places.

I am not calling for Harris to rip up the Biden playbook and run as the new Kamala Harris, but rather to remember that she is asking for the approval of independents and swing voters who might, at this point, know her only as a seemingly do-nothing Vice President who got put in as a last-second replacement.  . .  .

Columbia University Descends Into Chaos as Anti-Israel Mobs Return

*At bottom: "At the festival site, he says small shelters were "filled with piles of women. Their clothing was torn on the upper part, but their bottoms were completely naked. Piles and piles of women. […] When you took a closer look at their heads, you saw a single shot straight to the brain of each."

 Mike LaChance (legalinsurrection.com)

“What are these people going to have to do before authorities take them seriously?”

Who thinks that the administration and authorities AREN’T taking them seriously?
While certainly most of Columbia’s administration and faculty are made up of craven and feckless cowards, the fact still remains that the administration tacitly supports the aims of the “protesters.” Thus, they do little to nothing to stop it.
If the administration was actually against the aims of the “protesters,” I think they would have already been given a whiff or two of grapeshot.

Campus sheep led by people who cheer when American planes are blown out of the sky; when children are murdered in front of their families; when daughters the age of these scarf people are raped and executed during the violation. TD

Hamas and Iran throw support behind Columbia and other Gaza protests (usatoday.com)
. . ."Khamenei also put out a statement on X, formerly Twitter, where he celebrated the flying of a Hezbollah's flag in the streets of the U.S. "The people of the world are supporting the Resistance Front because they are resisting & because they are against oppression," the post read.

"Plaudits from Iran and Hamas − the group that carried out the Oct. 7 attack prompting the deadliest single assault on Jews since the Holocaust, slaughtering 1,200 and dragging hundreds back to Gaza as hostages − come at a boiling point. Protests have embroiled college presidents, students, political leaders from both parties and even President Biden himself as thousands of Jewish students denounce growing antisemitism on U.S. college campuses.

"It should be noted that Iran and Hamas have come under fire for cracking down on their own protest movements. Human Rights Watch, an international watchdog group, documented the "excessive and lethal force" Iranian security forces used to repress widespread protests that erupted in 2022.

"In Gaza, beatings and arrests of human rights defenders, journalists and demonstrators by Hamas in recent years, reflect a systematic practice, a report by the watchdog organization found." . . .   Americans can be taught to hate America and Israel . . .

. . . And support those who did this on Oct 7th, 2023 to Israeli people.

*Israel Gaza: Hamas raped and mutilated women on 7 October, BBC hears  "Several people involved in collecting and identifying the bodies of those killed in the attack told us they had seen multiple signs of sexual assault, including broken pelvises, bruises, cuts and tears, and that the victims ranged from children and teenagers to pensioners.
"Video testimony of an eyewitness at the Nova music festival, shown to journalists by Israeli police, detailed the gang rape, mutilation and execution of one victim.
"Videos of naked and bloodied women filmed by Hamas on the day of the attack, and photographs of bodies taken at the sites afterwards, suggest that women were sexually targeted by their attackers.
"Few victims are thought to have survived to tell their own stories.
"Their last moments are being pieced together from survivors, body-collectors, morgue staff and footage from the attack sites.
"Police have privately shown journalists a single horrific testimony that they filmed of a woman who was at the Nova festival site during the attack.
"She describes seeing Hamas fighters gang rape a woman and mutilate her, before the last of her attackers shot her in the head as he continued to rape her." . . .

Liz Cheney’s Kamala Endorsement: A Symptom of Elite Panic

American Greatness  The rush of people like the Cheneys to Harris's banner is not a sign of strength; it is a sign of desperation.

That’s what the anti-Trump narrative says. But on what grounds?  We know what Trump would be like as president because he has already served a full four-year term.  There were things to criticize—profligate spending and, above all, his handling of the COVID hysteria.  But by and large, he had not just a successful but a wildly successful term.

"Perhaps my favorite moment in Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s speech announcing the suspension of his presidential campaign and endorsement of Donald Trump was the rhetorical question, “Who needs a policy when you have Trump to hate?” I was reminded of that in the last couple of days as first Liz and then her father, Dick Cheney, declared that they were endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

"I guess the legacy media regards those endorsements as big news because if you try to search for some of the blistering attacks Liz Cheney unleashed on Harris in the past, all you get is a solid wall of rah-rah headlines about what a big deal it is that the Cheneys turned on their party and endorsed Kamala.  My own feeling is that Ann Coulter got it exactly right in her amusing post on X:

Uh Oh, I just heard the news…DICK CHENEY IS VOTING KAMALA!

This…is…the…BIG ONE!

If they lose David French, this thing is OVER!

O-V-E-R

"Of course, the Cheneys are not huddling with Kamala because they like what she stands for.  They, like the scores of other neocons who have endorsed Harris, are doing so because they hate and fear Trump.  Sure, we have our disagreements with Harris, they say.  But “The alternative . . . is simply untenable.” . . .

"Two points.  First, their fear of Trump is not irrational.  True, when he was elected in 2016, he did not “lock her up” Hillary Clinton, though he had better grounds to investigate her than the DOJ had to investigate him after he became president. Nor, despite Trump’s talk of “retribution,” do I believe he will weaponize the DOJ and other agencies to go after his political opponents. That’s what Democrats and NeverTrump neocons do." . . .

Guess Who’s Not Going to Jail Before the Election?

RealityBites by Broc Smith

Clarice Feldman - American Thinker  "For some time now the Left has been salivating over the prospect that New York judge Juan Merchan would jail Donald Trump on September 18, before the election. Reports were that a cell in Riker’s was being readied for him and even that he’d be denied Secret Service protection (such as it is) while incarcerated. Not going to happen. The week started off badly for Manhattan District attorney Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor of that case, when on a hidden camera Nicholas Biase, Bragg’s chief spokesman said, “Honestly, I think the case is nonsense.” (When the video by Steven Crowder’s operative was made public, he claimed he denied he meant it, that he was just trying to impress the woman who taped him so she’d go on a date with him.)  Of course, the case contending it was felonious for the way money paid to “hush” Stormy Daniels was reported is, in fact, nonsense. A few days later, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik filed an official ethics complaint against Judge Merchan for refusing to recuse himself despite “his family’s increased financial ties” to the proceedings. (His daughter has garnered millions of dollars fundraising on behalf of Kamala Harris.)"

"That same day Merchan announced he is delaying sentencing until November 26 -- that is, after the election. Because of a need to respond on September 16 to another matter, Trump’s attorneys asked for a delay. Bragg’s office deferred to the Court -- that is, they did not object to any delay, and by letter Merchan responded to Trump’s counsel indicating he’d delay imposition to avoid any appearance “that the proceeding has been affected by or seeks to affect the approaching presidential election in which the defendant is a candidate.” (Where would anyone have gotten that impression?)" . . .

After rigging a trial, colluding with Democrats, and getting the verdict he wanted, Justice Merchan delays Trump's sentence? - Monica Showalter  ..."After all, there is zero doubt he wants to ship Trump off to prison. He was the judge in other cases against Trump executives on kangaroo-court charges, and publicly burned with fury that he couldn't give them longer sentences than the law allowed. You can just imagine what he'd like to do to Trump. Many say he would never jail Trump but that's not his pattern.

"So why did he blink when he finally had him where he wanted him?

"Most likely, he recognized that the more he stuck it to Trump, the higher his poll ratings went -- propelling him to a lead, actually, when he hadn't had one earlier. That was the pattern during the trial, because the public doesn't like lawfare, particularly lawfare that affects its voting choices, and this was politicized lawfare with a capital 'L.' Witnesses were forbidden to appear. The president was gagged. The jury was all leftist Democrats. Pervy creepy irrelevant witnesses with nothing to add but salacious stories were allowed to unspool on the stand, such as the porn "star" Stormy Daniels, in an obvious bid to embarrass President Trump and drive his poll numbers down." . . .
