Recess Rules: Democrats Are the Playground Bullies, and Republicans Keep Handing Over Their Lunch Money

Will Republicans Ever Grow A Backbone? – GrrrGraphics

"Traditions? Buddy, the only tradition here is the Republicans playing nice while Democrats play dirty."

"Remember when Donald Trump had everyone chanting “Lock her up!” during his 2016 campaign? During one debate, he told Hillary she should be in jail, but once he was elected he turned kind and forgiving and even said Clinton was a ’nice lady.’ Trump played nice and what did get for it? Hillary was NOT nice—she played it mean and triggered the Russia collusion hoax, which clouded his first term. He’s learned his lesson now—he lives by the acronym, ‘FAFO.’
"Too many other Republicans claim they are taking the high road and being statesmen, but in fact their non-confrontational approach is seen by Democrats as being wimpy. Republicans get swat-teamed while Democrat suspects get asked politely to show up before a Democrat judge—who promptly lets them off the hook.
"The Democrats can disrupt, threaten violence, hurl vile insults at conservatives and break the law with impunity. Obama used security agencies to spy on the Trump campaign. Nothing happened. They outright stole the 2020 election. Nothing happens. They can shut down the government and walk out on Trump’s SOTU speeches without consequences. The Democrats are the bully in a schoolyard in dire need of a punch in the nose, but the Republicans are not up to that task. They’re the skinny, nerdy kid with the thick glasses, pocket protector, and self-help books who gets threatened by the Democrats. What do the Republicans do about it? Nothing.
"That’s exactly what’s happening right now with the SAVE America Act—the commonsense bill that says, “Hey, maybe voters should prove they’re actual American citizens before registering.” It sailed through the House like a well-aimed spitball, backed by President Trump and every Republican who can count to 218. But in the Senate? Cue the dramatic music. Senate Majority Leader John Thune and the GOP crew have 50 votes locked in—enough to move it forward—but Democrats are threatening the filibuster like it’s their favorite wedgie move. “You want this to pass? Gotta get 60 votes or talk us to death!” they sneer, while Republicans stand there clutching their binders, mumbling about “bipartisan decorum” and “Senate traditions.”

Why Democrats fight so hard for their illegals; Dems have now figured out how to use other people’s money to buy human beings.

 M. Walter - American Thinker

"Who says Democrats can't learn?

"Back in the 19th century when the Democrats actually, physically owned human beings, they had to pay for them themselves. They not only had to pay for them up front, but then pay to transport them, house them, feed them, and care for them (to the extent that they did at all, simply to preserve their investment). And they did all this in their own backyards. Literally. On their own plantations.
"Now? Well, we don’t have those kinds of plantations anymore. Nowadays we call those plantations “key congressional districts.” And we now call those slaves “illegal immigrants.” They are collected deposited like so much chattel in key congressional districts Democrats need to keep or turn blue. And, crucially, Democrats now use other people’s money — our tax dollars, specifically — to import, house, feed, and care for these human beings. In that regard nothing’s really changed: Human beings still cost money. Lots of it.
"At first some of us wondered why Somalis (for instance) were being dumped, en masse, in places like Minneapolis or Portland, Maine, but now we know why. You almost have to admire it, it’s so cynically perfect. They needed warm bodies for votes (and money-laundering).
"Joe Biden and Democrat governors gave them all Social Security cards and drivers’ licenses — with motor-voter registration — because, really, who’s gonna know? Worse, who at the DMV is gonna even care? Why Democrats fight so hard for their illegals. . .

Gavin Newsom a ripe candidate for Parody

Gavin Newsom's Presidential Ambitions Sunk After Nation Discovers He's The One Running California | Babylon Bee

"SACRAMENTO, CA — Governor Gavin Newsom's presidential prospects tanked sharply this week after the nation finally realized he was the guy running California.

Though long considered one of the leading candidates to win the Democratic nomination in 2028, Newsom's chances took a devastating hit once everyone discovered he was the one who had been ruining California for the last several years.

"Oh, that was him?" voter Randal Caspian said. "I didn't realize he was the governor of that state. California isn't really the state I want to model the entire country on. That place is the worst."

Many other Americans expressed similar feelings of surprise after learning Newsom is the one running the Golden State. New data showed that once people learned Newsom runs California, his prospects of winning the election evaporated.

"Yikes, that's awful." American Rachel Robinson said. "He looks qualified, he's got hair and a nice smile, I guess. He can talk. But I didn't realize he was the Governor of California. Didn't part of their state just sort of, like, burn to the ground last year?"

Other voters admitted they thought Newsom was in charge of something entirely different this whole time.

"I thought that guy was the CEO of Wendy's or something." Clark Gardner admitted. "He's the one behind the wheel in California? Oh, nope. Can't let him be in charge of the entire country."

At publishing time, Gavin Newsom asked his advisors if he could get in touch with someone about becoming the CEO of Wendy's.    End quote

Tearful Savannah Guthrie offers $1 MILLION reward for her kidnapped mother Nancy Guthrie, 84, and concedes for first time that she may be dead

 Daily Mail Online

"The Guthrie family, acknowledging that there are millions of families in their exact situation, has also donated $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Guthrie revealed Tuesday."

Guthrie with her sister Annie (top left), brother Camron (bottom left)
 and Nancy (bottom right)

"Savannah Guthrie has now offered a $1 million reward for her kidnapped mother, Nancy Guthrie, as she conceded for the first time after weeks of searching that she may be dead.

'We need to know where she is, we need her to come home,' the Today host said in a video posted to her Instagram account Tuesday.

She said the family still believes that Nancy could come home, as her sister Annie describes their ongoing hunt as 'blowing on the embers of hope'.

'We also know that she may be lost, she may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the lord that she loves,' Guthrie said through her tears.

The journalist added that if Nancy, 84, has died, they will 'accept it,' but the family still needs closure.

'But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery,' Guthrie said.

She pleaded directly with Nancy's kidnapper and anyone with information about her whereabouts, saying: 'If you've been waiting and you haven't been sure, let this be your sign to please come forward.

'Tell what you know and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave, noble and courageous life that she has lived. Please be the light in the dark.' . . .  More...

A Century of Tradition Broken: Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Cold War with the Catholic Church

A Century of Tradition Broken: Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Cold War with the Catholic Church

Dolan hasn’t held back on his skepticism of this label, suggesting that the “collectivism” Mamdani champions often stands in direct opposition to the American values the Church has historically defended. While previous mayors—from La Guardia to Bloomberg—frequently clashed with the Church on policy, they maintained a level of “ecumenical health” that allowed for public cooperation.

"Mayor Mandani Snubs New Yorks(sp) 2.5 million Catholics"

According to Cardinal Dolan, the frostiness from the Mamdani administration isn’t a one-time scheduling error. It appears to be a pattern:

  1. The Inauguration: No Catholic clergy were invited to participate in the Jan. 1 inauguration ceremony.

  2. The Transition Team: Cardinal Dolan noted a glaring lack of Catholic representation on the mayor’s transition committee.

  3. The Installation: In a historic first since 1939, the mayor skipped the installation of Archbishop Ronald Hicks, Dolan’s successor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

“That defied precedent,” Dolan remarked in a recent interview. “I was ticked off that he didn’t invite me… and I was really ticked off that he didn’t show up at the installation.”

Why It Matters: By the Numbers

This isn’t just about hurt feelings at the pulpit; it’s about a massive segment of the New York population. Recent data from the Pew Research Center highlights the stakes:

  • 32% of adults in the NYC metro area identify as Catholic.

  • 2.5 Million Catholics reside within the Archdiocese.

Dolan argued that the mayor’s presence at these events isn’t about the “clout” of the Church, but about civic respect for a community that forms the backbone of the city’s social fabric" . . .

Black NYC homeowners slam Mamdani's property tax increase scheme

As once with Ted Kennedy, every plan his opposition - Republicans - came up with was a "scheme". It does seem so with me in this case but helps bypass reasoned debate. I know Catholics on the east coast and wonder: do they see this issue as Catholics, or as socialists?

NY Post

"Black homeowners are fuming over Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s threat that he’ll raise their property taxes by nearly 10% — with some telling The Post it could force them out of New York City.
"“Mayor Zohran Mamdani you are out of your g******n mind,” Cambria Heights resident James Johnson seethed.
"Critics like Johnson, 35, a Democratic City Council candidate and an activist for the predominantly black and working class Queens neighborhood, argued the proposed tax hike was a whiplash-inducing departure from Hizzoner’s campaign promise that only the ultra wealthy would see their taxes go up under his administration.
" 'You screamed affordability. You ran on it. You said affordability, affordability, affordability … And the first thing, not even three months into your administration, into your term. You wanna hit us with a 9.5% property tax increase? Not happening.”
"Mamdani revealed the whopping 9.5% property tax increase pitch last week, as he unveiled his record $127 billion preliminary budget proposal for next year. He framed the proposal as a “last resort” for raising revenue if Albany and Gov. Kathy Hochul refused to approve the income tax hike he wants on New Yorkers making $1 million or more.
" 'There’s this narrative that the governor is going to tax the rich. You tax the rich, this is gone … But the problem with that is that you are giving only two options,” Johnson said, noting higher property taxes would squeeze Big Apple residents whether they rent or own."
“You’re saying if we don’t tax the rich, then I got to increase property taxes. There were many, many, many other options to make sure that things were affordable,” he said.
"Johnson was one of around 30 homeowners who joined the “Hands Off Our Homes” rally on Thursday to push back against the mayor’s plans.
"Some at the rally said the proposal would hurt lower income New Yorkers to the point they may be forced to sell and leave the city." . . .   More...

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) shared a similar sentiment, saying, “You can thank Mamdani’s anti-police rhetoric for this.”

Mamdani still has anti-police posts on his personal social media pages, including one that reads: “We don't need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD.”

Mamdani, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, has faced political scrutiny over his approach to public safety since winning the election in 2025. During his campaign, he emphasized strengthening community-based responses to crime and said he would work with police rather than defund them."

Gavin Newsom Is Playing A ‘Trump’ Character He Doesn’t Understand

First this:  Meet Neppo Marx, the Democrats’ Great White 2028 Hope

"Of course, his real superpower is that he’s a Newsom, and the money and connections coming from that have ensured that if he fails, he fails upward. How many of the people in that audience can identify with those problems?"

The Federalist

"Watch Gavin Newsom speak. You’ll see it. He’s playing what he thinks the character who won the presidency is like. He’s doing an imitation. . . "

"Occasional California Governor Gavin Newsom, who keeps turning up anywhere but California, has continued his highly calculated descent into vulgar and insulting behavior this week. The performance still has the awkwardness of the first week of acting school. It’s like watching a character play a character, many times removed from an identifiable real person. Whatever he’s doing, he’s definitely pretending.

If you’ve missed it, Newsom is back to doing subtext-heavy locker room kneepad jokes like the one he did in Davos, and he’s bragging to audiences that he’s stupid like them, “a 960 SAT guy.” He’s playing a towel-snapper, a mean jock, not above hard words or a fist fight. His relentlessly horrible director of communications got in on the act, responding to questions from a journalist like this:

Newsom is not yet swaggering into campaign events in a wifebeater, but give him another week. The character he’s currently playing is a rude, crass, and transgressive, and not above dropping hints about coming up from the streets. Of Marin County, but whatever. If you haven’t seen what his hard-talking communications guy looks like, by the way, go take a look.

"It’s a baffling performance, but last year the Los Angeles lawyer and journalist Laura Powell gave us the key to understand it: Newsom is cargo culting, like a South Pacific islander watching the disappearance of military logistics efforts after World War II. “In isolated societies,” Powell wrote, “so-called cargo cults emerged when indigenous groups constructed imitation airstrips and towers, believing this would cause Western goods to descend from the skies as they once had, without understanding the actual forces that made the planes appear.” He’s performing a set of appearances, thinking that the images are the substance.

"Men are turning away from the Democratic Party, so Newsom turned up last year on the podcast of Shawn Ryan, a former Navy SEAL. As Powell noted, “Newsom laced his speech with curse words – roughly one per minute – and called Ryan ‘man’ or ‘brother’ with cringe-inducing frequency.” He talked a lot about football and guns, bro. Powell summarized the performance as Newsom “trying on a new mask.”

This year’s mask is modeled on the Shawn Ryan masculinity mask, but it’s a different version. It’s more directly a Donald Trump mask, but not quite: It’s a mask of what Gavin Newsom thinks Donald Trump is." . . .

"Newsom and his communications team see the form: Trump insults people and he’s rude, so he won the presidency, so being rude and insulting wins the presidency."       More...

 Nicki Minaj :

His way of bonding with black ppl is to tell them how stupid he is & that he can’t read. This means my first read on him was correct. He’s been handed so many things & put in high positions he never earned or deserved. Do you wanna know the craziest part of this footage that will haunt him forever? He’s literally slowing his speech down & talking in a sporadic cadence. He’s not just TELLING them that they’re all probably stupid & probably can’t read, he’s LITERALLY SLOW-ING-DOWN-HIS-SPEECH to make them understand the words that are coming out of his mouth!!!! As if they’re children!!!! That means he REALLY BELIEVES they’re slow. He’s not just saying it—he didn’t misspeak!!!! He BELIEVES it!!!! Do ya love it?!?!! Do ya just love it, black ppl?!????

You Knew These People Were Going to Try and Ruin the Most Significant US Olympic Win in Years

 Townhall

"Currently, many hostile, friendless white liberal women are attacking the men’s team for accepting the SOTU invite."

"It didn’t take long for opponents to attempt to diminish the most notable Olympic victory in decades. On Sunday, the US men’s hockey team secured the gold medal by defeating its archrival Canada. This occurred 46 years after the Miracle on Ice game, which was also the last Winter Olympics in which our hockey team won gold.

"However, because liberals are often seen as misguided, anti-Trump, and worse, un-American, they tend to dampen the mood. The good thing is that there are few, so the rest of us patriots just laugh at them. This isn’t a time to rely on those worthless “whine like a b**ch” degrees. No way. You people whining about Team USA winning, Donald Trump’s call to the men’s team as they celebrated, and a joke about inviting the women’s team to the State of the Union were taken way out of proportion.

"First, the women’s team also took home gold, with Megan Keller’s epic overtime goal. Both teams went into overtime. Both squads won 2-1 over Canada. It’s awesome.

"Currently, many hostile, friendless white liberal women are attacking the men’s team for accepting the SOTU invite. Additionally, numerous casual viewers, who don’t follow sports or hockey, and didn’t bother to wake early on Sunday for the game — since liberals typically don’t watch sports — are also chirping. Furthermore, many women who previously believed hockey was full of gay players, thanks to that Heated Rivalry show, received a harsh reality check. Ladies, hockey is actually one of the most right-leaning sports." . . .

97-year-old woman broke her hip, but was denied an ambulance because…resources…she was found dying on the floor 5 days later

 Olivia Murray - American Thinker

That wonderful “healthcare for all” system the progressives keep pushing in the U.S.

In October 2025, 97-year-old Babette Burge called for emergency services, and the attending paramedic determined that given Babette’s “shortened and rotated” leg, she likely had a hip fracture. But unfortunately for Babette, she lived in the U.K. with its socialized medicine system, so the paramedic said she’d have to wait ten days for an ambulance.

Mohammed had a stuffy nose, Fatima was going into labor, and Ahmed was experiencing a khat overdose. (I’m being facetious, but I’m probably not that far off, if at all.)

Babette was found five days later, expiring on the floor of her home.

According to the Daily Mail report, the inquest into the tragedy revealed she did in fact have a broken hip, a contributing factor in her pneumonia death.

After doing a quick internet search, I discovered that for FY 2024/2025, the National Health Service spent around £205 billion—which equates to around £561 million, or more than half a billion pounds, each day. Then, I learned that the NHS, in recent history, ran a massive campaign to promote LGBTQ+ advocacy in the system, painting the ambulances with rainbows, and commissioning a gay doctor to design a rainbow badge for the NHS uniform; this badge was then mass produced for “friendly” employees and staff." . . .More...

Gavin Newsom tells blacks they’re the standard of stupid; And to think this guy could actually be president.

 Olivia Murray - American Thinker

"Gavin Newsom descended to Biden-level gaffes when he told blacks that they’re the standard of stupid, and he’s right there with them:

"I’m basically illiterate and “can’t read” because I’m dyslexic, and I got an abysmal SAT score because I’m not an intelligent or intellectual guy—hey, now that I think about it, “I’m just like you!” To a black audience. Sounds like Biden’s “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” moment.

"News flash buddy: The self-deprecating doesn’t work when you’re deprecating everyone else too.

"And this is just the latest gaffe, as Newsom has really been on a retard roll as of late—I’m taking that word back from the left and using it in the proper context, speaking to Newsom’s delayed and/or depressed mental faculties.

"Just the other day, Ted Cruz called Newsom “historically illiterate” when he critiqued Newsom’s comparison of American law enforcement, presumably referring to ICE, to the Nazis:

Senator Cruz did not refer to Governor Newsom’s ability to read but rather his knowledge of history. Historically illiterate refers to knowledge of history. Newsom left the word historically out of the original tweet which says “historically illiterate”

"Newsom then responded, condemning Cruz’s “new low” for attacking a guy with dyslexia, saying this: “Ted Cruz calling a dyslexic person illiterate is a new low, even for him.” Peachy Keenan summed it up best: “Thinking ‘historically illiterate’ makes you functionally illiterate is what tells me you are in fact illiterate.” (Literacy tests for politicians should be a no brainer.)"   More...

Nancy Guthrie sleuths fume 'what a disgrace' after major update

 Daily Express US

This all comes as a source told ABC that the investigation is to be scaled back as it enters its fourth week, with still no trace of Nancy.

"At the center of Nanos’ perceived refusal to hand over control of the case appears to be a feud, dating back
years, with the FBI in 2015 when he was appointed chief of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department."

"As the search for Nancy Guthrie reaches its 23rd day, it seems tensions are mounting.
"The 84-year-old mom of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie is suspected to have been taken against her will in the early hours of February 1  from her multi-million dollar home based in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. . .
"Only a handful of promising breakthroughs have occurred from the released footage showing a masked individual tampering with Nancy's Nest doorbell,  to a bloodied glove found a mile away from the Tucson home where Nancy lived. However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has yet to find any concrete leads. It comes after an ex-FBI agent revealed the hidden codeword that Savannah used in her message to the kidnappers
"In the latest development, it seems the FBI is desperately trying to take over the case but is reportedly getting pushback from Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who has been leading the case."
"In a segment that aired on Fox News over the weekend, retired police lieutenant Randy Sutton weighed in on the progress so far. " . . .More..

CODIS is a storehouse of DNA taken from crime suspects or people with convictions. Any hits could identify possible suspects in Nancy's disappearance.

REPORT: Iran’s Ayatollah is Quietly Preparing for His Own Assassination With Detailed Succession Plans

What style of wearing apparel will our campus leftists be sporting in the streets during this next event? TD

The Gateway Pundit

"Khamenei remains in charge for now, although it increasingly appears like his time is fast running out."

"Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly taken steps to prepare for the possibility of his assassination or removal as tensions with the United States and Israel intensify.
"According to a New York Times report published on Sunday, Khamenei elevated longtime ally Ali Larijani to serve as the country’s de facto decision-maker during January’s anti-government unrest.
"The move has effectively sidelined Iran’s elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
"Larijani, a former Revolutionary Guards commander and current secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is now taking on an expanded role in the state’s affairs.
"He has overseen security responses to protests, coordinated with regional allies including Russia and Qatar, and played a central role in nuclear-related discussions involving Washington.
"Although Larijani has emerged as a dominant figure, it is said he lacks the clerical credentials traditionally required to become Supreme Leader.
"Other names mentioned in succession speculation include Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and former president Hassan Rouhani.
"Reuters previously reported that U.S. military planning could include targeting senior Iranian figures in the event of a strike, though officials did not name specific individuals." . . .More...
