This all comes as a source told ABC that the investigation is to be scaled back as it enters its fourth week, with still no trace of Nancy.
"As the search for Nancy Guthrie reaches its 23rd day, it seems tensions are mounting.
"The 84-year-old mom of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie is suspected to have been taken against her will in the early hours of February 1 from her multi-million dollar home based in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. . .
"Only a handful of promising breakthroughs have occurred from the released footage showing a masked individual tampering with Nancy's Nest doorbell, to a bloodied glove found a mile away from the Tucson home where Nancy lived. However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has yet to find any concrete leads. It comes after an ex-FBI agent revealed the hidden codeword that Savannah used in her message to the kidnappers.
"In the latest development, it seems the FBI is desperately trying to take over the case but is reportedly getting pushback from Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who has been leading the case."
"In a segment that aired on Fox News over the weekend, retired police lieutenant Randy Sutton weighed in on the progress so far. " . . .More..
