GOP betrays its base -- again! 13 GOP members help pass Biden's porky $1.2 trillion 'infrastructure'

The likes of President Trump, Glenn Youngkin, Ron DeSantis, Rand Paul, Devin  Nunes and a few others have shown how they can be effective, fearless and independent. Time to elect more from this fearless tribe

Rajan Laad  "Yesterday, thirteen House Republicans bailed out Joe Biden's and Nancy Pelosi’s agenda by voting passing their $1.2 trillion ‘infrastructure’ bill.

"This list of defectors includes Reps. John Katko (R-NY), Don Bacon (R-NE), Jefferson Van Drew (D-NJ), Fred Upton (R-MI), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Don Young (R-AK), Tom Reed (R-NY), Chris Smith (R-NJ), Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) who voted 'yes' on the bill.

"The bill advances the following items promoted by woke and far-left:

  • “Gender identity” as a protected class
  • “Digital equity” grants partly based on racial or ethnic minority status
  • State-mandated carbon reduction programs
  • Funding for “zero-emission vehicles”
  • “Over-the-road bus tolling equity”
  • Roughly $2.5 billion to expand U.S. border-processing stations for migrants from impoverished Central American nations and other regions around the world claiming asylum.

. . . "It has been almost a year since Biden occupied the White House and his record has been a disaster.

"Inflation is out of control; gasoline prices have risen; the supply chain crisis means that essential items may not reach shopping centers; the IRS wants to monitor bank transactions; and the border is open leading to a historic surge of illegal aliens. They are considering $450,000 payments to illegal migrants separated from their families at the border. Vaccine mandates are hampering essential services and causing unemployment. Afghanistan was a total disaster of chaos, defeat and instability, while China is emboldened.

"Hunter Biden brokered shady deals in Ukraine and China that earned him millions when Joe was vice president and now when he is president, Hunter’s paintings fetch a price higher than works of Claude Monet and Edgar Degas at anonymous art auctions, pointing to likely bribery and influence-peddling.

"This merits the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the conflict of interest and to know if Biden is compromised or is susceptible to blackmail

"How do the Republicans react? ". . . Like this...

BREAKING: Ben Shapiro Announces Major Lawsuit Against The Biden Administration

Ben Shapiro preparing legal action against Biden's 'tyrannical' company vaccination mandate

Trending Politics  "On Friday, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro stopped by ‘Fox & Friends’ to announce a massive lawsuit against Joe Biden’s tyrannical jab mandate. The new unconstitutional mandate goes into effect on January 4th, 2022. It requires all business of over 100 employees to require vaccination or proof of a negative covid test. Shapiro says the company will not comply. “What are you doing about this?” the Fox host asked Shapiro. “We are not going to comply with this mandate and we’ve already filed a federal lawsuit with the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals to stop this mandate.

Lt. Gov. Sears might want to consider reaching out to MSNBC and demanding a public, on-the-air apology.

“The problem is here they want White supremacy by ventriloquist effect.”

"Joy Reid of MSNBC hit a new low this week, and that’s saying something. Reid nodded along affirmatively, as guest Professor Michael Eric Dyson described VA Lt. Governor-Elect Winsome Sears as a puppet for white supremacy.

Reid and Dyson are the racists here. Not Winsome Sears and not the people who voted for her and Youngkin.

FOX News reports:

Liberal MSNBC guest calls Winsome Sears a ‘Black mouth’ for ‘White supremacist practices’

Liberal commentator Michael Eric Dyson called Virginia’s incoming lieutenant governor Winsome Sears a “Black mouth” of White supremacy on Thursday in what critics called a “repugnant” segment on MSNBC.

Sears, a Jamaican migrant and Marine Corps veteran, became the first Black woman elected to the position in Virginia on Tuesday. She declared herself the embodiment of the American dream and that her victory had destroyed “all of the narratives about race.”

That apparently didn’t sit well on MSNBC, as “The Reidout” host Joy Reid said Republicans “demand credit” for voting for Black candidates. Dyson, a frequent MSNBC guest, agreed with Reid and called Sears a “Black mouth” for “White supremacist practices.”

"This is the full quote from Dyson:

“You are doing what all political figures what must do: make choices,” Dyson said. “The problem is here they want White supremacy by ventriloquist effect. There is a Black mouth moving but a White idea … running on the runway of the tongue of a figure who justifies and legitimates the White supremacist practices. We know that we can internalize in our own minds, in our own subconscious, in our own bodies the very principles that are undoing us. So to have a Black face speaking in behalf of a White supremacist legacy is nothing new.”

Watch the segment below:

"A disgusting and hateful display. MSNBC should be ashamed of broadcasting this filth, and make no mistake, that’s just what it is. Filth.

"Here are a few Twitter reactions:

"MSNBC Anchors Have LOST THEIR MINDS After Total Democrat COLLAPSE In 2021 Elections!

Scarborough jumped back in “If you’re making something up that’s not true, I’m going to just — I’m going to chase you all over the state, mock and ridicule you, and people will be laughing at you,”

Has he considered beginning with Joy Reid and Nicole Wallace before moving on to CNN's menagerie?

Comments on the Joy Reid diatribe:

Glenn Greenwald: "
This is one of the most repugnant and racist segments broadcast by a TV network this this year. The message could not be clearer:
"People of color are duty-bound to recite liberal orthodoxy and pledge loyalty to the DNC, and those who don't are brainless puppets being used:

Americans Turn Their Back on Biden

Conservative Cardinal  "Per an ABC/Ipsos survey taken Sunday, most voters are unaware of what is in Democrats’ expenditure legislation. Many voters also believe the initiatives will not boost the economy or their daily lives.". . .

. . . " 'The lack of awareness stretches across all factions,” ABC News observed, “despite Republicans sitting on the sidelines, whereas the White House works entirely with legislative liberals to get both proposals to the president’s desk.”. . .

. . ."The government’s lack of comprehension and excitement for the Democrats’ appropriations bills is a negative indication for Biden. His Build Back Better plan is in jeopardy as Democrat infighting prevents the passage of spending bills — all while Biden’s approval ratings continue to plummet in practically every category.

"Biden’s favorability ratings on the Chinese coronavirus outbreak, migration, Afghanistan, economic expansion, crime, and infrastructure have been declining over several quarters, as per the survey.

"His disapproving scores for taxes and global warming are similarly higher than his approval numbers. 44 percent agree and 55 percent dislike how Biden has managed taxation. 14 percent of those polled approve of his climatic change stance, while 52 percent disagree.' ". . . Full article

Is the wall of delusional Democrat dominance crumbling?

Hypocritical Rachel Maddow complained on MSNBC that "Fox built their primetime around the elections for months."  Pretty rich for a Democrat media outlet that spent years doing nothing but lie about Trump and making out that Republican voters are white racists. Joy Reid said the Virginia election was about education, which, for her, "is a code for white parents who don't like the idea of teaching about race."

Barry Shaw    "I can't begin to tell you, as an overseas observer, how refreshing it was to see the results of recent American state and local elections.

"As someone who had become convinced that America had gone completely off the rails in a dogged pursuit of Marxist insanity by a malevolent Politburo whose central policy was to control the people and change the demographics of the country, making it impossible for them ever to lose power, it was inspiring to see the common folk rise up and express themselves in overwhelming numbers, setting back the woke regressive agenda of their leaders.

"It had seemed that Americans, regimented by federal and local mandates, had become compliant citizens, except for vaccination-refusing hospital workers, truckers, airline crews and ground staff, factory workers, teachers, firemen, police officers, and parents, who were all defined as extremists, racists, and domestic terrorists by the Democrat Politburo and their propaganda media outlets.

"Some results were shockingly amazing.  A truck driver, spending less than $200 on his primary campaign, hammered the incumbent New Jersey state Senate president.  This really was people over power. " . . .

How Low Can Joe Biden's Polls Go Before Democrats Tap the Brakes?  . . . "Perhaps this is part of the reason Republicans hold significant advantages when it comes to selecting the party trusted to do a better job on critical issues. On border security, controlling inflation, and dealing with crime, the GOP holds an advantage of 27, 24, and 22 points. They earn double-digit leads on the economy and getting things done, and a nine-point lead in dealing with immigration. Democrats win on abortion, COVID-19, and climate change. Currently, they have a 10-point lead on education, but with current events in Virginia, that can erode quickly.

Vaccine mandates were the most divisive issue in the poll, with 50% of Americans opposed to them, and 41% strongly so.". . .

Biden's showdown with the Left is coming   "Nearly 100 days into his administration and several trillions of dollars in proposed federal spending later, President Joe Biden is starting to tap the brakes on the whims of the left wing of his party.

"Biden is on board with big spending bills and transformative presidency talk but is going slower on cultural flashpoints such as guns and immigration than some Democrats would prefer. The White House sounded an uncertain trumpet on packing the Supreme Court with new liberal justices and getting rid of the Senate filibuster." . . .

Kyle Rittenhouse’s Self-Defense Claim Strong Under Wisconsin Laws: Expert (UPDATED)

Conservativebrief.com  "Kyle Rittenhouse, who stands accused of murdering two people during rioting in Kenosha, Wis., last year, while wounding a third man, has a significant chance to successfully defend his claim of self-defense under the state’s laws, according to
experts.

"Fox News reported Friday that Rittenhouse, seen in viral videos posted online last summer shooting firing his AR-15 rifle at protesters who were attacking him with objects including one who appeared to club the then-17-year-old with a skateboard, is scheduled to go on trial Monday:

"When Kyle Rittenhouse goes on trial Monday for shooting three men during street protests in Wisconsin that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake last summer, he’ll argue that he fired in self-defense.

"Legal experts say under Wisconsin law he has a strong case. What’s less clear is whether prosecutors will be able to persuade the jury that Rittenhouse created a deadly situation by showing up in Kenosha with an AR-style semiautomatic rifle — and that in doing so he forfeited his claim to self-defense.

"The Antioch, Ill., teen faces six counts including murder charges in the Aug. 25, 2020, deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber. He faces life in prison if convicted of the most serious allegation." . . .

Train Wreck: Watch the Prosecution Fillet Their Own Case at Rittenhouse Trial  ..."As we noted, the prosecution lost in an early ruling that they could not refer to the people shot by Rittenhouse as “victims” because the Rittenhouse team was arguing self-defense and that could be prejudicial to their case."...

UPDATE: "TRAIN WRECK: Rittenhouse Prosecution Implodes With State Witness Richard McGinnis of Daily Caller; "This is NOT supposed to be how the direct examination of your own witnesses is done."

I’ll cover all of this in greater detail in my end-of-day analysis but couldn’t resist getting this out to all of you promptly.

The direct questioning of STATE witness Richard McGinnis by ADA Binger was an absolute trainwreck for the prosecution–and, of course, the jury watched it all happen in real-time.

UPDATE: "To provide some context, for more than 12 minutes ADA Binger tried to get McGinnis to testify that Rosenbaum was already falling to the ground when Rittenhouse began shooting him–in other words, that Rittenhouse simply executed Rosenbaum by shooting him in the back when he was helplessly falling.

"The actual exchange is in the video, so you can watch it for yourself, but a reasonable paraphrase would go something like this:

Binger: So Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum, in the back, as he was falling, correct?

McGinnis: No, Rittenhouse didn’t fire until Rosenbaum charged and lunged at him.

Binger: So he shot him as he was falling?

McGinnis: No, not falling, lunging.

Binger: So you’re saying he shot him while he was falling?

McGinnis: No, that’s not my testimony. Lunging.

"This is NOT how it’s supposed to be done, folks."  . . .

The latest Durham indictment is a big one

Andrea Widburg  "The Democrats' nefarious Russia hoax, which sucked time, life, and political capital out of the Trump presidency, is really getting exposed.  With the arrest of Igor Danchenko and the release of the indictment behind the arrest, we're finally getting a chance to see that the Russia hoax was a fraud from beginning to end and that it reached the highest echelons of Hillary Clinton's circles.

"The Russia hoax, which the Dems unleashed in 2016 and that exploded on the scene with the "pee-pee tape" allegations when BuzzFeed published the Steele dossier shortly before Trump's inauguration, dominated much of Trump's presidency.  Trump's supporters knew that it was untrue, but it was extremely difficult to unravel the details to prove the lie (although Dan Bongino's daily podcast did a superb job).

"Even getting a primer on the lies didn't help identify the real culprits.  We knew that the FBI, the Department of Justice, the State Department, and various specific individuals in the government were involved, especially because it gave them the means to spy on everyone close to Trump, but there was no single culprit behind it.  This inchoate mass of accusations and wrongdoers meant that even as Trump took extraordinary steps to improve America's national security, its national sovereignty, and the economy, the Democrats relentlessly smeared him as a traitor, beholden to Putin.

"Even after Mueller reluctantly conceded that Trump had not, in fact, colluded with Russia, the Democrats kept up the attack." . . .

"Hoax.  Fraud.  Lies.  And so close to the Clintons and so very deep in the heart of the Democrat party.

"The whole story is very complicated, but Jesse Watters, who was sitting in for Tucker, did a great job summarizing it:"

How Wokeness Undermines The Constitution

https://www.terrellaftermath.com/

With a narrative about stolen property, the Woke can gut the Fourth Amendment and subject “warranted” search and seizure upon anyone they so choose, if duly empowered.

New Discourses    “ 'We live on stolen land.” So we’re told – repeatedly – and so we’re increasingly forced to repeat to ourselves in public-facing “land acknowledgments.” Solidifying this spurious message is one of the primary objectives of the Critical Theory of Postcolonialism. It is echoed in Critical Race Theory, which reminds us ad nauseum of an even more inaccurate claim that the American economy was built on stolen labor through the institution of slavery. To the casual observer, these narratives might spur reflective thought or even a critical consciousness, or they might only induce an eye roll, but they have a far more sinister application that can be seen quite clearly when one understands the subversive method of political activism employed by Critical Theory (“Woke”) activists." . . .

. . ."Put another way, as the Woke narratives about society and its “true” machinations gain sway, the fundamental protections of the Bill of Rights will increasingly be subverted. They will not be done away with but will be reinterpreted in total according to the usual double standards the Woke so successfully employ for themselves everywhere they gain the power to do so. This will happen without the need to change a single word. This sounds hyperbolic, but consider these words from Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic’s Critical Race Theory: An Introduction:" . . .Full article here

Technology: the weapon of choice for "progressives"

Washington Post Wants Facebook to Shut Down PJ Media and Others for ‘Climate Denial’    "While the Washington Post piously reminds us that “democracy dies in darkness,” it’s busy shooting out the lights: On Tuesday it published a lengthy call to Facebook to shut down dissident media, including PJ Media, because, you see, the non-Leftist publications are daring to spread “climate change denial” on the platform. Not just democracy, but also the freedom of speech will die in darkness if the Post gets its way.

"The Post article focuses upon a newly published study from one of the endless stream of far-Left advocacy groups masquerading as think tanks, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which the Post hastens to assure us is a nonprofit. Of course. What else could it possibly be called?

"Disagree with the Leftist establishment about the causes of and/or remedies for climate change, and what else could possibly be your motivation but “hate”? You don’t want to see your country voluntarily impoverish itself and empower the People’s Republic of China in service of unproven assumptions and selective application of accountability? Come on, man! You’re just a bigot!" . . .

Far-left billionaire pumps cash into blocking increase in police staffing in Austin, Texas

Far-left billionaire George Soros has pumped $500,000 into a leftist campaign to block a ballot proposition that sought to increase police numbers in Austin, Texas as murder rates skyrocket.

"Homicides have been soaring in the Democrat-controlled city since officials slashed the Austin Police Department's budget.

"As Neon Nettle previously reported, Austin made the largest cut to its police budget of any major city in America.

" 'Austin implemented one of the biggest police budget cuts,” journalist Zaid Jilani revealed earlier this week before a Tuesday vote on whether to pass a measure to increase police numbers to tackle the rising murders and violent crime.

" 'Their homicide rate soared over the next year, and today the surge is larger than most of the country," he added.

" 'Now, voters will decide whether to boost the ranks of the police.”

‘Fox & Friends’ ponder Biden’s strange exchange with Peter Doocy: ‘Who’s running this country?’

BPR   "On Fox & Friends Thursday, Steve Doocy defended his son, Peter, after the Fox News White House correspondent questioned President Joe Biden on rumors of massive cash payouts to illegal immigrants who had once been separated from family members at the southern border.

"Peter Doocy cited an October Wall Street Journal report that alleged as much, the nature of which Biden evidently believes is “garbage.”

" 'About the way, forward, Mr. President,” said Doocy, “as you were leaving for your overseas trip, there were reports that that were surfacing that your administration is planning to pay illegal immigrants who were separated from their parents at the border up to $450,000 each, possibly a million dollars per family. Do you think that might incentivize more people to come over illegally?”

“ 'If you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah,” said the president. “But it’s not true.”

"Doocy followed up and asked if what the WSJ published was a “garbage report.”

" 'Yeah,” replied Biden.

The president then curiously asked about the actual dollar amount, which Doocy confirmed was reportedly $450,000 with the possibility of perhaps up to $1M per family.

“ 'That’s not gonna happen,” Biden said in response, though it is not certain if the president meant it wasn’t going to happen at all, or if he was simply denying the exact dollar amount as a way of dodging the larger question.

"Steve Doocy then pointed to an official statement from ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero, wherein the organization contends that Biden is either unaware of what his administration is doing, or he is breaking an elemental campaign promise, or both:". . .

Biden's $450,000 'garbage'  . . . "Here's the Oct. 28 Wall Street Journal report which Biden effectively called "garbage":

WASHINGTON—The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.

The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift, the people familiar with the matter said. Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances, the people said.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which represents families in one of the lawsuits, has identified about 5,500 children separated at the border over the course of the Trump administration, citing figures provided to it by the government. The number of families eligible under the potential settlement is expected to be smaller, the people said, as government officials aren’t sure how many will come forward. Around 940 claims have so far been filed by the families, the people said.

The total potential payout could be $1 billion or more. , ,

. . . " Never mind that the original report came not from some blog but from the Wall Street Journal. It's "garbage," Joe says. Move along.

"Yet House Republicans are taking action to stop it." . . .
