How San Francisco Became a Failed City UPDATED

Opinion | San Francisco’s Decline Frustrates Even Democrats Like Me - The New York Times (nytimes.com)    . . ."Like it or not, San Francisco has become a prize example of how we Democrats have become our own worst enemy." . . .

Chesa Boudin Recall: How San Francisco Became a Failed City - The Atlantic

. . .Because yesterday, San Francisco voters decided to turn their district attorney, Chesa Boudin, out of office. They did it because he didn’t seem to care that he was making the citizens of our city miserable in service of an ideology that made sense everywhere but in reality. It’s not just about Boudin, though. There is a sense that, on everything from housing to schools, San Francisco has lost the plot—that progressive leaders here have been LARPing left-wing values instead of working to create a livable city. And many San Franciscans have had enough. . . .

BAR NONE: Buffalo Bar Removes Bud Light for Good in Now-Viral Video

 [WATCH] (hannity.com)

"According to a report from The New York Post, Daniel M. Keem, a YouTube personality and podcaster, posted a video on social media showing his local bar taking down the Bud Light tap and replacing it with Miller Light.

“My local bar finally gave up & is removing Bud Light completely from the bar permanently,” Keem wrote in the caption of the post that he uploaded to the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“So, Bud Light is so boycotted that it’s being removed [and replaced] with Miller,” Keem said in the clip.

“It’s being removed from my local bar. Holy s–t. That’s crazy.”

Keem is then heard asking the bartender: “Really, nobody’s ordering Bud anymore?”

“No,” replied the bartender.

"The clip has been viewed more than 8.5 million times as of Friday morning.

"Bud Light is currently laying off nearly 400 employees in the wake of its disastrous partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvane[y].

Karine Jean-Pierre Might Have Finally Crossed the Line - 19FortyFive   "When Karine Jean-Pierre lies and says she can’t keep up with the president because he’s always moving so quickly to serve the American people, it strains credulity. How can a part-time president achieve this?" . . .
A lot going on...

Karine Jean-Pierre responds to AOC: Biden has 'done more than anybody' to secure the border (msn.com)    "The president has done more to secure the border and to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else. He really has!" Jean-Pierre said Thursday.

"Look, the president has done what he can from here, from the federal government, from the White House to put forth and manage our border in a safe and humane way to respect the dignity of every human, as he says all the time, and making sure that our communities are safe," she added.

KJP: We're Doing a Better Job on Border Security Than Those Obstructionist Republicans, or Something (townhall.com) . . ."This comes on the heels of the Vice President (and border czar, don't forget) dutifully repeating the insulting line that the border is secure in an interview on Sunday -- though in fairness, she could barely even pretend that she believed what she was saying.  Jean Pierre was any more convincing.  There have been nearly one million known got-aways on Biden's watch.  There have also been millions more encounters, many of which have resulted in illegal immigrants being simply processed and released into the country.  The border is quite conspicuously not secure.  And if she wants to invite a game of comparisons, that would be very unwise.  Click through and look at these statistics.  Let's toss out the summer of 2020 as a COVID anomaly.  Let's compare apprehensions under the Trump administration in 2019, versus under Biden in 2022.  In April of 2019, there were about 109,000 encounters at the border.  This past April, the number swelled to nearly 236,000.  In July 2019 -- slow season due to heat -- there were 82,000 encounters.  July 2022 saw 200,000.  Team Biden is shattering records on this front." . . .

Biden Administration Finalizes Lightbulb Efficiency Rule Sidelined By Trump Https://T.Co/FRAhDK0K9O Pic.Twitter.Com/0S0rryG7YR

— The Hill (@Thehill) April 26, 2022

"The Biden administration has implemented a comprehensive energy efficiency plan by enforcing a countrywide ban on several commonly used light bulbs.

"This initiative, led by the Department of Energy (DOE), prohibits manufacturers and retailers from selling traditional incandescent and halogen light bulbs, which currently make up a significant portion of the market.

"Instead, they will be required to offer light-emitting diode (LED) alternatives or face significant penalties imposed by the federal government. (Trending: 12 Celebrities Who Promised To Leave America Over Trump)

“ 'It’s impossible for Democrats to leave us alone. States must fight back,” Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., tweeted ahead of the ban enforcement.

“ 'President Biden continues to push liberal fantasies through his weaponized federal agencies,” Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., added. “The Department of Energy should be focused on American energy independence, not on what lightbulbs you can or can’t purchase for your home or business.”

"After several months of proposing the rulemaking, the Department of Energy (DOE) officially implemented regulations in April 2022, prohibiting specific light bulbs due to their low energy efficiency levels.

"According to the DOE’s announcement, these regulations are expected to result in annual savings of approximately $3 billion for consumers on their utility bills, while also reducing carbon emissions by 222 million metric tons over the next thirty years." . . .

Biden: 'I Haven't Had the Occasion to Go to East Palestine'

 Breitbart

"President Joe Biden on Saturday claimed that he has not “had the occasion” to go East Palestine, Ohio, despite promising to do so back in March, after a train derailment resulted in a toxic chemical spill that led to air and water contamination of the village.

"Biden gave a rambling answer after a reporter asked him why he had not yet visited, saying:

I haven’t had the occasion to go to East Palestine. There’s a lot going on here, and I just haven’t been able to break. I was thinking about I’d go to East Palestine this week but then I was reminded I’ve gotta go literally around the world. I’m going from, from Washington to India to Vietnam to — and so it’s gonna be awhile but we’re making sure that East Palestine has what they need materially in order to deal with their problems.

Biden's brain, mind, behavior, and character

"Maybe that's where his idiocy comes from -- a certain naivete, coupled with abundant vanity. Whatever it is, it tells us where his weak spots are, and what Republicans should exploit in the 2024 election. Goodness knows, America's enemies already have."  Monica Showalter

Joe Biden, forever stupid - American Thinker   "You can tell a lot about a man once you learn what he fears most, and with Franklin Foer's recent expose of White House doings, Joe Biden's biggest insecurity seems to be his fear of "being perceived as stupid."

 According to the Daily Caller:

Franklin Foer, the author of a new tell-all book about Joe Biden, appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press and said he believes the president has insecurities over “being perceived as stupid” because of the plagiarism scandal that derailed his first presidential campaign.

"He said this on Meet The Press.

“Yeah. I think one of the things that’s so interesting about Joe Biden is that he has these insecurities that govern a lot of the ways in which he moves through the world. And so, one of his primary insecurities is that he doesn’t want to be perceived as stupid because he had this plagiarism scandal back in the 1980s. So when he walks into an interview or walks into a press conference, he wants to have mastery of what he’s discussing. So his prep sessions can go on for long periods of time,” Foer said." . . .

Biden's brain, mind, behavior, and character - American Thinker   . . ."Biden's decision-making can be characterized as impulsive and even politically self-aggrandizing and melodramatic.  His abrupt and impulsive decision to leave Afghanistan despite other possible options proposed by the military did fulfill a campaign promise, but it was not executed carefully and effectively from many angles of consideration.  The consequences for our Afghan friends and allies left behind and Afghan women is devastating.  The potential for future al-Qaeda and ISIS attacks is increased in the vacuum our abrupt withdrawal created.

"Biden had campaigned on green energy proposals toward America's shift to solar, wind, and electric-powered vehicles.  However, his abrupt, aggressive rejection of all fossil fuels, industries and pipelines was impulsive.  It hurt America because no gradual plan for such change to a higher and effective percentage of renewable energy was implemented." . . .

Guv Ron’s Great Republican Comeback –

  Issues & Insights

Crime: “When we had two of these district attorneys in Florida, elected with Soros funding, who said they wouldn’t do their job, I removed them from their posts. They are gone.” Cannot any other governor do the same?

After saying much about all the other candidates, the writer closes with these words about Gov. Ron DeSantis:

. . . "But the night’s big winner? Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose candidacy was last seen circling the drain after a series of missed opportunities, missteps and miscues. One such misfire – his ultra-lame “Great American Comeback” slogan – was displaced by his Great Republican Comeback.

"The Sunshine State’s chief executive displayed the energy, enthusiasm, confidence and, most of all, competence that earned a record re-election margin – and an initial spot atop the 2024 presidential polls – bursting from the gate with pitch-perfect talking points that offered, finally, the right focuses.

"The plight of Americans victimized by a “country … in decline.”

Oklahoma City School District Hires Drag Queen Elementary School Principal Once Arrested For Possessing Child Porn and Illicit Drugs

Murnan’s record was expunged in October of 2003 after his short probation period on the drug charge. He spent the next several years creating his “Shantel Mandalay” persona and entering crossdressing pageants such as Miss Gay Oklahoma, V1SUT reported.

Debra Heine; American Greatness  "Dr. Shane Brent Murnan, 52, the new elementary school principal at John Glenn Elementary, had his personal devices confiscated by police in 2001 on suspicion of possession of child pornography, V1SUT reported on Substack. Almost 20 years later, he was investigated for another crime, according to a 2020 court filing.

"Police arrested the then-30-year-old in August 2001 after a Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) search recovered four deleted images of children engaged in sex acts, according to court records. Police also found 6 grams of marijuana in his home. Murnan, at the time, was a fifth-grade teacher at Stillwater’s Will Rogers Elementary School. After the arrest, school officials suspended Murnan and he resigned in May 2002.

" 'From there, some unexplainable legal wrangling began in which Payne County Special Judge Phillip Corley ruled that prosecutors had not proven Murnan had possessed child pornography, claiming it could not be definitively proven the children in the photos were underage,” V1SUT reported.

"Payne County prosecutors appealed Corley’s decision and prevailed in the Payne County Appeals Court.

"In direct contradiction to the earlier ruling, Appeals Court Judge Dave Allen stated in his decision: “It is clear from a review of the pictures that they do represent child pornography”.

"Later on, however, Payne County District Judge Donald L. Worthington reversed the reversal, dismissing the child porn charge.

Payne County prosecutors gave up, choosing not to appeal. In the end, it appears there was never any disagreement about the existence of the pornographic photos on Murnan’s computer, yet the charge was dropped. Was this a behind-the-scenes plea agreement to allow Murnan to accept only the drug charge (marijuana) and retain his teaching certificate?

UPDATED: Joe Biden, forever stupid...and bad

. . .It leads him to project his insecurities about himself on the public, viewing the public as stupid, and thus, gaslighting harder instead of just changing course -- so pay no attention to all that inflation in the economy, that disastrous Afghanistan pullout, that open border, those peeling-away allies, or those high gas prices. He's hard at work at that right now, viewing the public as very, very stupid indeed as he touts the economy." . . .

DeSantis Torpedoes Liberal Spin About Not Meeting With Biden - With Action

  RedState

"I wrote earlier about Joe Biden's visit to hurricane-ravaged Florida. On the way there, he made a weird, snotty comment in response to being asked about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and why he wasn't meeting with Biden. Then, when he was there, he blamed the hurricane on climate change, had a weird, stilted visit with first responders, and told an unbelievable tale about why he still hasn't visited East Palestine, Ohio -- the site of that disastrous train derailment in February.

"The left, instead of concentrating on the people of Florida, made it about Joe Biden. They painted DeSantis not meeting with him as him somehow being fearful of being with the president.

"I don't think anyone has ever been fearful of Joe Biden except Corn Pop, in Joe's mind. Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) even attacked DeSantis for not meeting with the president, calling it "outrageous."

"But while Biden was making snotty comments and Democrats were spreading political nonsense, DeSantis was taking care of Florida hurricane victims -- the thing he's supposed to be doing, not playing politics.

"He was helping serve food to people affected in the Horseshoe Beach community. " . . .
