Democrats’ Cannibalistic Ideology

Victor Davis Hanson

By their own logic, they are racist, sexist, elitist … and convicted of counterrevolutionary crimes.

Former Vice President Joe Biden speaks as Sen. Elizabeth Warren looks on during the Democratic presidential candidates debate in Westerville, Ohio October 15, 2019
"Once liberalism and progressivism give way to Jacobinism — and they often do, as we have seen in revolutionary France, China, and Russia — no leftist is safe from the downward spiral to ideological cannibalism. Yesterday’s true believer is today’s counterrevolutionary and tomorrow’s enemy of the people.
"We saw something like that during both the Trump impeachment frenzy and the current trajectory of the Democratic debates and looming primaries.
"The fury over Trump’s election led to a graduated and escalating series of efforts to remove him by suing three states for supposedly fraudulent voting machines. Then articles of impeachment were introduced. Suits followed citing the Constitution’s emoluments clause. The Logan Act was raised, as was the 25th Amendment. At each juncture, the zeal to remove the president accelerated in direct proportion to the failure of the previous effort. A lack of success was always explained as a result of insufficient revolutionary zeal, not an absence of evidence.
"The escalation culminated in the appointment of Robert Mueller and his “dream team” of partisan anti-Trump attorneys. After their failure to find actionable obstruction and any evidence of collusion, Mueller confirmed in congressional testimony that he was largely a tired administrative-state figurehead, a shill for the anti-Trump zealotry of progressive prosecutor Andrew Weissmann.
"After the collapse of each of these agendas, all that was left was impeachment itself. The criminal was still Trump; but what was needed was a new and better “crime” — and far more passion and hate. And both were found with Ukraine, as first defined as quid pro quo, later replaced by “bribery,” and finally recalibrated as “abuse of power.”
"The weekly Jacobin rhetoric made the prior progressive talk seem counterrevolutionary — until we finally reached the crux of the matter with admissions by various Democrats such as Representatives Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Al Green, and Nancy Pelosi that impeachment was likely the only means to stop Trump in 2020." . . .

Historian Victor Davis Hanson on why he supports Trump

Who is Victor Davis Hanson?  . . . "Hanson is a supporter of Donald Trump, authoring a 2019 book The Case for Trump. Trump praised the book. In the book, Hanson defends Trump's insults and vile language as "uncouth authenticity", and praises Trump for "an uncanny ability to troll and create hysteria among his media and political critics." According to Washington Post book critic Carlos Lozada, the book "focuses less on the case for Trump than on the case against everyone else," in particular attacking Hillary Clinton. According to Lozada, Hanson indulges "in casual sexism, criticizing Clinton’s “shrill” voice and her “signature off-putting laugh,” and inexplicably suggesting that while “Trump’s bulk fueled a monstrous energy; Hillary’s girth sapped her strength.”" Hanson praises the Trump administration for its "inspired" and "impressive" Cabinet members. In the book, Hanson blamed Barack Obama for "deliberately [whipping up]" "much of the current division in the country", while ignoring Trump's birtherism or attacks on Muslims. The book likens Trump to a hero of ancient literature, sacrificing himself for the greater good. Hanson expressed support for Trump's proposed border wall on the Southern border, saying that walls around houses deter criminals." . . .  (Wikipedia)

. . . "Hanson was a critic of Obama. Hanson criticized the Obama administration for engaging in "appeasement" of Iran, and "appeasement" of Russia. Hanson blamed Obama for the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2014. Hanson has argued Obama failed to maintain a credible threat of deterrence, and put the world on the precipice of another war comparable to the Second World War." . . .

13 Things To Look For In The Inspector General FISA Abuse Report

Margot Cleveland  . . . Horowitz’s investigation was limited in scope and thus will leave unanswered many of the questions surrounding the FBI’s targeting of the Trump campaign in the spring and summer of 2016—concerns hopefully addressed soon by Attorney General William Barr and the federal prosecutor he assigned to investigate those matters, Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham. But, given the breadth of the already released details indicating substantial abuse of the FISA process, the IG’s report should address a plethora of problems, some identified by then-House Intelligence Committee chairman, Devin Nunes, and many more discovered as additional facts became known while the Russia collusion hoax unraveled over the last two years.

US Attorney Durham OBJECTS To IG Findings On Russia Probe ORIGINS In STUNNING Statement

Socio-Political-Journal...

"The U.S. attorney who is conducting a wide-ranging investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe released a rare statement Monday saying he disagrees with conclusions of the so-called FISA report -- after DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz found in that review that the probe's launch largely complied with DOJ and FBI policies.
“Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,” U.S. Attorney John Durham said in a statement.
"Horowitz released his report Monday saying his investigators found no intentional misconduct or political bias surrounding efforts to launch that 2016 probe and to seek a highly controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the early months of the investigation. Still, it found that there were "significant concerns with how certain aspects of the investigation were conducted and supervised."
“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff,” Durham said. “However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S.”
"As Horowitz has conducted his review of DOJ actions during the Russia probe, Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, has also been conducting a wider inquiry into alleged misconduct and alleged improper government surveillance on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election." . . .

. . . First, they came up with abuse of power -- not a crime -- it's not in the Constitution. So now they're saying 'bribery,' but they're making it up," he said. "There is no case for bribery based on, even if all the allegations against the president were to be proved, which they haven't been."Dershowitz said that former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton also famously warned against impeaching a president for partisan ends."Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist Paper Number 65: The greatest danger would be if impeachment turned on the number of people each party had," he said.Impeaching Trump, Dershowitz said, would be a "complete abuse" of the Founding Fathers' intentions. For that reason, Dershowitz said he opposed former President Bill Clinton's impeachment just as he does that of Trump. Clinton's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky and the ensuing perjury charge did not amount to a "high crime," the professor claimed."What Bill Clinton committed was a low crime, a crime to protect his personal life," he said, adding that, at the time, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y. -- who is helping lead the Trump impeachment proceedings -- made the exact case in defense of the 42nd president." . . .

Blast from the past: Biden swims nude (2014)

Biden Swims Naked, Upsetting Female Secret Service Agents, Book Claims

Vice President Joe Biden's swimming habits make female Secret Service agents uncomfortable, according to a new book..
Not sure if this has to do with Joe's state of undress.
. . . "Agents say that, whether at the vice president’s residence or at his home in Delaware, Biden has a habit of swimming in his pool nude,” Kessler writes in the book – due for release Aug. 5.
“ 'Female Secret Service agents find that offensive,” he writes.
“ 'Biden likes to be revered as everyday Joe," an unnamed agent told Kessler. "But the reality is no agents want to go on his detail because Biden makes agents’ lives so tough.”
"In addition to the alleged skinny-dipping, agents are reportedly irritated by frequent last-minute trips to Delaware.
"A Biden spokeswoman would not address the claims on the record. A spokesperson for the Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment." . . .

Anthony Hopkins on Why He Avoids Talking About Politics: ‘Actors Are Pretty Stupid’

Breitbart

"Actor Anthony Hopkins said he avoids talking publicly about politics because he believes “actors are pretty stupid.”
"The Oscar-winning star of The Silence of the Lambs and the upcoming Netflix movie The Two Popes spoke in a conversation with fellow actor Brad Pitt for the latest issue of Interview magazine.
“ 'People ask me questions about present situations in life, ” Hopkins said.
“ 'I say, ‘I don’t know, I’m just an actor. I don’t have any opinions. Actors are pretty stupid. My opinion is not worth anything. There’s no controversy for me, so don’t engage me in it, because I’m not going to participate.'”  . . .

Caitlyn Jenner Honored as a Glamour Woman of the Year

A Man Returned His Wife's "Woman Of The Year" Award After Caitlyn Jenner Received One  "A man whose NYPD officer wife was killed on 9/11 has returned her posthumous "Woman Of The Year" Award from Glamour magazine after the publication gave the same award to Caitlyn Jenner."  . . .

"In the letter, Smith wrote that he was "shocked and saddened" that Glamour gave the same award to Jenner, a former Olympian who publicly transitioned.

" 'I find it insulting to Moira Smith's memory, and the memory of other heroic women who have earned this award," he wrote."

. . . "I can only guess that this was a publicity stunt meant to resuscitate a dying medium," he finished. "After discussing this slap in the face to the memory of our Hero with my family, I have decided to return Moira's award to Glamour magazine." . . .

More on the Pensacola murderer

All emphases in the original.
What Really Happened at NAS Pensacola, and Why   "Per Navy policy, none had weapons to defend themselves with.
"The first responders that confronted the shooter were from the local sheriff’s department. Two were wounded in the gun battle, and the terrorist was killed. Three active duty Americans were dead, 8 more wounded, 2 deputies wounded. Many of the wounded were shot through the doors of classrooms on multiple floors of building 633. Most of the base remained on lockdown well into the afternoon as the base was systematically searched for the missing Saudi terrorists officers. By day’s end, 6 additional Saudi Arabian officers were in FBI custody, and several were at large in the community and a man-hunt is still underway.
"So, over a 5 day span, the terrorist checked in, acquired a handgun with 4 extended magazines and ammunition, posted a manifesto online condemning the US as a “nation of evil” along Islamist and anti-Semitic lines, planned and executed his attack with at least 3 accomplices. At least 10 Saudi Military Officers knew of the plan, and either participated or did nothing to stop it. Each one of these individuals had passed the screening process to come train in the United States. That brief recount of the chain of events begs a series of questions, some of which are easier to answer than others.
"Here are some of the most obvious questions, and my best effort to answer them." . . .
Authorities searching for unaccounted Saudi nationals following Pensacola shooting
. . . "The FBI was already questioning six Saudi nationals who were connected to Alshamrani after two were caught filming the attack. According to a press conference on Saturday, authorities had contacted four more Saudi nationals, bringing the total to 10. Three of the men detained were guests at Alshamrani’s dinner party where he aired videos of other mass shootings." . . .

Bill Clinton and all those candy stripers...

The Gateway Pundit
Monica Showalter
Almost every time Clinton’s name is on the pilot log, there are underage girls.
. . . "Hillary Clinton apparently thinks she can ride this out just as shamelessly as she's ridden out every other scandal without consequences. But perverts are pretty powerful in taking the powerful down. A look at what's happened to the Catholic Church, or Prince Andrew pretty well suggest that even an anything-goes society such as ours has maybe just this limit. Epstein, who died in mysterious circumstances in jail, almost as if someone wanted him dead so as to ensure he could make no plea deal by giving away the rich and powerful, was just that kind of guy, and worse still, he specialized in blackmail.
"A guy as toxic as this, and a Bubba with as uncontrolled of appetite as Bill Clinton, surely would be trouble together if the pair were ever to meet. Bill Clinton couldn't even control himself around Monica Lewinsky, how would he stand up against an airplane full of underaged candy stripers? It just goes to show the sheer problematic scale of events that deserve to have some questions asked and answered as Hillary prepares to run for president."

More 'crumbs': Nancy Pelosi delivers sour curdled response to blowout jobs report

Democrats really do have a low estimate of our intelligence, don't they?

Tony Branco
Pelosi: again with the "crumbs"?  " House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who's trying to impeach President Trump and doesn't want to be interrupted, knows better than anyone that Friday's blowout jobs report was crazy good news for President Trump.
"RealClearPolitics is running headlines like these:
"Not a good look for someone who's trying to overthrow a president.
"So ... Pelosi reacted the same way to this jobs bonanza party-hearty it's-raining-jobs fest the same way she reacted to the news that American workers were starting to walk off with $1,000 bonuses, as a direct result of President Trump's tax cuts.
"Crumbs.
"Remember how bitter Pelosi sounded when she called those worker bonuses 'crumbs'?
"Now that's she's impeachment queen, the jobs blowout make her bitterer still, so she put out this just-like-last-time reaction:
“Despite some encouraging numbers, the November jobs report offers little solace to the farmers and hard-working families who are struggling to stay above water with the costs of living rising and uncertainty surging.
“We must take action to strengthen the health and financial security of America’s seniors and families.  Next week, the House will pass our transformational Lower Drug Costs Now Act to finally stop Americans from having to pay more for their medicines than what Big Pharma charges for the same drugs in other countries.
"Stupid woman. We all know she's tried the crumbs thing before. " . . .

The Elephant in the Spin Room

Andrew Thomas blogs at Dark Angel Politics
Timothy Philen   . . . " As was any navel-gazing about the “soul of the Democratic party” until, that is, “Hardball” host Chris Matthews pointed out the electoral “elephant” in the middle of the spin room.  It’s a problem bigger than the merits of the messengers. It’s about the tone-deaf aspects of the progressive message itself.
"Matthews bemoaned the fact that today’s Democrats “always miss the cultural piece,” meaning that they are quick to minimize -- and even demonize, as Clinton did -- the patriotic feelings and genuine apprehensions of a large swath of the American electorate -- one that goes far beyond the Left’s caricature of the uneducated angry white racist working-class male and his enabling wife “clinging to their guns and religion,” as President Obama painted them in a moment of candor.
"That swath extends, in reality, to millions of college-educated middle-class Americans of all colors who have heartfelt and conscience-bound concerns about such issues as abortion, the redefinition of marriage and gender, and the free exercise of their religion guaranteed by the Constitution."    . . .

The white cockade

John Rutledge  "I first learned of the white cockade while I was reading the novel Bunker Hill by Nathaniel Philbrick.  On April 19, 1775, a militia regiment was positioned on top of Punkatasset Hill in Concord, Massachusetts.  As the regiment began marching downhill to confront the British forces, a young Minuteman from Acton named Luther Blanchard began playing a tune on his fife.  It was reportedthat  the militiamen began singing this tune while they marched off to fight the Redcoats.  That tune was "The White Cockade."  This song was known to be used during the 1745 Jacobite Uprising.  Prince Charles of the House of Stuarts sought to reclaim the family throne, which at the time was being ruled by William and Mary.  "Bonnie Prince Charlie" led a rebellion known as the "Jacobites," who hailed from the Scottish Highlands, lowland northeast of Scotland, Ireland, and Northern England.  The Bonnie Prince pinned a white rose on his blue bonnet as a symbol of rebellion.  The prince's rebellion failed, but his myth and courage lived on through the years.  In 1790, the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns penned a song in memory of Prince Charles and his White Cockade. " . . .

My love was born in Aberdeen
The bonniest lad that e'er was seen
But now he makes our hearts fu' sad

He's taken to the field wi' his White Cockade

O he's a rantin', rovin' lad
He is a brisk and a bonny lad
Betide what may, I will be wed

And follow the laddy wi' the White Cockade

. . . "The white cockade was once used as a symbol of defiance against tyranny.  In 2016, we chose and elected Donald J. Trump as our symbol of defiance against a United States government that was no longer a representative of "We the people."  President Trump and a great many American patriots have clearly exposed, for all the world to see, the corruption we've believed was there all along.  What a more fitting and perfect way for President Trump to represent America than by adopting the white cockade as a symbol for his 2020 campaign?  It's a perfect representation of his revolutionary spirit, and his rebellious fight against the Deep State, the anti-American liberals, and the feckless GOP RINOs.
"How great would the white cockade look on the president's lapel, right next to his American flag pin?  If for no other reason, it would drive the Democrats and the liberals more apoplectic than they already are.
"Donald Trump is the most important president this country has seen since George Washington.  I say this without hyperbole and as a well read amateur historian.  President Trump, his family, and the amazing behind-the-scenes Patriots are the last great hope for the sake and future of this country and everything our Founders fought so hard and died for. " . . .
