Will the Trump Verdict Have Much Effect on the 2024 Election? New Poll Says No. . . ."A guilty verdict - which, as we see, is the case - 67 percent of registered voters say it will make no impact, while 17 percent say they will be less likely to vote for Trump; fifteen percent say they will be more likely to vote for him. This is a statistical wash; although we should note that this poll was taken before the verdict, when all this was hypothetical. At the moment, though, the only indicator we have is that this verdict won't have much effect.

"As for the impact of a not-guilty verdict - well, there's little point in discussing that now.

"There are a few likely outcomes of all this that we can predict right away, though:

"Joe Biden - or rather, his handlers - have the reason they need to pull out of any presidential debates now. Biden can swell up and pontificate that he's not going to debate a "convicted felon," and Democrats will line up to bark and clap like trained seals; this works to the Democrats' advantage, as any debate performance by the clearly-impaired president was bound to be a disaster.

"Donald Trump (and this is a guess, but I think it's a pretty good one) will suffer some see-sawing in the polls for a few days, but will continue slowly gaining ground, as he has been doing in recent weeks.

"If Donald Trump does win the election, which is perfectly possible as there is nothing in the Constitution prohibiting a convicted felon from running for or being elected president, the left will use this verdict as a reason to screech "Illegitimate President" for four years."

But in a Biden second term, there will be no guardrails. The administration’s decision to abandon Jerusalem and side with its enemies is a terrible development. But the fortuitous timing allows Israel and the American people to minimize the damage in the coming months, and, if Biden is denied a second term, over the next four years.

The Biden-Harris campaign has released a statement after a jury returned its verdict in Donald Trump's Manhattan criminal trial. Given that Joe Biden's son is facing federal criminal charges in two jurisdictions and goes on trial next week, the statement itself is completely asinine and tone deaf.

“In New York today, we saw that no one is above the law.
“Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain. But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box. Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.
“The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater. He is running an increasingly unhinged campaign of revenge and retribution, pledging to be a dictator ‘on day one’ and calling for our Constitution to be ‘terminated’ so he can regain and keep power. A second Trump term means chaos, ripping away Americans’ freedoms and fomenting political violence – and the American people will reject it this November.”

We already know what a Trump presidency means and chaos is not what we experienced during the first three years of Trump's presidency. Joe Biden Visits Daughter-in-Law Hallie Ahead of Testimony at Hunter Biden’s Gun Trial

National Review (msn.com) "Less than two weeks before Hunter Biden is set to go to trial for felony gun charges, his father, President Joe Biden, paid a visit to one of the upcoming trial’s key witnesses.

"Last night, Joe Biden visited his daughter-in-law Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden and ex-girlfriend of Hunter Biden, according to the White House pool report. Beau Biden was deployed to Iraq and it is Memorial Day weekend.

The president does not appear to be distancing himself from his son as the criminal trial is set to get underway. Joe Biden’s visit to Hallie Biden follows a state dinner held by the White House last week with Hunter Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland on the guest list.

Garland is responsible for appointing special counsel David Weiss, who is leading the prosecution of Hunter Biden. The younger Biden’s attorneys have unsuccessfully sought to dismiss his gun charges based on arguments that Weiss is unlawfully appointed and selectively prosecuting Biden, even though Weiss’s boss is an appointee of Biden’s father.

Three of Hunter Biden’s exes, including ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and Hallie Biden, are expected to testify about Hunter’s drug addiction at his gun trial beginning next week, the New York Post reported based on the prosecution’s trial brief filed last week. The women are not named in the court filings, but they are identifiable based on data from Biden’s abandoned laptop, Biden’s memoir, public reports, and other available records.

"One of the biggest assists that Joe Biden got from mainstream and social media in 2020 was the brutal effectiveness with which they swept the news of his boy Hunter's laptop under the rug. The latest development: Last week, residents of Crook County in eastern Oregon voted in favor of starting negotiations to secede from their state and come under the jurisdiction of Idaho.

Incredibly, Crook County is the 13th county to pass the measure. Since 2020, 17 of Oregon’s 36 counties—or almost half the counties in the Beaver State—have voted on the “Greater Idaho” proposal, and only four have rejected it.

“The voters of eastern Oregon have spoken loudly and clearly about their desire to see border talks move forward,” Greater Idaho Executive Director Matt McCaw said in a statement, according to News Nation. “With this latest result in Crook County, there’s no excuse left for the Legislature and Governor to continue to ignore the people’s wishes.”. . .

"McCaw also stated, “We call on the Governor, Speaker of the House, and Senate President to sit down with us and discuss next steps towards changing governance for eastern Oregonians, as well as for the legislature to begin holding hearings on what a potential border change will look like.” . . .

But in recent days, the campaign appears to have taken a different approach, with leaked reports and impromptu campaign events outside of the courthouse.

"Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a 2016 payment his then-attorney, Michael Cohen, made to Stormy Daniels, for the ultimate purpose of illegally influencing the 2016 presidential election. Trump has pleaded not guilty and contends that the case is part of a broader political witch hunt designed to derail his 2024 bid for the White House. The trial has proceeded to jury deliberations.

"The absence of a verdict, thus far, has complicated the matter for the Biden campaign and some analysts have contended that attempting to play up a prospective conviction could backfire in the event of a different outcome.

“ 'Because we don’t have a verdict, the Biden campaign right now is in a very delicate situation where the last thing you’d want to do is to play up this big trial and then have Trump be found not guilty,” Boston College Professor David Hopkins told The Hill. Biden is also expected to deliver remarks after the verdict.

"The terrorist group responsible for the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States — which resulted in thousands of Americans being killed — praised the left-wing pro-Hamas protesters who have disrupted college campuses over the last two months.

"The protests that erupted in April led to encampments popping up at various top universities across the U.S. as Jewish students and law enforcement were attacked and the protesters called for the destruction of the state of Israel and, in some cases, went further by calling for an “Intifada,” which is a terrorist attacks against Jews or the state of Israel. Professional agitators helped whip up the chaos at many of the schools, according to various law enforcement officials.

"The Islamic terrorist group said in a statement that “every Muslim was happy” with the attacks on Israel that were carried out by “the youth of the Islamic nation.”

“While we support the assassination of the infidel Zionists and the beheading of them, we also appreciate and value the movement of Western demonstrators and sit-in students from Western universities, who through their sit-ins and protests expressed their rejection of the genocide taking place in Gaza,” the terrorist group said.

The Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, which is based in Lebanon, also praised the protesters earlier this month.

“ 'When the American people take a stand in support of Gaza … we salute and applaud them,” said Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem. “We appreciate and value this very much. … The [campus protests] are important, especially because they will have an impact on the U.S. elections. They will have an impact on the American position. Even if Biden says that he will not be influenced by this, he will whether he likes it or not. We will see him taking actions because of the protesters’ influence on him.” . . .

"Let’s not forget that Memorial Day isn’t the only “holiday” this weekend. Hopefully, y’all have your houses decked out and commemorative cards sent off in time, because May 25th marks the anniversary of St. Floyd’s death. You can bet your sweet bippy that our dear, bumbling leader Joe Biden hasn’t forgotten. Sure, Joe might struggle to remember his own name or string a coherent sentence together, but who cares about such trifles on a solemn day of mourning and remembrance? No one who’s capable of that type of sickening violence deserves to be glorified or idolized. Period. But Biden is right about one thing. Floyd deserved more; his family should have placed him into drug rehabilitation and anger management to try to turn him into a productive member of society. Instead, they dropped the ball, and he chose to pass counterfeit bills, consume dangerous amounts of drugs, and resist arrest; ultimately, his actions killed him and tore this nation apart.

"Speaking of the fake 20-dollar bill, Floyd was notorious for spreading counterfeit bills, a fact that was completely glossed over. Prosecutors merely shrugged their shoulders, suggesting Floyd should have just been ticketed and sent on his merry way."
