Brett Baier must not moderate the Republican debate

Albert Veltman - American Thinker  "Brett Baier is not qualified to moderate the Republican debate on August 23 in Milwaukee.  Mr. Baier had a much-publicized interview with President Trump a month ago.  This interview amply demonstrated Baier's antipathy toward the president.  Most of the time, he appeared to be cordial towards the president; however, when Trump brought up the topic of the stolen election, Baier became abusively hostile and interrupted his guest incessantly and would not let the president talk.

"Right after the election, the charges of fraud surfaced, and at every opportunity, the Republicans were asked by the media and Democrats if the election was stolen and derided anyone who agreed that it was and demanded a denunciation of that charge.  Many Republicans who were sceptical of an honest election caved and denied any electoral chicanery.  "This was the most honest election ever" became the media mantra.  Later, we learned there was plenty of interference.  The letter signed by 51 former security officials claiming Russian disinformation regarding the Hunter Biden laptop, along with interference by the FBI, CIA, DoJ, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, is all well documented.  All this interference plus ballot irregularities amounts to stealing the election.  You can call it "disinformation" or anything you like, but it helped to throw the election.  The evidence is overwhelming and incontrovertible that the 2020 election was stolen.

"Brett Baier is either willfully ignorant of these events or simply biased.  Either way, he is unfit to be a moderator.  His hostility and bias disqualify him.  He is a Chris Wallace wannabe and just as hostile as Leslie Stahl.

"Please, don't replace Baier with Neil Cavuto, who surprisingly is worse than Baier.  Cavuto invariably has Chris Christie, Karl Rove, or Asa Hutchinson on just to bash President Trump, and all happily comply.  Rove always has his whiteboard and manipulates facts to bash President Trump.  He must not be anywhere near a camera or microphone." . . .

Kathy Griffin at it Again; her Ditzy Best

“If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican,” she tweeted in September.

Breitbart  Kathy Griffin Posts Photo of Jack Smith Holding Trump's Severed Head. The pictures at the link.

. . ."Jack Smith has brought two indictments against Trump — one for his alleged mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and the other for his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

"Griffin posted the photo months after she said she has an extreme case of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that arose shortly after her cancelation resulting from her photograph of holding a model of Trump’s bloodied severed head. Griffin revealed her struggle with mental health in an Instagram video in which she used a blurred filter that she said reflected how she feels internally.

“ 'I put this effect on because it kind of shows how I’m feeling,” she said in the post.

"Griffin said she did not know if Instagram would be the appropriate place to bare her thoughts on the matter and decided to share for the good of others.

“ 'I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD and for the last year and a half I have been plagued with terrifying panic attacks,” she said. “Sometimes they last a few hours or more typically, they last at least a full day if not multiple days in a row. I feel silly even telling you this because I always thought PTSD was just for veterans and stuff. During my attacks, I typically vomit quite a bit and often have to go to the ER just to get IV fluids. Anybody else?”

"Prior to that, Griffin said in a TikTok video that she had an eight-hour panic attack." . . .

Here We Go – Garland and Weiss Throw Bag Over Hunter Biden Investigation with Declaration of Special Counsel Status

The Last Refuge   "Oh, there will be voices who will proclaim this is the beginning of the end for Joe and Hunter, but that’s nonsense.  We don’t do pretending on these pages.  What happened today was an agreement between USAO David Weiss and US Attorney General Merrick Garland to fortify a silo of protection around the Biden family.

The shift in David Weiss from an investigative US Attorney to an officially appointed Special Counsel [SEE pdf HERE], is nothing more than loading the new color spray paint into the cannister.  Pesky House Oversight Committee inquiry now hits the block of an “ongoing investigation,” a purposeful deployment of a DC replay we have seen repeatedly in the last several years.  The cancer of corruption is institutionally metastatic.

We know the specific motives of USAO David Weiss as a result of the conflict between his public statements, letters to congress and the private statements he gave in meetings with IRS investigators.  Toward the public, Weiss said he had full autonomy and power to investigate Hunter Biden; however, in private he told four investigators the decision-making was not his.  The public statements were refuted and affirmed by two investigators who were witness to his private statements and gave testimony under oath.

As a result, the intent and institutional alignment of David Weiss is clear. This is the cold hard truth of the matter, and it will not change regardless of how much disingenuous concrete they pour around the walls of the silo Main Justice has built.  Ignore any voice who would demand us to pretend the reality is not self-evident.

Here’s the SILO as presented by Garland:

This Girl Played A Stupid Game And Won A Stupid Prize

Matt Walsh   "This girl went viral on TikTok after she posted her story about being accosted in San Francisco, but am I supposed to feel sorry for her?"

Comments to this video:  "As a San Francisco escapee and Conservative I couldn't agree more with Matt. I used to live right in the middle of that once great city. Married to a woman born in The City. Still a SF Giants fan. But can't stand the stupidity. Left over 16 years ago and moved back to the old country where my family is from, South Carolina. Love it here."

"I'm a Canadian, but I loved Indiana when I visited it. Honestly, coming from Toronto, the town I visited there just seemed so wholesome... people seemed unironically happy and genuine. Lots of people socializing, of all different cultures and colours. I loved that there were churches every few meters and pro-life and Jesus billboards. It was just... refreshingly" wholesome. I would have loved to live there.

Guess What Group Is Threatening Boycott if the Washington Commanders Don't Restore the Name 'Redskins'

Native American Group Wants ‘Redskins’ Name Reinstated – PJ Media

Yet here is not a gang of the cloddish, culturally insensitive, racist white males that the left loves to imagine exist demanding that the old name be restored, but the very people that name is supposed to have offended.

"Look, Fat, here’s the deal, as Old Joe Biden would say: the left has won the culture wars. But that was just the first round. The second round isn’t going so well for the fascist forces of hatred and division masked as equity and inclusion. Patriots continue to pour Bud Light down the drain for trying to force the trans madness upon its unwilling customer base, and now the nickname wars, which Leftists had every reason to believe were won and settled once and for all, have taken an unexpected turn: a Native American group wants that football team in Washington to start calling itself “Redskins” again, or else face a boycott. Yes, a Native American group.

"Washington’s WJLA reported Monday that “in a letter to the Washington Commanders Monday, the Native American Guardians Association (NAGA) demanded a meeting with the team’s new ownership to discuss a controversial name change.” Healy Baumgardner, who is president of NAGA’s Global Impact Campaigns, said that NAGA has asked the Commanders for a meeting several times before, and been repeatedly stonewalled: “We attempted to have an open dialogue with the now Washington Commanders since they made the name change several years ago with no response by them to have a conversation. We felt that it was time to apply public pressure.”

"That public pressure comes in the form of a boycott threat, which, after the crash-and-burn of Bud Light, the Commanders should take seriously. NAGA’s letter “is the latest step in the organization’s ‘Reclaim the Name’ campaign, which seeks to bring back the team’s previously retired ‘Redskins’ monicker [sic]. A petition supporting the effort boasts over 60,000 signatures as of Monday night, a figure which matches the seating capacity of the Commanders’ FedEx Field.” The petition has bite: “the organization punctuated its meeting invitation by threatening to push for a boycott if their requests continued to go unheard.”

"NAGA’s letter explicitly invokes patriots’ recent massive victory in the culture wars: “Should we need to encourage a national boycott similar to what happened with Anheuser Busch which is now down $27 billion (note, not one brick thrown, not one highway blocked, not one bridge burned) – WE WILL DO JUST THAT.” Oh, what a glorious paragraph." . . .

Who *Really* Runs the Biden Show? Closer Look at Doocy Clip Reveals Clues

"This lady is the President now."
Turley Reveals How WH Exchange With Peter Doocy Can Magnify Trouble for Biden on Impeachment – RedState  "President Joe Biden’s handlers have become infamous among the White House press corps and beyond for, among other things, the aggressive way they usher reporters away from Biden in order to shield him from uncomfortable questions and embarrassment.

Kamala Harris to be his running mate. During that period of time, members of the news media were literally herded away from Biden like farm animals, so much so that the yelling at them to leave the room even left Harris of all people looking tense at times.

The practice has only gotten worse during his time as president, so much so that at various points the handlers have gotten physical with reporters, which it goes without saying takes things to a whole new and disturbing level.

But while usually we see Biden’s handlers directing everyone else around and away, sometimes their responsibility is to handle Joe Biden – as in to guide him away from dangerous reporters, especially the kind who aren’t easily intimidated.

Such was the case on Wednesday, when during the now-infamous clip of Biden losing it with Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, a handler stepped in moments after Doocy began asking the Devon Archer speakerphone question — and proceeded to promptly take control of the situation… and Joe Biden.". . .

. . ."Whatever the case may be, while we all know at this point who the Handler in Chief is (cc: Jill Biden), I think we’ve just figured out who perhaps more than anyone else in the White House unquestionably has Jill and Joe Biden’s six – quite literally." . . .

Turley Reveals How WH Exchange With Peter Doocy Can Magnify Trouble for Biden on Impeachment – RedState   "I wrote the other day about George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley’s take on the latest Trump indictment, and how Special Counsel Jack Smith’s approach in it could backfire on Joe Biden.

"Turley made the point that Smith was trying to criminalize political “lies” but if they wanted to do that, Biden would be in a great deal of trouble, particularly when it comes to an impeachment inquiry." . . .

A leftist just admitted to what President Trump has been saying all along

This is how President Trump is correct in saying “They are after you, I’m just in the way,” but it’s time we stood up to the extreme leftists who are turning into Nazis without the uniform

  D. Parker - American Thinker   "The political persecution of President Trump is just the beginning; the fascist far left wants to go after anyone who speaks out against them.

"For years, President Trump has said “They are after you, I’m just in the way” and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) recently confirmed that by saying the quiet part out loud. On an MSNBC segment, Crockett said that Republicans defending Trump:

…are really getting dangerously close, in my opinion, to criminal culpability in and of themselves, as well….

"In essence, the most recent political persecution of President Trump is for the “crime” of speaking out against the irregularities of the 2020 election, a tried-and-true tradition of the far left whenever they lose an election.

"Call it the Stacey Abrams Syndrome of just about any other Democrat the past few years documented in videos of leftists complaining about elections. Such as these 24 STRAIGHT MINUTES of Democrats denying election results. The key difference here is that President Trump is on the wrong side of the Department of (in)Justice, just like the rest of us.

"So, the larger question becomes, why did Crockett make the veiled threat? We could be “getting dangerously close… to criminal culpability” for defending Trump and defending free speech?

"Well, it should be easy to follow the “progression” for want of a better word. You can see in going after President Trump, it’s not just to distract from the antics of the Biden crime family. It’s far more sinister than that. It goes to what the left has become and how it has to defend its actions. It’s a similar pattern in a story highlighted on Glenn Beck today, outlined here:. . ."

Scared Jurors, Intimidation: Reporter Andy Ngo's Case Against Antifa Shows How Desperately Lost Portland Is –

  PJ Media

Journalist Andy Ngo was chased, beaten, and chased again when he burst into a downtown Portland, Ore., hotel in May 2021 to get away from his black-bloc-clad Antifa attackers. “They’re trying to kill me,” he told the understandably frightened hotel workers. It wasn’t the first time he’d been attacked by the notorious Portland terrorist gang. If Portland’s criminal justice system wouldn’t stop these guys, Ngo figured, he’d sue them for $1 million.
On Tuesday, a Portland jury decided that two key alleged Antifa conspirators whose cases went to trial were not civilly liable for Ngo’s injuries, both physical and otherwise. The trial was marred by intimidation tactics — not just from the attackers but from their attorney who declared to the unidentified jury members, “I am Antifa” and “I will remember each one of your faces.” We’re talking Godfather stuff here.
Before you dismiss this as “Hey, you signed up for this, Portland, you voted in these knuckleheads who gave Antifa a wide berth,” let’s consider what this case means.
I sat in a Multnomah County courtroom in the trial of another journalist who was beaten by Antifa members and who pulled a pistol to fend off a second attack in 2016. Not a shot was fired, the second attack was thwarted, and instead of prosecuting his attackers, woke politicians went after Mike Strickland for showing his gun. He went to jail. His attackers were never pursued. In fact, they were never identified in court or by any of the undercover cops that had infiltrated the protest crowd that day." . . .

Megan Rapinoe and Necessary Schadenfreude; She led the team by attitude when it wasn’t game time, embarrassing herself and the country. But when it mattered, she choked.

  Townhall

Whatever off-field leadership she had to offer could still have been offered, though much of what she brings off the field is described by former teammates as bullying on political activism.

"The United States Women’s National Soccer Team is out of the Women’s World Cup. You couldn’t have missed the story, the media was more invested in the team than some team members appeared to be – hyping their every move. But the dream is over, they lost to Sweden on penalty kicks. While the press laments their defeat, a lot of normal people, myself included, are either engaging in schadenfreude over the loss or desperately fighting the urge to. If you fall into the latter category, let it go. Sometimes schadenfreude is warranted and useful to prevent the need for much more of it in the future.

"Megan Rapinoe is a hard person to like. Personally, I find it impossible. There’s something especially annoying about people who have so much whining about what they don’t have like they’re entitled to it. That’s why I can’t stand Democrats – you want “more”? Get off your ass and earn it.

"Rapinoe felt like she deserved more because she was the best women’s soccer player in the world and she wasn’t making as much as men were. So what? Women’s sports don’t bring in nearly as much as men do, so the pay should be less. Draw a crowd, sell some merch and the cash follows. She didn’t want to earn it, and it turns out she didn’t have to." . . .

. . .Megan got her activism – many on the team disrespected the national anthem, something Rapinoe pioneered. Who knows what would have happened if she and her toxic attitude weren’t there?   Even if she were honest and realized her making the team was more of a PR stunt than merit based, she could have told the coach to put someone else, someone younger and better, in the final game over her. But ego is was Megan Rapinoe had more than anything else throughout her career."

“I don’t want to put you on the spot — I think I could still play soccer and do this,” Rapinoe said. “But if you need a vice president, I’m just saying I’m available for an interview. We can talk logistics and the details. Put it on your list.

Congratulations on your suicide, Baltimore

. . ."So the newspaper’s worries not about the millions in value vanishing from the owners of commercial real estate. The newspaper’s only concern is that city won’t collect as much from onerous property taxes as it used to.

"One South Street lost 64% of its value in 8 short years.

"Now what happened 8 years ago when the owners sold the 30-story building cashed in and pocketed $66 million for a building that is now worth $24 million?

"The Freddie Gray riots.

"When a career criminal died in the hospital from spinal cord injuries, the ignorant masses blamed the police. The city filed charges against 6 officers but none stuck because they were political prosecutions. Nevertheless, the city gave Gray’s family (spins dial) $6.4 million.

"The real problem was Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake sided with the rioters. She ordered police to stand down and allow rioters to loot and destroy businesses.

"She told the press, “I made it very clear that I work with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their right to free speech.

" 'It's a very delicate balancing act. Because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars and other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate.”

"Rioting is free speech!". . .

Nine Years Later, Race Hustlers are Still Lying About the Death of Michael Brown

  Legal Insurrection

The “hands up, don’t shoot” lie gave birth to the formal Black Lives Matter movement. Possibly the most significant social and political movement of the past decade, one that has re-shaped our country, was based on a lie that is repeated year after year after year. I’m never, ever, going to stop telling the truth about it.

"Nine years ago today, Michael Brown was shot dead by policeman Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. The death created the Black Lives Matter movement, which prior to that was only a hashtag, and took it to national fame, based on the claim that Brown was shot with his “hands up” while pleading “don’t shoot.”

"But the Black Lives Matter movement was birthed based up on a lie. Two lies, actually. The first was the lie about the Trayvon Martin shooting that created the hashtag – Martin was not shot because he was black while wearing a hoodie. He was shot one time by George Zimmerman while Martin was beating him to a bloody pulp mixed martial arts style and slamming his head into concrete. We covered the trial exhaustively, and Zimmerman properly was found by the jury to have acted in lawful self-defense.

"But the Brown lie was even bigger, because it birthed both the formal movement and the movement’s overarching propaganda slogan, “hands up, don’t shoot.” . . .

Cori Bush Hit With Immediate Reality Check After Mourning Michael Brown Nine Years After His Death – RedState   "Like the other members of the so-called “Squad” of woke liberals in Congress, Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) has become infamous for giving Democrats nightmares by inadvertently calling attention to how far out of the mainstream they’ve become on issues like abortion, community policing, and pronoun politics.

In addition to being a raging hypocrite, Bush has also become notorious for racial arson in the way she belittles black conservatives and completely revises history when it suits her political purposes." . . .

. . .Then-Democratic nominee for president Joe Biden shamelessly did it in August 2020. In 2019, then-presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren also got in on the action with claims so wildly off the mark regarding what happened that even the Dem apologists at several leading fact-checking orgs stepped in to correct the record.

If Democrats did not have the race card to fall back on as a crutch and rallying cry, their party as we know it would cease to exist. . . .

'Hands Up, Don't Shoot' makes WaPo's list of false claims | Washington Examiner

No post about race hoaxes should omit a quote by ex-slave Booker T. Washington.

Way back in 1911 he said:

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

California’s New ‘Gas Price-Gouging Law’ Flunks the Basic Economics Test - Foundation for Economic Education

Fee.org   "Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) took to Twitter earlier this week to crow about California ’s “first-in-the-nation” gas price-gouging law designed to prevent oil companies from overcharging consumers.

“A NEW independent watchdog — The Division of Petroleum Market Oversight — will monitor the industry to help ensure you’re not being ripped off,” Newsom tweeted. “Time to hold oil companies accountable.”
"The legislation, which was signed into law in March and went into effect on Monday, requires refineries to send daily reports to the petroleum oversight division — all to protect consumers by shining “a light on price manipulation so Californians aren't vulnerable to the greedy whims of Big Oil," in Newsom’s words.
"The idea that greedy oil companies are swindling consumers is alluring, especially since California has the highest gas prices in the country — about $1.08 more than the U.S. average, according to Jamie Court, the president of Consumer Watchdog.
"But there are better explanations for California’s high gas prices than “price gouging.”
"or starters, California consumers pay 83.5 cents in taxes and fees for every gallon of gas they pump, according to the Energy Information Administration — more than any other state with the exception of Illinois (85.8 cents per gallon).
"This alone is a big reason Californians pay much more for gas than most other Americans, but it’s not the only reason." . . .
