MSNBC Producer Quits, Pens Letter Calling Network A ‘Cancer’ That Stokes ‘Racial Division’

Staff at MSNBC are panicking over network’s direction under Rashida Jones

. . ."Most alarming to some, Jones appears to be re-examining the mission of MSNBC, signaling she wants to battle CNN on breaking news rather than focus on its “personality-driven, opinion programming with big stars,” a source said." . . .

"Personalities? Such as the below-mentioned Joy Reid? And Ali "Not, generally speaking, unruly." Velshi

MSNBC Producer Quits, Pens Letter Calling Network A ‘Cancer’ That Stokes ‘Racial Division’
A former MSNBC producer wrote an open letter on Monday explaining why she left the far-left network a little over a week ago, saying that they are a “cancer” that is “stoking national division” by amplifying “fringe voices” and forcing “journalists to make bad decisions on a daily basis.”

MSNBC Racist Joy Reid Whines About ‘Male White Tears’ Of Rittenhouse And Kavanaugh

"Some people just don’t belong on television."

MSNBC Host Makes Unbelievably Racist Comment While Accusing Republicans of Being Racist-   "MSNBC is at it again, perpetuating fake outrage and infecting the world with liberal propaganda. It’s amazing liberals are so entranced by such a dangerous network that is happy to infect the population with bogus ideologies.

"What’s worse is they pretend like what they’re saying doesn’t cause irreparable harm to the nation because you see the same issues MSNBC (and CNN for that matter) anchors toxically debate regurgitated on all social platforms. What’s worse is that some of them spread what they heard on MSNBC or CNN and self-righteously pawn if off as if they thought of it first. We all see it though." . . .

MSNBC host slams truckers; too white, MAGA, and old – over 55, ‘aggressive’ on the road  "An MSNBC host seems to be playing the race car in the process of generalizing about “unwelcoming’ and “aggressive” commercial truck drivers who are supposedly too white, male, and MAGA. Ageism may also be in play.

"Tiffany Cross, who noted that her brother is a truck driver and that she is concerned for his safety, began the segment on the “The Cross Connection” show by pointing out that a shortage of thousands of long-haul operators is exacerbating the supply chain crisis.

"She then steered the conversation in a different direction when she claimed that after speaking to a number of drivers in preparation for the interview, “they talked about, you know, hearing some of the racism over the CB [radio].' ”. . .

Perhaps they were listening to MSNBC.. Maybe those weren't truckers spouting racism but MSNBC anchors..

MSNBC Slammed Over ‘Disgusting Racist Rant’ Attacking Black Republican: ‘Unbelievably Insidious’

"MSNBC host Joy Reid and frequent guest Michael Eric Dyson faced backlash online late on Thursday evening after a video clip went viral from Reid’s show that was widely panned as blatantly racist." . . .

. . ."Some of the most notable responses to Dyson’s remarks included:

  • Colin Wright, evolutionary biologist: “This is one of the more disgusting racist rants I’ve heard in a while. The ideology producing this is unbelievably insidious. I just can’t fathom how so many self-proclaimed “anti-racists” are unable to see this rant as the epitome of what they claim to be against.”
  • Becket Adams, commentator: “It’s a scandal of its own that not a single on-air personality at MSNBC has the balls even to suggest this stuff may be out of line.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid stirs up anger over Gabby Petito case, says public only cares because of ‘missing white woman syndrome’

“Just say you hate white women already,” conservative reporter Cassandra Fairbanks tweeted“The people who spammed us with wall to wall George Floyd are seriously angry that people care about a murdered woman.”

MSNBC being, well, MSNBC.

First, the cute commercial at the center of the kerfuffle:
"MSNBC brought upon itself a tsunami-sized response from conservatives Wednesday evening for a Tweet promoting an article at MSNBC.com about the new Cheerios ad set to debut during this weekend’s Super Bowl broadcast." From The Gateway Pundit

Slimy MSNBC fails to apologize for deleted claim of ‘conservative’ backlash against biracial family  First, the Tweet from MSNBC:
BUSTED: MSNBC Race-Baiters Quietly Edit Cheerios Article Smearing Conservatives "In other words, Gabriela Resto-Montero and MSNBC made up the alleged ‘conservative’,’ right wing’ racist attack on the Cheerios ad.
After Michelle Malkin went after MSNBC on Twitter, MSNBC.com Executive Editor Richard Wolffe posted a personal apology on Twitter. Wolffe did not apologize for the article that prompted the tweet nor did he mention the edit.
"The article was edited so that the word conservative was taken out. The article now reads “…sparked a backlash last year.. ”
This from the network that mocked the biracial Romney family a short time back.

"In a now-deleted tweet, MSNBC predicted “the rightwing” would hate a cute Cheerios ad featuring a biracial family. MSNBC executive editor Richard Wolffe absurdly claimed that his race-baiting network’s race-baiting tweet was “not who we are at MSNBC.' ”
Who you gonna believe - MSNBC or your lying eyes?

From Newsbusters: MSNBC* Slimes 'Right Wing' as Racist Over Cheerios Ad Featuring Biracial Kid; Forced to Apologize
*Home of the race-o-phobic Chris Matthews
"Less than a month after Melissa Harris-Perry's tear-drenched apology for a panel discussion on her MSNBC program which mocked Mitt Romney's adopted black grandson, the cable network again had to apologize on Wednesday, this time for an online post (now deleted) that unjustly accused conservatives of being against interracial marriage and reproduction. An anonymous writer on MSNBC's official Twitter account wrote: "Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go awww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family."

"Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin led the charge against the inflammatory Tweet, encouraging her followers to post photos of their multiracial families, using the hashtag #MyRightWingBiracialFamily. It didn't take long for the pictures to come in:"  Read more:

In conclusion, the author of this Newsbusters piece, Matthew Balan wrote:

This latest MSNBC controversy struck a particular chord with me, as I am biracial myself. It was my immigrant father, who came to the United States from the Philippines five years before I was born, who helped form my sense of patriotism and my conservatism. My Caucusian mother of Polish/German/mixed British heritage deserves much of the credit for my Catholic faith and for my pro-life activism. The left's overuse of the race card regularly infuriates me, as too many of them cannot fathom that any "diverse" person could be a conservative. I hope that MSNBC's apology was sincere, but I can't say I will be surprised if they get caught up in another racial gaffe in the future.

MSNBC is a real piece of work.

Lefties losing it: Jon Stewart ridicules MSNBC ‘meltdown’ over Joe Biden decal (youtube.com) "Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to footage of The Daily Show host Jon Stewart “actually being funny”.

"Mr Stewart lampooned MSNBC for refusing to show a “disturbing” image of Joe Biden being tied up on a pickup truck decal. "Just earlier this month, much of the media in the US had an absolute meltdown about an obviously doctored image – a meme basically – on the back of a pickup truck,” Ms Panahi said. “Can’t imagine why people have lost trust in the media – even Jon Stewart has lost faith.”

MSNBC DESTROYS Jen Psaki Trying To Spin Biden Freefall   "MSNBC can't cover up that voters are waffling to side with Donald Trump - yet Psaki tries to claim President Biden stands for the 'ideals of the greatest generation'. Talk is cheap as the past 4 years of the Biden Administration has shown quite the opposite in a huge push of progressive non-sense. People are waking up and not buying into the garbage being hurled. The current administration is failing and it's just rolling out the red carpet for President Trump to get back into power."

A news network where not one employee appears to have ever had a desire to be a reputable, trusted journalist: Chris Hayes, Nicolle Wallace, Rachael Maddow, Joy Reid, Lawrence O'Donnell tear into anyone not a leftist. TD

. . ."Analysis / Bias

"In review, MSNBC uses strong emotionally loaded headlines such as this “GOP senator says he’s ‘concerned’ Trump was ‘involved in a crime” and “Cohen gets 3 years in jail for covering up Trump’s ‘dirty deeds’”. Generally, story selection favors the Left; however, they are also occasionally criticized by left-leaning organizations. For example, according to Fair.org, MSNBC did not dedicate much airtime to the West Virginia Teachers Strike until the fair.org article was published. Further, Salon published an article criticizing MSNBC for employing the “Republican Never Trump” type of conservatives.

"According to the article, they are “Loading up on semi-repentant conservatives and ignoring the activist left, MSNBC is doing the nation a disservice.” In other words, MSNBC is so focused on negative coverage of Donald Trump that they are ignoring the progressive left and actually moving right. However, as a whole, according to Pew Research Center, MSNBC is favored by a liberal audience, which indicates content and story selection tends to lean left to appeal to their core viewers. Further, MSNBC frequently reports negatively on progressive candidates.  Lastly, in a 2018 survey conducted by the Knight Foundation/Gallup, they found that the public rates MSNBC the 3rd most biased media source (left) behind Fox News and Breitbart (right).

"When reporting news, MSNBC mainly provides video clips from reporters in the field. Text-based news comes directly from the Left-Center NBC News website. When reporting straight news stories, MSNBC is highly factual and well-sourced. They use NBC News as their primary source; however, due to some of the guest political pundits spreading misinformation on their daily programs, we cannot rate MSNBC High for factual reporting on the whole." . .  .

MSNBC's Joy Reid: "You do not have to suffer from Eternal Bitterness Syndrome to be a Leftist, but it sure helps”

The Daley Gator

Her anger and bitterness are eating her up inside. And so, she lashes out at those who have happiness and joy in their lives. I don’t know what it would take for her to find a little happiness. You would think that after her side won the election she would be happy. But then, she knows that the election was not won fairly, and that biden is not legitimately the President. And she knows we know. And that is scaring her to death. There is no hope for her. And no joy. Ironic, isn’t it Joy?

"Take Loony Joy Reid for instance. The Other McCain examines her constant anger

"Liberals have spent five years ranting about “white supremacy” (when they weren’t busy ranting about “Russian collusion” or accusing Brett Kavanaugh of being a serial rapist) and the rest of us have been left to our own resources to figure out exactly what liberals mean when they accuse Republicans of being “white supremacists.” So now an eminent spokeswoman for liberalism has finally offered some clarification:

MSNBC host Joy Reid said Wednesday that for “people on the right,” not being able to “be openly racist and discriminatory without consequence is suppression.”
Reid, responding to a tweet from MSNBC political contributor Dr. Jason Johnson, said “people on the right would trade all the tax cuts for the ability to openly say the n-word like in ‘the good old days.’”
“To them, not being able to be openly racist and discriminatory without consequence is oppression,” Reid wrote. “Trump is the avatar for this ‘freedom.’”
Both Reid and Johnson were addressing Deseret News article by journalist Bari Weiss, who claims “self-censorship is threatening democracy.” .  . .

Joy Reid: Red States Want Black People Alive to Make Steaks, and Want to Use N-Word   "The race for the “most embarrassing person on TV” is heating up. Chris Cuomo continues to make a strong case, Don Lemon never disappoints, but MSNBC’s Joy Reid may have just taken the lead." . . .Who knows what Cuomo will say tonight, whether Jemele Hill’s Vice show ever gets attention, or whether some sucker will put insane tweeter Keith Olbermann back on TV — so for now, Joy Reid has pulled away as the worst person on TV."

There is no joy in Reidville; anger has been worth big bucks to her: The Power in Being an Angry Black Woman

Why on Earth does MSNBC’s Joy Reid still have a job?

Joy Reid uses Rush Limbaugh’s death to hurl twisted racial smear at his long-time friend and producer  "Not content to just smear legendary radio show host Rush Limbaugh now that he’s passed of lung cancer, left-wing media figures are aiming their sights at his longtime talented producer and friend, James Golden, aka Bo Snerdley." . . .

"Reid is among the many far-leftists who nevertheless believe Limbaugh was an “evil” person just because he made unorthodox, smart-alecky jokes.

"Meanwhile, in reality, the MSNBC host is the same woman who attacked then-House Majority Whip Steve Scalise after he was nearly murdered during the baseball shooting in 2017. Why did she attack him? For the crime of being a standard conservative." . . .

While the Sanders campaign demanded an apology from the network, critics of Joy Ann Reid's morning show said the segment was "fraudulent garbage" and a "disgrace.". . . "MSNBC is a f*cking disgrace," said journalist Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept. Greenwald said the use of "bulls**t charlatan body language analysis" to call Sanders a liar was "appalling but typical" of the network." . . .

. . . "Media critic Adam Johnson noted, "just to be clear 'body language experts' aren't actually a thing and MSNBC should stop having them on all the time in general.' " . . .

MSNBC’s Joy Reid is the wrongest person on television  . . . "But! Joy Reid is a television pundit, albeit one who toils for the hysterical conspiracy-theory factory known as MSNBC, and hence can never suffer any penalty for being factually inept: Hey, it’s only somebody talking. Did you make the mistake of assuming MSNBC was about accuracy?. . . "If MSNBC were capable of shame, it would announce that Reid has been suspended and told not to come back to work until she is up to speed on basic civics. But then again, Reid’s balderdash is in harmony with MSNBC’s brand: Just think of the network as Mostly Stupid but Nobody Cares." . . .

Carolla smacks down ‘narcissist’ Joy Reid’s bragging rant on Dems having ‘the glamorous culture’  ..."Following MSNBC airing the big “Celebrating America” prime time special for Joe Biden’s inauguration, Joy Reid dripped praise for the event and said it shows how “Democrats have the culture” and the right “hates that.” She went on to explain how that makes the left so much better than the right."...

Mocking Maddow: MSNBC Host Roasted Into Next Week for Saying Network Doesn’t Air 'Untrue Things'

  RedState

"There are few things as rich as when someone who routinely does something turns around and admonishes you for doing it. It’d be like Joe Biden lecturing you on plagiarism, Stormy Daniels sermonizing about ethics, or Adam Schiff getting on a soap box to warn about the “dangers to democracy” when he himself embodies the concept.

"Such was the case Tuesday night when MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow ludicrously claimed her network would never knowingly broadcast things they knew not to be true—despite the obvious evidence that they’ve been doing that exact thing for years.

"Luckily, we have the receipts, which I will get to later.

"But first, let’s let the newscaster, who makes millions despite only appearing once a week on the airwaves, speak for herself. She was discussing former President Donald Trump’s arraignment in the classified documents case and declaring in advance that she would censor his (then) upcoming speech from his Bedminster, N.J. golf club."

The legendary MSNBC"s Ali Velshi and his "Mostly peaceful riots"

MSNBC, CNN anchors blasted as ‘DNC propagandists’ after clips used in pro-Biden ad  . . ."Glenn Greenwald, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, reacted on Wednesday to an ad released by the DNC showing several anchors and commentators from the two news networks.

"'President Biden’s strong, steady leadership delivered once again for the American people to avoid catastrophic default and protect our economic recovery,” read the caption of the June 2 tweet, which was posted on its “DNC War Room” account.

"The ad, which was produced shortly after President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reached a deal on raising the debt ceiling, then showed MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell declaring “Joe Biden won. Kevin McCarthy lost. The Democrats have delivered.” ...

The ad also featured clips of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Joy Reid praising Biden as well as interviews with Democrats on CNN who hailed the president and his “excellent negotiators.”

MSNBC apologizes again

MSNBC Fires Employee Responsible for Cheerios Tweet "Priebus sent a letter Thursday morning to Griffin denouncing what he characterized as "demeaning attacks" that "have become a pattern" at MSNBC.
" 'With increasing frequency many of your hosts have personally denigrated and demeaned Americans -- especially conservative and Republican Americans -- without even attempting to further meaningful political dialogue," wrote the RNC chairman.
"It is the latest embarrassing gaffe for MSNBC, which has already parted ways with Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin, while weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry issued a tearful apology for belittling Mitt Romney's adopted African-American grandson.
....
[Sean Spicer] "continued: "We don’t expect their liberal bias to change, but we will call them out when political commentary devolves into personal and belittling attacks.' "

NBC, MSNBC sink to bottom of who the public trusts   "In its fifth trust poll, 35 percent said they trusted Fox news more than any other outlet, followed by PBS at 14 percent, ABC at 11 percent, CNN at 10 percent, CBS at 9 percent, 6 percent for MSNBC and Comedy Central, and just 3 percent for NBC."

MSNBC's Chuck Todd fears "There is a dehumanization going on. There’s some opinion folks trying to dehumanize politicians and other reporters.”
MSNBC anchor Alec Baldwin was recently fired for screaming anti-gay slurs on the street. And let's not forget that MSNBC hired Baldwin just a few weeks after the actor hurled homophobic slurs and threats at a gay journalist.

MSNBC anchor Martin Bashir was recently shown the door for arguing that someone should defecate in the mouth of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

MSNBC anchor Melissa Harris-Perry recently had to apologize for hosting a segment that ridiculed Mitt Romney's adopted grandson over the fact that the infant is black.

MSNBC anchor Toure' recently attacked CNN's Don Lemon's racial bona fides with a taunt accusing the black anchor of being a "white leader."

And there just isn't enough room on the Internet to list the sins MSNBC and NBC News committed against George Zimmerman, or the outright fraud NBC News and MSNBC have engaged in to unjustly smear the Tea Party and Rick Perry and others as every "ist" known to man.

MSNBC: No more Walter Cronkite and Eric Severeid; UPDATED 2/24; 6pm cst

"This settlement joins other recent, high dollar settlements and judgements against the media, and there will be more to come. The media’s lack of credibility, as always, is self-inflicted." Mike McDaniel

Tom Stiglich

Media fails; NBC settles   "In 2020, MSNBC talking heads had a story too good to check. It combined advocacy for illegal immigration and allegations of horrendous governmental abuse of illegal immigrant women, a Democrat/socialist/communist (D/s/c) twofer, until it blew up in NBC’s face: "  . . .

MSNBC drama intensifies as network axes shows hosted by 3 more lefty anchors in wake of Joy Reid’s ouster: sources    "MSNBC’s new president continued to overhaul the embattled network Monday — canceling shows hosted by anchors left-wing anchors Ayman Mohyeldin, Katie Phang and Jonathan Capehart, The Post has learned.
"Mohyeldin, Capehart and Phang will remain at the network. Mohyeldin and Capehart will host shows in new time slots.
"Phang, who broadcast her show from Miami, was told her program will end as the network sunsets its South Florida-based operations. She will stay on as a legal correspondent while Mohyeldin and Capehart will host shows in new time slots."
. . ."The Egyptian-born Mohyeldin was among the anchors MSNBC reportedly sidelined following outrage over the network’s biased coverage of the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas in Israel."
“It is a horror, a massacre. For those asking for the source. They are multiple: Israeli army, internal intelligence service and atrocious images which reached me and which I was able to cross-check,” she said. “But the best source remains this: courageous journalists from the foreign press who were able to see / agreed to see with their own eyes the bodies in Kfar Aza.”

. . ."The [Israeli] woman grew visibly irritated with Mitchell when she asked her to comment on Israel’s retaliatory airstrikes in Gaza.

" 'I can’t be sympathetic to animal human beings — well, they’re not really human beings — who came into my house, broke everything, stole everything, took my children from their bedrooms and took them to the Gaza Strip,” she told Mitchell."

POLL: What Was the Worst Media Take of the Week?

BREAKING: MSNBC Announces Sweeping Lineup Overhaul

. . ."The overhaul is the first major move being made by Rebecca Kutler, a cable news veteran who was named president of the left-leaning network earlier this month. Mark Lazarus, the CEO of MSNBC’s parent company SpinCo (the network is being spun off from Comcast and decoupled from NBC News), had previously named Kutler interim president following the exit of Rashida Jones.

"Among the major changes: Jen Psaki, former press secretary in the Biden White House, will take over the 9 p.m. hour Tuesday through Friday. The hour is currently being hosted by Rachel Maddow, who returned five-days-a-week in the slot for the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s administration.

"Inside with Jen Psaki, which the network said was Kutler’s brainchild, has been a success for MSNBC since it launched in 2023, drawing strong reviews and solid ratings for the network.

"Maddow will return to hosting her eponymous show only on Monday nights, and Alex Wagner, who had replaced her in the hour for the rest of the week, will lose her show but remain at the network as senior political analyst.

@chrislhayes, Rachel @maddow, Nicole Wallace, and @jacobsoboroff spread the lies. Many of MSNBC’s “news” talent have shared serial lies, hoaxes and conspiracy theories.
The doctor defamed by MSNBC received death and bomb threats, and lost his job. Leftists used the lies to say ICE and Trump are Nazis.

. . .  "These are some of the comments on the Rachel Maddow hoax clip about the Georgia doctor performing Nazi-style operations to mass sterilize women at an ICE facility during Trump’s first administration."

Babylon Bee sees an opening for some MSNBC parody:  Trump Says To Drink Lots Of Water, Media Reports He Told Everyone To Drown Themselves  . . ." 'Trump says water is good -- but this is very misleading," said Rachel Maddow. "Did you know that water kills many people every year? These dangerous, unhinged remarks from the president could cause many to drown themselves. Plus, do you know what's hidden in water? Sharks. This president wants you to die from a shark attack!"

"Representatives for various bottled water companies quickly released a statement distancing themselves from the president's remarks and warning everyone not to submerge themselves in the ocean for minutes at a time."

Racist Joy Reid FINALLY Gets Fired By MSNBC, with Megyn Kelly and Victor Davis Hanson   "Megyn Kelly is joined by Victor Davis Hanson, author of "The Case For Trump," to discuss Joy Reid finally getting fired from MSNBC, her obvious racism throughout her entire career, the worst moments from her time on TV, her declining ratings and the demise of the entire corporate media, and more."

MSNBC does not spell "Journalism"

Why are we wasting our time discussing what they say at MSNBC?
"Trust me I'm not complaining!
"There are a few things that I figured out about MSNBC yeas ago:

"1) The network lacks maturity, from stupid tweets to on the air remarks about Romney's grandchild.  MSNBC is a mess, as reported by The NY Post:
"In the past two months alone, three MSNBC anchors - Martin Bashir, Alec Baldwin and Melissa Harris-Perry - experienced damaging cases of foot-in-mouth syndrome and had to apologize.
Two - Bashir and Baldwin - lost their jobs."
"2) Most people see MSNBC as opinion rather than news:"

But "Law & Order" promoted them in their scripts many times.

MSNBC President Phil Griffin Claims Station Has No Ideology   "MSNBC’s current line-up begins with Morning Joe from 6 to 9 AM and continues with news oriented programs from 9 AM to noon. From there, he pointed out that the afternoon programs are more opinion oriented shows like the panel show The Cycle and Now With Alex Wagner. “Then you have the big voices of Ed Schultz, Rev [Al Sharpton], and Chris [Matthews],” Griffin added, “and then the big deeper thinkers of Chris Hayes, Rachel [Maddow], and Lawrence [O’Donnell].”

" 'In other words,” Grove jokingly asked Griffin, “if MSNBC’s day becomes increasingly Commie?”

" 'I prefer not to describe it that way,” Griffin said with a laugh. “We get more analytical as the day goes on.”

"Griffin says that Fox News, which draws more viewers than MSNBC, CNN, and HLN combined, has a definite ideology. “I think they do have an ideology,” Griffin said, “because every Republican who’s in trouble goes on that network to be taken care of… They’re owned by News Corp., which is Rupert Murdoch. Roger Ailes runs it, and he comes out of the Republican Party.” On MSNBC, Joan Walsh Said Bill O’Reilly’s Interview With Obama Was “Borderline Racist”…

Joan Walsh

Walsh said, ..."It means, again, that O’Reilly and Ailes and their viewers see this president as unqualified and ungrateful, an affirmative action baby who won’t thank us for all we’ve done for him and his cohort. The question was, of course, deeply condescending and borderline racist." ...  Emphasis in the original.
