"Recent events reveal more women who are waking up and rejecting woke feminism, even though that doesn’t always seem to be the case on the surface.
"Consider Lindsay Clancy, for instance, who was on trial for allegedly strangling her three young children. The case resulted in a mistrial, on account of one juror, one of only three men on the jury, who refused to go along with the others in dropping the murder charges against her. Supporters for Clancy gathered at the courthouse, standing vigil and holding signs calling for Clancy to be freed. Others posted videos on TikTok and other social media declaring their support Clancy.
"Around the same time, Massachusetts governor Maura Healey signed an abortion-up-until birth bill into law. The women surrounding her applauded and turned on bright smiles for the photographers.
"Other women, however, are expressing their outrage and disgust. In her American Thinker column, Patricia McCarthy pronounced the lone holdout on the jury a hero. “This is the now-institutionalized playbook of the woke left,” she wrote of Clancy’s supporters.
"Those ladies in pink are essentially a cult of wokery: What is wrong is right to them and what is right – accountability for one’s crime – is now wrong. They are of the cult that calls for the destruction of the nuclear family, the erasure of gender, the stupid belief in ‘toxic masculinity’ that has successfully made male-female relationships fraught with anxiety.
"Writing for Townhall, long-time commentator Laura Hollis addressed the horror of the Healey scene and the Clancy verdict, then added to that list of scorn and shame New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s recent signing of a law which will likely prohibit sidewalk protests and prayers against abortion. Hollis also mentions, but doesn’t support, the women on social media now proclaiming they’d give up their right to vote under the 19th Amendment if it meant putting an end to the insanity of these leftist feminists." . . .
