Best brief explanation of Critical Race Theory (independentsentinel.com)
In September 2020, Ray Sanchez, a faculty coordinator for Madera College, put up a good summary of Critical Race Theory, which grew out of Critical Theory. We wanted to share it with you here from Minding the Campus dot org.
"Critical Race Theory is a worldview that interprets everything through the lens of social and political power dynamics. It is an all-encompassing vision that views all cultural, political, and social institutions as oppressive and requires explicit and continuous anti-racism “work” to mete out its vision for a liberated humanity.
It is a race-focused ideology which necessitates good works—a faith plus works if you will, and the only meritorious work is anti-racist work.
In other words, it isn’t just a tool that describes the intersection of power, privilege, race, and racism. It is, at base, an overarching eschatological philosophy that claims that an oppressor group is tyrannizing or minoritizing an oppressed group and explicitly stipulates that “work” is required to change (i.e., deconstruct) society and Western institutions.
[Everything is seen through the prism of race. The group with the power is tyrannizing the group without the power].
"Mr. Sanchez then goes on to explain the essential ingredient of CRT: New Racism. Racism is no longer merely prejudice and discrimination based on race—that is Old Racism. New Racism has two primary components: institutional power and systems of privilege (or disadvantage) based on race.
"The rest is reworded for brevity but you should go back and read the author’s excellent wording and explanation." . . .
*Chilling look at our future: Training child revolutionaries who hate the USA (independentsentinel.com) . . ."Children are trained in Portland schools to see everything through a prism of race and to become revolutionaries. On a broader scale, this is exactly what Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project teach children. 1619 alone is now implemented in over 3500 school systems throughout the United States.". . .
OU Training Tells Faculty: 'In The Classroom, Free Speech Does Not Apply'
"According to newly released video footage, University of Oklahoma instructors want to punish students who defy campus orthodoxy. Their plan is to “avoid ‘a rhetoric of dysfunctional silence’ that closes ears to marginalized voices,” by — you guessed it — silencing marginalized voices.
On Tuesday, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), a nonprofit focused on protecting campus free speech, publicized video footage of an April 14 workshop on “Anti-Racist Rhetoric & Pedagogies” at the University of Oklahoma (OU). The workshop’s leaders presented slides about “systemic racism,” “white privilege,” and “subverting white institutional defensiveness.” In an attempt to teach so-called antiracism, the workshop’s leaders also promoted censorship and indoctrination.
"The event was “one of nine professional development workshops for instructors and grad students” at OU. During the workshop, three faculty members taught their colleagues “how to foster an anti-racist environment in their classrooms,” brainstorming tactics for dissuading, censoring, and penalizing “problematic” speech.". . .

Another Local Reporter Goes Off-Script to Blow the Whistle During Live Broadcast
April Moss announced during a live broadcast that she is blowing the whistle on her network |
. . . "April Moss, a weather reporter for a Detroit CBS affiliate, is the second local TV journalist to make an on-air announcement about working with the undercover journalism group in the space of a week.
"38-year-old Moss interrupted her own CBS 62 weather report live on air on Sunday to announce that she will be sitting down for an interview with James O'Keefe's Project Veritas.
"She told viewers that she is exposing "the discrimination that CBS is enforcing on its employees."
"Moss dropped the announcement in the middle of her weather report before returning to the script without missing a beat.
Olympic athlete vows to win medal in order to 'burn a US flag on the podium'
Yahoo "BMX freestyle Olympian Chelsea Wolfe said it was her goal to win a medal in the Tokyo Olympics so she could “burn a US flag on the podium."
Wolfe |
"Wolfe, a transgender woman, has since deleted the post, but she may still have an opportunity to medal at the Olympics. The BMX rider has qualified as an alternate for the Olympics, an accomplishment Wolfe in part credited to people who “helped me accept that I am a woman.” . . .
How to Make China Pay
How to Make China Pay (freebeacon.com)
Column: Engage Taiwan, boycott the 2022 Olympics, and impose a carbon tariff
"The debate over the origins of the coronavirus—did it come from a wet market in Wuhan or from the virology lab nearby—has exposed the bias of media and technology companies and the potential danger of so-called gain of function research. But it also has led to something of an intellectual cul-de-sac. Barring a high-level defection from the Chinese Communist Party,
we are unlikely ever to learn the answer. And even if we did have conclusive evidence one way or another, we still would have to decide what to do about it. The real question isn’t whether the pandemic is China’s fault. It’s whether China will pay a price for the catastrophic damage it caused the world.
"Wherever the virus came from, we know that the Chinese government lied about it for weeks. Dr. Ai Fen shared information about a novel coronavirus with her colleagues on December 30, 2019. The next day, as Lawrence Wright recounts in The Plague Year, China removed social media posts that mentioned "unknown Wuhan pneumonia" or "Wuhan Seafood Market." Dr. Li Wenliang, who warned the public that the virus could be transmitted from human to human, was arrested and forced to deliver a televised confession. He died of COVID-19 on February 6, 2020.
"Beijing prevaricated for a month while the deadly pandemic spread. China did not allow the World Health Organization to visit Wuhan until January 20, 2020. The same day, one of China’s top doctors finally admitted the obvious: COVID-19 is a communicable disease. By the time the Communist leadership took action, it was too late. On January 21, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control confirmed the first case of coronavirus in America. . . ."

Portland Runs Ad in NYT Promoting Tourism After Portland Police Riot Squad Quits
Rich Terrell |
“ 'You’ve heard a lot about us lately. It’s been a while since you heard from us,” it continues.
“ 'After a year of encouraging visitors and locals to support small businesses here and from a distance, it’s time to issue an invitation to come back to Portland,” the ad states. “Two sides to the same coin that keeps landing right on its edge. Anything can happen. We like it this way.”
" 'The ad also says “new ideas are welcome” in the city, a place where “you can be yourself.”
“This is the kind of place where new ideas are welcome — whether they’re creative, cutting-edge or curious at first glance. You can speak up here. You can be yourself here,” it contintinues.
[Yeah. Just ask Andy Ngo. And speak up for President Trump]
"The ad comes after Portland’s voluntary rapid response team of 50 resigned Thursday to protest charges against a police officer who allegedly hit an independent journalist in the Black Lives Matter riots that lit a federal building ablaze in August 2020.
"The police union said nearly 200 rioters set upon the voluntary rapid response team and that, reportedly, Officer Corey Budworth unintentionally hit the activist in the head with a baton, believing the activist was a part of the riot.". . .
Joe Biden Is Betraying Our Military

Andrew Malcolm "Imagine you’re a proud member of America’s military. Perhaps a naval aviator, returning from a long mission projecting U.S. power over a hostile place, landing a jet fighter on a moving aircraft carrier in a storm–at night. [Snip] They’re all volunteers these days, these men and women who do dangerous work in countless ways. Imagine after all these years of military training in killing and surviving, the oldest Commander-in-Chief in U.S. history comes before you with a stumbling speech to declare in clear, decisive language that the real threat to national security is not what you’ve been diligently preparing for all these years." . . .

End of an Era: The Rush Limbaugh Show Shuts Down
. . . "The Rush era was, in fact, truly over for once and for all and for good. What began almost a full 33 years ago and had quickly become an American institution was, as all things must, turning to memory.
"The good news is that, as also with all things, Rush left a legacy. And that legacy is that a new chapter in conservative talk radio begins. Buck Sexton and Clay Travis will fill the Rush slot, although, as they are doubtless the first to recognize, not his shoes.
"In fact, in true conservative fashion, there will be much competition out there in conservative radio. Dan Bongino has a show. Pittsburgh’s Rose Tennent has a show. And Sean Hannity is going nowhere. Doubtless there will be others as the next chapter in conservative talk radio unfolds.
"But one last time, as the Rush Limbaugh show officially ends it is a moment to reflect on Rush and what he created and now has left behind - and his contributions to this new chapter." . . .
All of this - local conservative talk radio hosts, national talk radio conservative hosts, and conservative television networks are a monumental legacy. While it’s always wise to never say never, it is hard to imagine any other media figure having as great an impact on the American scene as Rush Limbaugh.
"So with the official close of the Rush Limbaugh Show and the Rush Limbaugh era, the next chapter in conservative media begins."And thanks to Rush Limbaugh a thousand conservative media flowers can be expected to bloom." . . .
Shameless: Biden shows up to mass as communion issue rages
So now the shameless usurper has decided to play Mr. Catholic by showing up for mass. Why this gets any coverage whatsoever is obnoxious in the extreme. Biden isn't changing any. He's telling the Church that it needs to change its views and open the gates to abortion as a free for all, not him. That's the hallmark of arrogance and conceit. Why is this bounder undermining the cause of life in the Church at all?
Monica Showalter . . . "Biden made sure to answer one reporter's shouted question with his own stance on the issue:
For his part, Biden dismissed the bishops' move on Friday.
'That’s a private matter, and I don’t think that’s going to happen,' he told reporters at the White House when asked the possibility that he and other politicians could be denied Communion.
"Which is a little arrogant, given that he wouldn't exactly know unless someone among the bishops is leaking to him. It's in the same vein as Democrat clowns "daring" the bishops to deny wonderful-them communion, too. LifeNews described his attitude as "defiant" and "smug."
"It's actually a bit of a moot point in that Biden is married to a divorced woman whose spouse is still living, a hardline 'no' for communion, although one wouldn't be surprised if the bishops broke their own rule and gave it to him while going hardline and denying it only to the little guys." . . .
